My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Season X

The cold opening shows the first bit of the first episode, then some choice bits from the previous one. For the purposes of the episode, the last bit is the end of the previous episode.

OPENING CREDITS ANIMATION

We open with Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Spike walking in a direction. Off in the distance, they see a large building. As they get closer, Rarity's voice says:

“As per the directions we were given, we set off to the place there was most likely a musical instrument for us to obtain.”

They get up to the building and we can now clearly see that there's a sign on it that reads Merry Melody's Mansion of Magical Music. They all look up at it and Spike says:

“Huh. Merry Melody's Mansion of Magical Music.”

Rainbow Dash looks at Rarity and asks:

“You think we'll find what we need in here?”

Rarity smiles at Rainbow Dash and says:

“I do believe so. Let's go in and see what we find.”

There are some double doors below the sign and they walk in. Inside, they find a very large room with various musical instruments. Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Spike all look around at these instruments with absolute wonder. Spike says:

“Looks like the only problem we have now is which one to choose.”

Rainbow Dash asks:

“Yeah, but how do we know which one would best please a talking snake head for a tail?”

Everypony looks over as a voice asks:

“Perhaps I could be of some assistance?”

We now move over and see a pony best known as Coco Pommel at what looks like a reception desk with a smile on her face. Rarity has a big smile on her face as she says:

“Coco!”

We see a clawed hand pat one of Rarity's forelegs. She looks down and Spike looks at her while shaking his head. Coco frowns and asks:

“Excuse me?”

Rarity looks back at Coco and says:

“Sorry, but you just so happen to look like somepony I know.”

Coco smiles and says:

“It's alright. That happens to me quite a bit.”

Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Spike have now walked up to the reception desk and Coco says:

“By the way, my name is Merry Melody.”

Spike says:

“Miss Melody, we are currently looking for a musical instrument for a very important individual.”

Coco asks:

“Any instrument in particular?”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Well, we're not really sure right now.”

Rarity asks:

“What would you recommend we should get for Gaia, Julia and Caesara Germanica?”

Coco has a shocked look on her face as she asks:

“Germanica?!?”

Spike pulls out a piece of paper from Rarity's backpack and claws it to Coco as he says:

“We were told to get a musical instrument from this location by them specifically.”

From Coco's point of view, we see the piece of paper. At the bottom of it we see that there is a paw print, a hoof print and two holes surrounded by ink. We now see Coco looking at the paper as she finishes reading it. She hoofs it back to Spike and says:

“There's no mistaking that signature.”

Spike puts the paper back in Rarity's backpack and asks:

“So, can you help us?”

Coco smiles and says:

“I would love to, especially ponies sent by Germanica.”

Rainbow Dash raises an eyebrow and asks:

“Except?”

Coco frowns and says:

“Well, it's just that for the last couple of days I've had a little problem.”

Rarity asks:

“What kind of problem?”

Coco opens her mouth, as if to answer Rarity's question, when suddenly a voice from behind her says:

“I don't care what you think of the humans I have in my show! They have a right to be on the stage as much as anypony!”

Coco looks behind her as another voice says:

“They always mess up the green room when they're done for the day and we go back in there! If they left it the way it was like we do, I wouldn't have such a problem with them!”

We now see two ponies walking out from behind Coco. One of them is Coloratura and the other is Mayor Mare. They are both looking at each other with angry looks on their faces. Coloratura says:

“Well maybe if you asked them nicely, they would be kind enough to clean up a little without you having to complain to me about it!”

Mayor Mare rolls her eyes and says:

“Well excuuuuuuuse me, Princess!”

They then turn their heads away from each other and close their eyes while saying:

“Hmph!!”

We cut back to Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Spike with surprised looks on their faces. Coco looks at the two ponies walking off with a concerned look on her face and says:

“That kind.”

CUT TO COMMERCIAL!

We come back and everypony is looking at where Coloratura and Mayor Mare walked off to. Rarity looks at Rainbow Dash and asks:

“Wasn't that Coloratura and the mayor we just saw?”

Rainbow Dash looks at Rarity and says:

“I think so. Though considering we're not in Equestria, they must be some ponies that look like them.”

Spike asks:

“Who were those two?”

Coco looks at Spike and smiles as she says:

“Oh, those are Princess Royal and Fire Flyinghigh. One is front mare for Princess with the Royalty and the other is the singer for the band King.”

Rarity looks at Coco and says:

“So, her name really is Princess.”

Rainbow Dash looks at her as well and asks:

“What were they arguing about?”

Coco says:

“Well, Princess has some humans that play her music while she sings the song. When they're in the green room they like to party when they've done a practice over a job well done.”

Spike asks:

“Green room?”

Coco says:

“It's a room backstage that's often painted green, hence the name. It's also where everypony and everyhuman gets ready before they go on stage and perform.”

Rarity asks:

“There's a stage here?”

Coco says:

“Yes, in the very back of the store. Anypony can rent it and play their music there for practice. If more than one band wants to play, they have to take turns.”

Rainbow Dash asks:

“So, just how messy are these humans?”

Coco says:

“Not very messy at all. It's just that Fire Flyinghigh is a neat freak and makes a huge fuss if things are not exactly where she thinks they should be.”

Spike says:

“Well, that explains a lot.”

Rarity asks:

“Do you think we could talk to them and try to sort this out?”

Coco says:

“You can try if you want. I haven't done anything so far because they keep paying me for practice time.”

Rainbow Dash looks to Rarity and asks:

“Alright, which one do you want to try and talk sense into?”

Spike says:

“I think we should go visit each of them together. The party is already split up as it is.”

Rarity says:

“Spike has a point. Since her humans seem to be the cause of this problem, let's go see Princess first.”

Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Spike all nod in agreement. We now transition to where Coloratura is. She is currently sitting down in a green room talking to six female humans who are also sitting down. Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Spike all come into the room and see her with the humans. Rainbow Dash asks:

“Uh, Princess? Could we talk to you for a minute?”

Coloratura and the humans all look over at them. Coloratura smiles and says:

“Look girls, some fans have come to see me for an autograph.”

Rarity says:

“Actually, it's about the problem you're having with Fire Flyinghigh.”

Coloratura frowns and says:

“Oh, I see.”

Spike walks over to the humans and says:

“You know, I think if you didn't party so hard while back here, you could all be good friends.”

The humans all look at each other. One of them says:

“Well, I guess we don't really think about what happens in this room when we leave.”

Another one says:

“If she feels that strongly about it, we could remember to put stuff away when we're done in here.”

A third human says:

“Maybe if they went and played before us, she wouldn't be as freaked out at the mess we make.”

Rainbow Dash asks:

“You mean you practice on the stage before they do?”

A fourth human says:

“Yes. Princess had first dibs and it's been that way ever since.”

A fifth human says:

“You know, I've actually been curious as to what King sounds like.”

The sixth human says:

“Hey I know! Let's let King practice on the stage before us, just this once, and be in the audience! That way, we can see what they're like!”

All the humans look at Coloratura with smiles on their faces. She looks at them with a surprised look on her face. She then rolls her eyes and says:

“Oh alright. If you think it might help, I guess we could go second.”

The humans all cheer at this. Rainbow Dash says:

“Well, now that we have her on board, we should go see Fire.”

Spike walks to one part of the room and a contraption appears in front of him. He rolls the gear on the side and hits down on the top. He reaches down and two d10s roll down the chute. One lands on a sixty and the other lands on a ninety. The contraption and the dice disappear as Spike picks up an accordion. As he does, Rarity asks:

“Spike, are you coming?”

Spike looks over and says:

“Actually, I'd like to learn how to play whatever this is.”

Coloratura says:

“You can leave him here with us while you talk with Miss Flyinghigh. My humans will help him figure out how to play it while you're gone.”

She looks at the six humans and asks:

“Right girls?”

The six humans look at each other and have determined smiles on their faces while nodding. Rainbow Dash and Rarity walk out of the room as Rainbow Dash says:

“Well, have a good time Spike.”

When they're gone, the humans all gang up on Spike. We transition to Mayor Mare with three other ponies. Rainbow Dash and Rarity appear and Rarity says:

“Miss Flyinghigh?”

Mayor Mare looks over and sees Rainbow Dash and Rarity looking at her. She says:

“Let me guess. You're here to try and convince me to stop fighting with Princess Royal.”

She then looks away from them and closes her eyes as she says:

“Well, I won't consider it. Until her humans do something about their untidiness, I don't want to think about it.”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Actually, they said they would try putting stuff away after they party.”

Mayor Mare opens her eyes and looks at Rainbow Dash and Rarity with a surprised look on her face as she asks:

“Are you serious?”

Rarity smiles and says:

“Yes. They even agreed to let you practice first next time.”

Mayor Mare says:

“The next practice is in fifteen minutes. If they mean what they say. We'll be onstage by then.”

Rainbow Dash and Rarity look at each other with smiles on their faces. We now transition to a stage with seats in front of it. Coloratura, the six humans, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Spike all go and sit in the seats, with Spike sitting on the shoulders of the human closest to Rarity. On the stage, we see Mayor Mare with the three other ponies we saw earlier. Mayor Mare has a keyboard in front of her. Two of the other ponies have guitars in their hooves and we see a unicorn is in the back holding drumsticks with her magic. Mayor Mare says:

“Alright everypony, let's go from the top.”

They play an upbeat song in the style of the band Queen. When they're done, Mayor Mare bows. She then has a surprised look on her face as clapping and cheering is coming from the audience area. We see that everypony and everyhuman is clapping and cheering. Mayor Mare then smirks and says:

“Alright Princess, your turn.”

We transition to Coloratura in her Countess costume now on stage with the six humans. Mayor Mare and three ponies are now in the audience. Coloratura looks at the humans and says:

“Let's do this.”

They now play an upbeat song that's in the style of the band Dead Or Alive. When they're done, they hear clapping and cheering from the audience. Mayor Mare gets up from her seat and walks up to near the front of the stage. As she does, she smiles and says:

“Princess, I really like how your music sounds.”

Coloratura jumps down from the stage and faces Mayor Mare with a smile as she says:

“I can say the same to you.”

Mayor Mare says:

“Maybe we could do a collaboration of some sort.”

Coloratura looks at her humans, who are still on stage and asks:

“What do you think?”

The humans all smile and nod. Coloratura and Mayor Mare look at the three other ponies who make up King, who are still in the audience. They smile and nod as well. Mayor Mare and Coloratura look at each other while smiling as Mayor Mare says:

“Well, I guess that settles it then.”

CUT TO COMMERCIAL!

We come back and see that Mayor Mare and Coloratura still in her Countess costume are now on stage. Behind them are the six female humans and the three ponies that make up King. Mayor Mare looks at Coloratura and asks:

“How should we credit the song we came up with?”

Coloratura looks to Mayor Mare and says:

“I vote for King and Princess with the Royalty.”

Mayor Mare says:

“Sounds good to me.”

Coloratura looks to the three ponies and the six humans behind them. She says:

“Everypony, everyhuman, let's make the magic happen.”

They all nod and start to play a song that sounds like a a mixing of styles between the bands Queen and Dead Or Alive, not unlike the song Under Pressure. When they're done, we see Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike and now Coco Pommel in the audience clapping and cheering. Coloratura smiles and says:

“Well, that was fun. We should do collaborations more often.”

Mayor Mare looks over at Coloratura and smiles as she says:

“You know, my name wasn't always Fire Flyinghigh.”

Coloratura asks:

“What was it before?”

Mayor Mare whispers into her ear. Coloratura looks at her with a confused look on her face and asks:

“File Cabinet?”

Mayor Mare holds a hoof up to her mouth with a look of concern on her face and says:

“Don't say it out loud! It's an embarrassing name!”

Coloratura smiles and says:

“Well I don't think so.”

Mayor Mare says:

“Look, if you don't tell anypony my real name I won't complain as much about your humans messing up the green room after partying so much.”

Coloratura says:

“But they already said they would be more mindful of putting things away.”

Mayor Mare raises an eyebrow and asks:

“Princess?”

Coloratura rolls her eyes and smiles as she says:

“Oh alright, you have a deal.”

They now put their hooves together and seem to shake on it. Mayor Mare looks out to the audience. We now see Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike and Coco with their eyes closed as they motion that their lips are sealed. We cut back to onstage as Coloratura looks behind her. The six humans close their eyes and also make a motion as if to say their lips are sealed. We then see Mayor Mare and Coloratura looking at each other and laughing. We transition back to the room with the chimera and everypony still there. Spike looks at the accordion he has and says:

“So because of that, I can now play an accordion. One song on it anyway.”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Oh, also, do you mind not telling anypony Fire Flyinghigh's real name?”

Rarity says:

“We swore to secrecy, but we told you by recounting the story.”

Gaia is still gnawing away at the piece of sirloin. She looks up at them and says:

“Don't worry, we won't tell.”

She goes back to gnawing at the sirloin. Julia says:

“It matters little to any of us what a pony's actual name is.”

Caesara looks at Spike and says:

“Pleasssse, do play that insssstrument for me. I'm sure it ssssounds lovely.”

Spike shrugs his shoulders and starts to play a song on the accordion he's holding. As he does, Caesara's head swings back and forth in a rocking motion. When Spike is done playing, Caesara says:

“We are very pleassssed.”

We see Gaia gnawing on the sirloin and says:

“I'll take the milk now, I'm almost done with this.”

Pinkie Pie brings it over and we move over to Applejack and Fluttershy. Fluttershy pulls out a block of something wrapped up. She undoes the wrap and Julia has a big smile on her face. She says:

“Goat cheese! You must tell us how you got it!”

We zoom in on Applejack as she looks away and says:

“Well, you're not gonna believe this.”
