A strange set of recent events has left Equestria in turmoil.

One day, a rift from a different universe opened, and from it came a race of creatures that the ponies could never even hope to defeat in open conflict.

Their only hope now lies in their newest princess who has been sent to negotiate with these stone giants, and just as she does so, the ponies of Equestria await her return with trembling hooves, for should she fail to make peace between the two races, then Equestria is sure to fall...

But unknown to all but a select few ponies, another creature arrived to Equestria through a rift, long before the stone giants... A creature whose looks alone could induce nightmares to most ponies.

Oddly enough, the creature made no contact with anyone from Equestria and simply chose to isolate itself from them...

Although the ponies had hoped to leave this creature undisturbed for all eternity, it seems now that this very same creature might also be their only hope of salvation...

But even if this creature were to postpone sinking its teeth into them long enough to hear them out and possibly even consider making some sort of pact with them, what could ponykind possibly have to offer to such a creature in return for its help in saving their world?

Additional info about the genre of the story: This story is a real mishmash of genres without any real dominating one. Expect just about a little bit of everything except Romance. There will be times when the dark and comedy tags will become noticeable, but they are essentially minor tags and don't dominate in the story.
