Hearts vs. Roses
Chapter 4: I Woke Up...
Previous Chapter[Isabelle]
I don't know exactly what happened that night, but I woke up to my mom running down the hall and screaming in Muscian. I barely understood her, but what I did hear was "Prose w... Fiocia could get k...ed!"
When my mom talks in Muscian, you know there's something wrong. It sounded like she was saying "Prose woke up! Fiocia could get killed!"
If she was trying to say that, it got my attention. It also got my aunt's and my grandparents' attention.
I jumped out of bed faster than Fiocia was running around the cottage earlier. I grabbed my knife that my grandfather Black gave me, the saddle bags both of my grandparents made me, and the gun Daddy gave me.
Now, I'm only 4, 5, or 6 years old; but I need to defend my family and myself. I've nearly been raped before, and my bat wings were tore off by a bunch of "Rose Worshipers" (that's what my family calls people that love the Roses) when I was around 2. I still had the scars.
I ran out of my room and down the stairs to my grandparents.
"What happened?!" I asked, scared nearly half to death.
"Prose woke up in the cottage. She tried not to wake Fiocia, but she tripped on a table." Grandfather Black started. "Then the Roses broke in and tried to kidnap Fiocia."
My heart skipped like 10 beats.
"Luckily, Fio defended herself, but Prose and her family escaped." Aunt Purple flew in through the window.
"Well... Fio defended herself good enough..." My mom looked down on the floor, then at me. She was crying, and she also had a huge gash on her cheek.
"Don't lie to me Mommy." I started. "What happened?"
"Fio's badly hurt..." Her voice was cracking. She was definitely upset. "She got stabbed in the chest and fell unconscious."
DING. BONG. CLONG. BONG. DING. DONG.
The Heart Village Bell. If you heard it, there was a VERY bad situation on our hooves.
The 5 of us ran outside, to see Crystal pulling the rope. Tears were in her eyes. She was pulling the rope as if she was trying to pull something down. She was sobbing with every BONG!.
I heard heavy breathing behind me. It was Grunkle Blue.
"Isabelle..." He looked at me. "the last time I heard that bell was when Red died."
The sun was rising. It was a beautiful sunrise. But there seemed to be nothing pretty about this morning.
White came out of her cottage. "Crystal! What's wrong?!"
"FIOCIA'S ABOUT TO DIE!!" She screamed in tears. I could tell by her voice that her sanity was slipping. Somepony also told me that Crystal's worst fear was her family dying.
Grace rushed by me and hugged Crystal. "Shush, shush. It's O.K., Crystal. Fiocia's alive."
White somehow knew what was going on. She then started dialoguing.
Prose came from behind the Bell.
This war has went on long enough. I drew my knife and charged at Prose, and killed her.
I then hurt who I assumed was Black Rose.
White Rose came in and stared at me.
"Now we're even." I said. I turned towards White Rose.
"Yes." She said.
I was surprised by that, because normally, a Rose would put up a fight.
"To all of you Hearts, I'm sorry my so-called 'family' caused you all this pain. They don't listen to anyone, even me." She turned towards me.
"You. You are the youngest, strongest warrior I've seen." I stared at her blankly.
White Heart walked up to White Rose.
"White," White Heart started. "You do have a lot to pay us. You kn-"
"Yes I know." White Rose interrupted her. "And I'm sorry. I'll make sure my 'family' NEVER does anything like that again." Her voice sounded distorted on the word "never".
[Lavender Heart (me; Isabelle's mom)]
It was a sight no Heart nor Rose expected to see. White Heart and White Rose shaking hooves. I stared blankly.
White Rose came to me and asked me, "What are you going to do now, dear?"
The first thing that came into my mind was Mic. Isabelle and I miss him so much.
"I'm going to try to spend time with my husband." I said to her.
Isabelle heard me from the other side of the Village and ran to me.
"REALLY MOMMY?! WE'RE GONNA SEE DADDY AGAIN?!" She shrieked at me, tears swelling in her eyes.
"Yes, Isabelle. Let's go to your father."
I set off a bomb. Isabelle was crying and bounding off to the house.
Well, I actually don't blame her. I think it's been over a year since we've seen Mic.
It took forever to get to Mic's new home. I knocked on the door.
I heard... barking...?
And then a crash.
And then, I saw him. His blue eyes staring at me and Isabelle.
"Lavender! Isabelle!" He screamed as he grabbed us into a group hug.
"I missed you!" He said through tears.
