My Destiny

My eyes slowly opened, I was in my bed. How did I get here? I looked up to see my older brother Sky Stinger, and his girlfriend, Vapor Trail. They both have worried expressions on their faces. " What happened?" My voice is soft and weak. I turn just a bit, and a sharp pain comes from my wing."Oww! My wing!"

My brother puts another pillow behind me, so I can sit up properly. " I thought you were gone." He said, his voice was sad, but trying to be happy. His light blue eyes look at me, more worried expression.

"Really, is this some get-up? What happened to my wing!" I ask demandingly.

" No, Ocean breeze," Vapor Trail's voice was soft, trying to calm me."You had a crash landing, and your wing - it is broken."

It only angers me more."What! Why aren't I at the hospital then?"

My brother looks at Vapor Trail. Their eyes are the same pretty color I wish I had. Again they exchange worried glances.

"Go on, tell her the truth."

"Ocean, you know why I joined the Wonderbolts, right?" I shake my head."Mom and Dad work very hard, to raise all of us, but they have very little money left over. So, I knowing my true talent, signed up for the Wonderbolts-"

"Technically, it wasn't just your talent to start off with." Vapor Trail cut in.

"True, anyways, I get maybe 10 bits a week, and that isn't enough. You see, we simply do not have enough money to go to the hospital. I'm sorry, Ocean Breeze."

I was in disbelief. Sure, I knew that Christmas was always a little tight since Blooming Bouquet was born, my sister three years younger than me, but we didn't have enough money to go get an x-ray and a cast?

"You should get some rest, Ocean," Sky told me.

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"At the market." Vapor said. She looked at my clock."Oh, geez, I'm sorry guys! I promised Rainbow Dash I would be at the Acadamy to teach some tricks. If I don't leave know, I will be late. Hope your wing gets better, Ocean." Vapor Tail flew out of my room, through the window.

"I am going to go get some snacks." Sky said. He left the room.

My eyes were getting tired, from all the excitement I had Within the last 30 minutes. I really hoped this was just a dream. I fell asleep reasoning to myself that this was just one big prank.
