The Origin Story of Adean

After the death of Dorothy I felt lonely. I never felt so alone in my life because Dorothy was dead and Scardy was oftain too busy to be at home with me. Even the books weren't making me feel happy and the same with art.

I heard that my adopted sister Scardy was oftain busy studying in Canterlot, not just magic but different subjects such as art, English, and reading novels. I decided if I wanted to study art like Dorothy used to teach to me when I was younger that I would go ahead and go to Canterlot. I knew that Dorothy would've been willing to take me to Canterlot to learn art but without her I can't even take the train to Canterlot so I had no choice but to walk.

I packed a few books and some food for the journey to Canterlot. I knew that Canterlot was not far from where I am which is Ponyville so there was no problem walking there. I left the Golden Oak Library and set out for my journey to Canterlot. The problem was that I didn't have a map that would guide me to Canterlot but I still had to try traveling without it.

I decided to follow the railroad that lead to Canterlot, I knew it was risky but I had no choice but to follow it there.

As I was walking out to the Friendship Express I saw ponies staring at me, it made me feel uncomferble, but I knew why they where all staring because I was not a pony, I was a Draconequus. I didn't know what a Draconequus was but I felt like I was the only one.

As I made it to the Friendship Express, I snapped my fingers to make myshelf  invisable so nopony would tell me to get of the railroad.

I had to be careful not to let the train hit me so I kept my eyes and ears alert in case a train came my way.

As I traveled following the railroad I was starting to get low on food and water. I fell down weak from hunger and thirst. Even though Canterlot was not so far from Ponyville where I lived, it still felt like a long walk.

Suddenly I heard a sound of the screeching of the train's wheels on the train tracks, it was coming right my way that I had to get up and move. I tried getting up but my body was too weak that I could hardly move. I heard the train getting closer and closer that I knew that this would be the end of me. I saw the train coming my way and I knew this was it, that I would be a goner. Suddenly a strange winged creature swooped down and picked me up out of the way of the train before it hit me.

The winged creature landed on a field next to where the train tracks where.

"You should know not to be playing on the railroad like that," said the winged creature.

"Thanks, I thought I was gonna die," I replied.

"No problem, by the way, my names Snowball, I'm a snowleopard griffin" explained the winged creature.

"Nice to meet you Snowball. My name is Adean and I'm a Draconequus," I proclaimed

"By the way, why where you on the train track?" Snowball asked.

"I'm trying to get to Canterlot to learn to do art and to be a writer" I answered.

"Then why didn't you take the train?" Snowball questioned.

"My adopted mother Dorothy who happens to be a pony died of cancer and she had  the access to go on the Friendship Express" I commented.

"Oh, I'm sorry for your loss, but I'll take you to Canterlot," Snowball allowed.

"Thanks, by the way do you have food and water? I'm real hungry and thirsty that I'm too weak to move" I groaned.

"No, but I'll carry you to a nearby resterant so you can regain your strength" Snowball offered.

"I don't know, back in Ponyville the ponies all stared at me like I'm some sort of monster," I explained.

"Don't worry about the ponies staring at you, the resterant we're going to allows all creatures from every shapes or sizes," Snowball persisted.

"Even a Draconequus?" I began.

"I think a Draconequus is no problem for the resterant we're going to," Snowball pondered.

Snowball and I talked a little while she was letting me ride on her back and made it to the resterant. The resterant was called Emerald Cafe and had a big green gemstone on the sign that had that name on it. I knew it wasn't the Four Leaf Clover Cafe that Dorothy used to take me to eat at. When Snowball and I got in the resterant, it was unlike the resterants in Ponyville which only served grass and hay. This place had all sorts of food, such as gemstones, non vegiburgers which were beef instead of grounded vegtibles, sweet potato fries and desserts such as ice cream sundaes and pumpkin pie. There where even different creatures in the cafe such as teenage dragons, other Griffins, hippogriffs, wolves, and a few ponies. They all didn't seem to stare at me like the ponies back in Ponyville did, maybe it's because that the resterant that Snowball and I where in was attended for any creatures, not just ponies.

The waiter was a diamond dog and he sent us to our table.

"Now, what do the two of you want?" the diamond dog waiter questioned.

"I like to have a baked potato with some butter please," Snowball answered.

"What about you miss?" the diamond dog waiter contenued.

"Oh, I like to have a cheese burger with ketchup only," I added.

"Okay, I'll be there to serve your food," responded  the diamond dog.

I felt like this resterant was fine with a Draconequus, at the resterants back in my hometown of Ponyville, they weren't used to seeing a Draconequus in public. I knew that the ponies where okay with Griffins in Ponyville because there where more Griffins then there where Draconequus because Griffins lived in a town called Griffinstone. Draconequuses had no town by all I know because I was the only one.

I acctully didn't know where I came from and how I ended up being with Dorothy. Gee I didn't even meet my real mother and father because I hatched not knowing them.

The diamond dog came back to our table with our food. Snowball payed the diamond dog with a red sapphire knowing how much diamond dogs love gemstones .

We talked a little while eating our food. I really was enjoying my cheeseburger, back in Ponyville they never served meat just grass, hay and oats  which is mainly what ponies eat and it was good eating somthing different besides oats.

Snowball told me how he was unlike most Griffins because she was part snowleopard and explained to me:

"I was born in Griffinstone, but I didn't like it there because the other Griffins there where sort tempered and greedy but also because I am part snowleopard and it was too warm there so I decided to live more up north," said Snowball.

"Gee, I didn't know that Griffins where short tempered and greedy, I thought they where all like you, kind and generous," I explained.

"No, most Griffins are willing to steal from ponies as well as hippogriffs," Snowball told me.

"Aren't hippogriffs related to Griffins?"

"In some ways yes, but they're part pony instead of cat," Snowball answered.

"But there are some similarities aren't there?" I observed.

"Yes in some ways, but they are born half pony because their mom might be a pony and their father might be a Griffin."

Before we left the cafe Snowball gave the diamond dog a tip that was a pure diamond and layed it there on the table for him to get.

We walked outside the cafe and both of us felt satisfied with our meal. I was back to full Heath and enough to go to Canterlot.

"So you want to go to Canterlot I see?" Snowball thought.

"Yes I do," I recalled.

"Well I'll fly you there if you want," Snowball offered.

"I don't know," I murmured.

"It would be faster then walking," Snowball exaggerated.

"Well if I don't have to walk on the train track, it's fine with me."

Snowball grabbed me and put me on her back.

"Now hold on tight, we Griffins are not smooth flyers," Snowball urged.

She flew off with me holding on tight on the way to Canterlot.
