Bonus Chapter 2: Rematch

After they were finished eating they made their way to the Royal Guard training room. Twilight's friends decided that they were going to talk to the Princesses, while the Commander and Twilight made their way towards the training room. As they entered the room they found a few guards and one out of place pony. "Hey sparkle butts what kept ya" Says Red leaning on a guard who look as surprised as he felt that a strange stallion was leaning on him despite him not being there before "So I never thanked you for the help before and i did sorta cheat in our fight so how about a rematch four on four sound good to you." He says as Ignis, Umbra, and Gelu take form beside him grinning.

"Your welcome Red, and yeah a rematch sounds good. Oh let me introduce you this is Commander Sparkle of the EDF." Twilight said.

"That's good so no magic and no maiming otherwise no holds bared seeing as 2 of us cant be killed and these three can just reform easily so Sparkle you gonna let dying and that really fiery one loose?"

"Might as well." Twilight replied. She closed her eyes and focused. In less than a minute both Dying and Helios were standing beside her.

"Good so Commander Sparkle butt who you want to fight Ignis, Gelu, Umbra or tag team me with the badass Sparkle butt" He says stretching as he looks at the guard. "Don't you have a job to do somewhere."

"Tag team sounds fun" Dying said.

"Hush, little one. " Said Helios.

"But mom!? "

"Silence!"

"OK."

"I'm not gonna ask what just happened there, but a tag team does sound fun. " The Commander replied.

"Ok , good oh and claw here is gonna be running interference on us all so he can sharpen his shadow skills and so you guys can get used to opponents dropping out of presence." Red says right before he leaps forward trying to land a knee kick right into Twilight"s face before reaching a arm out and clothes lining the Commander.

"Oh that's dirty" Twilight said as she hopped over the arm of the creature. She fire a blast of ice magic at him.
The Commander was also able to avoid the attack by ducking.

Redsopine dodged the blast before grabbing it and throwing it straight back at Twilight and uses his draconic wing to slap the Commander in the face.

"Ow, that's smarts!" Twilight said as she landed. "You alright commander?"

The Commander stood up a and wiped the blood from her nose. "I'm doing just fine." She said as her eyes turned red to signal that she was in combat mode. She drew her swords and charged towards the pony.

Umbra moves in front of her. "Hey wrong target let the twins and Dying and her mother spar try going at them again and your dealing with me" He says fading into shadows again while red taking the opportunity grabs the commander from behind in a suplex and throws her into Twilight.

"Wow these guys are good at this stuff." Twilight said as she caught the Commander. "Me and Dying haven't really had time to practice our tag team attacks, but there's no better opportunity than the present. Commander you go work with Helios while me and Dying work together."

"Alright. Hey wait what are you doing!?" The Commander yelled as Twilight threw her over to Helios.

"Catch Helios!" Twilight yelled. Helios turned her flames down and caught the Commander with ease. Dying flew over to Twilight and landed on her right. "Dying Black and Zamasu!" She yelled out a combo name.

Dying horn lit and pulled Umbra from the shadows, while Twilight formed a sword of holy light and flew towards where Umbra appeared.

"You do realise he was just observing right?" Red says grinning as Umbra casually sidesteps the light sword his twin claws extending from his paws as he walks slowly towards Twilight a mad grin on his face as he starts to giggle and says in a disturbingly cheerfully manner. "Your crazy sparkle butt." He grabbed the holy light sword and crushed it in half not caring about how his paw was smoking from it right before he slashes a small cut the glows green onto twilight's arms and walks away and sits on a box and pulls popcorn out some shadows and starts to eat. Meanwhile Ignis and Gelu face down the Commander and Helios. "So lets see if there a tough as they think they are shall we dear sister?" Says Ignis to Gelu as a so commander tell me how much heat can you take * says Ignis twirling his sword as it changes shape into a scimitar then into a staff before back into a Zweihänder (looked up right spelling) as Gelu smiles at Helios * so we meet again hope you took into account what i told you before about your flames being more then show on your head * she says getting into a defensive stance smiling.

Meanwhile * so dying mind telling me why you locked out a small fragment of sparky's brain there when i looked into it before or do you want to help me film her face planting before we begin made of living fire and a giant shield made of unmealting and nigh unbreakable ice is formed the sword held buy Ignis while Gelu holds the shield and breaks it in half and reforms it. Meanwhile red walks over to Dying "So you did remind Twilight that Umbra has nerotoxins right?"

Helios looked at the two siblings and tried to observe them, finding they had no openings. "Hm, this is going to be tough." She said. "Their stances show no openings, and Twilight and the rest of us are only pretty new to this fighting stuff."

"Wait, what?" The Commander said.

"Yes alas me, Dying and Twilight have only had a half a year of learning how to really fight, magic is still our strongest skill."

"Well keep looking for anything that could give us the upper hand."

"So that explains how we curb stomped you guys before without even trying." Says Ignis while Gelu tuts." This cannot do also commander do you happen to know any anti neurotoxin spells because twilight's about to face plant onto the floor and we do not know if Helios and dying will stay here if she does how can we teach if there is no one to teach well besides the one lesson of don't annoy Umbra.

"Oh don't worry me and Dying can stay out for about an hour before we return, and Twilight own immune system is working of anti-bodies to counter the neurotoxins. If she does face plant it will be for about a minute." Helios explained.

"Ok that is good to know so miss Helios would you like to train with me ore my brother Ignis?" Gelu asks polity.

"Training with you miss Gelu sounds fun. Commander you have your fight with Ignis over there." Helios replied.

"Sure. Have fun."

"So Commander tell me how much heat can you take" Says Ignis twirling his sword as it changes shape into a scimitar then into a staff before back into a Zweihänder.

"Can't really withstand intense heat with out a shield so let me put in on first." The Commander replied as her horn lit and a small red barrier appeared around her for a second before it disappeared. "There I've placed a tier 8 heat spell on myself, will that be enough?"

Gelu smiles at Helios." So we meet again hope you took into account what i told you before about your flames being more then show on your head. She says getting into a defensive stance smiling.

"Of course I would remember such a important thing, just because my Daughter is a fool doesn't mean her mother is too." Helios replied with a smile."

"Firstly yes I will help you record Twilight's face plant. Secondly there is something in her mind that is very dangerous. Shhh, she doesn't know about it. It has to be locked away when both me and mother are out and about." Dying explained.

Makes sense. So its like Umbra when he is allowed loose without restraints sounds cool if they can be reasoned with." Red says as walk over to Twilight and placed a apple pie under her muzzle handing Dying a camera.

"Reasoning is not a word in her dictionary." Dying said as she took the camera."This is gonna be good. It's missing one thing though." She said as she teleported to the kitchen and then reappeared with whipped cream I need her magic. She walked over and put an excess amount of whipped cream on the pie. "It's perfect!" She said as she started filming. Twilight started swinging back and forth, and then fell face first into the awaiting apple pie.

Red chuckled loudly as twilight faceplants before booping dying and hiding the camera as he look towards the others "Hrmm seems they split off to fight wanna watch till twilight wakes up?" He asked.

"Sure, should only take her a minute or so to wake up." Dying replied.

"OK" Red replied as he leaned on a wall and watched Ignis and the Commander exchange blows with their arms.

"Those two seem to be having fun." Dying said watching the same pair." You know I've always wondered, how did you come into possession of such wonderful sparing mates?"

"You wouldn't believe me if i told you" Red said before sighing." To be blunt me and my sisters are from the Crystal Empire era it was during the fall of Sombra that I first met Ignis and Gelu, it was a war zone soldiers were looting places and burning homes of all non crystal ponies they tried to burn our house down and they were dragging my sisters away when I arrived so I charged at them with two swords, but they had experience I didn't and I took a sword to the back of my chest. I was dying when Ignis offered me a chance to save my sisters so i took it once the fight ended he decided to fully test me and went after my sisters. Well lets just say taking a sword to the gut and ripping it upwards hurts like hell but is effective, and while I was literally in hell I met Gelu, who bonded to me after remarking I was bound to another. And well Umbra, he was deaths replacement till he tried to kill death and was imprisoned till Discord found him and let him loose we fought and he bound himself to me to avoid dying."

"Hm, not the most unbelievable story." Dying said. "So I asked you a question, now you ask me. " She said poking Red with a hoof.

"Ok, so how long you been fighting?"

"Well as far as hand to hand, only about half a year. We've got great swordsmanship, and of course magic is our strong suit." Dying explained.

"True not many can call umbra from the shadow but its not a reliable tactic as you know." Red said. "I mean all it took was claw affecting your mind to incapacitate your strongest offence and defense."

"Yeah, that's true. Guess that means we're not as bad ass as I thought we were, huh?" Dying said sadly." I guess me and my mom and Twi will need to find a way to block against mental attacks."

"That's why were sparring without magic so you can handle yourselves." Red said as he grabbed Dyings tail and slamming her into Twilight.

The resulting impact of Dying slamming into Twilight, woke her up.

"Ouch, what the fuck is going on here? Can't a mare get some sleep?" Twilight said staring at Dying on her back.

"Sorry, he caught me off guard." Dying said standing up. She helped Twilight up and they both stared at Red and waited for his next move.

"So before I kick your plots Twilight apologize to Umbra for going after him you should know better" Red said his smoldering and badly burnt hand slowly heals with a smell of cooked steak." I forgot when separated what I'm immune to comes back, oh and dying stuck a pie with whipped cream under your face when you face planted."

"YOU DID WHAT!?!?!?" Twilight said with her eyes burning like fire at Dying.

"Ha, ah um Umbra's still waiting for that apology. Please don't hurt me!" Dying pleaded on her knees.

"Oh I'm gonna do a lot more than hurt you after were done here." Twilight said. Then a hoof smacked her on the back of the head."Ouch." Twilight turned around to see Helios staring back at her.

"Apologize, now. " Helios said sternly. Twilight sighed and made her way over time the waiting Umbra.

"Please forgive me for attacking you with dangerous intention." Twilight said as she bowed her head in shame. Helios smiled and went back over to Gelu to continue training.

"It's ok Sparky and thank you miss Helios though, Sparky you just made a critical error in a fight losing your temper and threatening your squad" Said Umbra as Red grabs Twilight in a submission hold to knock her out as Umbra is speaking.

Gelu smiled. "It's good to see one of you has some maturity to keep them in line miss Helios and I must say your quite adaptive in combat, though you need to keep your flame's from scorching friendlies in close quarters." She said as Ignis exchanges sword blows with the Commander.

"Good reflexes though your not gonna last long in defense like that." Ignis said.

'Damn he's right. I've got to do something.'

Back with Helios

"Well when your the only moderately sane play in that mind it's the best I could do." Helios said.

Over with Dying

"Thanks Umbra." Dying said wiping the sweat from her forehead. She looked back towards Red and charged.

"Red grinned as he twisted and threw Sparky onto Dying as he flip over them both."

"Oh, come stop using Twilight as a projectile." Dying said as she flipped Twilight's unconscious body off of her. She stood up a tried to land a punch on Red's face. Red stood still as his body turned to bedrock as Dying tried to hit him.

"Ow, fuck, fuck!" Dying said clutching her bleeding knuckle."Fucking smart ass!" She says as her eyes glow completely green and her fangs extend to the outside of her jaw. Her wings turn bat-like and her crystal claws sharpen. She let out a mighty roar of anger and flew towards Red in her rage mode.

"Red Stood still again as his body turned to bedrock as Dying hit it."That's gonna hurt later and I would stop but she makes it to easy." He sighed as he grabbed Dying in the air and twisted her into the ground pinning her." Never give into rage."

"Get the fuck of me!" Dying said as she ignored Red's words of wisdom. Thirty seconds later she had returned to her normal form. "There happy now." She said as she phased through the floor and came back through in time to land a kick to Red's back.

"Yes I am. That's really good control you have to calm down so fast and nice Ariel flip but you left your team mate exposed." Red says as a dagger is embedded in the ground next to Twilight.

"Dammit why is fighting so hard!?" Dying yelled. Once again leaving herself open.

Red rushes in and quickly punches Dying's nerves locking her body up. "Your to easy to anger that's why." He replied.

"Can I just lose now? Please." Dying pleaded.

"No! No you cannot." Twilight said as if Dying's words were the cure to her unconscious state.

"Twilight! Please I'm admitting defeat to the superior fighter. For once at least." Dying said looking Twilight in the eyes.

"Hm, well this is something unexpected. Dying Phoenix admitting defeat. Some ponies gone and matured." Twilight said teasingly." Well if my partner admits defeat then I too admit it."

"Ok then." Red said pushing a pressure point so Dying could move.

"Well then I guess you guys win. Where's Helios and the Commander?"

"Still fighting." Red said pointing behind him as the commander came flying over his head. "All right Ignis, enough."

Twilight catches the Commander and puts her down."So we are done sparing Commander. All were waiting on is Helios and Gelu to finish up. "

"Oh we stopped ages ago. "We've just been chatting and observing what's going on." Said Gelu walking up to them.

"Oh ok. Well who's hungry my treat!" Twilight said as she started towards the exit.

"I already ate." Red said holding out a slice of cake to Twilight and vanishes out of site as a very irate and mad sunbutt break's down the door and looks at Twilight.

"GIVE ME MY CAKE NOW!!!!"

"Dammit Red, what have you got me into!" Twilight yelled as she teleported away. Dying and Helios look at each other before they both burst out laughing.

"I work with foals." Helios said with a sigh.
