Octavia woke up and knocked on Vinyl bedroom door. There was no reply from inside, "maybe she was still angry at me." The Grey mare thought. So she pressed on and opened the door slightly, poking her head through gap of the door. "Vinyl? Are you awake?" Octavia called out into the darkness. Hearing no response not even a whine, Octavia entered the room fully and made her way over to vinyl's bed pulling of the covers revealing no white unicorn.

"She must still be at Berry's." Octavia shook her and Sighed, all she wanted was the best for her friend, her best friend. Disappointed, Octavia made her way to the showers getting ready for the day ahead of her. After A good clean she headed down stairs to get started breakfast of boiled and toast and cup of tea to go with it. Once having finished making breakfast she sat down to enjoy it while she thought of answer to Vinyl's predicament. "I could go round knocking on ponies doors seeing if they need a DJ? ...No it makes Vinyl look way too desperate." Octavia hummed in annoyance as she lost her self in deep thought. "What if I went to her manger and beg him to take her back? ...Then again there's a slim chance i could change his mind and again Vinyl would not like to appear desperate. ...What if talked to my manger? That could work she may have a gig for her and Vinyl wont look desperate." Octavia smiled to her self for thinking up such a brilliant idea.

Octavia finished up the rest of her breakfast and headed over to her manger: Flawless Fortune. She entered the building and trotted over to the sectary. "Oh hello Miss Melody here to Miss Fortune?" Note Strings asks.

"Yes is she in?" Octavia asks hiding her excitement.

"When isn't she, Take a seat and let know her your here." Note answers.

"Thank you Note." Octavia sat down and waited to be seen. She looked over at Note and remember how she used to have a little crush on him when they where in school. Octavia lost her self in her memories of being at School, but it could last long her name was soon called.

"She's ready for you now Miss Melody." Note told her.

"Thank you Note." Octavia got up off the seat and trotted over to the office and entered the room.

"OCTAVIA! Darling its so good to see you!" Fortune got up from her desk seeing Octavia enter the room and pulled in for strong hug, wrapping her hoof around her neck.

"Its good to see you too." Octavia replied while having trouble breathing.

"Come, come sit down, tell everything that happened in Fillydelphia. How much did they love you?" Fortune asks excitedly as she sat back down in her chair behind her desk.

"I brought everypony to tears and I got a standing ovation for it." Octavia told her as she imagined it in her head.

"I wouldn't expect any less from my favourite artist. Im so glad the trip was a success darling." Fortune was only really worried about money and Octavia knew this, but she got her good events and she couldn't argue with that.

"Thanks but im here to ask you something?" Octavia got straight to the point she didn't want to beat around the bush.

"Yes of course, what is it?" Fortune put on a smile while she hoped that Octavia didn't ask for time off.

"Well do you know my room mate, Vinyl Scratch?" Octavia asks with lump in her throat that she soon swallows.

"Ah, yes the DJ. What's her name?" Fortune asks her self while tapping her hoof on her chin.

"Well she needs-" Octavia is cut off short by Miss Fortune.

"Dj Pon3!"

"Yes that's her." Octavia nodded.

"Nice mare I use to like her music." Fortune reminisced.

"Well she needs work and her own manger disowned her. I was hoping you could help her?" Hope was clear in Octavia's voice.

Fortune rubbed the back of nervously. "Sweetheart, Darling. I would love too but, she old news and she would be bad for business. you can see where im coming from cant you?"

"I guess so, thanks anyway." Octavia got up and was about to leave, Until miss Fortune called her back giving the mare a slight it of hope.

"Tall Tale, have requested tour?" Fortune smiled, the joy of money filled her thoughts.

"Actually i was thinking of a break for a short bit." Octavia knew this would anger her but not show it.

"Of course darling you have your self a good day." Fortune replied through gritted teeth. But Octavia didn't care she left and she was back to square one with Vinyl troubles.

"I need something full of sugar, just to take the edge off." The perfect place popped into her head.

Octavia arrived at Sugarcube corner and headed to the counter where Pinkie was galloping about all over the place. "Pinkie!" Octavia called out trying to get The Pink Mare's attention. But Pinkie was too busy to hear Octavia call out causing her to call out louder "PINKIE!" But still The Party Pony didn't hear her, leading to Octavia to call out in one last attempt. "PINKIE!"

Once Octavia had shouted out she had everypony turning and looking at her making The Gray Mare blush putting her hoof . But she had finally gotten Pinkie's attention. "Oh, hi Octavia!" Pinkie chirped hopping over to the counter, "What can I do for you?"

"Im ever so sorry. I didn't mean to be so loud?" Octavia apologies smiling sheepishly.

"No, im sorry. Im so busy with this party and I have the bakery to run while Mr and Mrs cake have left on erring." Pinkie pouted but then smiled again quickly after, "What would you like?"

"Strawberry shake and a chocolate cake please." Octavia order with her stomach rumbling soon after.

"Coming right up!" Pinkie smiled brightly.

"So whose party is it this time?" Octavia asks making friendly conversation.

"Celestia." Pinkie answers casually.

"Celestia?!" Octavia answers in shock. "Well that's quite the achievement. You must be very proud."

"Nah im just excited to be doing another party for a very close friend... Hey your friends with Vinyl Right." Pinkie asks as an idea pop's into his head.

"Yeah?"

"Well I need a DJ for the party do you think she'll be available in two days?" Pinkie asks while handing over the treats.

"Yes! She'll be more then happy." Octavia smiled hoping that this could be the very thing to put Vinyl back on top. "Ill tell her right away." Octavia took her treats in her mouth and Waved Pinkie goodbye before leaving to head towards Berry Punch's house where she presumed Vinyl still was.

Octavia had reached Berry's house and put her treats on the ground before knocking on the door. "Vinyl!"

The door soon open's revealing Berry Punch "What do you want?" Berry's tone is tired and full of annoyance.

"Im here to see Vinyl." Octavia replied coldly.

"She doesn't want see you." Berry was about to close the door until another voice spoke up.

"Its okay ill see her." Vinyl Appeared at the door leading to Berry leaving. "What do you want Octy?"

"I've got you a job." Octavia smiled leaving a surprised look on Vinyl's face.
