Silverstreak Salvage and auto modifications

As Speedy was cooking everypony dinner there was knocking at the door. Shine went to open it and let the pony in, after giving him a hug. He looked a lot like a dark blue bat pony, but instead had a curved horn instead of bat wings.

“Hey Nightshade, glad you could join us for dinner.” Speedy said to the stallion.

Nightshade looked at the group and nodded to them “nice to see you have company Speedy. I thought we'd be dining alone.”

Speedy laughed at Nightshade’s comment and set dinner on the table. While they ate Soarin and Fleetfoot explained to Nightshade why they were in Mane County.

“And that's why we need to see if we can put a stop to this” Soarin said “before too many ponies get hurt.”

“How many deaths have their been because of this?” Nightshade asked the detectives with some interest.

“At least a dozen so far” Soarin said “somewhere junkies who used it constantly while the rest were either regular citizens and even some of the Elementals.”

Speedy listened with less motivation than the others to do anything about it. Sure it could help businesses that have problems with drugs and a lot of innocent ponies not get hurt or killed but anything with the word ‘Elementals’ mentioned Speedy will start to lose interest.

“My best guess is to check out the local bars and stores to see what we could find.” Thunder said to the group “Maybe find a clue to where the Riders make their product.”

Soon after dinner and getting Shine to sleep, the group then got into their respective cars and drove to the nearby bar with Speedy driving his grey Dodge Charger. Soarin and Fleetfoot took the Mustang given to them while Thunder and Nightshade drove in the Trans Am Thunder owned.

Soon they arrived at a run down looking building with the words “HORNETS NEST INN” written on the roof above the main door. Speedy has been in here multiple times before, which usually ranged from victory drinks from winning street races to laying low from the local gangs and police. The group walked in and were greeted by a bar fight going on against a griffion and a younger earth pony.

Speedy looked towards the older unicorn mare sitting behind the bar with a agitated look on her face. What Speedy noticed was a older pegasus watching with a similar look on his face.“What happens to whoever wins?” the pegasus said to the bartender.

“They get banned from the bar” the bartender said back to him. Soon the pegasus got up and grabbed the griffion by the neck and slammed his face into the wall a couple times. The griffion fell unconscious and the pegasus held up the earth pony's hand “he wins. Ban him.”

“Can't “ the mare said “he's my husband” in which the pegasus looked at the earth stallion and back towards her.

“He's young enough to be your son” he said to the mare as the earth pony sat back down.

“Ain't the Internet a beautiful thing Clever?” the mare responded, which Clever shrugged as a reply.

“only thing good about the Internet is clop and real estate.” Clever said which caused Speedy to chuckle. Clever turned and smiled at Speedy “there's my nephew!” and stretch out his arms for a hug.

Speedy just laughed and hugged Clever back “Whatever you say clever and oof” Speedy said waving the air in front of his nose “take a fucking bath sometimes.”

Clever just shrugged at Speedy's mention of his hygiene. Clever Hiccups was well known in Mane County for being rather unstable when provoked. Since nopony let him in the Equestrian Air Force he settled for the Griffionstone Royal Air Force. He showed high amounts of knowledge and skill with aircraft but his captain refused him to fly do to his mental problems, in which Clever responded by forcefully ramming the captain's wings into his ass.

Speedy always was called Clever’s nephew even though they were never related in anyway possible. But when Speedy came to Mane County it was Clever who took him and his sister in. Clever did his best to raise them even when what he taught wasn't a good idea, such as desert burials in the middle of the night or how to properly destroy a chem lab with Speedy.

Soon the group sat down and explained to their new friend about the Midnight Riders, in which he responded by explaining that they are affecting his business as well. Soarin and Fleetfoot looked at Clever with caution in which Clever said he stays within the county to help business, which relieved the two detectives.

Soon after the discussion a light grey earth pony mare and a darker grey earth mare entered the bar. “Speedy! Where the fuck are you?!” the light grey mare said looking towards the bar.

Speedy groaned and laid his head on the counter “damnit.” he got out of his seat and stood to face the two mares “go away Limestone. I have guests to attend to here.” Speedy never necessarily dislike the Pie family but really didn’t like Limestone’s attitude towards others.

“Whatever “ Limestone said back to him “thanks to our last race I lost my family's rent money. I call a rematch where if I win you pay me double what I gave you.” Speedy knew she was serious about doing this rematch so he thought of a fair wager.

“Fine. But if I win, you give me your GTR.” Speedy replied back. Limestone stepped back in surprise at what he said. She spent a good amount of her pay on her Nissan Skyline GTR and was never willing to get rid of it unless necessary.

“........Deal” Limestone sighed “full circuit, one lap, winner takes all.” Speedy smiled and outstretched his hand for her to shake. They both shook and went out to their cars with everypony else following.

Soon down the road from the bar both Limestone and Speedy were parked side by side on the road waiting to start the race. Speedy made sure his nitrous tanks were on just in case while Limestone was putting her seatbelts on.

Speedy was driving his metal gray 1968 Dodge Charger equipped with a supercharged V8 engine, street slick tires, full roll cage, racing seats with five point racing harnesses, and two nitrous tanks behind the front seats.

Limestone was driving her red 1997 Nissan Skyline GTR that had a twin turbo engine, modified transmission and drivetrain, roll cage and one nitrous tank. Her car had race decals on it but with all the racing she does the decals have been fading away or falling off. Even some of the car's panels were either duct taped or zip tied together so it wouldn't fall apart while racing.

Soon Marble walked between the cars and stood in front of them. Both of the car's engines idled until Marble held up her flashlight then they both started revving. As soon as she turned on the light both drivers hit the throttle of their cars. Speedy's car took off the line so quick that the front lifted off the ground sending the car into a wheelie.

After some throttle control Speedy got the front of the car back down and seen he was a little bit ahead of Limestone. He shifted his car as it sped up and they soon both reached the first corner, which was in front of the bar and had some spectators watching. Limestone slowed down and took the turn with ease while Speedy went behind her and sent his car into a drift. After the turn Limestone was in front and drove faster but couldn't outrun the power of Speedy's car.

Limestone swerved in front of Speedy and slowed him down. He kept trying to pass het but she kept staying in front of him. The next turn came up and Limestone hit her brakes locking the car's wheels up. She slid onto the dirt while Speedy took the corner with ease and sped ahead of her. Soon though Limestone was picking up speed again and was right behind him.

Speedy kept ahead of Limestone but started to get bumped from her car. He felt a couple times the rear tires lose traction but kept his car in control down the road and around the third turn. Limestone drove up beside Speedy and drove into the side of his car a couple times.

Soon the fourth turn came up which was a sharp right turn. Both cars slowed down and slid around the corner which ended up with Speedy and Limestone next to each other. It was a straight line shot to the finish and both were pushing their cars hard to win. Limestone knew she couldn't outrun him on straights and hit the nitrous button on her steering wheel.

Limestone’s car lurched forward with the nitrous helping her. Just as Speedy was gonna hit his nitrous button though her car started spewing smoke underneath which was followed by a loud bang and her car quickly slowing down. Speedy drove past her and soon crossed the finish with Limestone slowly crawling to a stop.

“Damnit” Limestone said disappointed “I blew the engine.” she opened the hood and smoke spewed out into a large cloud. Speedy walked up to her and she held out her keys. “Well…...car's yours then” she said in defeat.

Speedy then took her hand and closed it around her keys which surprised Limestone. “Keep your car” Speedy said “ and I'll give you double what you paid me. We'll take the car to my place and get it repaired tomorrow.”
Limestone just looked at Speedy and then got into her car. Speedy grabbed a chain from inside his car and hooked it to the front axle of her car and the rear chassis of his car. Soon the group separated with Limestone and Speedy going to his home, Soarin and Fleetfoot going to the hotel, and Nightshade and Thunder going to Nightshade’s home.
