Suddenly, Posey wasn't hungry anymore. She pushed her hoof on the table, pushing the chair back.

"I'm sorry Red Rose, but I feel a bit sick," Posey said weakly. Red paused mid-bite of the pie, and looked to Posey with a worried expression.

"Are you alright?" she asked, her voice genuinely concerned. Posey nodded.

"I think I need a bit of rest," she said. She looked longingly to her untouched slice of cake, and took one bite, and started to exit the shop.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" asked Red.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to be a nuisance," Posey replied. "I think I will be fine." She gave Red a weak smile, and left. Posey's mind was running. Why was she starting to have memories, presumably lived by Fluttershy? Why were ponies pointing out things that Posey and Fluttershy had in common? And why was she starting to feel strange around Discord? Well, not a bad strange, but the kind of strange that makes her feel butterflies in her stomach and feel giddy.

"Hello, Posey!" called a familiar voice. Posey turned around, and her heart dropped when she saw Fire Wheel. He was different though. His eyes were violet, but Posey didn't pay that much attention to them. "I, uh, have to apologize."

"Huh?"

"I was pushy the first time we met," Fire Wheel sighed. "I just wanted to make friends with you."

"That was kind of the wrong way to go, not to offend you or anything," Posey replied.

"I realized that after you left," Fire admitted. "Can we restart?" Posey nodded.

"It's nice to meet you, Fire Wheel," Posey said, smiling and holding out her hoof. Fire Wheel grinned, and shook her hoof.

"Do you wanna grab some lunch?" asked Fire. Posey's ears lay on the back of her head.

"I'm sorry, but I'm going home because I'm starting to feel sick," Posey replied. "Maybe tomorrow. Just stop by the cottage." Fire nodded.

"See you tomorrow, then!" He exclaimed with a chipper tone, before turning around and leaving. Posey had a soft smile on her face. Fire Wheel wasn't as bad as she thought.

Discord paced back and forth in the garden. He needed a way to remind Posey of her past favorites as Fluttershy, but didn't want to make it so Posey was going to try completely new things. Discord didn't know what Posey liked, as the point of the picnic was to learn about each other. Well, Discord knew Fluttershy, but he didn't know how much she had changed as her new persona as Posey. He snapped his talons, making a pink and buttercream yellow picnic blanket.

Maybe it was too forward. Posey would surely think Discord was very interested in her. So, he settled for the typical red and white checkers. As for the food, for a tinge of Discord, he summoned ginseng tea that actually sang, and Fluttershy's old favorite, carrot cake. But, he make the cake blue, with a banana on top of it. It surely would be surprising to taste the carrot in it.

He heard sweet humming, and saw Posey walking to the door of the cottage.

"Posey!" he called, waving his paw and claw, to get her attention. Posey turned to him, smiling. "Come over here, my dear." Discord cringed, realizing that what he said rhymed. How embarrassing.

"Discord, this is very nice," said Posey, as her eyes scanned over the picnic blanket.

"I'm glad you think so," Discord replied. He looked away, his face slightly pink. This was exactly like his first date with Fluttershy in her past life.

"What flavor is the cake?" asked Posey, perplexed as she looked at the coloring. "Blueberry?"

"Why don't you try it for yourself?" asked Discord, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "It might surprise you." Sure, it wasn't that chaotic, but it still would be funny to see Posey's reaction. Even though they only 'met' a few days ago, Discord's love was rekindled. He wanted to make Posey happy, and hoped the carrot flavoring would be to her delight. Discord snapped his talons, a slice of cake going onto a plate and in front of Posey. The insides were creamy yellow and soft pink. Discord blushed as he realized he didn't know he did that.

"Oh, Discord, these are the same colors of my fur!" Posey exclaimed in delight. He took a bite, her face going into shock as she registered the flavor. "Carrot cake! My favorite, how did you know?"

"Eh, an old friend liked it, so I wanted to see if you did, too," Discord replied, not meeting her eyes. Posey smiled, as he saw from the corner of his eye. He felt a smile grow on his face.

"Can you tell me how you met Fluttershy?" asked Posey suddenly. Discord raised an eyebrow at her. "I-I just want to know more about her..." Discord gave her a small smirk as he felt a twinge of hope. Maybe she'd remember who she was.

"It's kinda a long story," said Discord.

"I'll listen," Posey said a bit too loudly and quickly, causing her to blush and hide behind her hair. "S-Sorry."

"That was too cute," Discord purred. Posey turned an even deeper shade of pink. "So, it happened over 60 years ago, when a group of arguing fillies set me free, and Fluttershy and her friends were summoned to Canterlot. I remember even the first time I set my eyes on her, she was perfect. But back then, I didn't appreciate that. I wanted to corrupt her beauty and make her imperfect, like me." He sighed sadly.

Posey startled him by putting her hoof on his shoulder comfortingly, just like Fluttershy did, even with the same watery look in her eyes. Discord cleared his throat.

"That was a regrettable time," he said. "And then when I managed to convince them all that the Elements of Harmony were in the Labyrinth, I tried to corrupt her. But every insult at any weakness she had, she turned it around like it was some kind of strength as long as she knew how to make it better. I found myself attracted to her, and I was afraid. I was afraid she was going to make me give up my thoughts on power, so I corrupted her quickly, making her a bully and completing my task. I never mentioned it to her, but I even had regretted it before I was reformed." He finished the story, and studied Posey's face as she took in all the information given to her.

"Strangely enough, this story sounds familiar even though I never heard of it before," Posey whispered half to herself. Discord's ears perked up.

"Oh?" he prodded.

"Can you tell me how you were reformed?" she asked. Then, Posey yawned and Discord noticed the sun was going down.

"Probably not today," said Discord, gesturing to the darkening sky. "Let's go inside. Goodnight, my dear." With that he teleported them both inside, and went to his room for the night, hoping that his Fluttershy will be back soon.

Author's Note

Sorry I've been gone so long. I've just been so busy for the last few months, but I'm sure I will get a chapter out every 2 weeks. Thanks for being patient! I've just gotten through my summer job and school started and I wanted to make sure I could do that before coming back to my hobby. I also got a boyfriend that I've been dating for two months so that takes time out of writing. And in a month I will be continuing my Hearth's Warming story!
