"You know...I've never really seen the inside of your house," Twilight commented, unwrapping her arms from around Sunset's waist before taking off the helmet she borrowed from Sunset and got off the bike. After having a quick discussion they decided to drop Twilight's little 'scene' at school and just get on with enjoying the rest of their evening. Sunset took off her helmet and got off her bike as well, making sure the stand was out so it wouldn't fall over. Sunset lead out Twilight out the garage before speaking.

"Aparetment more and none of the girls have. I kept it that way for a reason,"

"Why?"

"Because when I leave the house I don't really clean away my throwing knives, duel pistols and daggers from around the place and believe me they are pretty noticeable," Sunset replied, punching in the passcode to open the front door to the apartment complex. Sunset walked towards the elevator and made sure Twilight was inside before swiping her key card and pressing the floor number.

"Will I get to see them?"

"Yeah but don't mess about with them. The blades been sharpened with diamond so with the smallest cut will make you squirm and I was practising with the pistols this morning so they probably still have the safety off,"

"...got it," Twilight gulped. She then raised an eyebrow and looked up at Sunset "Wait. If you were practising with pistols wouldn't of anyone heard gunfire and alerted the police?"

"You ever heard of a wonderful attachment for a pistol called a silencer? Its absolutly revolutionary and-" Twilight quickly slapped a hand over Sunset's mouth and glared at her.

"Alright, Smart ass you can shut up now. And just for the record-Ew you licked my hand!" Twilight cried as quickly retraced her hand, wiping her hand on the jeans while Sunset just laughed.

"Pro strategy of get rid of your hand," Sunset said with a massive grin.

"Ugh you are so gross,"

"You know it, Sparkle. C'mon this is our stop," Sunset smiled as the elevator door opened to reveal an entire apartment. Twilight looked up from her jeans only for her eyes to widen. She frantically looked around both the apartment and the elevator before looking at Sunset.

"Do we just walk through this place to your place or?"

"Twilight,"

"Yeah?"

"This is my place," Sunset replied, pushing her gently into the room that showed before the elevator door closed behind them.

Twilight could only look on in disbelief
"H-how?"

"The creed pays the big bucks. Techinally its the only reason I stay," Sunset commented as she made her way into the kitchen "You want a drink?"

Twilight hadn't heard Sunset speak as she continued to look around. She began to back up to get a better view of the living room until her back collided with something soft. She spun around and looked up to see Sunset stood there with two cans of Pepsi Max, a half smile on her lips.

"You didn't answer me so I just assumed you'd want a soft drink as a pose to alcohol," Sunset said while streching an arm out to hand Twilight a can, who happily took the can. Sunset took a quick look at Twilight's expression and pursed her lips.

"Do you want to go for a wonder around the place,Twi?"

"Can we?" Twilight asked with excitement, struggling to open her can. Sunset let out a snort and helped Twilight open her can as well as opening her own.

Sunset began to walk towards the end of the living room
"C'mon,"

After getting a tour of Sunset's apartment, Twilight slumped onto the sofa with a sigh before looking over the back of it to see Sunset pulling some knives out of a dart board. Twilight blinked a couple of times before clearing her throat to get Sunset's attention.

Sunset was halfway through pulling out the last throwing knife before stopping, shifting her eyes over to look at Twilight.
"Yes?"

"What happens if you miss the board and it hits the wall?"

"I don't miss." Sunset said flatly, finishing what she started by pulling out the last knife from the board before placing them on the table behind her "But if I were to miss, it would just create a nasty mark in the wall that my landlord wouldn't be happy about,"

Twilight didn't respond, only looked on at Sunset until she finally turned around to look at the TV, turning it on and flicking through the channels. Sunset looked to her friend before walking off into the bedroom to find something more comfortable.

Twilight's eyes scanned the TV screen before she called out to Sunset.
"Sunny!"

"Just a minute!" Sunset called back, slipping on her sweatpants and glasses before coming back into the living room "Yeah?"

"I was just wondering what-" Twilight stopped midsentence after looking at Sunset. Her mouth hung open slightly while she continued to stare causing Sunset to chuckle as she walked round the side of the sofa, jumping onto it.

"Whats up? Why are you staring?"

"..You wear glasses..?"

"Only around the house,they're reading glasses. Why? Do they look bad?" Sunset asked.

Twilight quickly shook her head and offered a reasurring smile
"Not at all! They look lovely! Just..took me by suprise,"

"Yeah I don't really need to wear them but I feel comfortable enough to wear them around you," Sunset responded, glancing over the rim and smiling at her friend. Twilight couldn't help but go a little red at the statement and hid the rising grin behind her soft drink can.

"So I was thinking that we could watch-" Sunset stopped, staring out the window with a blank expression. Twilight raised her head to see what caused Sunset to stop talking, following her line of sight only to see a black feather fall outside the window. Sunset could only sigh and get up.

"Sunny? Whats going on?"

"I've been summonded by the creed. And since its a black feather, its not gonna be fun," Sunset replied with annoyance lacing her tone as she began to walk back into the bedroom to get dressed. Twilight could only look on in silence,frowning before clenching her fists.

"Will..you be long?" Twilight asked loudly so Sunset could hear her.

Sunset walked back into the living room, equiped head to toe in gear
"Hopefully not. White feathers mean there is a contract, black feathers are briefings but they also mean we gotta stay on high alert,"

Sunset raised her head slightly "I'm not sure what time I'll be back so whats mine is yours. Food in in the kitchen, you can watch anything on my TV or play anything on my game consoles. I do, however, think its in your best intrest if you stay over tonight,"

"Why..?"

"Just trust in me, Twi," Sunset replied, looking at the book worm with pleading eyes. Twilight stared at Sunset with her mouth open slightly for a moment before closing it and nodding.

"I'll text my parents,"

"Alright. See you soon, Sparky," Sunset smiled softly, going over to the window and climbing out. Twilight let out a large sigh and slumped on the sofa, running a hand through her hair.

"Whats the problem, Gov?" Sunset asked, pulling her hood down when in front of her boss. Governor only gave Sunset a hard stare due to the nickname before sighing and motioning her to sit down in the chair in front of his desk. Sunset slid into the chair and straightened herself up before looking forward with a slight frown.

"Well?"

Governor paused for a moment before responding
"Fox."

Sunset's frown turned into a straight line and her expression went blank. The only signs of emotion she showed at this time was the darkening of her eyes.

"What about him?"

"He's joined the templars." Governor said flatly. Sunset felt a pang of hatred course through her entire body as gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. She was silent for a moment before shooting out of her chair, said chair falling to the ground with a low thud. Sunset gripped her hair hard and lowered her head.

"I should of fucking known! I should of known when he left me to rot, that absolute piece of shit!" Sunset screamed, grabbing a near by vase and throwing it against the wall. Governor stayed silent, a flash of sympathy showing in his eyes before fading again. He looked down at the ground only to look up again and come face to face with a fuming Sunset Shimmer.

"I'll hurt him-"

"Osiris..."

"-so bad that he will beg for the sweet release of death. I can promise you that much."

"I can understand that you are upset..."

"Upset is an understatement. I'm..livid."

"Sunset.."

"Are we done here?" Sunset asked coldly, her back to him now.

"I...yes. Remeber to-"

"-keep a look out, yeah I know," Sunset interrupted,storming out of the office.

Sunset scaled the building wall to her apartment, coming close to open widow only to hear a scream. She froze in place and hid for a moment.

"You utter bitch! I swear if anyone heard that you're as good as dead!" A male voice yelled. Sunset could feel her blood run cold.

"Fox..." She whispered to herself. Shaking her head, she peaked through the window to see nobody in the living giving her a chance to sneak in. She knew she had to get to Twilight. Now. She perked up when she heard movement in the kitchen,moving quietly but quickly to the kitchen door way to see Fox standing over Twilight with his hidden blade at the ready to strike.

"Now tell me where Sunset is and you won't get hurt." Fox snarled at a whimpering Twilight.

"I-I don't-"

"If you say I don't know one more fucking time I'll slit your throat."

"But I really don't know-"

"Thats it! I-" Fox was unable to finish his sentence as his head was turnt forcefully to the side and his neck snapped. His body instantly flopped to the ground, lifeless, to show Sunset looking at Twilight with fear and concern. Twilight, still trembling, slowly opened her eyes to see a blurry image of red and yellow in front of her.

"S-s-sunset?"

"Yeah, Twi its me,I'm here." Sunset spoke softly,moving Fox's body before kneeling in front of Twilight. Twilight stared at Sunset for a moment before she burst into tears and threw herself onto Sunset, gripping her waist coat while sobbing into her chest. Sunset hesitated for a moment before wrapping her arms Twilight, rubbing her back for comfort which was meant with louder sobs.

"I-I was so s-scared, Sunset! I thought I w-was going to die!" Twilight cried,gripping tighter.

"I know Twilight I...I'm so sorry..." Was all Sunset could say as she rested her chin on top of Twilights head.

Sunset could only look from the kitchen doorway and Twilight on the sofa, a blacket wrapped around her body as she store blankly at the cartoon on the TV. Sunset thought that putting on Twilight's favorite cartoon would do something to the shock but alas it did nothing. Sunset chewed on her bottom lip before going back into the kitchen to finish making the tea she was preparing.

Finishing both cups, Sunset brought both out and placed them on the glass coffee table, the sound of impact causing Twilight to jump. Twilight stared at the source with her mouth slightly agap before tilting her head up to see Sunset, who just shot her a small smile. Twilight focused her attention on the steam coming from the cup until that was all became an intrest to her causing Sunset frown.

After what seemed like an eternity, Twilight spoke up
"Does it get easier?"

"I'm sorry?"

"The killing." Twilight elaborated before finally looking at Sunset fully "Does it get any easier to see and do that?"

Sunset was taken back by the question,pursing her lips as she sat down slowly next to Twilight.
"In a sense,"

"Meaning?"

"I've gotten used to the idea of it and large amounts of blood no longer bother me. However, taking another life, no matter how much they may deserve it, can still be haunting. Unfortunatly for me, this job pays the bills and requires no annoying paperwork to apply because-" Sunset stopped to put a finger from each hand over the back of her head to create antenna "-am I techinally an alien,"

Twilight couldn't help but giggle a little at Sunset's playfulness which caused Sunset to let out a massive smile. She shuffled over a little, wrapping a arm around Twilights shoulders before giving them a little squeeze.

"I don't expect you to get over something like that overnight, I understand. But when you are good and ready to talk about this you know I'm all ears," Sunset spoke softly, giving Twilight a warm and caring stare. Twilight could only stare for a few moments before giving a small smile and nodding. Sunset turned her attention to the TV while Twilight continued to stare.

She has always found Sunset mesmerising. She was smart, funny, kind, caring, drop dead gorgeous, talented. It honestly shocked her how someone so perfect ever even acknowledged her, despite all the stuff she heard about Sunset before thet met. Whenever Twlight was upset or scared or frustrated, Sunset was there for her. Oh how she wished she could just be upfront about her feelings. There was never a good time so why not just be out with it?

"I can feel your eyes burning into the side of my head," Sunset commented causing Twilight to jump slightly. Sunset turned her head to look at her.

"If you want to tell me something just do so,"

Twilight felt herself frozen on the spot. She could only continue to stare at Sunset who remained paitent and quiet, waiting for the book worm to speak up.

"I...I uh..."

"Yes?"

Twilight just breathed in and let out a massive jumble of words
"IreallyreallylikeyouandIhaveforawhileandIknowyouwon'tlikemebacksothiswasreallystupid!"

Sunset could only stare with wide eyes before they softened and she let out a small chuckle, putting her arm across the back of the sofa.

"Took you long enough, Sparky,"

"...say what?" Twilight managed to spit out.

"I'm not stupid, Twi. And you-" Sunset stopped for a moment to boop Twilights nose while she grinned widely "-aren't very good at hiding crushes,"

"Then why didn't you say anything!" Twilight whined, pouting which only caused Sunset to drop her arm from off the back of the sofa and wrap around Twilight's shoulders.

"Becuase I didn't want to force you to admit something that you'd later on might not even feel anymore. I didn't say anything because it wasn't my place," Sunset explained and pulled Twilight closer, resting her head atop of the shorter girls "And just to clarify, I like you too,"

Twilight couldn't stop the huge smile that began to form on her lips as she snuggled into Sunset's side. Sunset kissed the top of Twilights head before leaning her head back.

"But lets talk more about this tomorrow okay? You've had a rough night,"

"Don't you mean we?"

"This is my job,Twi. There are no more rough nights for me when it comes to all that," Sunset replied before a loud yawn. Twilight frowned slightly at that but just pursed her lips and stood up. Streching her arms above her head, Twilight jumped slightly when she felt two arms snake their way around her waist and a pair of breasts press into her back.

"You have no idea-" Sunset began as she nuzzled Twilight's neck with a huge smile "-how long I've waited to hold you like this,"

"You're kidding," Twilight resorted, leaning back into Sunset's embrace with her own lips curling into a smile.

"Swear on my life that I speak the truth," Sunset chuckled. She blew some hot wind on Twilights ear before running off quickly. Twilight stood in disbelif before she began to laugh, chasing after the assassin

"C'mere, Sunset!"

"Are you sure I can borrow this?" Twilight asked, looking down at the hoodie she wore. It reached down to her thighs and the sleeves went way past hands causing them to flap around when she moved her arms. Sunset moved half of the duvet half way down the bed before looking over her shoulder with a small smile.

"Yes,Twi. Keep it even, it suits you better than me anyway," The firey haired assassin replied, sliding into bed first before patting the spot next to her to tell Twilight to join her. Twilight hesitated at first but walked over to the bed, removing her glasses before crawling onto it and up to Sunset, laying her head on her chest.

Sunset slipped a arm around the shorter girl while putting the other behind her head,sighing.

"Is something the matter?" Twilight asked, shifting slightly to look up at Sunset. Sunset bit her lip briefly.

"I'm just worried. Becuase of my job?" Sunset spoke, glancing down at Twilight "I just don't want you to ever get hurt,"

"I'll be extra careful. I don't want this to change anything, I have waited way to long for this and I am not going to wait any longer," Twilight whispered the last part, leaning up just enough to plant a small kiss on Sunset's lips. Sunset's eyes widened for a moment but she smirked soon after Twilight pulled away.

"My, my, Sparky. You are quite spontaneous when you want something. I kinda like it," Sunset purred, going in for another kiss but was stopped when Twilight placed at finger to the taller girls lips, smirking at her.

"Ah, ah. Since we are discussing everything tomorrow, you have to wait," Twilight winked, rolling onto her side with her back to Sunset. She could only hear the firey haired girl chuckle before sighing when Sunset wrapped her arms around her smaller frame.

"I can do that," Sunset whispered before closing her eyes, placing her chin lightly on Twilights head. Twilight let the biggest smile to date grace her lips before she finally drifted off to sleep.

Yeah this took way too long and is probably awful but I'll do my best to make it up in the next chapter!
