'I think I'll check on those two'

Celestia made her way towards the guest rooms, intending to inquire about the quality of there slumber from the previous night. The two still hadn't had the chance to meet Luna, so she wanted to invite them to breakfast. She went to Chris' room first.

"Chris? Are you in there?"

A bedheaded mass of morning gloom opened the door.

"Yah? Hello- Oh! your highness! I'm so-sorry I didn-"

"It's fine, and please, call me Celestia. How did you sleep?"

Chris scratched the back of his head and sighed. "Not too well actually. Don't get me wrong, the beds are great. But David's been making a racket all night long."

Celestia seemed surprised at this. 'What could he be doing?' She pondered as she turned to leave. "Well, hopefully he'll be a bit quieter tonight. Why don't you head down to breakfast while I check on him?"

Chris nodded and lumbered off in the general direction of the dining hall, while Celestia turned towards Davids door. She could hear the -tink tink- of metal being tapped, with the occasional odd *bzzzzzzzzz* sound. She didn't quite know what to make of it, and knocked on the door. A grimy, dirtied David answered with welding goggles on.

"Oh, hello. How are you doing?"

"I'm fine. I was wondering how you slept last night. Did you like the bed?"

He turned back to his work, a black package, and began tinkering with it.

"Dunno. Didn't sleep. Been a bit busy."

"What's that?"

"Something."

"Something what?"

"Something you wouldn't understand."

"David, I am over a thousand years old. I think I'll understand it."

"Ok, it's a c4 confetti device."

"What's C4 mean?"

"Exactly. Now why don't you head on to breakfast with Luna, and I'll be there in a bit."

"Wha- how did you kn-"

"Intuition. Now off you go." He said as he waved her out. Celestia, meanwhile, did not appreciate being bossed around, after all, she WAS the ruler of the sun.

"Now wait just a mi-" -SLAM! The door closed. Celestia stormed off towards the dining hall, intending to give him a piece of her mind when he showed up.

~A few minutes later~

"And then he jumps out of the ship, throws the bomb out, and manages to climb back in!" Chris had just finished telling the sisters about one of his escapades, when a tune started up.

Sorry for party rockin'

"He didn't..." "Where's that music coming from?" "GAURDS!"

Suddenly, the double doors blew open, lights from seemingly nowhere started flashing, and David shuffled in. Behind him were about sixteen guards, each with a non-too-happy expression on their faces. Each of them had a nice red handprint on the sides of their faces.

"Wut." Is all the response that the two princess' had to say. Chris facepalmed yet again.

Party rock is in the house tonight

Everybody just have a good time

And we gonna make you lose your mind

Everybody just have a good time

David began to strut and sing as he walked around the room, while the guards demeanor changed suddenly and they began to dance too. 'I knew it, something about music is magical here. I'm totally gonna abuse this.'

Party rock is in the house tonight

Everybody just have a good time

And we gonna make you lose your mind

We just wanna see ya shake th- "ENOUGH!

A screaming, and very displeased Celestia was fuming, while everyone else was shocked that she had used the Royal Canterlot voice, something she didn't do everyday.

"WHAT are you DOING David?! Do you enjoy interrupting my morning coffee? I am NOT in a musical mood."

"She's always a bit cranky in the mornings." Said Luna to Chris. "Tell me about it..."

"WELL! I never! SOMEPONY doesn't appreciate what I set up for her! I even ran around the palace riling up these guards, but apparently for nothing! I think you need to loosen up!"

This made Celestia fume even more.

"You DARE address a ruler with that attitude? And I can SEE through your ruse, I know your REAL personality is NOT as bubbily and happy-go-lucky as you've made it out to be! So drop it!"

"WELL. then... Ok. Yeah, fine, I'll do that." Chris was shocked by the changes in his voice. "YOU DON'T HAVE AN ENGLISH ACCENT?"

David gave him a quizzical look, "What? No! no I- wait, hold on... where was I?"

He thought for a minute.

"Ooohh yeah. WELL princess, I think YOU should drop YOUR ruse! I know for a fact that you aren't as accepting of strange beings as you've made yourself out to be!"

Luna and David sat next to each other at the breakfast table, watching the fight unfold and getting progressively more worried.

"Well, you DARED insult me, so the only thing left to do, is DUEL!" Yelled Celestia. Luna and Chris' mouths dropped open. Suddenly two foils appeared in front of David and Celestia.

"Well I ACCEPT! TO THE DEATH!"

At this point, the guards, not quite knowing what to do, just sat on the sidelines and started placing bets. Most bet on Celestia, but a few rooted for David. Luna shot a glance their way which shut them up.

The two duelists began to circle each other, David assuming proper fencing position while Celestia gripped her foil in her magical grasp. "Ladies first." Said David, as he temporarily lowered his defense. Celestia took the chance, and lunged, but David parried and countered. Celestia took a moment to recover as she jumped onto the table, David soon to follow. Luna and Chris still sat there, dumbstruck, as food and assorted beverages assaulted their assorted stations.

"YOU SHALL NOT WIN!"

"MY NAME IS INIGO MONTOYA, YOU KILLED MY FATHER, PREPARE TO DIE!"

At this, they both lunged, yelling at the top of their lungs. Suddenly, they both froze and looked down. Each others foils were stuck into each others chest. A red substance began to flow out of the wounds, as they locked eyes.

"You fought valiantly."

"As did you, your highness."

At that, they both keeled over. Luna and Chris sat there, dumbfounded. Then they began to panic.

"Oh CRAP! WHAT DO WE DO WHAT DO WE DO?"

"I DO NOT KNOW! SOMEPONY, SUMMON A MEDIC!"

They rushed to their respective parties and began to look for signs of life, as the guards sat there, eyes bulging and mouths hanging open. As Luna inspected Celestia, she began to stir.

"Lu-Luna..."

"Yes sister! I'm here!"

"Luna, the d-duties of the s-s-sun, now belong to you. protect m-my little p-p-ponies..."

At this, her head fell. Both Chris and Luna were too dumbstruck to speak. Suddenly, both bodies began to shake.

"What's happening?!?!" Said Chris.

"I-I... I don't know!"

The bodies shaking increased excessively, till a sound was heard.

"snnrkt"

"Wha-what? He said something!" Chris leaned forward nearer to David.

"C-chris..."

"Yeah? What is it buddy? It's gonna be okay..."

"C-Chris, have I ever told you... That you're too gullible?"

Chris gave a start at his reply.

"W-What? I'm.... Gullible?"

Suddenly, David and Celestia both jumped up, and promptly collapsed in laughter. Luna and Chris were miffed, till they realized what just happened.

"Oh. My. Me. SISTER! THOU HAST TRICKED US, AND T'WAS CRUEL! I SHOULD NEVER HAD LISTENED TO YOU. I SHOULD HADST BURIED THEE ALIVE!"

"DAVID, YOU -Censoredfortehkids- IDIOT, DO YOU KNOW HOW FREAKED OUT WE WERE?"

David and Celestia just continued to laugh, clutching their sides.

"Oh my-wheeze- OH I THINK I'M GONNA COUGH UP A LUNG. OH that was PRICELESS!"

"I can't believe you two fell for that! Especially YOU sister! HAH!"

After much yelling and laughing, things calmed down. The guards were dismissed to their duties, and the quartet resumed their breakfast. After a while, the two trick-ies began to appreciate the tricksters prank.

"So, wait. Last night, that noise I heard was you two choreographing this whole thing?" Chris said incredulously.

"Yes, Chris. David contacted me when he heard your snoring. And I must say, you snore quite loud. Not as loud as Luna though." Luna's blue coat turned a shade darker.

"I don't snore..." She said as she shifted her alfalfa around on her plate. Celestia chuckled, "Ooh, yes you do. I recall the villagers petitioning against allowing you to sleep in the inn we were staying at, because your snoring roused the whole town."

"That only happened once..."

"Wait, why did you guys bring the guard in here?" Chris asked.

Celestia smiled devilishly. "Witnesses."

David, who was enjoying his fruit, when he spoke up. "Hey, is there a large field around here? Somewhere slightly out of the public eye, with not much around it?"

"Ah, yes there is. The training grounds for the guards are rather large. Luna, would you like to take him there after breakfast?"

"Of course! What do you intend to do?"

"Oooh, you'll see..."

~Later, at the training field~

"Is this good enough?" Asked the dark blue alicorn as they looked over a green field that was about a mile long.

"Yeah, this is good. Alright fellas! bring it over here!" Two guards were hauling a strange blue metal machine between each other. "Set it right here." Once the guards deposited it, they stood off to the side.

"So David, what is this contraption?"

"This, lu-lu, is a trap machine." Luna gave him a odd look.

"You mean this thing makes traps?" David chuckled.

"No, it launches these orange disks, called clay pigeons. They're for target practice. They're called clay pigeons, because it's illegal to trap pigeons and then shoot them on my world. They used to do that, but not anymore." Luna paled at this.

"You mean, your people would kill birds for sport? That is most disturbing."

"Yeah, well I won't go into it. In the meantime, check this out. This is my shotgun, it's a 20 gauge, but you don't know what that means. What that means is it's slightly less powerful than its 12 gauge brother, and yada yada yada just watch."

David walked up to the machine and handed Luna a button and some hearing protection.

"Here, put these on, and when I say 'pull', hit that button. we'll do a test so you get a feel for what it looks like."

David got into position and yelled, "PULL!" The clay shot out of there and landed a ways down the field.

"Alright, now when I pull this trigger, it's gonna get LOUD. Now when I say 'range is hot' no one is allowed on or off the field, just to keep it safe. Ready?" He said as he loaded a shell.

"Ready!"

"Alright! Range is HOT! PULL!" As he said that, a clay shot out of the target. It looked as if it would follow the path of the other clay, then suddenly a loud bang ripped through the morning air. The clay turned into a orange powder, and the guards  nearly jumped out of their skins.

"Well? What do you think?"

"It's rather.. loud... But... I think I might enjoy this.. this... What do you call it again?"

"It's called trap shooting. But now we're gonna mix it up a little. I'll say pull twice, and you hit the button twice. Okay?"

Luna nodded, "Okay, ready when you are."

"Alright!" He loaded two shells then shut the action. "RANGE IS HOT! PULL, PULL!"

Two clays shot out into the air. within two seconds the first turned to dust, and within four, the other cracked in half.

"Huzzah! The clays have been DOUBLED!" Luna facepalmed at David's remark.

"Augh, I will never live that down."

Suddenly a frantic Chris was on the scene. He began to run towards the range.

"Oh, here comes fun. Range is secure!"

Chris ran right up to David.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"I'm enjoying my morning with a little sport. Is that a problem?"

"YOU'RE INTRODUCING PONIES TO GUNS! YES THAT'S A PROBLEM!"

"Well, what if I do this?" He pulled out a stun gun and hit Chris in the gut, which cause him to keel over.

"Oh, my. What did you do?" Luna said as she gave Chris a worrying glance.

"Oh, I just stunned him. Easiest solution really. Well, I guess practice is over for today. You guys can leave the machine here." He returned his gun to its sleeve and picked up it and Chris.

"David, might I ask, why do you need practice?" David just smiled.

"Oh I never told you did I. Well I compete in shotgun competitions, and if I don't get my weekly fix, my hands get all shaky. Say, is there anything going on tonight?" Luna gave a heavy sigh.

"Yes, there is. Celly and I are hosting a banquet for charity. It's for a good cause, but there are SO many stuck ups there. You two are welcome to make an appearance if you'd like."

David gave a sinister smile. "Most DEFINITELY. This'll be a banquet they'll never forget."

A/N

Well, sorry about the late update. School started up and its rather boring. I now have no time to do anything, and have been writing this chapter a few minutes every night, which makes it hard for me to remember what I was talking about. So if it seems odd in some places, that's why.

I'd also like to mention, that this is done entirely by me. I have no prereaders or editors and whatnot. This is me, just writing what I feel like. I don't even have the story planned.

Probably not the best idea to keep flying blind like this, so I've got a solution, but I'll also save that solution for later. I actually don't know what I'm going to do for the banquet. Probably humiliate Blueblood and stuff, but we'll see.

I wouldn't expect updates EVERY week, but my schedule fluctuates. SO I WILL KEEP YOU ON YOUR TOES.

I'd also like your opinion, give me critiques and stuff, but try to keep it positive OR I'LL CRY.
