Greetings Sister
We now return to the Transformers...
Sunset stood near her motorcycle, pacing back and forth waiting for the girls to pick up. What was taking them so long? This was urgent news that needed to be addressed.
"Come on... come on... if I don't get going soon, that Decepticon will be gone..." Sunset said sounding desperate.
A few seconds went by, and eventually the girls began to pick up.
"Sunset? What's wrong?" Twilight said on the other line.
"Darling, did you find Vertebreak?" Rarity asked.
"No, I didn't. But there's something you should know. Transmit this to the others," Sunset said.
"I've already sending it, continue."
Throughout the city, the girls and the Autobots all stopped what they were doing to listen to Sunset's message.
"I thought I saw Vertebreak down an alleyway but it turns out I was wrong. I think there's a chance I've found another Decepticon fugitive. The only clues I have are yellow eyes, and a long bushy tail like a wolf. I believe this Decepticon has canine-like features. I'm going to check out the signal of where he's gone, tell Fixit to look in the prisoner manifest for any Decepticon with canine features."
"Already on it Sunset. Go on ahead, we'll keep our search up for Vertebreak," Twilight said on the other line.
"Okay. Sunset out," Sunset finished.
Sunset hopped onto her bike and put her helmet on. Holding the handlebars, she revved the engine and she took off down the street, heading for the signal. And she had to move fast, she already wasted time telling the others what was going on, she had to find him now!
Sunset rode on her motorcycle throughout Canterlot City, eventually making her way onto another road leading straight through to the Everfree forest. She never stopped her bike nor herself from going there. She couldn't deviate from her path now, if she wanted to find that fugitive, she had to find him now. For all she knew, he could have been long gone or lost the signal.
Looking ahead, she stopped her motorcycle as it performed a drifting move along the gravel. The Everfree forest was right in front of her. She made it to her destination.
Her motorcycle converted itself into its robotic suit, and she flew up into the air and her suit converted into the head unit, snapping onto the body. Now having control of her suit, she began running into the Everfree forest, looking for the Decepticon. Unsure of where to start, she pulled out a console that could be held in her suit's hands and looked around on the screen. The signal wasn't there anymore. It was gone.
"Wait... how can the signal be gone?"
With no signal, she put the console away and looked down on the ground. There were giant footprints in the ground. Someone was walking here. And these were bigger than her feet.
I've got you now, Sunset thought. She began to follow the footsteps, deeper into the lively forest. So far it just looked the Decepticon kept on walking. It didn't obliterate any of these trees or destroy any of the land. But why? Decepticons despised Earth, why wouldn't he destroy these woods?
She stopped walking when she saw a big truck laying on its side in front of her, with an assortment of chains cut clean from the end of it. There were also several dents made into the side of the truck, along with the tires being blown out and turned into nothing but shredded rubber.
She bent down to take a look at the ruins of the truck, observing how they were taken out. The Decepticon clearly made the attack, but why did he steel some chains?
She stepped back up on her feet again, and continued to walk into the woods searching for the Decepticon.
Airachnid was unconscious for the longest time, completely knocked out. She didn't know what was going on around her, nor knew what that Decepticon hound was planning.
Her eyes slowly opened up, adjusting to the light and groaned in pain. And in her view on his knees was the Decepticon beast that attacked her before. Once her eyes opened up all the way, she was met with a chuckle from him.
"You clearly do not understand my meaning. I'm not here to attack or kill you. In fact, I want to help you sister. I'm sorry I attacked. I didn't know what you were going to do," Weirdwolf said adjusting the way he sat, "Look, yes, its true. I am a Decepticon like you, but I'm not like you. I don't want to take over this world for myself. I want to live here in peace, I've changed."
Airachnid snarled, "Changed into what? An Autobot?"
"I'm no Autobot," the wolverine snarled. "I may not be sided with them, but I still don't want this planet destroyed. And if it means having to restrain you like I've done, then so be it."
Airachnid looked down and saw her body covered in chains, along with her arms behind her back, and around her legs. To make matters worse, she felt pain near her thigh, and saw some blue liquid leaking from her side from a big cut.
"I apologize for my actions. Biting you wasn't my intention, but you gave me no choice," Weirdwolf said with sympathy.
Airachnid only growled some more, "When I get free I'm going to tear you apart!"
Weirdwolf smirked, "I wouldn't advise it sister. I'm much larger than your own size and I'm a lot stronger. Or are you unaware of my previous crimes?"
Airachnid said nothing else, but chose to be silent.
"Now, seeing how you aren't going to be going anywhere, I think now I can go about my own business. Now if I can just find someone else who shares my same views..." Weirdwolf said scratching his chin.
"Another Decepticon. Glad to see there are still some bots who aren't dead", Sunset interrupted.
She stepped from the side of the tree, staying underneath the darkness, her power suit's life blood glowing on the outside, along with her eyes glowing.
Shocked, he turned himself around quickly to see who it was that spoke to him. He stared closely towards Sunset, blinking a few times trying to make sure he wasn't blind. Was his vision off? Was there another Decepticon in his eyes? He turned himself around to get a closer look and saw the Decepticon logo on her chest. Another Decepticon, what a stroke of luck! Maybe this one was more nice than the one that was currently tied up.
"Greetings sister, I'm Weirdwolf. And you are?" Weirdwolf said.
Sunset froze. She hadn't even thought of a fake name, "Oh, I'm... Flame... wheels."
Weirdwolf chuckled, "I'm glad to see you are free, Flamewheels. Please, step into the light and join me. I wish to see who you are."
Sunset wasn't sure how to respond. On one hand, Airachnid could easily pick her out from her real identity, but on the other hand, this Decepticon doesn't even know anything about her yet. She could easily pass herself off as another Decepticon. And who knows, maybe she could get some information from him...
"Don't be shy sister. I'm not going to harm you," Weirdwolf said.
Sunset gulped. Well, no backing down now.
She walked forward slowly, exposing herself in the daylight, revealing her form to the Decepticon canine. Weirdwolf just simply smiled to the 'Decepticon' in front of her.
"Its a pleasure to meet you milady," Weirdwolf said taking a step forward and taking her hand. He took Sunset’s hand and pulled her in, dipping her back slightly and kissing her hand.
"Apologies for the sudden alarm, this is the way I give my greetings to the ladies," Weirdwolf said.
Sunset felt herself blushing inside of the head unit, but luckily it wasn't visible for the Decepticon to see.
"Oh, uh, o-okay..." Sunset stammered. She cleared her throat, "So... what are you doing here? And...", Sunset turned her head to look at the Decepticon logos that were clawed out on his shoulders, "What happened to your marks... brother?"
Weirdwolf tilted his left shoulder in front of him, giving Sunset a good view of his faded emblem.
"I destroyed it. And its tracking mechanism," Weirdwolf began before standing up straight again. "The Autobots mustn't capture me before I can prove to them that I have reformed, and I want to live here on this planet, in peace. As I'm sure you do too?"
Sunset couldn't believe what was coming from this canine.
"Uh, me? No, no, I wouldn't give up being a Decepticon, b-besides, I hate the Autobots. T-They locked me up in the ship in the first place along with you! Am I right?"
Weirdwolf continued to smirk, and he kept his calm composure, "True as that may be... I can't blame them for locking me up in that ship. With the crimes that I have committed and the actions that I've done, I can't blame them for being mad and wanting me locked up. But... despite of being locked up on that ship, I wish to make up for my actions and live a new life here on this world."
Sunset's suit raised a brow, as made from the controls inside of the head unit.
"You would rather live here, than on Cybertron?" Sunset asked.
Weirdwolf sighed, "I suppose it is rather ridiculous. But I can never go back to Cybertron. I'd be locked up again just the way the Autobots jailed me before I can explain any of my actions."
Sunset didn't say a word, but instead listened to what he had to say.
The Decepticon huffed, "Why am I even trying? The Autobots won't listen to me, especially after bailing from the Alchemor. And I wouldn't expect a Decepticon to understand how I feel."
"Actually... I do." Sunset said.
"Really?" Weirdwolf's ear twitched as he listened to Sunset. "Do you even know what its like to be blinded for years, to go down a path of darkness and hatred, only to find yourself having been on the wrong side and wanting to redeem yourself but no one would even give you the dime or the day to do so!?"
Sunset wasn't fazed by Weirdwolf's yell, but instead, her mask flipped down and a small smile was emoted on her head unit's face.
"I know how you feel Weirdwolf. And I know how it feels to want to redeem yourself but no one will give you the chance to do so."
Weirdwolf looked back to Sunset's head unit and offered a weak smile in return. This girl knew how he felt? Maybe there was some hope after all.
"You really do?" Weirdwolf asked.
Sunset nodded, "Well back at, ahem, on Cybertron, I did some really horrible things. Things I was ashamed of. Things I wish I never have done. But one day, someone showed me the light. She offered me a chance of redemption, a chance to make up for everything I've done. And because of her, I've found myself a way to try and make a new life for myself. But... I ended up being locked up on the Alchemor before I could make any apologies to anyone."
Weirdwolf still smiled, and he patted the wheeled shoulder of Sunset's motorcycle suit.
"I didn't know there were other Decepticons who felt the same way," Weirdwolf grinned, "Tell me more about yourself... Flamewheels. How were you captured?"
"How was I... captured?" Sunset drew a blank, she didn't even think of a cover story to tell the Decepticon. "Well I... its kind of embarrassing... I accidentally caused some property damage, and I assaulted an officer who got a little handsy over my body, trying to find weapons on me."
Weirdwolf stifled a chuckle, "Now, now, that isn't anything compared to my crimes. But getting back to the topic at hand, if you want to redeem yourself just like I do, how exactly can we do that? The Autobots won't want to listen to someone who wears this--" Weirdwolf said pointing to his Decepticon logos.
"Well I guess its a good thing you're talking to someone who wears this," Sunset said. Before Weirdwolf could respond, the sound of clanking metal and gears turning was heard as the Decepticon logo on her chest adjusted and flipped itself around, revealing an Autobot logo instead. Weirdwolf's eyes widened as he saw the mark on her chest.
"Y-You're... Y-You..."
Sunset giggled, "Its okay. I'm not going to turn you in. If you want to make up for your actions on Cybertron and live here on Earth in peace, then I'll give you a chance to prove yourself. Everyone's worthy of redemption, and I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt."
Weirdwolf felt a smile creep up on his face and his spark warm up. This was really happening?
"I... I don't know what to say..." Weirdwolf said.
Sunset smiled inside of her head unit and she pulled Weirdwolf in and gave him a hug, catching him by surprise. He had no idea what she was doing.
"Um... what are you doing?"
Sunset pulled back, "You never had a hug before?"
"I'm going to say no, and I don't know what that is."
"Oh. Well, here on this planet, its a custom done by the humans as a way to show some appreciation towards one another, or sometimes whenever someone needs comfort in times of pain," Sunset explained.
Weirdwolf's ears twitched, "I see..."
Sunset smiled, "Come on. I'll take you to my friends. We can all work out a plan to discuss your probation."
Sunset's suit transformed into its motorcycle form, and the head unit flew into the air bending its shape back into her real body covered in the fighting suit. Looking back, she saw Airachnid still struggling to get free.
"Wait... what do we do with Airachnid?" Sunset asked.
"Airachnid won't be able to get out of her restraints. The chains are too strong for her build. Now can we get going? I'm a little interested in meeting your friends."
Sunset smiled in her helmet even though the Decepticon couldn't see it. Simply, she gave a nod, getting the canine to smile.
Weirdwolf's body transformed into the vehicular form that he had scanned not too long ago. When the final piece of his body had folded together into his vehicle form, the two vehicles let out a mighty roar from their engines and they kicked up a cloud of dirt and dust behind them and fled the woods.
Airachnid just sat and watched as they left the woods without leaving a trace behind, except for the skidmarks that were made into the dirt they kicked up. Instead, she just smirked as she watched them leave.
"So there's now another enemy to add to our list. Very well... he won't live along with the rest of the Autobots."
Airachnid's spider legs snapped through the chains, allowing her to get free. She got back up on her feet and used her spider legs to raise her up into the air. Looking down, she saw the cut made on her skin that was still bleeding blue with Energon.
"But... it'll be another day. Another day Weirdwolf... another day."
Airachnid's body folded itself together to transform into her helicopter form, and she flew up into the air, blowing some leaves and dirt all around her in a wave. Having her flight ability accessed, she took off into a separate direction, going straight back to her pack.
The Transformers will return after these messages...
