Snake Vs Wolf

We now return to the Transformers...

Sunset Shimmer and Weirdwolf jumped through a Groundbridge portal and found themselves back in the Nevada desert once again, just hiding behind several rocks. Peeking their heads up to look, they could see the entrance to the mountain base just up ahead, and there were a group of Cybertronians approaching the door. Several of them were Vehicon troopers, and the last one was a giant orange and white snake slithering along the sand, and wrapped up behind it, held in its clutches was Rainbow Dash who looked terrified.

"Rainbow..." Sunset gasped.

Weirdwolf growled. "And there's Vertebreak. What could he possibly gain by holding her for a ransom?"

"I don't know. But we've got to get closer to them and find out. If I recall, he said he was going back to our base to negotiate her return."

"You're not going to give in to any of his demands are you? Vertebreak isn't one to negotiate." Weirdwolf asked.

"Hardly. But we've got to find a way to get Rainbow back without getting her in danger."

"Then I suggest we make haste and stay close." Weirdwolf said, slowly transforming into vehicular mode. Sunset's truck mode transformed as well, and the two of them slowly moved from behind the rocks as they tried to stay close right behind them.

Inside the mountain base, the Autobots and the girls all stood around ready with their weapons out in case Vertebreak decided to make a move. He slithered and hissed as he pulled up onto their metal floor while the Vehicons stood on guard.

"Let her go, now." Applejack huffed.

Vertebreak chuckled. "I'm afraid not. Not until I get something in return..."

"What do you even want?" Sideswipe asked slamming his fists together.

"Its quite simple... you."

Everyone's eyes bulged.

"Him!?"

"Me!?" Sideswipe gasped. "Why!?"

Rainbow struggled to get free. "Don't listen to him Sideswipe, its--AGH!" Rainbow groaned as Vertebreak's grip tightened around her.

"When you and your friends entered that tunnels, I watched as you battled some of my guards. Your human friends all make excellent specimens, but you on the other hand..." Vertebreak hissed. "You're agile, quick, stealthy... everything that an Autobot should be. Compared to you... I'm no one."

Sideswipe snarled. "Get to the point. What do you want?"

Vertebreak chuckled. "Your body."

Sideswipe blinked. "Ooookkay... this is just getting disturbing."

"I'll break it down. My experiments have been going remarkably well, and I need a test subject for a new method of surgery. Specifically... my head on your body."

The Vehicons all raised their guns up while the Autobots raised their own.

"Now, now, lets not get too hasty... My only wish out of this is to further the discoveries of science. Imagine how much good we can do for the benefit of Cybertron. Every Cybertronian who receives decapitation in the war can get a new body like they just came off the assembly line!"

The guns pointed to Sideswipe as Vertebreak hissed.

"So, what's it going to be?" Vertebreak asked.

Sideswipe sneered. "I'll give myself to you... after you give Rainbow back first."

Vertebreak let out another hiss. "Now that wouldn't be fair would it?"

"No, its not. But it wouldn't be fair if you did the same thing." A cold voice spoke.

Vertebreak's eyes widened and his entire head spun around to look behind him. Standing was Sunset Shimmer and Weirdwolf with angry looks. Vertebreak could only let out a maniacal laughter.

"Weirdwolf! After all of these years, I never thought I'd run into you again." The Snaketicon said, turning around.

"I'm only going to say this once. Let the human go, now."

"Why should I? What have these humans ever done for you? You are a Decepticon."

Weirdwolf snarled and his claws sharpened. "These humans have given me a reason to stay on this planet! And if you don't let her go now, I will make you sorry. Especially after the way you treated me when you used my own brother against me..."

"He wasn't even your brother!"

"You don't understand my meaning. He may not have been born from the same forge as I was, but we are brothers in the same species. He was the closest thing I had to a real friend, and you took him away from me!"

Vertebreak snarled. "Very well then!"

Vertebreak turned his entire body around and he began moving like a slithering snake. He was ready to fight. Weirdwolf was too.

Instantly, the wolf's claws sharpened again and he began to move in a circular motion, still keeping his eyes locked on to the snake. Vertebreak moved in a similar motion. Both Decepticons just moved in a circle, facing one another with gritting teeth and hisses.

"Isn't there something we can do?" Sideswipe asked.

"Like what? We can't hurt Rainbow!" Applejack asked.

Vertebreak snarled and attempted a slithering strike by lunging forward, but Weirdwolf jumped out of the way and landed on all fours, snarling and with his tail arched up.

"You know for a Decepticon, your canine structure is absolutely fascinating." Vertebreak spoke as he looked all over Weirdwolf's form. "You'd make one excellent specimen at the science fair."

"I am no one's science experiment!"

Vertebreak made a swing with his tail which knocked the Decepticon Hunter out of Weirdwolf's claw. Weirdwolf snarled, but instead of going for his weapon. He instead began to move around on all fours like a wolf, snarling and growling and with his tail arched up.

Once again, they circled around each other while the Autobots could only stay back and watch. They couldn't interfere with their fight.

Thankfully in the midst of their fight, Weirdwolf finally made some moves. His tail went swinging at Vertebreak's face, slapping him constantly. Weirdwolf kept making turns to the left and right, throwing hard slaps to try and knock him down. But he still wouldn't let go.

Growling, he pounced on Vertebreak and managed to throw the two of them outside in the dark desert where the starry night shinned over the barren desert. Weirdwolf backed up, and performed another jump, body-slamming onto the stomach of Vertebreak making him yell in pain, finally letting go of his grip on Rainbow Dash.

With her free, she quickly ran as far away from the snake as possible but was stopped by a few Vehicons who pointed guns at her. Hearing the cocks of their arm, Weirdwolf's ear twitched and he turned himself and jumped in front of her, using his own body a shield from their lasers.

Once the Vehicons stopped shooting, Weirdwolf turned himself around and swung his tail around throwing all of the Vehicons down on the ground. Rainbow was shocked.

"You just... saved me?"

"Hang on!"

Weirdwolf grabbed her and quickly transformed into vehicle mode, swerving away from the Snaketicon and turned around to watch as he pulled himself back up.

"I'm dropping you off here. You'll be safer far from that wretched madman."

The door opened up and Rainbow Dash was pushed out as she fell on her back, thankfully on soft sand.

"Sorry!"

Weirdwolf sped forward to the down Snaketicon and transformed, performing a jump into the air and tackling him again. Once he was focused, the girls and the Autobots all stepped outside to get a better view on the action. And the girls all rejoiced, holding Rainbow in a warm embrace, happy to see her safe and alive.

"Thank goodness you're alive! That creature didn't hurt you, did he?" Rarity asked.

"No, he didn't. I'm fine. All he did was just constantly running scans on me. I think its a good bet that he probably knows we have magic." Rainbow quivered.

"At least you're alright." Applejack smiled, giving her another hug.

"Uh... is he about to..." Pinkie pointed.

The girls turned around to look. Weirdwolf had raised a claw up with the talons sharpened.

"Wait, no, no, no!"

Weirdwolf's talon shot down right onto the snake body, but none of them could see it. They could only imagine he was digging into Vertebreak's skin, tearing the metal off, trying to find his spark and crush it. All of them could only cringe and hold back shrieks to watch the horror.

They listened carefully, and from what they could hear, Weirdwolf was panting. And he was making any more slices. His hands were in front of himself but the girls couldn't see why. He turned around, and he offered a friendly smile. As his entire body turned around, he revealed what was in his hands.

A small metallic orb covered in gray with a few glows of orange neon. The girls didn't understand what he was holding, but they heard Sideswipe let out a gasp.

"I-Is that..." Sideswipe pointed to the orb in his hands.

Weirdwolf nodded with a friendly smile. The girls quickly caught on.

"You dug out his transformation cog?" Rainbow gasped. "Why?"

"I remember what Sunset told me about the dilemma you had with him earlier today. Said something about a stolen transformation cog. So... I decided to pull it out of him and take it back to its proper owner. I believe it belongs to you?" Weirdwolf held his hands up, offering it to Sideswipe.

"I... You..."

"I don't even know what to say!" Rainbow gasped.

Weirdwolf was about to reply, but instead he was met with Rainbow Dash giving her a surprise hug, trying to wrap her arms around him as best as she could. Weirdwolf was startled at first, but instead he just simply carefully put the cog down and wrapped his arms around her giving her a hug in return. His tail wagged back and forth, makign the others give kind smiles.

"Thank you." Rainbow whispered.

Weirdwolf smiled. "Its not a problem... Rainbow Dash."

The girls all felt a bit of relief. For about 2 seconds.

Behind the hugging embrace was Vertebreak who was snarling in anger, enraged in fact. His teeth grit, his eyes were now daggers and he was moving a lot quicker towards them as best as possible.

"Behind you!" Pinkie cried.

Weirdwolf's ears twitched, hearing the sound of a slithering snake approaching. Carefully turning around and holding Rainbow close so Vertebreak couldn't get his hands or tail on her.

"You were always interfering with my work, destroying my experiments, and making my life difficult! Well, I'm not playing games anymore, I'm ending this here and now!" Vertebreak snapped, raising himself up to be even taller than before.

Weirdwolf held Rainbow Dash closer to him, ready to protect her. He was not about to let Vertebreak hurt a human again.

But before anything could be said or done, the sound of little wheels rolling was creeping up behind the wolf, and they turned around to see the orange Mini-con rolling up and standing in front of the two of them.

"You will have to face me first before you can get to them!" Fixit yelled loud and proud.

"Fixit, what are you doing!? He's going to kill you!" Rainbow panicked.

"Maybe so, but it is my duty as caretaker of the Alchemor to handle the prisoners." Fixit turned his head back with a sneer. Then he raised his tiny hands up like he was ready to fight. "Stand clown, stand brown--" Fixit smacked his chest. "--stand down, right now!"

Vertebreak smirked. "What good can a little Mini-con do to me?"

Fixit sneered again, only this time he was ready. The orange arms suddenly began to transform and change shape, whipping out his tools. Only these weren't any repair tools. His right arm whipped out a three barreled laser gun, and his left arm employed a small cannon. From behind his back, two little rocket launchers slided out, both were armed and ready to shoot.

"Surrender now, or I will shoot!"

Vertebreak only wriggled up some more, until Fixit decided to shoot. Fixit's right arm fired triple the laser rounds at Vertebreak who was thrown back from the blasts, and was showered even more.

Fixit cocked his guns up some more and he smiled at his victory. Everyone else on the other hand were all staring in shock.

"Uh Fixit? How long have you had those things in you?" Rainbow asked.

"Over 200,000 stellar-cycles." Fixit proudly replied.

Vertebreak yelled some more and pulled himself up in anger, starring at his enemies. But his eyes shrunk when he noticed the numbers increase. The other Autobots had all gotten outside with loaded weapons, and they were standing by with Fixit, Rainbow Dash and Weirdwolf. Now everyone was ready to take him on.

The odds were against him, and there was nothing he could do. No guns, wounded body, nothing he could do.

"This isn't over Autobots! I may have a minor setback, but my revenge will be nothing compared to what you will imagine I've set for you Rainbow Dash!"

No other choice, Vertebreak jumped up and dived into the sand, burrowing through, making his escape, with only his tail being the last thing they ever saw of him. The Vehicons on the other hand had no other choice but to transform, and drive away in fear. They weren't gonna stick around for what the Autobots had planned to do to them.

Everyone watched as they left, Weirdwolf giving an angry snarl as they escaped.

"Easy boy, easy..." Sunset calmly said in her exo-suit, scratching the back of his ears calming him down, and making his tail wag again.

"So... you think we'll see them again?" Applejack asked, sneering brow.

Weirdwolf now focused again, gave a serious face as he watched the Vehicons run away.

"I have a feeling he will return up someday. It may not be tonight or tomorrow... but I can tell he will return."
