Summer of Endless Rainfall
When All Truth Has Been Spoken...
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAtmospheric, Harmonic, and Scootaloo had breakfast that morning. Afterwards, Harmonic and Scootaloo left. They were beginning their search for a new home for Scootaloo. The rain continued pouring like a distorted and spaced-out ocean.
"There's still one thing I didn't tell you last night..."
"Hm?"
"When I found her; the girl I was talking about last night, it messed me up pretty bad. I tried to hurt myself because of it."
"I don't want to talk about that anymore..."
"I know, but it's important. I need you to hear this for both of our sakes."
"Why me?"
"Because you're the only one we can trust to use this information for a good cause."
"What cause?"
"Have you ever seen any kids in your school look the way I described?"
That's when it started clicking in Scootaloo's mind.
"Yeah, actually...There's a girl named Dinky. Everyone always picks on her because her mom's eyes aren't normal."
"Kids can be cruel. That's a sad fact of life. It doesn't mean you can't change that though."
"You want me to help her, right?"
"Her and anyone else who's hurting. There's one thing you need to know though."
"What's that?"
"It's not always easy to know who's suffering. Do you know why I hide my eyes sometimes?"
Scootaloo shook her head.
"So nobody can tell what I'm thinking. Even I'm not sure why."
"How can I tell what's going on, then?"
"Just talk to them. Read their body language and listen to their voices."
"Okay. I understand."
"It looks like we're here."
"Yeah. This is Rarity's place."
"I guess this is where we part ways..."
"Goodbye..."
"Use what I've told you to make this life better for others, and don't be a stranger. You can stop by anytime."
Scootaloo nodded, and her and Harmonic slowly began to grow in distance. There was a dark look on Scootaloo's partially-hidden face. Something told her this wasn't over yet...
