On a typical Saturday morning, Spike makes a new friend in a colt named Buster when he stops by the Golden Oaks Library to return a book. Seeing they have so much in common, he and Spike decide to spend their day together making a movie, in which Spike is the leading star and the director.

With no script, no budget, few actors, some instances of meddling and a lack of communication, Spike will do whatever he can to complete his cinematic magnum opus.
