Foreword: So after looking over my story I have written so far, I have decided it kinda is crap. I'm too lazy to edit it though, so it will forever remain there to haunt me and remind me to put out more quality stuff than whatever the hell I put out before. Also, Constructive criticism and ANY criticism is very welcome. I cannot become a better writer without it, eh?

~Night before Party~

"Uuughh.." Said a zombie-like David as he sat near a table, along with Chris, Luna, and Celestia.

"Why, David, whatever is the problem?" Celestia replied, with no shortage of amusement. There was no question what had caused this, dreary, tuckered out state he found himself in; after all, when one stays up for two days, they tend to not feel as fantastic as one who hadn't.

"Oh, I'm just tired is all, I'm sure I'll -yawn- get my second wind. This tea isn't caffeinated right?" Luna and Celestia were rested upon two lush, red velvet pillows complete with golden tassels, while the two boys sat, or slouched, rather, in chairs that were retrieved from the TARDIS. The sun had just set and Luna's wonderful rock had risen to the sky and was currently gracing the ponies of Equestria in it's ethereal glow.

"No, not to worry. I don't know much about you humans, but if you are anything like ponies, caffeine before sleeping will disrupt your slumber. It does, however, contain chamomile which is a relaxant, and should aid you in sleeping." Replied a amused Luna. Her subjects always attempted to remain alert and respectful when in the presence of her sister and her. Thinking back to when Celestia told her what David said when they arrived, she had to agree with him. It was refreshing to see this form of informality displayed every once and a while. the only time she ever saw it was when Twilight had been studying much too long and had fallen asleep in the middle of a conversation about the stars. Granted, this behavior currently is being exhibited by two aliens, but as they say, 'potato potahto'.

"This is a special brew shipped in from the Zebrican lands. Are you sure you do not want some, Chris?"

"No thanks, I'm good." Chris never was one for tea. He liked his drinks to have sugar and syrup inside. Though there was one coffee shop in David's town that made the most AMAZING milk tea. David on the other hand, always drank tea without any sugar. He always chalked it up to him being part Asian.

"Say, why aren't you drinking tea, Celestia?"

"Oh, well... Tea and I never played well together. I can't stand it, it's just so, so... Bland and disgusting." She replied as she glanced over at Luna who rolled her eyes at the statement.

"You just have bad taste." She replied. Clearly, there was a story here; but alas, perhaps another day.

Celestia decided that now was perhaps a good time to segway into another subject.

"So tell me more about the human civilization! How do these... Cars work?" Said she as she shifted uncomfortably on her cushion.

"Um, Tia, perhaps now would be a good time to stop our discussion. They do need to rest for the banquet tomorrow." As she spoke this, a gentle breeze danced through the room, just chilly enough to arouse David from his daze.

"Yes, I suppose you are right. Why don't-" As she spoke, David fell out of his chair and landed before her, clearly asleep. Chris stifled his laughter and reached for his phone to snap a quick photo.

"Oh my," Celestia placed a hoof in front of her mouth hiding a small smile, "It appears he is quite tuckered out. I suppose a quick teleportation to his bed would be in order." Her horn lit up as she prepared the necessary spell to transport him to his room. But upon casting it, the glow of her magic surrounded him, then simply vanished. This left her as well as Luna a bit shocked, and Celestia attempted once again. Oddly enough, the results were the same.

"Tia, are you feeling ok?" Luna said with a concerned look on her face.

"I feel fine, but for some reason I can't teleport him. You try." At this, Luna's horn lit up with its signature blue glow, which also surrounded David. She experienced the same problem as her sister before her.

"I-I don't understand... Why won't it work?" A look of fear was becoming quite evident upon her face.

"Well, maybe us humans are just resistant to magic?" Chris said as he tried to save face.

"Perhaps you are correct. Would you mind if we test it on you?" Celestia looked expectantly at Chris.

"Uh, sure. Knock yourself out." She repeated her spell and cast it upon Chris. Suddenly, He disappeared and reappeared roughly three meters away.

"WHOA! Wasn't really expecting that..." He said as he fought to regain his balance. It felt to him like being compressed by a garbage truck (Which oddly enough he had experienced) and then being stretched by a black hole (Another experienced he had the joy of witnessing.) The area around him smelt of ozone.

"I thought that wasn't supposed to work... Kinda... I think?" He looked expectantly at both sisters who both had their own looks of astonishment on their faces.

"I don't understand..." Luna said with a puzzled expression upon her brow. "Let me try something."

And with that her horn glowed blue along with Chris as he rose into the air. She experimentally waved him about.

"O-Okay, you can P-put me down now.." Still puzzled, she placed him upon the ground. She then turned to David and attempted to repeat the procedure. Her horn fired up again, but this time, the subject in question didn't budge.

"What in the name of Tartarus..." She muttered. She poured more energy into the simple levitation spell. She continued to pour in more and more power, till her horn was sparking and she gritted her teeth from the strain. Eventually, she managed to lift him about a centimeter off the ground. The spell fizzled out and David dropped to the ground, but the distance was so insubstantial that he didn't even feel it.

"What the hay?" Said Celestia. She, too, attempted the same feat, but was met with the same results.

"It appears," She began, "That David is extremely resistant to magic.. How much does he weigh?" She inquired of Chris.

"Well, uh, About one hundred and fifty I think." She though about that for a moment. The average pony weighed about 50-70 pounds, and she could lift them with ease. In fact, She could lift the sun which weighed MUCH more than One hundred and fifty. "Chris, how much do you weigh?"

"About the same as David..." This really threw her for a loop. 'So,' she pondered, 'Why can we lift Chris with no problem, but David seems to outweigh the sun?'

"Hmm, it appears David's magical weight exceeds that of the moon and sun. This is quite interesting... But also poses a problem." Celestia and Chris looked at Luna questioningly, "What problem?" They asked in snyc.

"How will we get him to bed?"

~The next morning~

"How did I get here?" David looked around the room. He was tucked into the large, plush bed and had no shirt on. This would normally concern him, but weirder things had happened. When one travels with the Doctor long enough, they begin to expect these kind of things. As much as he would love to stay in this bed, he had some work to do. And he was starving, which gave him all the more reason to haul his posterior to the breakfast table and stuff his gob. If dinner last night was any indication to what breakfast was going to look like, then not even a Dalek army would stand in his way. He hopped out of bed and headed towards the bathroom facilities located on the east wall. As he entered he began to actually take in his surroundings.

His father had always pointed out things wherever they went when he was younger. 'Look at the woodwork on this house! Now, the size of the wooden cord that is carved into the trim going around the house was a indicator to how wealthy the family was.' Always pointing out the amazing craftsmanship of others and giving him a deep respect for those who truly love their craft. As he gazed about the room he noticed the real intricacies of the trim and the truly amazing work of the workers who built this room. The perfectly even marble slabs, the amazing scrollwork upon the trim, all these things were not lost upon him. All this wonderment of ponies ingenuity caused him to think of the times he spent creating things with his family, and the gravity of his situation truly hit him. This may have not been the first time he wasn't able to return home, but this time he might not be able to return ever again. Because of these thoughts he dropped into a funk. He hopped in the shower and cleaned himself up and headed to breakfast.

"Good morning David, did you sleep well?" Celestia was sitting in her usual spot, next to Luna. Luna was slightly wary of what might happen this time when David came in, but relaxed when she realized he didn't have a platoon of soldiers dancing behind him.

"Okay." His answer stirred up some concern in the eyes of the sisters.

"David? Are you feeling alright? You sound a bit downtrodden." He sighed and took a seat at the table, helping himself to some strawberries and grabbed three apples. "Yeah, I'm fine. Where's Chris?" He asked as he tossed a few strawberries into his mouth.

"He's still asleep. You don't sound okay, David. Is something the matter?" At this, He let out another sigh through his nose. Finishing his strawberries, he spoke up, "I'm okay. Just thinking about home is all." Celestia and Luna looked at each other. "Um, would you like to talk about it?" Luna asked questioningly. David had never been introverted, he was always extremely extroverted and enjoyed talking and discussing things. When it came to telling his story, he didn't mind. It always felt good to discuss things and see what people thought.

"Well, I guess I could tell you some of my story. It's kind of a whopper, so be prepared to be here a while." He leaned back in his chair and took a bite of an apple. Once he swallowed, he began.

"Well, one day, I was sitting in my room minding my own business. as you may know, people on earth go to school till they're about 18 for a basic education. I was 16 at the time and I was homeschooled, as you already know." The sisters nodded, both leaning in slightly to listen. "I had just finished reading some science, and I decided, 'You know, it's a nice day. I think I'll go for a walk.'"

"So I started walking around the college campus that I lived nearby. There was one area that was nice and secluded. No one really went through this path except to enjoy the walk. At the moment, most people were in classes. It was a nice little concrete path that ran behind the baseball field. Pine trees surrounded it and a brook ran next to it. It was such a nice day, I was listening to music, I can even remember the song. Suddenly, the ground started to shift a bit. Not really shift in a sense of an earthquake, more like the concrete was... liquid." At this point both sisters had stopped eating and were listening intently to his story.

"So I crouched down to inspect, when I noticed a shadow growing behind me. Not the shadow of a human, more akin to that of a swelling wave. As I turned to inspect, I noticed the parking lot the path was attached to had become a giant, writhing mass of swoiling and boiling disharmony. That's when it began to move. It started to advance towards me. I could hear a car honking from the other side of the beast, when suddenly it stopped with a crash. That's when I took off running. It slowly began to give chase, and as I looked down I noticed the concrete I ran upon was churning as well. I hopped onto the grass and continued to run. When I rounded a corner, I noticed another huge wave headed my way. A pine tree had been blocking my way, so I had no time to react. That's when I heard a shout from behind me. 'Hey!' It said. 'Get in!' I turned to see a strange man in a floating blue police box. I would have questioned it, but at the time there were bigger things on my mind. So when I jumped in, I noticed it was bigger on the inside. 'It's bigger on the inside...' I said so intelligently. 'Hold on tight!' He said. He introduced himself as the Doctor. Anyways, long story short, we managed to fight back the monster that was apparently a alien made of living concrete from the future that fell through a rift in time. Later on in our travels I actually found out that we caused that to happen, but that's a story for another day. Anyways, unfortunately, one of my neighbors had seen me go down the path, as well as another witness. So I had two accounts stating that I was dead. But the Doctor asked me if I would like to accompany him to see the universe, with no where else to turn, I said yes."

David took a moment to take a drink to wet his parched throat before continuing.

"But before we left, we went to my house and explained to my family what had happened. At first, they were overjoyed to know I was alive, but then I told them I had to leave. At first my mother wouldn't let me. 'But you have so much to live for!' That's when I explained I was legally dead. After much persuading, I finally left with many tears. I promised to them that I would learn as much as I could and help any and all that I could. I also promised to visit sometimes, but they also had to come to grips that I might never ever come home again. And that's the beginning of my story."
