"Remeber what I said about being nice to Flash?" Twilight reminded Sunset as they walked up the front path towards the entrance of the school. Sunset looked over at briefly at Twilight while she was rubbing at the rest of the make up around her left eye that covered her scar to take it off before looking at the entrance again.

"And do you remeber what I said I would do to him if he even tries to be a cunt?"

"Language,Sunset!"

" 'language,Sunset' " Sunset mimiked mockingly while rolling her eyes back inside her head and stuck her tounge out,her face returning to normal after a few seconds "Fuck that guy,"

"Sunset have you noticed all you ever do is bitch?" Twilight asked with a very bored look on her face, Sunset just shooting her an 'excuse you' type look.

"I'll have you know I happen to bitch the perfect amount for someone in my situation," Sunset smiled sarcastically before opening the double doors of the school,holding one open for Twilight. Twilight sighed but couldnt help but let a small smile grace her lips.

"Well at least you still have your manners,"

"Only for you,Sparky," Sunset winked causing Twilight to go red slightly and playfully push Sunset,who just laughed. Once she stopped laughing,Sunset walked with Twilight to music class. They both entered the classroom and the first person to speak up was of course the one person she wanted to kill. Flash.

"Ugh look who it is!" He yelled loudly with a smug grin though she wasn't phased by him in the slightly,especially with a bandage going across his nose and a very noticable bruse "And look at her fake scar thinking she's hot shit!"

"Okay first off this scar is as real as they get and second of all I will destroy you-" Sunset stopped,taking a large step towards Flash,who took a couple of steps back while trying not to show his fear before Sunset contiuned.

"-my left fist will go down your throat,my right fist will go up your ass then I'll meet them in the middle and play your heart like a fucking accordion," Sunset finished with both fists raised,glaring at Flash before looking him up and down with a scowl "Now give me your coat,"

"This is a man's coat.." Flash replied,gripping the trench coat he was wearing as a pose to his normal jacket.

"Yeah but I don't see a man do I? I see a reject from the Sound of Music." Sunset commented and was about to make a move but Twilight gripped her arm. Sunset looked at Twilight with a raised eyebrow only to see Twilight shaking her head. Sunset's look softened when she looked at Twilight,sighing and backing off.

"I'm watching you,Sentry." Sunset snarled,giving Flash a cold glare before walking off to her seat while gripping the edge of her cardigan. Twilight shot Flash an apologetic look before quickly following Sunset to her seat which was next to Sunset's.

"What am I going to do with you?" Twilight spoke after about a minutes silence between the two.

"You're asking the wrong person,Twi. I don't know what I'm going to do with me anymore," Sunset responded,leaning on her hand while she watched the tech nerds set up the stage at the front of the hall that connect with the classroom for this lesson. Twilight gave Sunset a sad look and didn't say anything,just rested her head on Sunset's shoulder. Sunset's eyes shifted to look at Twilight before back to the front of the classroom/hall,a small smile forming on her lips.

"Okay class! I hope you have your songs ready to preform in front of the class today! We will be joined by the second half music class as well!" Miss Cheerliee spoke with a bright smile as she walked into the classroom/hall. She took a look around the room before her eyes stopped on Sunset "Sunset? Are you alright to preform?"

"Perfectly fine to preform,Miss. I'll even go first if you want," Sunset grinned while Twilight removed her head from her shoulder. Sunset was about to get up until Flash shot up from his seat with his guitar in hand.

"No,Miss! I'll go first." Flash said firmly,glaring at Sunset over his shoulder who just stuck her middle finger up at him with a sarcastic smile on her lips. Flash's head shot forward again,looking at Miss Cheerliee,who just looked really confused.

"Oh well uh...okay then,Flash. The stage is yours," She replied as Flash and his band stood up and waltzed onto the stage. As they were setting up Sunset leant over to Twilight.

"You know that whatever he sings he's gonna aim to towards you," Sunset spoke which just caused Twilight to groan.

"Oh joy. He can't take a hint can he?"

"Not even remotely,” Sunset shook her head before cupping her hands around her mouth to yell at Flash “C’mon dum-dum we haven’t got all day!”

Flash just shot her an irratated look while Twilight slapped her hand against her forehead.

“Damnit Sunset,” Twilight groaned in annoyance.

“What? Its not my fault he’s taking so long. Like god the Titanic sunk faster than he can set up,” Sunset commented,shrugging while she leant back in her chair. Twilight took a long, hard look at Sunset and frowned slightly. The girl she knew from the Friendship Games and when they went to Camp Everfree was fading away day by day and she didn’t want that to happen.

“Whats with the longing look in your eyes?” Sunset asked, her arms crossed as she looked to the side therfore at Twilight. Twilight paused for a moment before her eyes downcasted, rubbing her hands together in nervousness.

“I’m watching my friend fade away...and I mean the friend that I had during the end of the Friendship Games and during our trip to Camp Everfree. I can barely see her in you anymore and...I’m scared I’ll lose that girl...that friend forever only to be replaced with this disrespectable, grumpy assassin. It’s like...you’re turning into the old you...the one who told me about.” Twilight finished,continuing to look at her hands while trying to hide the tears that were forming around the brim of her eyes. Sunset just looked on in shock. She wanted to get mad at Twilight for even mentioning the old her but noticing the tears forming and just taking a few moments she realised..she was right. She slipped a hand to Twilights shoulder and offered a smile.

“Twi..I understand you are scared, I am too but no amount of killing and ass kicking is going turn me into the old me. I made a vow to Princess Twilight and to myself to never ever become that person again and I intend to keep that vow. So if for whatever reason you think you are losing me to someone you don’t recognise I want you to slap me. Hard. And make me remember my vow,” Sunset spoke quietly,raising her hands quickly in defence “Except don’t slap me now because that would draw attention to ourselves,”

Twilight just giggled and gave Sunset a side hug “Noted,”

Sunset was so zoned out in the moment she didn’t notice Flash standing in front of them until he took Twilight’s hand while he was singing. Sunset didn’t say anything but just watched the scene play out as Flash tried and failed horribly to woo Twilight. Sunset began to let out a snicker when Flash turned his back to walk back to the stage which resulted in Twilight punching Sunset gently in the shoulder although she couldn’t keep a straight face either.

“My god that was hard to watch,” Sunset whispered, shaking her head.

“At least you didn’t have to go through it,” Twilight shivered,sticking her tounge out to emphasise how grossed out she was. Flash’s song was finally over and his band and himself took their leave from the stage.

“Alright Sunset! You are up next!” Miss Cheerliee called out to which Sunset responded with a nod and a thumbs up.

“Wish me luck,”

“You don’t need it,Sunny,” Twilight spoke softly with a small but cute smile. Sunset felt herself go slightly red as the sight, clearing her throat before shooting a crooked smile Twilight’s way.

“T-thanks,Twi,” Sunset replied shakily before quickly walking off to the stage. Twilight leant back slightly in her chair before waving over to the rest of the girls who had just arrived.

“Oh my goodness we are so late..I told you stopping at the ice van would make us late, Rainbow Dash!” Rarity said with annoyence in her tone, glaring at the rainbow headed girl. Rainbow waved her off and jusy sat down in Sunset’s old seat.

“C’mon Rarity live a little won’tcha? Back me up here,Twilight,”

“Yeah this isn’t a petty arguement I want to be a part of. I’m going to get closer to the stage to see Sunset preform so feel free to join when you finish-” Twilight stopped and motioned to both girls “-whatever this is,”

Twilight walked over to the stage and was soon joined by Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie.

“Do y’all know what Sunsets gonna preform?” Applejack asked, standing next to Fluttershy with her arms crossed over her chest.

“I-I’d like to also know...” Fluttershy chimned in quietly.

“Oh! Oh! Me too! I bet its super duper awesome!” Pinkie said quickly with excitement,jumping up and down. Rainbow walked up to the stage from behind Pinkie and placed a hand on her head to get her to stop, Rarity following suit and standing next to Twilight.

“Unfortunatly I do not but I have faith she’ll do well,” Twilight smiled and that earnt a nod of agreence from evetyone. Everything was getting set up when Twilight over heard Flash.

“She’s totally gonna suck. She’s so out of whack and can never top my preformance,”

Twilight began to grind her teeth together but elected to keep her mouth shut as she thought that everyone would assume Sunset was rubbing off on her. Instead she let out a breath and turned her attention to the stage to see Sunset strolling up onto it, mic in hand. Sunset shot all the girls a smile before giving vinyl a thumbs up, Vinyl nodding in responce and starting up the track. Almost as instantly as the track started up people began to move their heads to the music, Twilight doing the same until Sunset started singing. Twilight's head shot up with her mouth slightly open in shock, the other girls sharing a similar look. Sunset's voice wasn't her normal singing voice. This voice was raspy, deep and...kinda sexy. Twilight shook her head to try and adapt to Sunset's new voice but almost lost it again at the chours.

I am a broken screen
I'm a mad routine
That's just patterned out
And I'm over it

Twilight watched in absolute awe at the performance. The moves Sunset did, the backing vocals she had obviously taken the time out of her time to pre-record, the way she kept her eyes on the audience, it all just astonished her. She glanced over her shoulder to see Flash with a massive frown on his face. He was fully aware that the crowd prefered Sunset and just that thought made her smirk,turning her head back to the stage. Sunset looked down and winked at Twilight which just cause the book worm to get red and return a shy smile. Twilight knew she needed to get this stupid blush thing under control.

"And I loved when you shot your middle finger at Flash! Oh, oh! And I also loved-" Sunset put a hand over Pinkie's mouth,rubbing her temples before smiling slightly.

"I get it, Pinkie you...really liked my preformance,"

"I must say, darling it was quite extraordinary. Everything about it was so unlike you but in such a way that was extremely enjoyable," Rarity spoke up, giving Sunset a bright smile.

"I gotta agree with Rares. It was a hoot an' a half,Sugarcube!" Applejack chimed in.

"Yeah it was totally awesome,bro!" Rainbow yelled in excitement, putting her fist out towards Sunset for a fist bump to which Sunset obliged happily.

"Thanks guys I'm glad you liked it. Honestly I was scared you guy would think it was weird or dumb because of...me acting up and all," Sunset spoke, rubbing the back of her neck in embaressment.

"We understand you are going through a rough time right now, dear. And when you are ready to talk about it with us we shall be all ears," Rarity said softly,slipping a hand to Sunset's shoulder and squeezing it gently. Sunset glanced to the fashionesta and couldn't help the smile that broke out.

"Thanks, Rarity..and all of you as well," Sunset spoke with pride before looking around with a raised eyebrow "Hey where Twi and Flutters?"

"Flutters as gardening club and Twilight said something about the library, I dunno I wasn't pay attention cause the words library and study were mentioned," Rainbow replied, sticking her tounge out in disgust when she finished.

"You know Dash it wouldn't kill you to study. All those soccer balls to the noggin have probably knocked your brain out of your head," Sunset said with a small smirk, looking away slightly "It would actually explain alot,"

The whole group started to snicker among themselves expect Rainbow, who just glared at Sunset.

"Listen, Shimmer I will destroy you!" Rainbow yelled in defence,pointing a finger at Sunset. Sunset raised an eyebrow and took a step forward, towering over the shorter girl while her eyes narrowed slightly, the smirk still on her lips.

"Try me, Short stack," Sunset challenged. Rainbow blinked before slowly lowering her hand and running a hand through her hair.

"Ah well you know now isn't a good time for me..so so busy ya know,"

"How convenient," Sunset commented with a chuckle before turning her back to the girls "Anyhow I'm gonna go find Twi. See ya!"

Twilight was sat down at one of the tables at the very back of the library, reading over some equation until a pair of hands covered her eyes.

"Guess who?" The voice whispered in her ear. Twilight reached up to gently pry the hands away from her eyes, grinning.

"Oh no I could never guess. Hm..Sunset?"

"Congratulations. You win a prize!" Sunset beamed,lowering one hand to her side and using the other to lean on the table. Twilight looked up at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh? And what is my prize?"

"A lovely motorcycle ride to thou's apartment for a movie night with your dearest, Sunset Shimmer," Sunset spoke in an old english accent and giving a little bow too which caused Twilight to giggle. Sunset tried to keep her cool at that. She swore that girls laugh was her Achilles heel.

"That sounds wonderful. Let me just check with my parents but I'm sure they won't mind, they love you,"

"Can't blame them, what's not to love?"

"I could answer that question but I'm gonna pass," Twilight said sarcasticlly, grinning from ear to ear while Sunset had a fake shocked look on her face. Sinking to the floor, Sunset put the back of her hand on her forehead and closed her eyes while dramtically saying

"Oh Twilight how you hurt me so! Why must you be this way to yours truly?"

"Fine, Fine!" Twilight laughed as quietly as she could in the libary "You are my families lord and saviour and we would be oh so lost without you,"

"Damn straight!" Sunset grinned, standing up and wrapping an arm around Twilight's shoulders. Twilight only nudged Sunset and chuckled.

"I checked with my parents and they are fine with me going to yours,"

"Awesome," Sunset smiled briefly before turning her back to Twilight,moving her hair so that it rested over her right shoulder,revealing a symbol on the back of her neck. Twilight glanced up and noticed it,her eyes widening slightly.

"Sunset?"

"Yeah?"

"Whats-" Twilight stopped,looking around before lowering her voice "Whats that on the back of your neck?"

Sunset froze and reached a hand around to feel the the rough patch of skin that stuck out.

"Fuck..." Sunset groaned,quickly covering it up with her hair again. She darted her head around and took a seat right next to Twilight.

"Its the mark of the assassins," Sunset whispered as quietly as she could so that nobody but Twilight heard.

"That...looked like it hurt,"

"It did. Alot. It got burnt into my skin,"

"..why?"

"They thought it held more value than a tattoo. Tattoos fade but this remains forever. Its basically part of me now," Sunset explained,rubbing her temples as she realised it was stupider said out loud. Twilight slowly reached under Sunset's hair and touched the burnt spot. Sunset fliched but let her continue. It was bumpy like a scar that hadn't healed properly and was tougher than the rest of her skin. Twilight could feel her stomach churn at the feeling of it, taking her hand away. Twilight turned to look at Sunset only to be face to face with the other girl. Twilight's eyes widened as she noticed how close Sunset was, causing her face to go bright red.

"You okay,Twi? You've gone red. Are you coming down with a fever?" Sunset asked with concern in her voice, placing a hand to Twilight's forehead. Twilight took a sharp intake of breath and moved away quickly, spinning on her heel so her back was Sunset.

"I-I'm fine! Lets just g-go to yours now!" Twilight said quickly, speed walking out of the libary. If question marks appeared above your head in real life Sunset was sure she'd have multiple right now. Shaking her head she picked up her backpack and Twilight's, as she'd run off without it, and left the libary.

This was going to be a long day.

Okay so this took too long to update 😅. My laptop broke and I had to get it fixed and then I kept losing inspiration, you get the idea. But anyhow I hope you enjoy this chapter!!
