The hunt for love
The Adventure Pt. 1
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Your going to WHAT?!?" "Like I said Twilight, I'm going to save Applejack." "Shouldn't we tell Celestia?" "If you want to, but I'll be long gone before she gets it." I walked towards the bookshelves and looked for the map section. "Twilight, where is the map leading to the bad lands?" "Should be all the way on the left on the middle shelf, but why are you going to do this with no help from Celestia?" "Because she would send an army and I don't want other ponies to get hurt. I'm going alone." I walked to the front door and opened it. "And nothing is going to stop me." I walked out the door and closed it with the map in my hand.
I quickly ran to the farm and went into my room. 'Might as well pack everything that looks usefull' I grabbed my M16 and my sniper rifle and attached them to my back making a X shape. Then I grabbed my binoculars, my ammunition, and my pocket knife and put them in the bag, then put the bag on my back, over my weapons. 'Looks like I'm ready for an adventure' I chuckle as I begin to walk out the front door, only to be stopped by Applebloom. "Where you going Brian?" "Um . . . I'm going . . . on a adventure." I don't want her to find out about Applejack. "Ohhh . . . Can I come? I can get my cuttie mark in adventuring. CUTTIE MARK CRUSSADER ADVENTURER!" I had to rub my ears from the sudden outburst from Applebloom and shook my head. "No, you can't come." "Awwww, why not?" "Because its going to take a while." I stepped over Applebloom and began to walk away, only to be grabbed by the leg. I looked at my leg to find Applebloom holding onto it. "Let me come with you." "No, its to dangerous" I grabbed her hooves and pulled them of my leg then ran away to get away as fast as I could.
When I couldn't see Applebloom anymore, I pulled out the map and observed it. "Sigh, looks like I'm going to have to go through the everfree forest to get to her." I folded the map and put it in my pocket for safe keeping then walked into the forest.
I walked down the path as I kept looking around, observing my area. 'Not a bad place to hunt, if they had deer that is.' I looked forward to find that the path had been grown over and I couldn't see it anymore. 'Great, now I'm going to have to go through the hard way.' I pushed through some brush and was met with a sleeping Timberwolf. 'Curse my freaking luck' I slowly backed away, trying not to make a sound to wake it, only to step on a twig. I stood still and watched the tinderwolf, to see if I had awoken it, only to find it slowly yawn and look directly at me. I stared at it and waited, waited to see if it would attack, but found none. I slowly stood straight and got a questionable look. 'Why didn't it attack?' I looked around to see if I could find a clue, but when I found none I just shruged and smiled. 'Cool, a friendly Timberwolf.' I walked away from the brush and looked towards the forest. 'Time to get through all this shit' I sighed and started to push vines out of my way as I went further into the forest.
15 MINUTES LATER
"FUCK MY LIFE!" I said as I slid down a hill running through vines with a manticore chasing me. 'I knew I shouldn't have gone in that cave!' I kept running as the forest continued to get thicker. "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE YOU OVERGROWN CAT!" I jumped over a log and quickly got behind it. 'It ends here!' I pulled out my m16 and waited for the manticore to jump over, but it never happened. "What the hell?" I slowly looked over the log to find the manticore sitting there, giving me an angry glare. I looked around, trying to see what caused it to stop, only to find an old temple behind me. "How the fuck did I not see this!" I looked at the manticore again and quickly flipped it off while I began to walk to the temple. "Now this turned into a real adventure." I walked to the entrance of the temple and stared at it in awe. 'How could you not see this! Its bigger than the tree's!' I looked around for an explanation, when I didn't find one, i simply shrugged and put it on the list of "Its fucking magic". I walked inside a hallway that was dark. "I can't see a freaking thing." I began to wave my hands in front of me to not run into a wall only to hit something that made a creaking noise as it moved. "What the?" I grabbed it and started to twist it a little and watched as the whole room lit up. I rubbed my eyes from the sudden light and looked at the object to find it was a mirror. "Cool." I looked down the path to find a skeleton being held on a wall by arrows. "Hmm . . ." I crouched down and looked at the ground, along with tracing my finger across it. "Has to be a booby trap." My hand suddenly hit a small wire and I watched as another arrow hit the skeleton. I pulled out my knife and cut the wire and watched as it quickly slid away. I stood up and wiped my hands together to get the dust off. "There we go. One trap down, probably more to go." I continued to walk past the skeleton and found another room. I looked in the center to find a dial. I slowly walked up to it and looked at it. It had weird writing on it. I put my hand on my chin to think only to go back to the skeleton. I slowly walked back to it and searched the bag underneath it. "Come on, there has to be a translator here somewhere." My hand touched a scroll and I pulled it out. "Sweet." I slowly walked back to the dial then unrolled the scroll. "So this dial should just be a puzzle. Lets see." I grabbed the outer part of the dial and twisted it to the left. I looked at the scroll then moved the inner piece of the dial and twisted it right, then stepped back to read it. "Hmm . . . Earth . . . Pegasus . . . and Unicorn. Wow, really, it was just three freaking words pointing in different directions." At that moment a piece of the wall fell down and revealed another hallway. "Great, another hallway." I quickly walked into it and walked into a room with a single beam of light coming in through the ceiling. I looked around to find steps leading up to the light. I quickly walked up the steps and stared in fake amazement at what I found. "How ironic, its just a red sword stabbed into a stone and some weird egg looking thing next to it." I walked to the sword. "Might as well take it, it might help me get through the vines in my way." I grabbed the handle and pulled on it. "Dang, whoever put this in the rock got it stuck in there, but I just might be able to get it out." I grabbed the handle with both of my hands and pulled, only to fall backwards when the sword came out. "Cool, now I have a red sword." I looked around the rock to see if I could find something, only to find a sheath for the supposed sword. "Cool." I took off my backpack and my guns then put the sheath on my back with the sword, then put the guns back on with the backpack. I looked back at the egg thing then to my backpack. "Meh, might as well bring it." I grabbed the egg and put it in my backpack then looked around. "Looks like there's nothing else. Might as well go back the way I came-." At that moment the door caved in and the whole place started to shake. "STUPID BOOBY TRAPS!" I quickly looked around for and exit. "Come on, Come on, Come on, WHERE ARE YOU YOU STUPID EXIT!" I screamed while looking upwards only to find the whole the light was coming through. With a sigh I looked around and found some vines on the wall and started to climb. When I reached the roof, the floor gave in and went downwards into a deep pit. I let my legs dangle down while I Slowly swung vine to vine to the hole. I grabbed the edge of it and pulled myself out. "Phew, finally out of there." I looked around again and then pulled out my map and looked at it. "God, Celestia, whoever, I hope I'm going the right way." With that I folded the map and continued through the woods.
