In Twilight's castle Toren and Starlight were just getting ready for magic practice in the Bookroom where Twilight has challenges ready for them, Starlight is starting to really show almost six months because the baby is growing fast by the Larocks spell but that didn't stop her from being competitive in her magic duels with Twilight and now her coltfriend. Quietly the purple mare's was sitting on her chair looking through the scroll as Toren and Starlight were smirking at each other, he kept making goofy faces to distract her from a distance as they face each other ready for the magic duel to begin.

Twilight points "Now remember this is a practice round. So don’t show any weakness or hesitation. Are you ready?"

"Oh please I was born ready", she admits full of confidence almost cocky and unhumbling.

Toren smirks playing along "I was ready before I was born babe"

Twilight rolls her eyes before yelling "Transformation spell Go!"

Swifty Toren turns into a dragon and Starlight turns into Twilight.

Starlight strikes at Toren with her magic, quickly he creates a shield in front of him with the dragon inside.

Spike yells "Hey Starlight not me!"

"Whoops sorry couldn't tell which one was you, so I had to delete one first and you were the clostest.", she comments smirking in pleasure

Slowly the two Alicorns used their magic to escape from the mountain of books coughing.

Twilight groans "Maybe there is a thing as too much studying", she admits before falling backwards.

Toren rose up shaking his body to get his left leg moving, then teleports to Starlight smirking as he hugged her tightly, before spinning her in the air making her laugh smiling as he spoke "Starlight that was amazing! That's my girl!

Starlight giggles blushing "Toren put me down!"

"Oh, oh right the baby whoops! Sorry, well then how about a victory kiss?", he says leaning forward wanting a small kiss.

Starlight laughs placing her hoof on his mouth "Victory kiss? But you lost I was the one who kicked your flank remember? Looks like somepony needs to step up their game if they have a chance against me."

Smirking she walks away flicking her tail at his face making him blush lightly, quickly he teleports to face the mare smiling softly flirting "Hey I’m rusty I didn't have a princess to train me like you did."

"Well she has been my student for almost five years so it makes sense. Plus her magic was already advanced before I even trained her I only helped her every now and then when it got to advanced where it caused complete chaos."

Starlight yells blushing "Hey that was one time Twilight!"

"Yeah, when you mind controled all our friends to do everything at once, then used magic to turned Spike into a huge dragon destroying part of the castle because you wanted a pancake"

"She is not fine she's obviously cursed by somepony!"

Starlight smiles "Trixie it's okay I'm not cursed or dying."

Toren uses his magic and takes them from her as she looks at him annoyed, carefully he looks at them then smiles while facing away from her with his eyes with an idea "Hmmm. Well I can see you have a tough decision to make here. I mean between flashcards and friendships is pretty tough. Hmm, I'd go with the friendship because that's the right thing to do"

"How did you know that so quickly? I mean that was so fast?", she says pointing at him really shocked.

Smirking he turned around trying to be charming as the cards hovered next to his left cheek "Well being half Draconequus you get some advantages. Plus these cards are blank. And your expression is a dead give away"

"Okay fiiine. I have been ignoring friendship lessons on purpose."

Toren tilts his head "But why?"

Starlight gets defensive "Because I have done it for so long I don't need to do it anymore I mean I have all the friends I want and hoped for. I've fixed relationships I lost, and I have you. So what else do I need to learn?"

"Starlight there's more to it then just making friends, or fixing friendship problems. Friendships is about strengthening your relationships to make them stronger, and to make those around you feel loved, appreciated and happy. And doing that will make you happy to, if given the chance."

"Okay I get it. But I have just been so stressed about other things that I can't focus on anything else."

Toren sighs understanding as he lifts her chin "I know you're going through a lot Star, but you need to stay positive and to ask for help. You have friends, Twilight, and me here to help you. You just need to ask, and we will help you to make things easier. AND you shouldn't be doing so much YOU because have a bigger responsibility. And that is to take care of our baby and nothing else."

He holds her close to his body as he strokes her mane and speaks in a low soft tone with love and care "I know you're concerned and worried about the baby along with your duties. But you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. It's not showing weakness Star. Its showing others that you need them, and that is part of having a friendship is that you're willing to help them in their greatest need. And in return they’ll do the same for you, that's what friendship is all about."

Starlight hides her face in his chest and talks while having her face in his chest annoyed agreeing with him "I hate it when you're right."

Toren chuckles with a smile then pats her head trying to comfort her "I know."

He kisses her head and uses his magic to bring the cards to her using a pen to check one off smiling in victory "See? That was a friendship lesson right there so one down and three to go!"

She giggles softly then looks down "Woah!"

Worried Toren lifts her face trying to help "Hey you okay?"

He looks at Starlight and sees that the baby was moving, and smiles softly wanting to stop time to capture this moment, forever.

Before she spoke Starlight moves his left claw-hoof to feel the baby "And I hope that it will have your heart, bravery, and you're strong personality, and everything else"

Touched by her words he wipes his eyes before kissing her lips "And that'll be enough", he admits softly.

Together they rubbed their heads smiling in tears grateful for this moment they shared, having hope.

"Where are we going?"

Toren goes to the filly and smiles "With friendship. And why wonder when you can have fun!", he lifts her with his magic and puts her on his back and uses magic and wraps a blindfold around her eyes giving her a stick, and helps her hit the pinata.

Pinkie yells "Let's party!"

Out of nowhere music starts playing, they all start to dance expect Starlight who remained behind the table drinking some punch, then heard Toren laughing so she turned her head and sees him interact with the fillies, she began to cry happy starting to feel hopeful that faded when the mare felt the baby moving as a reminder of what she was going to lose, forever.

Rarity turns her head and sees her alone by herself crying, and goes to the table "Why Starlight whatever is the matter darling?", she says as she gave the mare a tissue with her magic trying to help "Why are you crying, and all by yourself?"

Not wanting her to find out about their secret she shakes her head moving a present "Oh nothing it's just didn't really hit me til I saw Toren play with the kids that he really is going to be a wonderful father someday."

"Oh I agree completely and just think you'll soon be married and have little baby foals of your own."

Applejack walks over smiling "Come on hun enough talk let's dance!"

Romantically the farm mare grabs her and they dance together, Starlight looks at everyone then slowly walks backs walking away to the backdoor, as Gumdrop lifts up her blindfold she saw the pregnant mare leaving the party "Ah Mister Toren can you put me down I have to use the bathroom, I'll be back, can you save some candy for me?"

He smiles softly "Sure, and don't take to long or I'll start eating them!"

"I won't!", she says as she ran upstairs to her room, and goes to the wall "Well time to try my escape tunnel", slowly she went to the large picture she drew of her family and moved it like a door and went inside the vent to find the mare"

As she kept moving she found a small light that lead to a small door, when she opened it she could the mare crying sitting on the porch from the left side of the stair, quietly Gumdrop watched without being seen and listening carefully so she'd in some way be able to help her feel better.

Starlight sniffs "Oh how am I gonna them….she's right marriage first then babies not….not...", tears fell down her eyes then she gasped to herself placing her hoof on her stomach realizing she felt the baby kicking her in random places, really hard.

Trying to calm it down she slowly rubbed her belly as she looked up sighing, then glanced down as she spoke to the baby "Oh I can't believe I said that when I know you're listening to everything I say, I'm sorry..I didn't mean to say those things I guess I'm just being silly..and maybe scared..But I promise that I will love you, and make sure you are loved, safe, and make you happy... that's a promise. I promise baby.." , softly she smiles when it kicked her hoof, giving her a small hoof-shake.

Near the left she heard something moved, and quickly moved her front arms against her belly to hide the evidence in case it was one of her friends that didn't know, then thought it was Toren and remained quiet still holding a small grudge. As she turned to the side she saw it was one of Pinkie pie's daughter, it was Gumdrop and she was curious on why she was out here and not enjoying her surprise party her mother has planned her weeks, then she began to wonder if she heard her talking to the baby, or worse saw her doing it and could tell everypony about it, but she played calm so she wouldn't panic.

Starlight tilts her head "Gumdrop sweetie what are you doing out here? You should be inside with your sister, you okay?"

Slowly the little filly walked up the stairs, and sat by the mare "No I'm okay just needed some fresh air, but you should be with your friends to, I came to check on you Miss Glimmer."

"Check on me?", she says pointing to herself surprised.

Gumdrop nods shrugging her shoulders "Yeah you seemed upset and when you left I just wanted to see if your okay, and that the baby is to."

Internally screaming the mare wanted to pass out, her biggest fear came to, she knew but spoke softly almost teasing the filly as she points "Oh. You heard huh?"

Giggling the filly nods, making Starlight turn red embarrassed "Yeah you did.." she says letting out a small sigh.

Realizing that she made her upset Gumdrop goes on her hind legs touching the pregnant mare's shoulder "Hey I'm sorry for laughing I just never saw that before and I know you're scared but you have to tell you're friends eventually Miss Glimmer. I mean they have to know they are your friends and they will always be there for you."

Starlight looks at the filly surprised and then smiles "You know what you're right! In fact I'm going to tell them and they will be so excited and will support me! Now come on lets go inside and tell them.", she says standing up walking with her inside.

Once they went inside Candy went to her sister then noticed Starlight's stomach and points "Mommy why is her tummy all round and big like a watermelon?", she asks trying to understand.

Poor Pinkie gulps looking at Toren remembering his coronation day when she found out about him being pregnant, then found out by accident two weeks ago when they went on a date to Sugarcube corner with Spike and Applebloom and promised to not say anything, she was conflicted and terrified to say anything that she began to sweat.

Pinkie shivers nervous "Well ah Candykins, um she ah um, oh look why don't we open presents"

Starlight knew what she was trying to do, so to help her out she took a small breath looks at the foal, then at her friends who were staring at her confused, and trying to understand as well, then she sees Toren looking at her worried, unsure what to do, or even say that he just remained staring at her with his mouth barely opened concerned about them knowing.

Starlight knew what had to be done so she sighs before looking at her friends "Everypony there is something you all need to know...I'm", unable to say she slowly turned to the side looking away "I'm pregnant"

Both Pinkie and Toren looked at one another surprised, shocked, and slightly relieved after Starlight had told her friends the truth, however nopony said a word, instead they each individually had a blank shocked expression, all except Rarity who had the face of pure joy as she internally was screaming her head off, but was so excited she couldn't say a single word.

Pinkie whispers to Toren "See told ya I could keep it a secret, now you can't turn me into a flower"

He looked at her and saw her smirking nudging him playfully then he shakes his head "Oh Pinkie"

Applejack points "You're what now!!!??

Rarity turned her head smiling softly "Oh Applejack darling she just said she's pregnant."

"I know that sugarcube but who the father!? Unless…", she looked at Toren then realized it was him and gasps "Oh boy."

Rainbow glares and points at Toren "You!"

Nervous about her reaction he began to back up trying to calm down the mare sweating from his forhead "Now hold on Rainbowdash it's not what you think, look allow me to explain."

"Oh you can explain alright as my hooves go inside your face until you can no longer see!!", she darts at him using her wings to fly straight for Toren who uses magic and vanishes that Rainbow crashes into the wall groaning to herself annoyed.

Quickly he comes back to his place, then steps on her big feathers on each wing with his claw-hooves glaring down at her growling "Now you listen here. Yes because of me she is having this baby but not in the way you're thinking."

Confused about what he meant "Mommy why is Aunt Rainbow mad?", she asks concerned

Starlight lays down and puts her hoof on her shoulder "It's okay Candy, she just had a lot of sugar and yells really loud when she has to much, so Prince Toren is helping her not hurt herself.", she lies to not make the foal not worry about her.

Pinkie pie goes to her daughters "Come on girls why don't we go upstairs really quick, I'll come up and get you as we get the cake ready and the presents for you both to open, okay?"

Understanding the situation knowing that her little sister was behind on learning things she grabbed her hoof "Yeah come on Candy lets go upstairs and play really quick so mommy and our aunts, and uncle Toren can help Auntie Rainbow"

Hearing the young foal be so mature was impressive to the prince, especially how clever she was to trick her sister by calling him her Uncle, which in his mind was sweet, and touching considering they just met recently a few times, and hardly spoke a few words, and knew about the baby before Starlight told their friends, he smiles as she took her little sister up as fast as she could, and closed the door to give them a moments to cool down from the news about the baby they kept secret.

Pinkie pie looks at her friends "Hey guys surprise, and now I can finally no longer have to hide it from you guys!", she covered her mouth blushing hiding behind Starlight pointing "Please don't kill me, Toren made me do it!"

Nervous about the whole thing she began to talk really fast and dramatic "Because technically Toren was the pregnant when I found out about it after his coronation, then we put on a show where he turned me into a Flower, and then told me he'd do it again if I told you guys about the baby!", she takes a deep breath and continued "And then Starlight and him switched places because something bad was happening, and I found that out two weeks ago when they were on a date with Spike and Applebloom right here, and then Toren threatened to turn me into a pinata for my pie twins birthday party!"

Pinkie pie stops for a minute, goes to Starlight sitting down rubbing her chin thinking, then began to talk again "Wow now that I've that all it sounds really confusing, and funny at the same, this will be a great story to tell the baby one day, it will be so hilarious, and I'm going to through the biggest baby shower ever since Starlight is with the baby! This is going to be fun! I have so many ideas, and I will even invite Discord, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Starlight's parents!"

Quietly Starlight looked down "I appreciate your thoughts pinkie but...my parents are dead, they died in war as military ponies when my sisters and I were little"

"Oh darling", Rarity hugs her "We're your new family now, and you're going to be a mother, which is the most beautiful thing anyone can be, and not only but you found the one you were meant to be with who will be by your side to help you, and we all will to", Rarity wipes Starlight’s eyes with a handkerchief with her magic "You'll be fine darling don't you fret"

Applejack nods wrapping her arm around Rarity smiling softly in tears "We are here for you Star, always."

Without warning Gumdrop leaned against the rail by the last two stairs with her sister "See Miss Glimmer? I told you they would help you after all that's what friends are for, right?"

Smiling the unicorn teleports by the fillies and sits by them "Thank you Gumdrop. And you're absolutely right that is what friends do", she says giving them both a hug together with small tears running down her cheeks grateful, and happy.

"Everypony group hug!", in tears Pinkie and everypony else hugged her smiling in tears congratulating Starlight about the news that will soon change everything in their lives it's all in a matter of time.

A month has passed on, and time was against the prince, so after his daily duties with his mother he would use his spare time to train with his father Discord to prepare himself if he were to encounter Sombra to protect his family, his friends, and his Starlight who was now great with foal. Determined to become a future ruler, father, and husband Toren made a vow to himself that he would defeat the shadow king, and be there for his marefriend when she delivers the baby, nomatter what happens that was his biggest goal, his destiny, and his purpose to protect both her life, and their baby's life. In the distance the royal sisters watched with Starlight, and Twilight who would encourage them, and enjoyed the epic fights.

Luna yells wearing a referee outfit "Greetings Fillies! And sister! Today we have two fighters at bay, on one side we have Discord the Lord of Change, and on thee other side is Prince Tauntarus the prince of peace! Who will win and who will fail remains unknown! So let thy fight battle begin!", with magic she rings a small gong to start the match.

Starlight yells excited "Go Toren shown him who's boss! Take him down babe!"

"Kick his flank!", Twilight yells siding with her student.

Celestia yells "Go Discord!, with magic she wears a shirt with Discord on it to show support, while having fun.

Smirking the draconequs poofs to her with a kiss before going back hovering above his son pointing at the stallions nose "Alright Toren give me your best shot!"

"Don't take it personal if I beat you, after all I am more powerful than you old man"

Determined to win Discord poofs up a cup of tea while sitting in a tall green chair "Oh please you may be more powerful but I'm more experienced, But please Humor me. I do enjoy a good laugh. Come on show me what you got!"

Toren creates a sword with his magic and attacks Discord with it, quickly Discord blocked his attack smoothly like a leaf, and trips the stallions over with his dragon foot on purpose that the prince falls flat on his face groaning softly to himself as the sword fell straight into the green chair.

Discord turns to the mares pointing as he yelled "Are you sure he's my son?! He can't even fight right!"

Celestia chuckles before yelling back flirting "Yes I'm sure who else has your adoring good looks and charms!?"

"Tia don't distract me I want to win!"

"Not if I get you first!", he yells before throwing the chair at the draconequs swiftly.

With a snap it disappears making Discord laugh "Yeah like that's gonna happen! You couldn't even get me on the first try!"

"I was testing you!"

"Yeah right! Your mother could do better!"

"Quiet!"

Discord hovers barely off the ground yawning "I will once you attack me!"

As they kept going back and forth yelling while using magic to attack eachother Twilight looks over at Starlight making a weird face "Is it me or is this really awkward knowing that Celestia and Discord are a couple?!"

"Oh come on Twilight. I think it's adorable and sweet."

Twilight smiles as she looked at the pregnant mare pointing at her belly "Oh you're just saying that because you're dating their son and having his baby so I think your brain is full of.... Smooch!"

Starlight snickers covering her mouth partly "Smooch? That's the best you can come with?"

"Oh be quiet! And eat your popcorn!"

Starlight tilts her head confused "What popcorn?"

Rolling her eyes Twilight uses magic to create a small bag of popcorn for Starlight "That popcorn! Now eat it!'

"Well don't mind if I do, thanks!", she says as she ate some of the popcorn as she watched them.

Getting irritated by the fight the stallion used magic to teleport and immediately latched his fangs hard against Discord's shoulder, the draconequs growls smiling "Oh aggressive are we? Well like father like son! Two can play that game!"

Using his lion paw he grabbed his son's tail and threw him against the statue hard, and used magic to have it wrap its arms around the hybrid's chest so he wouldn't be able to move, or budge as he hovered next to him pointing "You really think you can defeat me son? You really think you are able to win when I have trained you my every move, and have won every battle...you can't beat me because I am more experienced, skilled, and if you can't defeat me the how will you defeat him?"

"Ah!", with magic he blasts the statue apart and attacks the draconequs with magic throwing him into the wall almost in tears "Shut up! I will defeat him and I will not fail my family!"

Discord chuckles pointing "Come on if I had a grandmother she could fight waaay better than you!"

"Shut up!"

"I will once YOU strike! Come on old timer today while I'm still alive! Oh wait? I'm immortal! So why don't you be useful and attack unless you want to lose Starlight and your baby!?"

"Leave her out of this!"

"Or what?! You'll burn me alive? Or turn me into a toad? Hello Lord of Chaos that's my job!"

Toren swings his sword against the other one glaring deep into his father's eyes "ENOUGH!"

Using their anger the two males fought, using their swords that clashed together until Discord pinned down the stallion with his lion paw against his neck, giving Discord full control, and with his eyes he uses magic to throw Toren's sword far away that it broke in half. Desperate to be freed the stallion yelled as he tried to move around to get away, breathing rapidly he looks at Starlight who stared at him concerned, her hoof on her stomach, his baby, their future. Tears fell down his eyes starting to doubt his worth, realizing that he could not protect them from danger, in that moment Toren felt helpless, as he looked back to his father he sees Sombra in the sword causing him to freeze completely in full fear.

"STOP IT!!", in tears Toren the swords break, blasting the draconequs away.

The power of the explosion overwelmed the two males to use their claws to grip the ground to save themselves from getting hurt until it faded instantly as parts of the sword scraped against Toren's left cheek. In silence all of the mares look at them shocked, and speechless as the old draconequus slowly gets up, but only to see Toren shaking while still gripping the ground for his dear life afraid, his body shaking like a leaf that was crumbling into dust terrified by his own power.

Starlight looks at Twilight almost afraid "Why isn't he getting up is he hurt? What's happening?!"

"I'm not sure Starlight. I'm sure he's fine."

Carefully Discord goes to the young stallion kneeling down on one knee, and places his eagle claw on his shoulder "Toren?"

Toren remained still, his head looking down "I failed."

Discord sighs softly nodding "Yes you have but that's when you keep trying until you get it right.", the stallion still places his chin on his leg ashamed as Discord rubs his son's head with his lion paw to comfort the prince "I think that's enough for today."

Without another Discord flew up to Celestia to wrap his arm around her shoulder smirking in victory "Hey Tia look at me I won! Why don't you congratulate me with a victory kiss!", he says lifting her chin to try and kiss her on the lips.

She puts her hoof on his nose disappointed in Discord and his high ego "Don't you think you went a little too hard on him?"

"Oh relax babe he needs to have some tough love every now and then to help him improve."

Unsatisfied she glares deep into his eyes whispering in a low tone "I think you and I both know we gave him too much “Tough Love” after all I wasn't even there for him..", she says almost showing tears.

"Tia..", gently he tried to touch her cheek

Celestia looks away changing the subject with a bright smile "Ah Come everyone let's go have some tea"

Starlight walks forward smiling all innocent "And Tea cakes?"

Softly she lifts the mare's chin agreeing as if she was her daughter "Yes Starlight and tea cakes"

"And don't forget that round food with chocolate dots!", Luna adds excited while hinting to the dessert.

Celestia chuckles softly nodding "Of course, Twilight? Starlight? Won't you join us?"

Liking the idea the mares smile nodding as Twilight spoke "That sounds lovely come on Starlight"

"Okay", she says as she waddled beside her mentor excited.

As they walked inside Luna sees Toren standing alone still in his armor as he threw the broken end piece of the sword angry, quietly she flew down before landing as she goes to him lifting his head with her hoof so his eyes would meet hers so she can see his pain and frustration towards himself.

Luna looks at him softly with narrowed eyes strict with a gentle, loving tone "Toren you can't let your emotions towards Starlight distract you from fighting. If you do then you will indeed lose."

He sighs as he takes off his helmet "I failed. Why couldn't I do it? If I can't even fight my own father then how can I fight Sombra?! And protect my family. Star. My baby. And the world!", he says as he looked at his reflection "Now all I see is a future that is unclear, dark, and where I'll have to raise this child she loves on my own, a child that I almost destroyed.."

Understanding what he was talking about she sighs as she lifts up his chin "I know you feel defeated and helpless right now. But you must remain wise and have faith in yourself. If you don't, then all hope will be lost and Starlight will never have your baby. Is that what you want?"

Toren growls at her before throwing the helmet to the side pointing at her yelling in complete anger "Of course not! Are you so naive? Why do you think I have not slept at night?! I have been reading books on spells for days straight to help improve my magic so I can save my baby and her! I am willing to give up my own wings to be with her and if that is my only option left to save her from death I'll do it! I'll take that risk!"

"Toren…what about your mother what would she think if you did I that.. she'd be heartbroken.."

"I would rather die and live a short life with Star then to live a life forever is misery!"

Roughly she grabbed his cheeks "Nephew enough!", her voice was harsh that he looked at her instantly as she spoke "You cannot allow yourself to be this way! You have given my sister happiness again by your presence, your child that you carried for months as its father, then gave it to the one you love as its mother, your Starlight that you cherish, adore, and have kept safe. You are the lost sun that has shined away the darkness from out hearts, allowing us to be a family again that has grown into something so much more"

Toren wipes his eyes looking up feeling her words that his heart began to burn understanding as he spoke softly "Thank you Aunt Luna for your words, I needed to hear them, and even though I had made mistakes it has lead me to this, all of this that I never thought I would ever receive, having a family who loves me nomatter what, a mare that has changed my life for the better by allowing me to see the good when times seem impossible, and my baby that has blessed me to reunite my family, my mother, my father, you, my wonderful Aunt who has stood by my side through it all, and my dear friends who have been nothing but supportive to Starlight who is carrying my child, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect them both"

In tears she hugged him tightly as she whispers "And you'll do great things nephew, and will a tremendous ruler as King, a loving husband to your Starlight, and a wonderful to your child that you will both see one day together, as a true family"

Unable to speak he began to cry to himself as she held him close to her body crying alongside him together, hoping that the darkness will not destroy Starlight, or the baby, and allow them to love with their new family, forever, and all eternity.

The day turns to night and Twilight is reading a book as Starlight and Toren who are laying next to fire enjoying the story, as for Spike well he was fast asleep next to Twilight on a pillow like a cat but on its back snoring as she read the story out loud "Once BlueStar heard hoofprints coming from downstairs, she flew out of the window with the young baby colt that had a rare birthmark shaped like a star on his head like hers. She placed him in her arms with a small blanket, then swiftly soared through the dark skies in search for shelter to protect the baby from the clutches of its evil guardian. But who was the Guardian she thought. Could it be Luro the stallion she grew up with that betrayed her by joining the dark side. Or was it the dark wizard that claims to take her as his bride. Her thoughts were mixed with anger and confusion of the unknown. But that wasn't important at the moment right now she had to find a safe place for her and the baby away from the dark shadows until dawn. I think we will stop there for tonight.", she says as she gets up walking to the bookshelf yawning.

Not wanting it to end the mare begs "Oh come on Twilight just one more chapter? I wanna know what happens and whether not Bluestar finds her true love, And if the old wizard is the villain, or if the little baby is her long lost son. Just one more chapter? Please?"

Twilight smiles as she sat flaps back to her couch "Sorry Starlight, but it's late and we can finish it some other time.", she says before giving her a smirk teasing as she points at her "Besides I think somepony needs to go to sleep."

Confused by her comment Starlight moves her head around then points her herself "What do you mean I'm not tired, and Toren is wide awake. And the only that's asleep is Spike!", she says pointing at the sleeping dragon who was snoring.

Knowing what she meant the stallion looked at her belly with a soft smile while trying to hide his laughter until he heard Twilight laughing that instantly made him laugh with her, as for Starlight she was deep red glaring "What? It's true!"

Gently Toren points at her belly smiling "Star. I think she means the baby"

She looks at him irritated still wanting to finish the story and then she gets up sighing "Alright fine i can take a hint. I'll go to bed but don't expect me to enjoy it.", she says walking away flicking her tail at his face annoyed.

"Wouldn't expect you to", he says before he gets glares at by her making him smile nervous "Love you"

Rolling her eyes she gives him a soft look "Love you to, even though your'e annoying"

Quickly he teleports beside her "Hey come on you know I'm not trying to be mean, it's good for the baby to rest", gently he kisses her cheek as he placed his claw-hoof against her cheek, looking deep into her eyes "And one day it'll be worth it when it arrives, so don't think of it as punishment, but as a reward knowing that you'll have it in your arms, as its mother"

Looking down she smiles before glancing back up at his face "And you as its father", she says almost whispering

Touched by her words he gave her a small kiss whispering "And that'll be enough", he says softly with another gentle kiss.

Slowly the stallion held her in his arms for a moment with another kiss, then went to her belly with a fatherly kiss to his baby whispering "Sweet dreams Chaos, daddy loves you", he says softly kissing it one last time before kissing Starlight.

Giggling the mare blushes as they kisses a few more times as Twilight smiles reading her book with a small peak seeing her student so happy with the prince then she smirks looking to the side "Toren, the baby needs to sleep eventually"

Stopping he blushes as he looked at Starlight "Okay Twilight I'll end our happiness so you can be satisfied"

Blushing by his comment she turns around pointing "Toren don't test me or I'll turn you into a butterfly!"

Smirking by her threat he gives Starlight one final kiss whispering into her ear "Don't worry we'll have some fun later"

Getting a hunch the mare whispers back "Top or bottom?", she whispers nibbling his ear playfully.

Toren grabbed her flank "Bottom then we'll go from there malady", growling softly he smirks before putting her down.

Gently they gave eachother one final kiss before Starlight walked away using her tail to stroke her chin to tease him to get turned on knowing that was one of his weakness to have sex, slowly she waddled away before teleporting out of his sight.

Smiling he sighs as he walked to the fireplace to blow into it, using his fire-breath to ignite the flames to rise in heat, then he lays down watching them, lost in his thoughts as they went back to the fight earlier today in the arena with his father, and compared to Sombra again concerned that he may not be able to protect them, let alone Equestria if he were to become King.

Twilight looks over and sees him alone, wanting to talk to him privately she tapped on the dragons leg "Spike get up"

Sleep talking Spike moves barely with a small smile chuckling "No Bloom not there that my tickle spot! Oh you want some whipped cream with your apple fritters?"

Toren tries not to laugh as Twilight gets annoyed then smiles and clears her throat yelling "SPIKE GEMS!"

Quickly he rose up looking around "WHERE?!", he blushes realizing he was dreaming and wishes he was when he saw the two Alicorns smiling at him "Oh hey guys, I was sleep talking again wasn't I?"

"Just a little buddy, we totally didn't hear you talking about Apple Bloom and you making Apple fritters", Toren says giving him a small wink teasing the dragon like an older brother.

Twilight wacks her wing at the back of his head "Be nice Toren, alright Spike time to go to bed."

"Um yeah that's probably a good idea.. night guys…", he says as he gave a long yawn walking away.

Toren smiles "Night bro"

"Goodnight Spike."

Spike yawns as he kept walking "Night guys"

As Spike goes upstairs Twilight puts away some books with her magic while hovering next to the bookshelf, as for Toren he looked down still ashamed about the battle with his father and failing a simple sword fight before staring at the fire.

Twilight goes to him gently and sits down while placing her hoof on his shoulder "Toren is everything alright? You have been very quiet after having the battle with Discord."

Toren sighs "I don't know Twilight I'm just ashamed by how the fight ended. Like it's almost like part of me didn't want to to fight"

Wanting to help her friend she smiles as she spoke softly trying to guide him "Well I'm sure with time you'll improve-"

Quickly the stallion jerked his head toward her snapping "Don't you get it! By the time I do it will be too late! I'm running out of time. What if I can't even protect Starlight from danger or the baby?! Then how will I be able to protect Equestria from harm and darkness!?", ashamed by his reaction he sighs looking deep at the fireplace "If I can't even protect the one I care about who is dying because of me...this was my burden to bear not hers, and she could"

"Toren I know you're concerned about Starlight, and the baby. but you mustn't let fear of the future ruin the present. You can control your own destiny and only you can decide where it leads.", she says wisely trying to be supportive, and hopeful.

He sighs still looking at the fire "But what if I fail. And what if I won't be good enough."

Gently the mare gets closer to him and moved his face torward her with her hoof on his cheek "Then you'll have your friends and family to help you along the way. You're not alone Toren even when you feel alone. For you will always have those you care about by your side. Try to sleep we all have a big day tomorrow and we will all need our strength. Goodnight Toren.", she hugs him for a few seconds then gets up with a small smile walking away.

"Goodnight Twilight.", he says grateful for her friendship, a thought came to his head giving him hope "Maybe mom can help me after all she is the Queen maybe she'll know what to do.", with that he used magic to teleport to the throne room where the map was, Toren looked at for a moment then used his powers to transport himself to his mother's castle.

The stallion looked around "Well better start looking, maybe she's in the throne room", he says as he walked down the hallway in search of his mother to seek guidance, hope, and above all a second opinion about his future.

Meanwhile Discord was on the balcony looking at the stars sitting with his arms against the golden rail pondering, tired for a long day Princess Celestia walked down the hallway until she saw the draconequus looking at the silent stars in the moonlight that took away the darkness of the night, all alone.

Unsure why he was there made her curious that she walked carefully up to the creature to investigate "Discord?"

The sound of her voice was so gentle that Discord didn't budge, instead he looked back to her "Oh, Tia hi.", he says almost monotone mixed with sadness as he looked away.

Quietly she sat beside him "Are you alright you didn't join me and my sister for dinner.", she asks placing her hoof on his lion paw until he moved it away in silence as he turned his head to the left "Discord? What's wrong?"

He sighs as he looked forward at the small lights down below "Nothing just thinking about things."

"About Toren and Starlight?"

"That's part of it yes. But… I've been thinking about us to."

Curious she spoke unsure almost nervous, but kept it hidden "What about us?"

Slowly he turned his head to her with his eyes filled with confusion, and pain "Why didn't you tell me about Toren? I mean when I returned you could've told me. And yet you didn't. Why?", his eyes narrow slightly wanting the truth.

Caught off guard by his question Celestia looks down, then back at him and sees his eyes were barely red around his pupils from crying, her heart began to pound, her throat was dry. But he derserved to know even if it was to hurt them both in the long run in life "I didn't know how to say it. I was afraid."

"Afraid of me?", he says almost cruelly.

Trying to make him not guilty she grabbed his lion paw with both of her hooves "No, no not that I was afraid you'd leave me, and try to hurt Toren to get back at me for keeping him from you. I know that sounds foolish and harsh. And it's no excuse for I've done to you and our son. I wish I can turn back time and change the past…. To see him grow, learn, and for him to be with you. To be a family…. It's my fault that we were apart. It was all because I was so blinded by my duties that I couldn't see that you were being hurt. And that I couldn't raise my son…"

Roughly he grabbed her cheeks almost in tears as he spoke in a low, deep tone as he looked into her eyes "Tia listen to me. You are amazing and you were just afraid, alone, confused.", he sighs leaning his arms against the rail while looking at her guilty "If there is anypony to blame here it's me. I could have been happy and choose to let things go. But instead I let every little negative thing get the best of me that it caused me to become evil and destroy your happiness.
I left you Tia. It wasn't you."

"No. It was both of us we could of helped each other. We could of been together if we just took those baby steps and reached to each other. Things would have been different."

Discord sighs "It doesn't matter now. The past is the past we can't change it. We are together now and that's all that matters. Our son brought us together and now we will soon be grandparents!", he says trying to make her laugh.

Celestia blushes and chuckles to herself by Discords enthusiasm "Yes we will be. I feel so old."

Charmingly he pulled her close lifting her chin "You're already old my dear. And yet you're still just as beautiful just as the day I lost you. And so much more."

"I love you Discord.", she admits finally able to sat after years of denying it.

Hearing those words allowed him to kiss her on the lips softly, gently he stroked her mane "And I love you.", he sighs worried "I just hope Starlight Glimmer pants will be okay."

"She's strong. And will have Toren with her. She'll be alright."

"I know, you're right, as always"

With magic she pulled his tail knocking him over on his back "Watch it Discord."

Discord chuckles "Come here", quickly he used his tail to pull her front hoof hard that her lips fell into his instantly.

Enjoying this moments that began to make up chuckling within their breaths as he grabbed her flank teasing her, unaware of their surrounds they didn't their son who was trying not to laugh blushing as he bite his bottom lip smirking by the unexpected sight of his parents finally a couple, and kissing, almost to much that he began to slowly worry.

Celestia looked to the side blushing before lifting her head moving away from Discord fixing her crown "Toren we were just.."

"Kissing!"

"Discord!"

"Whaaat!? We were.", he says still laying down smirking in victory wanting more.

Embarrassed she glares at him pointing at their son "I know that, but I didn't him to know that!"

Softly the stallion chuckles "It's okay mom I'm glad you both are. It's better than fighting."

Celestia rubs her head agreeing while adjusting her crown "That is true. How's Starlight?"

Before he could answer his father poofs next to him nudging his shoulder "And how is the little bundle of chaos?"

"Discord must you", she says shaking her head.

He looks at her "Whaat?! It's a clever nickname. And I like it!"

Toren chuckles nodding "I do to Dad. AND it definitely suits the situation rather nicely.", he says with a small wink.

Smirking the draconequs wrapped his arm around the stallion "Seee? Told you he'd like it! And that's why you're my favorite son!", he says rubbing his head with the end of his tail teasing the stallion.

Realizing what he meant he looked at him "But I'm you're only son"

Discord whispers covering his mouth leaning his head to him "Not for long."

Toren's ear twitched and looks at his mother almost excited "Mom? Are you?"

"No! Nooo!", quickly she points at them assuring them it's not going to happen.

"Oh she will be once I-", he whispers into Toren’s ear to explain how he will do it tonight.

Quickly he teleports covering his ear hiding behind his mother "Dad! Lalalalalaa! I don't need to hear that!"

The mare sighs looking at the draconequs "Discord please enough"

"Must you be so serious?"

"Well someone has to be."

Discord pauses before agreeing "Good point!"

In silence the stallion looked away sitting down near the end of the balcony with his head down almost crying, the couple saw him and walked up to their son each sitting on the opposite of him, his mother lifts his chin "Toren what is it?"

Toren couldn't hold in back any longer he begins to tear up looking away "Nothing it just didn't real hit until now that...I could lose Starlight and it's my fault that she's dying...Everyday that passes her body gets more weak, and to a point she can hardly stand…', tears fell down his face, his lips shake defeated sobbing "I... I can't live without her, and how could I love let alone tolerate if it killed her..I can't just let her die. I've done everything in my power and magic to keep her alive but nothing I do is working.",

Celestia held his cheeks speaking harshly in tears "Yes it has Toren! It's kept her alive hasn't it!?"

Her dark motherly tone stopped him, he had her full attention snapping out of it by her serious purple eyes that held hint of water coming to her eye lines "I know you're scared and feel helpless right now. But you need to be strong not just for Starlight.. But for your baby. And even though Starlight may die you'll still have part of her as you raise it. She wanted to do this, because she did it for you. Because she loved you so much that she was willing to carry that baby for you to save you. And that is true love. That can never break even after death.."

In that moment looks down crying and hides his face into her shoulder, she wraps her wing around him as Discord places his claw on her shoulder by Toren’s head, they look into each other's eyes in tears finally at peace after many years of being in pain, and yet began to feel it again unsure of his future with Starlight, and their grandchild that they long to see, together. Gently the parents held their son close in a hug as he wept to himself by the overwhelming thought of losing his Starlight, his light that took him away from darkness, his hope that allowed him to have peace, his happiness when he was broken.

Discord whispers to him "She'll be okay kiddo, we will do whatever it takes to help her, she is our family now, and always will be along with Chaos who will be here with us, together, as a family", gently he rubbed the stallions head "It'll be okay"

Celestia kisses his head whispering "Shh, deep breathe honey, we will find a way to keep her with us, I promise"

In silence they both looked at one another trying to be strong for their son who needed them, after years of not having his parents for centuries this was a moment where he finally had them to help him be brave, hopeful in the unknown.

Toren flies home slowly and goes to his room and sees Starlight sleeping in his bed with a note that read: "I love you"

He smiles grateful to receive her kind gesture, and kisses her head then looked at the blanket that moved up and down by her round belly that held his baby, their Chaos, gently he kissed her belly over the blanket as his horn glows, giving her some of his magic that goes inside her body to help her sleep, and keep her weak body alive, he smiles softly then carefully walked over her and laid close to her, his arm around her protectivly.

"Stay with me Star, just hold on for me", in tears he rested his her above her mane "I can't do this alone...I can't"

......All I can in this chapter is this, I hate making my Starlight and Toren all sad.
