THE LIGHT YOU BRING WILL DIE! THE LIGHT INSIDE YOU WILL DIE! ALL THAT YOU ARE WILL DIE!

I opened my eyes to a room filled with darkness a dark voice vibrating around my head. The only light in the room was a torch which was being held next to me by a wizened old man.

'Its Walter, but...he's dead, I'm having the nightmares again.'

"Who's there...show yourself !" Walter shouted into the darkness whilst waving the torch around.

In response to Walter, thousands of glowing eyes appeared, staring into our very souls.

"Oh... This isn't good," Walter said fearfully

A dark giggle could be heard as the eyes stalked closer to us "The children are here to play"

The shadows then charged towards us whispering the words "play ! play ! play !" as they attempted to kill us.

"What are they ?" Exclaimed Walter whilst unsheathing his sword.

I ignored him and quickly rolled a safe distance away whilst Walter rushed in. I started to charge a weaved fire and vortex spell whilst Walter distracted them.

"KILL ! KILL !" The dark voice shouted, its vile voice echoing around the room.

WaIter was distracting them pretty well, but a large group of the shadows ignored him and went after me, so I unleashed my spell catching all the shadows in a tornado of fire.

But more shadows came out of the darkness, I fired at them with my pistol and Walter cut down any in his reach. But they just keep on coming.

"There's too many of them " Walter stated with a panicked voice "Keep fighting... we have to keep fighting!"

I brought out my sword and charged right into the approaching shadows. Two was thrown into a wall by a push spell, one got a nice stab, three got shot in the face and one I just picked up by the leg and proceeded to throw around like a ragdoll.

"Do you feel the darkness around you? Do you feel it's torturous path through your mouth and your eyes? until it eats away inside you... Tell me how it feels," The Voice Questioned, its words resonating in our very minds.

I ignored the demon and charged another spell, this time rows of blades sparkling with lighting, burst from the ground surrounding me, they then flew towards the shadows, striking each one and killing them.

The dark whispered to us again "You are tainted. The stain shall never wash out. The sun will never shine upon you again. Tainted...broken...little toys."

After that the shadows stopped coming, we walked on desperate to esca- "Your Majesty"

"AHHHH !" I woke up in shock from the voice and looked around in a panic.

I wasn't in the dark room anymore, I was in what seamed like a throne room with a scarlet carpet leading up to the throne I am currently resting on.

I looked at the person who woke me and he was shaking when my gaze fell upon him. He was a feeble little man wearing an expensive looking outfit.

"I am so very sorry your majesty, but you fell asleep when I was reading todays agenda." The man said with a tinge of fear.

"Its alright Hobson just don't shout at me again, you do remember what happened to the last person who shouted at me?"

[Flashback]

I was in the throne room, in front of me was two people, each wanting something to do with the Silverpines forest, Reaver, CEO of Reaver Industries and a good advisor he always come up with something good whether it be making money or something to spend the money on. he wanted Silverpines to be harvested for it's lumber and the dangerous creatures inside it to be used as weapons of war.

Next to him was a man of the higher class and he wanted Silverpines to be a wildlife reserve, you don't get many nobles who want that nowadays but I know which one I'm going with.

"Silverpines shall be cut down for it's resources and it's creatures tamed !" I announced to everyone.

The crowd that normally appears in my throne room went into an uproar, some were cheering, some got triggered.

"THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS" A rather flamboyant noble shouted at me.

The room went quiet when the noble shouted, I stared at the stuck up aristocrat with a glare that can make hollow men go reeling back to their graves.

'ooooh... you screwed up there my friend' I thought.

Many people fear me for good reason, but they especially fear me for Balverines Dawn, but I'll come to that another time.

"Excuse me" I said menacingly to the noble.

"Well your majesty I must go and make the preparations for the deforestation of Silverpines, Tatty-bye" Reaver said with a smug smile whilst strutting out of the throne room.

The noble stared at me in terror "m-my apologies your majes-".

"Do you know what happens when people shout at their king?" I interrupted him.

The noble slowly nodded his head. I giggled at his fearful face "They get sent to Ravenscar !" I said with a cheerful voice that unnerved everyone.

A clockwork automaton walked up to the noble and picked him up and started walking out of the room.

"NO YOU CAN'T DO THIS UNHAND ME YOU PIECE OF SCRAP DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM !" The noble panicked whilst banging his fists against the robots back.

"Shouting again are we? looks like we need to give you the special treatment." I said with a maniacal gleam in my eyes

[Flashback End]

I smirked at Hobson's frightened face.

"Don't worry Hobson your too helpful to throw away," I told Hobson, reminding him that he was one of the few people I care about.

"It has always to be an honour to serve you, your majesty. Shall we proceed with todays royal agenda ?" Asked Hobson

"Sure, what am I doing today ?" I questioned, Hobson just stared at me annoyed and just gave me the list. 'oh I slept through it'

My eyes widened, 'so that old expedition I funded a few DECADES back has returned, I always wondered what happened to them, NOT it was only 8,000 gold I made that back in a couple of seconds'

"When do they arrive ?" I asked

"In a few hours my king." Hobson informed

'Well time for small talk'

"I heard you were thinking of retiring next month ?" I said

"Yes my lord, I'm not a hero like you, I'm starting to get too old for this job." said Hobson

'Sad he's a good advisor, he is breaking 110 though, so he needs to stop working. At least I have jasper, I bet he gets bored from all that time in the Sanctuary, he's going to run out of books soon'

[Meanwhile in the Sanctuary]

"899,999,997 899,999,998 899,999,999 100,000,000,0" Spoke an old butler sitting in a middle of a literal Mountain of gold.

[Meanwhile on a ship MADE FROM GOLD, who thought that would be a good idea]

A pure white Human/Horse hybrid with ethereal hair that had the colours of blue, green and pink with a tattoo of a sun on her neck, was sitting at a desk writing letter.

"Dear Twilight Sparkle

I am currently a few hours away from the coast of the land know as Albion our dear friend Denise the Explorer has told us so much about, once I get there, Denise, Luna and I will talk to the king and hopefully get him to stand down and allow a woman to take his place or if it doesn't work then I'll have to do it by force, afterwards I will replace him with Denise and hopefully quell any resistance that might appear.

"TIA THOU NEED TO SEE THIS ! " Shouted a dark blue horse/human hybrid who also has ethereal hair but with the colours of the night sky, fittingly she had a tattoo of a moon on her neck.

"Coming Luna !" Celestia shouted back to her sister.

After sending the letter away she left her cabin and walked up to her sister, she was about to ask her what she should see but Luna pointed in the direction of it.

What they were looking at was a massive black ship with a triangular shape that was made from a weird stone material. the ship looked like it can take on most of the ANE fleet and come out unscathed.

It was covered in really big guns and a lot of smaller ones, it made her ship, the ANNC Solar Flare Look like a parasprite.

"SWEET CELESTIA what the tartarus is that thing !" Shouted a random crewmen that no one cares about.

A dark skinned woman walked up to deck facing the behemoth "I knew the Kingdom of Albion was planning to make some big ships, but I didn't know they would be this big." Exclaimed Denise.

"Thou hast been gone for a long time who knows how much Albion hast changed since thou hast left," Luna explained

"I was only gone for 54 years." Denise argued.

"We'll be at their port in a hour so make yourself presentable, we're here to dethrone a king and we want to make them think we're here for peace." Celestia Informed.

Denise ignored her and looked at something in the distance. Celestia followed her eyes only to see a massive storm.

"That storm is unusually large Denise. is that normal?" Celestia asked.

"No, there's something in that storm, look." Denise pointed at the storm.

As soon as she pointed towards it, a part of the storm cleared up to reveal a imposing Spire shaped tower that stood in the ocean, the storm revolving around it. it was made from the same stony material as the black ship.

"Sweet Faust !" I whispered to myself "What is that?"

"That is the tattered spire, a massive conduit of the worlds Will. though I don't remember it being this big" Denise explained

"We'll deal with it after we sort out Albion's government. we are nearly at the port." I shook of the shock of seeing two massive structures bigger then anything the ANE could come up with. the tower itself would be taller then Mount Canterlot, even if half of it was put underground it would still be taller.

When their ship landed there was quite a few guards wearing weird armour there were also a lot of metal golem like creatures. Most of them pointing rifles at them

When she and her sister walked of the ship a man wearing armour with golden highlights and a crown on his head, walked up to them. this was obviously the King.

Celestia and Luna bowed "greetings your majesty" Celestia said

"And what are you exactly, you look like some sort of hybrid" The King said with Hostility

"I am Princess Celestia and this is my sister Princess Luna, we are Alicorn Ponies." Celestia Introduced

The king snorted at the their names "Where is your King or Queen ?" The King asked 'why would the King/Queen bring their princesses are they trying to get them betrothed'.

"We don't have either of those, we rule the country." Luna explained.

"Two princesses ruling a country, that's new, anyway I noticed a lot of your crew were staring at our big beauty over there, what do you think? " The King said as he turned to face the monster of a ship.

"HOW IS THAT THING NOT SINKING AND HOW DO YOU POWER IT" The captain of the Solar Flare shouted taking Celestia and Luna by surprise.

"Old Kingdom machinery, it also uses will as a power source so we don't have to waste copious amounts of oil to run it. it ended up splitting Mistpeak mountain in half when we tested fired it ?"The king said as he looked at the Black ship.

The ponies and a Yak crewmen gulped, all of them hoped the King was lying as they slowly looked at the main gun of the black ship.

"What did you name that thing if you don't mind me asking ?" One of Celestia's guard Steel Wing asked the King.

"We named her the HMS Archon, she is the first off the Archon Class Super Battleship, this will tip the naval war with the ARE in our favour." the King announced.

"Thy nation is at war that must be terrible," Luna said with worry but she let out a small smile, as taking over Albion will be easier.

"I wouldn't call it terrible, it's kind of boring all the battles tend be draws, they have the numbers, we have the technology." The King said with boredom, surprising and scaring some people.

"Boring? do you know how many lives can be lost to war ?" Celestia said in shock.

"Still boring, anyway lets get to the castle shall we, and tell me, how much did Denise tell you about Albion?" The King asked Celestia.

"Oh she told us many things about this land," Celestia said excitedly.

Celestia told the King everything about what Denise told them, people then saw the king say something to one of his guards, people don't know what he said but some people think it had something to do with Denise not appearing later on at the castle.

[At Castle Fairfax the home of the King]

Celestia and Luna were sitting in a dinning room eating tea and biscuits whilst the king went somewhere else.

"Where did the king go ?" Celestia questioned whilst sipping the tea one of the servants made her.

"He's at the throne room milady you will brought there when he is ready." Said a maid carrying a tray of cups and plates to the kitchen.

"The staff here are quite nice aren't they Tia ?" Luna said with a mouthful of biscuits.

"They are, too bad they serve a tyrant !" Celesta said with sad anger.

"That was five decades ago Tia, and from what Denise told us, Albion was threatened by a great evil at the time, desperate times call for desperate measures." Luna reasoned whilst sitting in a blood red chair, in a blood red room, in a blood red castle, yeah defiantly a desperate measure.

"Your right Luna...say, were is Denise ?" Celestia questioned.

"She ended up going to Aurora to meet up with her family." Explained a random guard.

"Hmmm I thought she said her family died ?" Celestia questioned but shrugged off when the guard went into the next room.

[Meanwhile at Ravenscar]

Denise was strapped in a chair with a weird contraption attached to her head, it wasn't very comfortable and there were several needles on a table next to her and the chair was attached to a machine sparkling with electricity.

"Now your going to tells us everything you know about Equestria and its allies, or I'm going to put you through the 'Special Treatment' and you don't want to go through that, oh no, just ask any of the prisoners down there" The prison guard pointed down a hall full of people screaming and laughing insanely.

Denise struggled against her bindings but it was futile, so she looked at the guard and spat at him

"Now, now none of that. oh well don't say I didn't warn you !" The guard said before pulling a lever attached to the machine.

All that could be heard that night were screams that would make a banshee sound like a squeaky door.

The screams got to the point that the local kraken came out of the sea and filed a noise complaint to the Albion Law department. This was later brought to court where the Kraken sued Ravenscar for 65 gold.

who the ARE and the ANE are will be explained in a chapter dedicated to explaining the nations of the world, which I'm already working on.

ANE: Allied Nations of Ergon (MLP nations)
ANNC: Allied Nations Naval Command

ARE: Allied Republic of Ergon (Human nations that are against Albion)

KA: Kingdom of Albion (Albion and its colonies)

The planets name is Ergon because the fable lore doesn't say the name of the planet (there might be a name but I couldn't find one) so I called it Ergon because it sounds like a planet name.
