Posey has been inside the room for hours. HOURS. Discord was worried. He paced back and forth, wondering what was wrong. Usually, Posey would be in the room for a half an hour, then would come back out to chat with Discord. Discord swore every now and then he could hear a small sob.

Each time he heard the sob, he had teleported to the door, and was prepared to knock. But, he always stopped for some reason. Suddenly, there was loud sobbing. It wasn't once. It was continuous. Discord teleported inside of Posey's room, and looked down on the pitiful mass of blankets.

"Posey?" said Discord. The sobbing immediately stopped, and Posey looked out of the covers. She sniffled.

"O-Oh. H-Hello, Discord," said Posey, forcing a smile.

"What's wrong?" asked Discord.

"N-Nothing," said Posey. She made her smile wider to convince Discord. Discord didn't buy it.

"I don't think you would sob over 'nothing'," said Discord, crossing his arms. "Tell me what's wrong." Posey sighed, tears starting to leak from her eyes.

"W-Well, you told me that I reminded you of Fluttershy," Posey cried. "And I realized how much pain I was bringing you." Discord took a moment to process what he heard, when he burst out laughing.

"My dear, that is hardly a reason to be upset!" Discord exclaimed. "In fact, you helped the pain go away! I'm so happy you're here!" Posey beamed.

"Thank you, Discord," she replied, her voice a happier tone.

"So, uh, want to have a picnic at 6?" asked Discord. "To get to know each other better?" Discord tapped his talons and paw tips together nervously.

"I would love to, Discord," Posey replied, her cheeks starting to turn a rosy pink. Discord glanced at the clock. It was 12 right now, so he had a lot of time to prepare.

Posey was very happy. She was going to be able to hang out with Discord. But, she had to wait six hours. Usually she was a patient pony, but something about Discord made her giddy.

Because of her excitement, Posey decided to go downtown and meet Red Rose to pass the time. Posey saw Sugar Cube Corner, where Red had told her about.

“C’mon, Posey, this place has the best sweets in the world!” Red exclaimed. She picked up her walking pace to a trot, and Posey struggled to keep up.

“W-Wait for me!” Posey called. Red went into the store, and Posey followed. Inside, a sweet aroma of frosting and freshly baked cake entered her nostrils. Posey sighed in bliss.

“Hello, welcome to Sugar Cube Corner, what would you like?” asked an unicorn mare with light yellow fur, and golden orange hair.

“Hey Pumpkin Cake!” Red replied, giving her hoof a wave. “We would like one apple pie and two slices of chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.” Posey’s mouth watered.

“I love buttercream,” Posey said. Red chuckled.

“I figured you were the buttercream type,” Red giggled. Pumpkin flashed Posey a smile, and walked between the two doors that led to a kitchen. Red beckoned for Posey to follow her to a table. Posey sat down, and took in the place. It was amazing, with candy theme layout and furniture, suiting the sweet shop. Her eyes locked onto one portrait. She recognized Pumpkin Cake as a baby, along with a pegasus baby next to her with pale brown fur, and chocolate brown hair. Holding them was a pink mare with poofy hair. Her eyes were bubbly blue, and shone with excitement and boundless energy. Pinkie Pie. Posey squeaked as she thought the name, wondering why the name was so familiar. Red waved a hoof in her face.

“Equestria to Posey,” called Red Rose. Posey’s attention snapped back into reality.

“O-Oh! Sorry,” Posey apologized quickly. “The pink pony in the picture looked familiar.” Red looked at the portrait, her eyes wide.

“You mean Pinkie Pie?” she asked. The name Posey had thought about was right.

“Strange. That’s what I thought her name was,” Posey murmured.

“Well, she was the Element of Laughter,” Posey explained. “You probably recognize her because she was a pretty famous mare. Everypony’s heard of her, even though she passed away before we were born.”

“I feel like there’s more to it,” Posey said. Then, Pumpkin Cake came to their table, along with the older version of the light brown pegasus baby. He held the two plates with both of his hooves, flapping his wings.

“My name is Pound Cake,” said Pound. Red blushed slightly, sighing. Pound glanced at Red, turning slightly red. He set down the cakes quickly, and flew away. Pumpkin giggled, and set down the pie, and gave Posey and Red a fork and knife.

“He really has a crush on you, y’know,” said Pumpkin. She giggled.

“And you seem to have a crush on him,” Posey added, smirking.

“And how would you know?” Red asked, narrowing her eyes playfully.

“Well, I have always seen the signs in my friends,” said Posey. “Rarity taught me.” She smiled. Red’s eyes widened, along with Pumpkin’s.

“But Rarity’s been dead for a long time!” exclaimed Pumpkin. “How could you have spoken to her?”

“She’s been dead longer than you’ve been alive,” added Red. Posey’s ears flattened on her head.

“W-Wow, I don’t know why I said that,” Posey admitted. A hazy memory entered her mind.

”Darling, you simply must try this new hooficure with me,” said a white unicorn. Posey giggled, and nodded.

“If you insist, Rarity” she said softly. Rarity smiled softly. She turned to a pink mare with a blue mane.

“Got it,” said the mare, giving Rarity a wink. She walked away behind a counter, presumably to get the supplies needed.
Rarity turned back to Posey.

“Fluttershy, dear, your coat absolutely shimmers in such a divine way,” Rarity said, scanning Posey over. “You must tell me your secret.”

“I use all natural products,” Posey replied, smiling. “Anyway, thank you for bringing me out. I don’t, um, mean any harm to them, but the animals can be a bit troublesome.” Rarity laughed.

“Yes, I knew you needed a getaway,” said Rarity.

Posey snapped back to reality. Red was eating her slice of cake, smiling. Posey shook her head, and went to eat until one thought struck her mind. That memory was new, and it certainly didn’t happen to her. Posey was confused. She became more perplexed when she realized something else. The white unicorn, or Rarity, called her Fluttershy.
