It was a sunny day in Ponyville, the princess had gone all out with the heat so many ponies had decided to spend the day outside. Echo happened to be one of those ponies. She had just been shopping and was heading home with her saddlebags full of food.

She skipped along the dirt path that wound its way through the town, humming a random tune to herself and waving to any passer by that she recognised. As she turned a corner, she came face to face with the most horrifying thing she had ever seen. It was a small animal, white in colour. It had four little paws and large ears protruding from the top of its head. To any other pony, they would simply just smile and walk by, but this was Echo.

Staring in shock, she watched as the animal turned to face her. It gave a little sniff before hopping closer to her.

“S-Stay back!” She called out, unsure as to whether the beast before her planned an attack.

The creature simply stared at her with its cold, dead eyes and took another hop forward.

Echo whimpered and started to move back further, hoping to move away from the strange animal. But for every step she took, the beast took two more.

Eventually, it came close enough for it to touch her. Echo had frozen a few seconds before it had arrived. Slowly, the animal raised its paw and gave her hoof a solid 'Thwack'.

Any pony nearby would most certainly say they hadn't heard a more girly scream. Apparently many ponies in the market saw a grey streak fly past, knocking over multiple items from the stalls there.

Meanwhile, the rabbit just sat there, looking at where the pegasus had previously stood.

“Angel! There your are! I was worried sick, you shouldn't wander off like that.” A gentle voice came. The animal recognised it immediately, of course, and with one last look towards the direction the mare had run off to, it smiled and hopped towards its guardian.

He was going to have some fun over the next few weeks.
