Unexpected Circumstances

I sighed heavily, today was the day. The day me and Gavin attend the Cosplay while dressed in our hand-made Felix and Locus outfits. I just wished that I had focused less on the weapons and more on the armour itself, now I'm missing the helmet. The best fucking part. I chuckled at my foolishness and stood up, getting the false gun, grenades, knives and alien sword. Like I said, I put to much time into them.

I was completely ready, my armour was on, my false weapons were strapped and I had packed some money. All I had to do was wait until Gavin shows up. I stared at myself I the mirror, liking the black and orange striped armour. It made me look like a freakin' badass! Of course it would though, after all it was used by my favourite antagonist; Felix.

I heard a knocking at my door and smirked as I walked towards it. When I opened I saw my friend in Locus' armour, complete with the black and green colouring.

"You missing your helmet." Observed Gavin, "Better go get it."

"I didn't finish it." I replied shrugging.

"How? That was the main part of the costume!" Said Gavin, his face underneath the mask must have been hilarious!

"I know but I wanted to make the weapons before I finished up the armour." I shrugged again. "Yet it took longer than I anticipated."

Gavin sighed, "Only you, David..."

I chuckled and walked out the house, locking the door behind me. Then as I started walking with him, I noticed something.

"Where's the sniper rifle?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It isn't completed because I, unlike some people, know what my priorities are." Said Gavin with pride in his voice.

"Oh yes, going to a Cosplay with your best friend is defiantly a priority." I said, rolling my eyes.

He just shrugged. "More productive than sitting on a computer."

I smirked at that, "I guess you're right."

The rest of our walk was in silence, apart from the usual snarky comment we made to one another. Eventually we got there.

"About time!" I shouted, completely bored and out of energy.

"It was only twenty minutes." Said Gavin with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"Shut up!" I barked at him, embarrassed of myself. "Not my fault I'm so impatient..."

"That? I was talking about how out of shape you are." Said Gavin with a chuckled.

"Oh....wait a second! I'm not out of sh-"

"You two!" Shouted a strange voice from behind us, "Over here!"

Me and Gavin turned around to see a fat man standing at a store, smiling weirdly and pointing to us. "I have just what you need!"

I rolled my eyes, "Unless you have a Felix helmet or a sniper rifle then you can't really help us."

"Well, if has a exercising program on sale then he might be of some use," Said Gavin with a grin, "To you of course."

"Oh ha ha!" I said sarcastically, giving Gavin the middle finger.

"Actually I have all three of those things!" Said the fat man, as he comically showed us a Felix helmet, a toy sniper rifle and a training dvd set.

Gavin exploded with laughter, clutching his sides as he fell to the floor.

I on the other hand was staring at the helmet with shock on my face. "I need that helmet - now." A small part of me said that this was not a good idea, telling me about how it was strange for him to have everything that we need - minus the dvd of course.

"Then you can have it - for the limited price of one pound fifty!" Shouted the man happily.

That was so cheap and good. I completely disregarded the little voice in the back of my head and instantly pulled out my wallet and gave him a five pound note.

"Here's your change!" He said happily, giving me the helmet and my change. "What about the sniper rifle? You want that?"

Gavin, who had just recovered from the laughter, nodded his head, "How much?"

"One pound fifty!" Came the reply. Gavin shrugged and handed him the money in coins. "Thank you, you won't be coming again."

As I put the helmet on I raised my eyebrow, "Why not? This shop seems great...no matter how creepy you are."

"Don't know if I should feel flattered or not, but regardless you are now being sent to another dimension." Announced the merchant.

"Wait...wha-" Before I could finish I collapsed to the floor and saw nothing but black.

The first thing I felt was warm, in fact I felt like a sweatbox. Second thing I felt was something soft underneath my hand, it felt like grass. I started to open my eyes and the first thing I saw was a bright blue sky, with gigantic tree's blocking out the sunlight. I realised that I was in some sort of armour. Why?

It all clicked. I remembered now, the Cosplay, the creepy fucker that gave us the helmet's and then....blackness. I attempted to stand my feet, and after a thousand groans of agony I was able to stand up.

'Where am I?' I thought to myself as I observed my surroundings, after seeing nothing but an endless stream of tree's, I turned around and saw even more tree's....just this time Gavin was slumped in front of one - asleep and in his Locus suit. I then noticed something even more alarming - weapons.

A sniper rifle was on his back and three or so grenades were on his belt. I checked myself and found the exact same things, just with an assault rifle instead of a sniper. Then my hand touched something sharp. No fucking way. I had knives and alongside them - I had the alien sword.

I almost fainted on the spot when I saw it. Yet by sheer willpower alone I was still standing and conscious. I looked at my friend and shook him.

"Wake up," I said, scaring myself when I realised something was wrong.....that was Felix's voice! "W-what the hell?"

I shook of the confusion and shock when I saw that Louc- I mean, Gavin was stirring. "What t-the fu..fuck...?"

I almost recoiled when I heard Locus' voice coming from him. This was wrong. So fucking wrong! Yet....it also felt right. Well, feelings aside, better help him.

I pulled him up to help him stand, "You okay?"

"D-David?" Asked Gavin in disbelief and shock.

"Yeah it's me." I responded, while nodding. "That fat-ass creep sent us somewhere in a forest. I swear I'm gonna kick his ass!"

"Wait a second...didn't he say that we would be in another universe?" Asked Gavin with fear and realization in his voice.

"He must be kidding....there's no way that is possible!" I shouted, not wanting to believe it. The desperation was so evident in my voice.

"It is. It has to be. We have real weapons. Real armour. As much as we know we could be in the RVB universe, the RWBY universe any universe! We have no clue where we are!" The more he continued the more fear was rising in him.

I looked down at the ground as dread swallowed me....we we're doomed. We don't know where we are. We don't know what threat lies out there and even if we did we don't know how to fight it. No....I won't just sit back and give up.

"We still have each other, right?" I said as I held out my hand, which he put his hand in. "We'll get through this. We're friends. We're brothers."

"Yeah..." Muttered Gavin, "We are. No planet or universe will ever change that!"

I nodded a grin on my face underneath the helmet. "You're goddamn right!"

With no warning at all, Gavin pulled me in for a hug. I gladly accepted the embrace. We stayed like that for a while. However, when we pulled away we heard a squeal.

We quickly turned, weapons automatically drawn as if our bodies were acting on their own. We dropped our weapons in surprise.

A yellow horse with wings was standing there, hiding her face behind a long pink mane.

"What the fuck?"
