Round 1: Fillydelphia

After a night's rest at the local hotel, Speedy and Twilight were sitting at their starting point on the outer edge of Fillydelphia. At least two thirds of the city was shut down for the tournament to take place. Twilight groaned as she waited for the start, she never wanted to do this round but Speedy said he needed somepony to direct him and plus he threatened her saying that she won’t get her wish from Celestio if she refused.

While they waited the car's radio started playing. “Welcome all contenders to our annual tournament. I'm Celestio, founder of the tournament and ruler of Equestria. We have sixteen drivers in this round and only eight will proceed to the next round. We have crowd favorites from previous tournaments and some… new blood competing for the one thing they want: their greatest wish ever. I wish you drivers the best of luck and hope to have a good round.”

As soon as Celestio cut off a loud horn blared through the city. Speedy knew what it meant and started his car with a loud roar from the engine. “Put your seatbelt on. We're about to start.” Speedy said to Twilight. As she put her seatbelt on Speedy put on a flame designed hat and a pair of aviator sunglasses. The horn blared again and Speedy revved the engine of the car. Soon the horn blared again and they took off into the city. As they entered they started seeing other competitors, which Speedy heard of a few. “Keep an eye out for one's coming up behind us” Speedy said to Twilight “unless you want us dead.”

Twilight kept a watchful eye of her surroundings. There were so many drovers going past them that she couldn't keep track of them. She soon saw Sweet Treat and her truck hit the side of what looked like a modified exterminator van sending it into a wall while a modified taxi cab was firing at her. Speedy started explaining the tournament to her.

"There are multiple checkpoints on the course designated for a vehicles weapons. The primary weapon can be constantly fired but the secondary a d special weapons need to be earned. There usually two light towers" he said as he drove through two blue light towers. “We got rockets” he said “let's play some offense.” Speedy then turned around and threw the car in reverse. As he drove backwards he saw a red supercar coming towards them with bullets flying past them.

“Shit. It's Crimson Fury. I know that Ferrari Enzo anywhere.” Twilight looked and saw the car herself, it was red with armored windows and equipped with machine guns on the front fenders. Crimson Fury was one of the fastest drivers in the tournament just like Speedy, but lacked a good amount of armor. Speedy looked at the dashboard and flipped up a toggle switch. “on my mark hit that button.” Speedy told Twilight pointing to the blue button. He waited till the car was close to them and then waved a hoof to Twilight. “Hit it! Hit it now!” He shouted to her. She pressed it and saw two rockets fire from the roof of the car, which hit Crismon Fury dead on causing the car to explode and smash into a nearby building.

The radio activated again with the DJ talking “And Racer takes the first kill with Crimson Fury meeting a fiery demise.” Twilight smirked at the name Speedy called himself, “Racer?” Twilight said to Speedy. “My family was into racing a lot. Plus you didn't see the seventy one on the side of the car?” he said groaning as he saw her laughing. Suddenly the car was hit from the rear and they both spun into a wall. “And Sweet Treat just ass hoofed Racer’s car” the DJ said through the radio. Speedy looked out and saw Sweet Treat drive away laughing.

“Shit! Come on!” Speedy said trying to restart the stalled car. Twilight then saw a white sports car stop next to them. “Uh…..Speedy?” Twilight said worried. Speedy turned to see the car as well “damnit. It's Kamikaze.” The car was a white Audi R8 with a flag painted on half the car and mini guns on the doors. Kamikaze, like Crimson Fury, was also one of the fastest drivers and also lacked good enough armor. Speedy started trying harder to start the car as the Audi slowly drove closer to them. But just as Kamikaze’s mini guns started spinning a loud horn was heard as her car was hit by a fast moving semi truck. The two see it was a black Peterbilt 630 semi truck with guns on the hood and a turrent on the top.

Twilight caught a glimpse of the truck driver just as Speedy got the car running. They both took off down the road as a motorcycle flew over them. The bike was a Harley Davidson Shorttail with a paint job resembling the wonderbolts livery. The rider was wearing what looked like a old Wonderbolts suit, leather pants, and a pony skull helmet topped with a mix of purple and rainbow hair. “Well well…..Ms. Grimm joins the party.” Speedy said.

Ms.Grimm took no time and started to fire her sawnoff shotgun at Speedys car. Speedy kept control of the car as the shots dotted the side and hood of the car. Ms. Grimm was in fact tue weakest driver of them all due to her lack of armor but made up for it with powerful weaponry.

But just as she was aiming her shotgun at them the horn for the round ending blared. The radio then started again “Well that round was successful” the DJ said “We had some impressive kills from competitors like Racer and Sweet Treat. And some impressive driving from Ms. Grimm and a BRUTAL kill from Dollface. The eight competitors will now travel down south to Las Pegasus for round two. Until then, this is DJ Pon3 and keep listening for more tournament news.”

As the radio went static and the pair drove out of the city, Twilight started thinking again about the driver of that truck. She knew she saw that look before: a red and black suit with shoulder pads. “I think I know the driver of that truck” Twilight said as they got back on the highway to Las Pegasus.

Well now. I get this chapter is a little shorter but there is still a few more rounds to compete in. But now we see a new pony enter Twilights head as she wonders 'who was the mare driving that semi truck'.
