Gateway – 7:43pm

Alex walks over to a large house, wearing his Vest and Tie along with the regular jeans.

He looks at his watch and then he knocks on the door, holding his Guitar case in his right hand. The door opens and a Man with Long Black and small Greyish Hair that was in a ponytail, he had a small beard and a visible scar over his right eye, he was wearing a Button-Up Shirt with a Tie and Suspenders.

“Hey Alex!”

His voice was somewhat deep, but there was a British Accent as well, the two then hug and pat each other on the back.

“How’s it going?” He asks.

“I’m great…how about you, Chris?”

“I’m doing good, won’t you come in?” Chris asks.

“Yeah, sure.”

Alex enters Chris’ house, he looks and see two other people in the house, Both had the ears and tail of a Fox, they looked completely human however, besides the ears and tails. One was a female adult who had brown hair and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. The other was a young girl who also had brown hair and was wearing a purple hoodie and green shorts.

“Uncle Alex!” The little fox-girl ran over to Alex and hugged him.

“Hey Kiddo…how’s my little fox?”

“I’m doing great now that you’re here.” She says as she lets go of Alex.

“Hi Alex.” The adult Fox-Girl walks over to Alex and hugs him.

“Hey Caroline.” Alex says as he returns the hug.

“You doing okay?” She asks.

“Yeah, I’m fine…why?” Alex asks.

“It’s just…yesterday was Karen’s Birthday.” Caroline says.

“I know…me and all the other Lycans mourned and wished for her last night.” Alex said.

“Yeah…but you two were more than just fellow Guardians.” Caroline says.

“It wasn’t going anywhere…don’t worry about it.” Alex says as he sighs.

“Karen wouldn’t want you being all down and frowny Uncle Alex.” The little fox girl says.

Alex laughs and crouches down to hug the child again.

“It’s good to know you remember her as well Emily.” Alex says, as he spoke her name.

“We all do.” Chris says

Alex stands up and smiles, “Thank you all.”

“No problem…it’s what friends are for.” Chris says.

“So…is anyone else showing up?” Alex asks.

“Yeah, Sam should be here any second…he said he was investigating something or whatever.” Chris says.

Just then the door opens to a specific dark figure in a long black trench coat, his skin was Snow-White and his eyes glowed Red, two of his teeth were pointing out of his mouth, they were small but sharp. He wore gloves that reached to his elbows and boots that reached to his Knees, he had a large scarf around his neck which looked like it could hide his mouth and nose, everything he wore was dark, it was scary but…it seemed…beautiful at the same time.

“Well speak of the devil…or shadow.” Chris says.

The dark figure laughs as he closes the door behind him as he walks in.

“You got that right.” The shadow says, in a deep and somewhat fearful voice…but not as fearful as Alex in his Lycan form.

“Sam, how’s it going?” Alex says as he hugs him.

“Not much, how ‘bout you?” Sam replies.

“Not much either.”

The two laugh as they walk over to the couch.

“So…what was it you were investigating?” Chris asks.

“This.”

Sam reaches into his coat and pulls out a Medium to Large-Sized Jewel, It was in the shape of a blue chest which had six locks.

“Whoa…that doesn’t look like a Gateway Artifact.” Chris says.

“Yep, I literally researched anything about it…I found nothing.”

“Wow, I wonder what’s in it.” Alex says.

Chris then picks the chest up.

“Hmm…maybe some spells will do the trick?” Chris says.

“Wait a sec…aren’t you the one that’s always cautious and such?” Sam asks.

“Yes…but I’m pretty sure there is no harm in a small blue chest.” Chris says.

“Okay then…Alex take it real quick.” Sam says.

“And…why me?” Alex says as he takes it.

“Because if it’s something deadly, you can survive it since you’re a Lycan.” Sam says.

“I hate you Sam.” Alex says with a smirk.

“I hate you too buddy.” Sam says with a smile.

Chris then waves his hand around and snaps his fingers at the chest, the locks then open.

“Wow…that actually worked.” Caroline says.

“What’s in it?” Sam ask

“Gee, I dunno…lemme open it first.” Alex says as he chuckles.

Sam laughs again at the remark, Alex slowly opens the chest to see a bright light emitting from it.

“Whoa…this is interesting.”

Alex then puts one hand in the bright light then his whole vision goes white.

Alex gasps as he opens his eyes.

He looks around to see he’s in Fluttershy’s bedroom…In his Lycan form…and Fluttershy was cuddling him.

“It was just a dream…or Flashback…or whatever.”

Alex then looks out the window to see it was still dark.

“Celestia hasn’t raised the sun yet.”

He looks at Fluttershy to see she wasn’t cuddling him, instead she was sound asleep with a smile. Alex then slowly moves himself off of her, while trying to make sure he doesn’t wake Fluttershy, he successfully does and then walks over to the door. As he approaches the door, he sees that he was taller than the door frame.

Always forget how big I am as a Lycan.

Alex slowly opens the door as he crouches to exit Fluttershy’s room and enter the guest room, he looks to see, he did only have one pair of clothing, the Vest and Tie. The Jeans he was fine with wearing again, however there weren’t any boxers

Where did they--oh yeah I had those on when I last Transformed.

He looks out the window again to see it was still dark.

“Ah, why not?”

Alex grabs the Jeans and walks downstairs, he places the Jeans on a Table that was near a Kitchen, then he walks outside to look at the moon.

Been a while.

He looks at the open field in front of Fluttershy’s cottage as well as the forest.

“Might as well go on a run.” Alex says.

Alex gets on all fours and then sprints around the field, as well as leaping and such, he then goes into the forest, seeing all the trees around, he decides to put his strength to the test. He slashes his claws at some trees, leaving some huge carved scratches in them. He also bites on some of them, taking out large chunks of them.

“Damn…it feels good to be a Lycan.”

Alex then climbs one of the trees and reaches the top to see the moon once again. He looks at it with grace and worship, then…he howls. Loud enough for the whole forest to hear, loud enough for Ponyville to Hear, loud enough for even Canterlot.

“The Guardian Lycan is here to stay.” Alex says as he smiles in an evil-ish way.

Alex reaches Fluttershy’s Cottage and he enters.

The moon then started to go down and the sun rose, right when that happened, Alex turned back into his normal self. He grabs his pants and puts them on, however he stays shirtless. He then walks into the Kitchen and looks around for something.

“I wonder…”

Alex looks through the cabinets and shelves and finds the Tea Pouches, “Yes! They do exist here.” Alex grabs a kettle and fills it with water and then he puts it on the stove.

He then looks to his right to see a little furry creature, it was a bunny, however…he looked mad…it was stomping its foot and crossing its arms.

“Uh...hi?” Alex says with confusion

The bunny was still looking at him with suspicions.

“Wait a minute…aren’t you Angel?” Alex asks.

The bunny nods but still had an angry look.

“Okay look, whatever you think happened…didn’t…I saved her…If I didn’t, I don’t think I’d be staying here.”

The bunny tilts its head thinking he’s right, however he then put two of his fingers to Alex and to his own eyes basically wording ‘I’m watching you’ then bounces away.

“It’s good to know Fluttershy has animals that care about her.”

Later on a yawn is heard upstairs.

“Oh…she must be awake.” Alex says.

That was then the kettle started whistling.

“Oh perfect!”

Alex then pours two cups and adds the teabags and all the other essentials, the front door then creaks open.

“Oh Fluttershy! I’m home from my Vacation.”

Alex looks at the door with a suspicious stare, then a tall…hybrid creature walks in wearing a Hawaiian Shirt, Shorts, a Suitcase, and sunglasses. He head Scales, fur, different arms and legs.

“What the hell?”

The creature then looks to see Alex.

“Oh my…I didn’t know Fluttershy got a new animal.”

“Excuse me?” Alex says.

“Oh, I apologize…I didn’t mean for rudeness.”

“Who the hell are you?” Alex asks with interrogation in his voice.

“Excuse my rudeness…Fluttershy told me to be better than that, I’m Discord…the Lord of Chaos.” He says.

Alex’s eyes widen after hearing those words. he looks at his left hand which held the mark of the Guardian and it started to glow, the mark looked like a Blackstar with a Five Claw Scratch over it. He grabs a Kitchen Knife and he throws it at Discord.

“Whoa, whoa…what’s the problem here?” Discord says putting his claws up.

“I’ve seen a Chaos Lord before…he tried to fuck with my mind, I almost killed my friends because of him.” Alex jumps on the table and leaps to Discord. Discord then wiggles his body around to avoid the oncoming attack, Alex then turns around to see Discord laughing a little. His hand then glows again and he grabs Discord’s arm.

“Huh?”

Alex pulls Discord down and he grabs him by his Goatee.

“Agh! How are you hurting me? No mortal can just straight up pull on my Goatee and give me pain from it.”

“I’m not a mortal…I’m a Guardian and I protect worlds from scum like you.”

“Alex!”

Discord and Alex look to see Fluttershy there…pissed off.

“Fluttershy, get back!”

“Alex! Get let go of him.”

“What? Why would I do that?!” Alex asks.

“Discord is my friend and I promise you he hasn’t laid a claw on me! I reformed him!” Fluttershy says.

Alex looks at Discord and he has a begging face with tearing eyes, he then sighs and let’s go of Discord’s Goatee.

“I apologize Fluttershy.” Alex says as he puts his head down.

“It’s alright, but why did you attack Discord?” Fluttershy says.

“As soon as he said Lord of Chaos…I flipped.”

“Why? I don’t recall ever meeting you.” Discord said.

“Back in Gateway…a being known as a Chaos Lord…there are many of them, one known as The Unknown…took all my rage, sorrow, and fear…and used it against me…used it to control me…It was easy for him because he striked when I was at my weakest time.”

“Weakest time?” Discord asks.

“I…I’d rather not talk about it.” Alex said.

“Oh…okay.” Fluttershy says.

“Do these Chaos Lords look like me?” Discord asks.

“Not really…they’re usually tall and hooded…however Unknown had a face like yours…but with black scales and red burning eyes that could give even a Guardian fear.”

“Oh my.”

Discord was in shock when he heard that, Alex looks down then he looks up with a sudden smile.

“Anyway, enough about that I made tea! There should be enough for the both of you.” Alex says as he walks in the Kitchen.

Discord and Fluttershy look at each other with worry.

“Um…Alex, are you alright?” Fluttershy asks.

“Yeah, why wouldn’t I?” Alex says as he looks at her while pouring the Tea.

“Well…you were just sad…and suddenly…you’re happy?” Discord asks.

Alex puts down the kettle.

“I’m just trying not to think about it right now…it was in the past.”

Fluttershy walks over to Alex.

“Discord, give us some time please.” Fluttershy says

Discord respectfully exits the cottage.

Fluttershy puts a hand to Alex’s chest, “You can’t just bury your feelings and past.”

“Why shouldn’t I? It works for me.” Alex says as he looks at her.

“No, it doesn’t…and I should know.”

“What makes you think it doesn’t work?” Alex asks.

“You just told me you were taken control when you were weak…you’re still weak…aren’t you?”

“No…I’m not.” Alex says as he looks away.

“Don’t lie to me.”

Alex looks at her with some small surprise.

“You can’t just drown your demons…they might know how to swim.” Fluttershy says as she looks into his eyes.

“What?”

“You need to face them…give into your emotions…and let them out.”

Alex looks at her as she looked serious and worried, “You don’t need to worry about me…I can take care of myself.” Alex drinks his tea and he goes upstairs.

“Oh Alex.”

Discord walks back into the house with guilt and his head down.

“Don’t worry Discord, you didn’t do anything.”

“I know…but…I did that to you and your friends…I took control and turned you ponies into something you’re not.”

“Yes…but you forgave yourself and promised to never do it again…so you and I can stay friends.” Fluttershy says.

Alex was lying on the bed in the guest room Fluttershy was letting him stay in. He was staring at the ceiling as he saw a girl.

She had Aqua hair and Blue eyes like Alex, she was wearing a grey tank top compared to her pale skin…and on her left arm was the mark of a Guardian Lycan.

“Karen…what do I do?”

“Alex, stay back! I got him!”

“Karen, no!”

“AGH!”

“Karen!”

Alex opens his eyes and he then smashes the lamp that was on the table next to him.

“God Dammit!”

Fluttershy then walked in without knocking as she usually would.

“Alex!”

He looks up and sees Fluttershy with her hands over her mouth.

“Fluttershy…I’m sorry…I--“

Alex then gets up and runs out of Fluttershy’s House.

“Alex, come back!”

She looks down at the shattered Lamp on the floor, it then floats and puts itself back together.

“Huh?”

Fluttershy looks behind her to see Discord.

“I’m worried about him.” She says.

“You didn’t think you would hear this from me…but I am too…he seems like a good um…”

“Person.”

“Person…yeah.”

Fluttershy then hugs Discord as he puts an arm around her.

BEFORE YOU ASK! No...Fluttershy and Discord are not in a relationship and Discord does not have a crush on her...They're just close friends...a friend she can really trust basically.

Also, sorry if this took longer than usual, last week was really busy for me at School...end of quarter shit.
BUT I'd rather take my time than rush to get the next chapter out.

Anyhoo what do I say about this chapter?
