The Guardian Lycan

Ponyville

Alex was walking through Ponyville with his head down.

“Why the hell did I do that?” He says to himself.

Alex had his Jeans, Socks, and Shoes on…but he was shirtless, “Just…dammit.”

He looks up and sees Karen again. her blue hair was flowing as her green eyes shined at Alex, “I miss you…so much." He walks through her as if she wasn’t there. Tears then start to fall from his eyes, he then gets on his knee hoping his pain can be healed.

“Alex?”

Alex looks up and looks left and right.

“Who…who’s there?”

He then looks over to his very left to see Rarity with her hands on her knees wearing a button-up shirt and a skirt, “Come here.” Rarity puts her arms out.

Alex then stands up and hugs Rarity as he was still crying, “I’m such an idiot.”

“Alex, darling…don’t say that about yourself…here come inside.”

The two break the hug and they enter a decorated Boutique. Rarity leads Alex into the Kitchen where there was Breakfast made.

“Here, sit down…I’ve made some breakfast for me and Sweetie Belle, there should be enough for you.”

“Sweetie Belle?” Alex asks.

“You called me sis?”

Alex and Rarity look over to the entrance of the Kitchen to see a young girl with white fur who also was a Unicorn. She had Light Purple and Pink Hair that had some curls along with a White Blouse.

“No, I only mentioned your name to Alex here.”

Sweetie Belle looks to see Alex and her eyes immediately lit up.

“Hey.” Alex says as he waves.

“H-hi.” Sweetie Belles says with her voice stuttering.

“So…you’re Sweetie Belle? Rarity mentioned she had a Sister…but not a sweet-looking one such as yourself.” Alex says as he smiles.

Sweetie’s heart melted after hearing that.

He called me sweet!

“Alright, Sweetie…get dressed for school…I need to talk with Alex for a bit.”

“Okay.” Sweetie heads back to her room.

Rarity walks over to Alex with her hands on his chin making him look at her.

“What happened?”

“I…I had a small outburst at Fluttershy’s…I didn’t hurt her before you ask…I broke a lamp and almost attacked Discord.”

“Oh…but why?”

“Discord mentioned himself as the Lord of Chaos…back in Gateway…there were these Beings Called ‘Chaos Lords’ one used my emotions, fear, and rage to take control of me. I almost hurt my friends…because of that…I thought Discord was there for me specifically and to hurt Fluttershy.” Alex said as he looked away.

“There’s another reason isn't there?” Rarity asks.

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“There’s another reason you left that house because it wasn’t just because you almost hurt Discord is it?”

Alex starts to tear up again, “Fluttershy deeply reminds me of someone.” Alex says.

“Someone? Was she special to you?” Rarity asks.

“Yes…she was.” Alex says.

“Tell me about her.”

Alex looks at her and sighs, “Her name was Karen…she was a Guardian Lycan as well…she also helped me when I first became a Guardian. She helped me…and I helped her…she had her own struggles, I gave her advice and such…on top of that…me and her would sing together…It was an extreme passion of ours.”

Rarity listened to him closely.

“We fell in love…it was true and pure. I promised to protect her and she would protect me.”

“Did…something happen to her?”

Alex then started tear up again.

“One of our fellow Guardian Lycans turned on us…his name was Split...after his sister was killed. He wouldn’t calm down then he attacked us…later he killed innocents of Gateway and Humans.”

“Oh my stars…”

“Karen went to go face him herself and later I caught them in a brawl.”

Alex was sprinting through the forest as a Human looking for Karen.

Rain was falling and thunder was booming in the forest.

“Karen!”

Later he sees Karen and Split having a bloody battle.

“Karen, what the hell are you doing?!”

“Alex, stay back! I got him!”

Karen and Split exchange claws at each other, she then manages to claw his eye real bad.

“AGH! You bitch!”

Alex then attempts to intervene the two of them, Split looks to see Alex and he slashes at his head.

“Ah! Fuck!”

Karen then jumps on Split pinning him to the ground, she chomps on Split’s neck, letting blood fall.

“You lapdog for this fucking order…Humans and Non-Humans should fall under the order of the Lycans.”

“You forgot what it means to be a Guardian Lycan split!” Karen says

Karen then puts his claws up ready to kill him.

“Karen, no!”

Karen then looks over at Alex with concern...then Split then impales his arm and claws through Karen’s Heart.

“AGH!”

“Karen!”

Split takes his arm out and lets Karen fall to the ground.

“I didn’t forget…I threw it away.”

Split then sprints away, Alex more worried about Karen run over to her. She was back in her Human form but had a big gash in her torso.

“Karen…”

Karen looks over to Alex who was crouched over her, “Hey…” Alex puts his hand on her cheek.

“It’s bad isn’t it?” Karen asks.

“Just don’t look…it is.” Alex says

The Rain dropped on both of them…washing some of Karen’s Blood.

“Shit…well this wasn’t how I expected that to go down.” Karen chuckles after saying that.

Alex laughs a little as well but goes back to worrying, “You’re…you’re gonna be okay…please.”

Karen then puts her hand on his cheek, “No.”

“Please, don’t.”

“Only Guardians can be killed by another Guardian…these wounds are real and they hurt like hell.”

Karen groans after her sentence and puts a hand to it.

“Please…I don’t want to be alone…again.”

Karen then uses her strength to sit up, she then kisses him.

“Get that bastard…don’t…don’t let him…hurt…anyone…else.” Karen says.

Karen’s eyes start to close, her movement becomes more limited.

“If you love me…let me die.”

Her eyes then close slowly as she stops breathing and moving.

“Karen?”

No response came from her.

“Karen?”

Alex looks at her face to face.

“Karen!”

Tears start to fall from Alex’s eyes as he puts his head on her chest, “Don’t leave me please.” His hands were touching her bloody hands that lied on the wound.

“I love you.” Alex says.

Rarity’s eyes teared up with sadness.

“Oh Alex…I’m so sorry.” Rarity says

“Please…you didn’t do anything.” Alex says

“Did I?”

Alex and Rarity look back at the Kitchen Entrance to see Fluttershy standing there, Alex runs over to her and hugs her as Fluttershy returns the hug as well.

“Fluttershy…I…I’m so sorry…you didn’t do anything wrong…not a single thing at all. I would never want to hurt you, I would rather die than hurt you.” Alex says as he was crying, and sounds could be heard from him as well.

“I am afraid that something will happen to you…to all of you. I care about you guys…you’ve shown me nothing but love, respect, and friendship.” Alex says.

“Alex…”

He looks at Fluttershy face-to-face after hearing his name.

“After you saved me from the Timberwolves and you supported me right from where I had nightmares…I trusted you,” Alex looks down after hearing 'Trusted', “I still do.”

Alex looks up as she smiles and starts to tear up a bit.

“I’m glad you told us what happened…even though I eavesdropped.” Fluttershy says

“It’s okay.” Alex says.

“I think Karen wants you to move on and be happy.” Rarity then says.

“Yeah…I guess so.” Alex says as he smiles.

“By the way…um…you left this.” Fluttershy holds up his Vest, Tie, and Button Shirt along with his Guitar Case.

“I didn’t want to wear it because I’d rather not wearing something two days in a row.”

“What? Did you not have other clothing when you came here?” Rarity asks.

“Nope.”

Rarity gasps and drags Alex up the stair.

“Oh poor you! You need some new clothes…I’ll take care of that!” Rarity says.

“Um…Fluttershy! I’ll see you in a bit!” Alex says as he was being shoved upstairs.

Alex was standing on a small stage where Rarity was taking measurements of his structure.

“Ooh…by the way, yes…you have a beautiful build and structure.” Rarity says as she giggles.

“Thanks.” Alex says as he laughs

“Oh it’s great that you’re smiling and laughing again…no more depressing Alex, alright?” Rarity says as she whiffs a finger in his face like he was a dog or wolf.

(Oh wait.)

“So what do you usually wear besides your nice vest and tie?” Rarity asks.

“I would usually wear a nice white shirt, a black hoodie, and at some points in time….a black Fedora.” Alex says.

“Really? You wear Fedoras?” Rarity asks.

“Sometimes yeah…why?”

Rarity was picturing him wearing a Fedora with his Long Black Hair, “Oh nothing…so that’s all you would wear?” Rarity asks.

“At some points when I’m doing some serious traveling I wear a Long Trench Coat that reaches to my knees along with the vest and tie.” Alex says.

Rarity writes all this down.

“So why are you asking me this?” Alex says.

“It’s so I can make them for you.” Rarity says.

“What? All that?” Alex says.

“Nothing is ever too hard for me.” Rarity says.

“Oh…um…then…can you make a few other things then?” Alex asks.

“What do you need?” Rarity says.

“Well since I came in here in these only clothes…when I transformed…I lost my boxers...undergarments, and I don’t have any spare ones and other stuff like that.” Alex says.

“Oh! Well…don’t worry darling…I have got you covered.” Alex says.

“Do I need to pay you or anything?” Alex asks.

“Well…normally yes…but for you…I’ll do it for free.”

“Oh…that’s great--“

“If…you play me a song for me.” Rarity says.

Alex then laughs after hearing that, “No problem…it’ll probably get stuff off my mind.” Alex says, he walks out of the room and downstairs back to Fluttershy.

“Hey Flutters…did you bring my Guitar as well?” Alex asks.

“Why yes…I did.” Fluttershy answers.

“Great! Here come up…I’m gonna play another song.” Alex says.

“Okay.” Fluttershy says as she smiles, the two go back up where Rarity was already getting to work.

“Does…anyone have any requests?” Alex says as he sits down on the edge of the stage getting his Guitar out.

“Um…”

“Actually…never mind…my music might be something you don’t recognize.” Alex says.

“Um…was there ever a song you and Karen sang together?” Fluttershy asks.

“Actually…yeah…surprisingly her last words were from one of our songs.” Alex says.

Alex then tunes his Guitar and starts playing a melody.

Rarity and Fluttershy had small tears flowing from their eyes, hey immediately wipe their eyes.

“That was beautiful…as always.” Rarity says

Fluttershy doesn’t say anything but hug Alex.

“Aw…it’s okay Fluttershy.” Alex says as he hugs her back.

“So…It’s gonna take me a while to finish…why don’t you tell us more about your world?” Rarity asks.

“Gladly.”
