Backstory of this: When Yellow Rose (now known as Yellow Heart) fell in love with Black Heart, the Roses were outraged. They were racist against bat ponies, in which most of the Hearts are bat pony hybrids…

The Hearts are nice ponies that would be willing to help anypony in need. The Roses, however, picture themselves as the best things ever, and that "everypony should bow down to them". They're rude, annoying, not caring, over-dramatic, and just generally care about nothing but themselves.
