Darkness was the only thing in his sight. He felt cold, aching all over and wanted to puke his guts out. Soon he felt himself coming too and as he opens his eyes he saw that he was in a dark room with dim lit torches. Spike tried to move but felt his arms tied done, he looked and saw his wrist restrained on a chair along with his ankles.

“Aww, what happened?” He groans as he tries to get out.

“Um hello? Anypony? I need some help here.” He struggled a little more than saw a door open and a blinding light came from it. Spike squints his eyes as he tries to figure out who the pony is at the door.

“Aww good, you woke up. Trixie was worried you would never wake up.” The pony said as she closes the door with her back hoove. She had a black hat with a armor chest plate with a stare and moon on it as she hold a mase like torch in her magic.

“Trixie?” Spike said in surprise as he looked at the show mare that was in some odd guard gear in confusion. “What's going on? Why am I tied up?”

“Trixie will ask the questions welp. Now the first one is who are you?” She asks looking at him will holding the torch near his face.

“Um, I'm Spike, remember, Twilight’s assistant,” Spike said will earning a laugh from the blue mare.

“Do you think Trixie is stupid? You are no assistant to the archmaginster. Now I will ask again. Who are you and what house do you work for?” She said in a threatening tone.

“Archmagister? House? What are you talking about? Is this one of pinkies weird pranks?” He asks again then suddenly he got hit in the face by her mace. Spike cry in pain as he felt the metal hit his cheekbone and nose. Thick scales or not it still hurt. “The hell was that for!?” He demanded.

“So you like to do this the hard way but Trixie let you know; she isn't gentle to prisoners.” She raises her mace up high but was stopped as another unicorn open the door. He wore a heavy set of armor with a sun symbol on his shoulder and the same moon and stars on the other. He was a little chubby and shorter than other ponies but he was the about as big as Big Mac. Threw his helmet spike saw his mint green coat and orange mane.

“Sorry to interrupt ma'am.” The large stallion said to the blue show mare near spike. “But Prince Shining Armor wishes for your present in mediately to one of the slave domes.”

Trixie growled as she lowered torch and look at the dragon. “Consider yourself lucky dragon but Trixie will be back for you.” She trotted to the door but stop and looked at the unicorn stallion. “Keep an eye on him Snips. Don't want our guest getting too comfortable.”

“Yes, Grand Inquisitor Trixie.” He bows then stand by the door watching spike as Trixie shut the door. Spike was confused; first, he was tied up somewhere, next Trixie is acting crazy and starting to question him like some spy. Now he was being looked down on by a bulk size version of his guy friend.

“Just what the buck is going on?” He asks himself as he sat in the dark room wondering what will happen next.

Back in another Equestria in the castle of friendship Twilight and the others were finished telling Celestia and Luna about what happened to spike.

“So a strang dome trap spike and sent him somewhere?” Celestia asks her old student as she node.

“Yes princess, we didn't know what happened but Spike is somewhere and we need to find him.”

“Calm thyself Twilight sparkle. Thou must think straight” Said the moon princess in the Royal tongue. Celestia noded.

“Luna is right Twilight you need to keep calm. Now, what did the portal look like exactly that trapped spike?”

“Well it was light green and it had lighting going around it and then just before spike vanished I saw some symbols appear under him and with a flash of light he was gone.” As Twilight finished grazed she saw Celestia and Luna thinking on the matter until she saw Celestia look in surprise.

“A vortex summons.”

“A vor- what?” Ask a confused rainbow.

“A vortex summons, it's a powerful spell that chooses a random host to come to anywhere even to another world.” the sun princess explained as Luna look suprised.

“But that spell has been forgotten longer then we were born. Who had enough power to cast it let alone find it?” she ask.

“I'm not sure either but it was no question about it.”

“So now you know the spell maybe you can find spike and bring him back.” Applejack said getting some smiles from her friends.

“It is not that simple miss applejack. We know the spell but we can't simply find Spike. The spell picks him at random and took him to whatever world he is in now. The only way to know which world he is in now is the spell caster themselves.” Celestia explained stopping everyone's hops.

“So we are stumped.” Said starlight as she and the others look in disappointed.

“Not true starlight their other ways to find Spike. Though it may take longer but with all of you working together will find him in no time.” Celestia said as the other cheered and she went on with what she needed to find Spike.

Spike was still tight up in the dark room with the large armored unicorn. He was worried what might happen to him and another part of him wanted answers the so he looks at Snips and decided that will be his only source.

“So um what's going on?”

“Quiet dragon.” The stallion told him.

“Look I'm just trying to make small talk while we wait for Trixie.”

“Only that will be talking is you so pipe down.”

Spike sighed 'now I'm starting to miss how you never shut up.’ he thought as he saw he won't get anything else from him.

“You seek answers?”

Spike looked in surprise and look around. “Hey did you hear that?”

“I said pipe down!” The large stallion yelled at him.

“What you didn't hear that?”

“That's it!” Snips raise his hoove and was about to swing at Spike's face but was stopped by an unknown force holding his hoove.

“The buck?” He said before his hoof was launched at him hitting him in the face knocking him out.

Spike look in confusion. “Ok, that was weird.”

“Now that he is out of the way time to get you out of here.” said a voice which spike can't find. Suddenly he felt his wrist cuffs and ankle cuffs unlock. He got up and looked around he saw the door and rush to it.

“I won't do that if I were you.” Said the same voice as Spike was about to grab the knob and look around again.

“Who are you? What's going on?” Spike ask still looking for the voice.

“If you wish to escape you must follow my words correctly. Understand?” The voice said at the same time a green glow filled the room and from that glow came a floating unicorn stallion with a long white beard and a wizard suit on. Spike look in shock as he recognizes the stallions since it was hard not to know him if his sister is a huge fan of him.

“S-Starswirl the Bearded? But how?” He asks in disbelief.

“You will get answers later right now we must escape before more come for you.” He said as he floats to a wall and looked around.

“How there are probably many more of those guys outside how do I get out of that?”

“Threw this.” He touches the wall and it open to show a dark hallway.

“Secret tunnel? Ok, that works.” Suddenly they heard knocking on the door.

“Snips what is going on in their!? Why is this door lock!?” The voice of Trixie came from the door as it was banging harder.

“Quickly,” Starswirl said as he flew into the hallway and spike followed after him and as he was in the secret door closed at the same time Trixie burst in and found unconscious snips on the floor.

Trixie let out a grown then look at the other guards with her.

“Find that dragon now!” She command and the guards starts the search. Inside the hidden tunnels, spike followed his guide and his light source. As they traveled they saw dust, dirt, and rats in the dark hallways.

Spike was still looking at the old wizard in amassment ' star swirl the bearded is here and helping me escape. Man Twilight will be jealous when I tell her when I get home.’ he thought as he also thought about his friends. 'man they must be worried like crasy about now.' he then look up at the ghost.

“Hey, you said you answer my questions. What's going on? What's with this ponies?”

“It's because Equestria is at war,” Starswirl answered

“War? With who?”

“Each other.”

Spike stop in shock thinking on what he said. Equestria at war with each other? How was that possible. He wanted to ask more but saw Starswirl turn a corner.

“Hey! What up!” He shouted to the ghost as he ran after him. When he was around the corner he saw starswirl touching a wall in a dead end. “What are you doing?” Spike asked watching the old stallion.

“Unlocking a door.” He said as he twists his hoove on the wall it starts to move and inside was a large room with pillows on the floor, scrolls in piles, a large fireplace and fine furniture around the corner of the room.

Spike looked in shock as he remembered the room they were in. “T-this is my mom's room.” He said as he looked around. He places his hand on the table and felt years of dust on it and cobwebs over other things.

“No one has been in here.” He looks at starswirl as he closed the door. “What happened?” Spike asked in a domain tone and saw starswirl sighed.

“Well we are safe for now so I guess you should know."

"Fifteen years ago the princesses disappeared without a trace. No pony knew what happened or was they went but the sun and Moon kept oh their cycle without them which got some ponies to question their magic.”

“Soon riots and chaos spread through the land and the only rulers available where shining armor and cadence to lead Equestria until the princesses were found.

"Later on, groups of ponies start to form and Unicorn Racisms starts as other ponies racial supremacy pop up like anti-unicorn views.”

“I believe Twilight was first to fall.after the “bloody debate” when her parents try to gain political power over Equestria until a group of really pegasus storm in the conference room and kill anypony inside which lead to Twilight velvet and nightlight sparkles death.”

“Now with full of rage and a new believe she joins a group called the Society of Moon and Star a radical group that wants to keep the teaching of the royal sisters alive no matter what.”

“In final attempt to restore order Twilight calls her friends to try a force alicorn spell in which will turn one of them into an alicorn and this is where applejack finally has it and calls Twilight insane so she leaves her friends for good and largely as a traitor to the thrown.”

“Now Twilight convince rainbow and pinkie to try the spell with her. The spell only resulted in far as pinkie died from the spell and rainbow suffered a massive scare on her face and body.

"Finally, all of her friends left each other and slowly all built their own house and rally pony's to their side and soon all of Equestria went into silver war and will not stop until they destroy each other and claim Equestria for their own.”

Spike sat there in shock thinking on what happened. His best friend fighting other and his mom gone. It was a lot on him but he keeps his cool as he looks at starswirl. “Ok but that still doesn't explain how or why I'm here in the first place.”

“Well, you see after watching so many ponies suffer and die I had to do something but I can't leave cantorlot since in shackled here so I use a vortex spell to call a saver for help and I think it picks you.”

“Me but I have nothing to do with this. I'm sorry but you got the wrong drake so can you send me home now?”

Starswirl sighed as he pull his hat down a bit to cover his face. “I can't.”

“What? Why?”

“I use up all the energy I had into the spell and it's only a one way. So I can't send you back.”

“So you drag me here against my will?” Spike said in a growl

“It picks at random. I had no control over it, however, there is one way to get you home.” starswirl said as he look at some old pictures of Luna and Celestia as they were filly's and teens.

“Really what?”

“It's a spell book but it's not here I left it in my old lab far from here. I can help you find it if you help me leave this place.”

“I thought you couldn't leave cantorlot,” Spike said as he sits on his mother bed.

“Yes, but there are ways for me to stay on the mortal plane. All I need is a host so I can stay in the realm.”

“So we find one of this ponies for you to control?”

“No, they are under control by the Archmagisters magic. If she sees me trying to escape she will torcher me so I will have to use your body.”

Spike sprang up as he back away from the ghost wizard with his hands up. “Wo, Wo! Time out. what a minute, I'm not letting you possess my body!”

“I wouldn't possess it. You will have control and awareness in your body all I will do is be in your subconscious giving you threw everything.”

“So basically you're going to ride piggie back in my head?”

“Well basically yes.”

Spike sighed. “Sounds smart but let's get something straight here if I let you in my mind no looking through it. I don't want anypony seeing my private stuff.” He said lowering his hands. “So how do we get out of here?”

“I can help with that,” Starswirl said as he floats to spike and went inside spike which made him tense up and shivers.

“Oh man, that feels weird.” Said spike. Suddenly his point of view change as he saw everything in black and white but he
saw many glowing figures in the distance.

“Wow, what is this?”

“This is called mage sight, it allows you to see magic on objects and living things. Helps you see how strong they are or find hidden things.” Starswirl explained as Spike looked around and saw a hidden door in the fire place with symbols on it.

“What door does that lead to?”

“Looks like it leads to the teasing area which where we have to go.”

“So you will open the door?”

“Actually you can try this. With mage sight, you can open the door yourself. Just move those symbols on the door in the right place and the door will open. Lucky you got a weak lock spell so this should be easy for you.”

Spike look at the door with it had a golden sun on the left and a crescent moon on the right. Spike think on this then he saw slots so he drags the moon and the sun to their slots and places them in. as they locked in the door moved.

“hu. no wonder mom was so good at hid and seek.” He said but just before he went in he saw a picture of his friends together like the friends they Should be and toke it with him.

as he walks through the halls and in a couple of minutes, he found another door with many other dimly lit figures behind it. “What the?” He reaches for the door.

“What! Spike don't!” He tries to warn spike but it was too late as he opens the door and saw the what horrified him. He saw ponies in cages almost all of them pegasi and earth ponies.

As spike looked more he saw ponies young to old with scares and diseases on their body's which made it hard to look at. Some saw spike and bag him to set them free.

“What is this?” Spike asked as he saw an earth pony mother holding her baby colt close to her chest as she was crying in silence.

Starswirl sighed as he looked at the place he had seen for when he was brought back to live. “This is one of a slave domes moon and stars has. they keep any other race that's not unicorn as a slave to either work, fight, or simply to test a. They all think unicorns are the dormant race and to those that don't agree will feel there were.”

“W-we have to help them,” Spike said trying to open a gate but starswirl stop him.

“I know it's hard but we can't save them all. We need to go now spike please.” He felt spike ball his fist and curse as he left the gate but just as he was about to leave a door opens and guards with moon and stars symbol on them looked around.

“Fan out and find him. He has to be in this Castle somewhere.” Commanded a unicorn stallion with sunglasses on and a black suit top on him. He had a sand colored Cote and a black mane and tail. His cutie mark was a what looked like a pincher claw.

Spike hid behind a cage as the guards search and just as he was about to go around a corner he felt a hoof grab his hand.

He looks who it was to see an old earth pony stallion with a messy chocolate brown mane and tail, dirt brown coat that had a large scar across the sid of his neck and chest. His cutie mark was a martini.

“Hey, kid you got to help us please.” Said the stallions with a whisper to spike.

“I can't. I need to leave.” Spike said as he watches the guards look around the cages.

“Look you ain't getting out that way. Not will he is their.” He points to the stallion in the suit.

“Look we can distract the guards to get you an opening in exchange you sneak over and grab the keys on the wall. Pass it to one of the ponies in the cage and will let ourselves out, deal?”

“You crazy? Their are guards everywhere. You will never make it out of here.” Spike said to him ducking his head a bit.

“I refuse to die as a slave. None of us want to die here so even if we die, will die fighting. Can you at least give us that?”

Spike looked in shock hearing that from the stallion. 'had twilight really done this to ponies so much?’ he thought as he looks at the other ponies that look at him with hope. When he looked back to the stallion he had a serious look on his face.

“What's your name?” Spike asked the war-torn slave.

“tequila salt lick. I use to run a bar up here before I was sent here as a slave.”

“Well, salt lick ill help you. But you got to get me close ok?”

“Deal.” With that Spike looked up to see the guards still searching. Spike took a heavy gasp and sneak around to the next cage.

“So you are risking everything to help them?” He heard starswirl in his head as he creeps low to the cages.

“I can't just let leave them to hear. They are ponies, not cattle.” Unknown to him starswirl smiled as he heard that.

Spike kept to the side of a cage and saw a guard coming towards him. One slave saw this and start to bang his cage it his hooves.

“Hey! Guard! Come on man! I need food!” The slave yelled and spike saw the guard grown and turn to the slave.

“shut the buck up earth pony filth.” As his back was turned spike sneaked to the next cage and saw another guard was being distracted by a pegasus mare who was using her charm.

Spike laugh to himself as he saw how Spike the guard was distracted by her sway her flank a bit.

When he was by the wall he saw the leader looking inpatient and the keys next to him. He was wondering how to get past him until he saw a Colt throw a rock at the leaders head.

“Aw! Who threw that?” He thought to the cage looking for who threw the rock at him. Spike took this chance and grab the keys. When he had them in his claws he saw the leader walking back. He quickly hid behind some creates as the tall stallion pass by.

“Round up men! He isn't here. Let's go before I gag from the smell of this filth.” The guards left the room and the stallion with sunglasses look one last time around the room before closing the door.

Spike sighed as he got up and went to salt lick cage and open it letting the ponies out. He gave the keys to a mare so she can open the other gates when he did he saw salt lick walk up to him.

“Nice work drake. We thank you for your help.” He said stretching his limbs.

“No problem salt lick.” He saw the hidden door and had an idea. ' starswirl is they're a tunnel that leads it way out of here?’ he asks him in his head.

“Well most of the tunnels are blocked by Twilights guard but I know an area that is safe. Down to the crystal mines and an area that blocks magic for awhile. Should be an open shot.” Spike told salt lick about the path which it was a good idea so spike opens the door and lead the ponies through but salt lick stops and looks to spike.

“Hey just before I go here I swiped it from the science boys in the lab.” He hands a key to him. “It will get you in safely.”

“Thanks, salt lick.” Spike thank the stallion

“And hey if you ever come to Manehattan look in the lower city for a bar called “salt lick bar and grill” my wife is there the
last time I heard of her. If you make it there I'll treat you to my finest drinks.”

“I never really drank alcohol in my life,” Spike said making salt lick laugh. If he had ever been caught drinking alcohol, Twilight would kick his ass to next week.

Rainbow always made jokes of that when she had hard cider but Applejack would always threaten to band her from cider for a year if she didn't stop teasing spike. It worked a few times but dash would always find a way to tease.

“See you around...What is your name?”

“Oh, my name is-” spike was about to tell his name before starswirl stop him.

“Spike what.”

'What what's going on?’

“I suggest you make a different name.”

‘What why?’

“If you use your real name ponies will get curious and will get the wrong idea about you.”

‘Why would they do that?’

“I'll tell you later just trust me.”

Spike sighed and thought of a name. As he thought he remembered a name a long time ago when he was being taken care of by Celestia.

She always read to him a story book he grew to love. A Dragon Knight that fought for his people and swore loyalty to the dragon lord. His name was…

“Green Flame,” Spike said to the stallion.

“Green flame huh? Figure from a dragon. Anyways take care green and good luck staying alive.” He left through the door and spike thought.

“Why don't we go with them.”

“Moon and stars would be on us if we left the castle. we need a faster way to get out of their territory and it's in the science lab.”

“I guess that's true.” Spike went to the door the guards went through and open it to Peck out and check the hallways. They were clear and start to walk through them. “So how do we get their?”

“Just follow me.” He saw the wizard come out of him and go down the hallway.

Spike followed close and look around. Everything looks different. Banners of moon and stars hung against the walls, panting of ponies that he didn't know hung the walls, and clanging of metal was heard.

As he traveled he saw a few pictures of the princesses he remembered still up. He turns a corner and saw some stain glass window of what happened what starswirl told him. The disappeared princesses, the “bloody debate” incident, and Twilight taking power of moon and stars.

As he got closer he saw a large door ahead of them with the word “science lab” on it and also two large guards blocking the door.

“Great how are we going to get past that?” Spike deadpan but saw starswirl go through a wall and open a door.

“In here.” Spike went in and saw some strange items everywhere. Many contraption, computers and jars of colorful liquid.

“Grab that metal object,” Starswirl said pointing to the object on the table and as Spike examined it. It was the size of a baseball but a little heavy it had a button on it.

“So what is this thing?” Spike ask looking back at starswirl.

“It's a stun grenade. It's a prototype to capture runaway slaves without killing them. Will use that on the guards. Just press the button and throw it at them.”

“Sounds simple.” Spike press the button and threw it at the door getting a confused look from the guards. After it made a loud beep noise it exploded and cover the hallway in an electric cloud and with the armor on them fried the guards to a crisp.

“Sweet Celestia you said it would stun them.” said in shoke as he watch the fried ponies.

“And I said it was a prototype,” Starswirl said going inside of spikes body again.

Spike walk carefully to the door giving one last look at the fried guards before pulling out the key and unlocking the science lab.

When he was inside he saw many machines like twilight had down in the Golden Oaks library's basement. There were armor, glowing metal and large machines with dials on it.

“There it is,” Starswirl said as spike looked at a giant machine with what look like a laser pointing at the floor with caution tape-shaped in a square around the area.

“This spike, is called the warp drive teleporter. It was designed to teleport multiple groups of forces to either give reinforcements or enter strongholds by surprise. Unfortunately, it has some glitches were it either turn the pony inside out or teleports them in the air to crash to the ground.”

“What so it has some glitches and you want us to use this as an escape?” Spike said as he worried he thought on the idea of using it.

“We have no other choice besides it has a 45% chance of success.” Starswirl switch the switch and the machine sparked a bit. “Ok, maybe 40% chance now get in the square.”

Spike sighed as he did as he was told as the Ray gun start to warm up. He what ready until he heard a door kick open.

When he turned to see he saw the same unicorn with sunglasses and suit walk in with two other guards and his magical grip was salt lick all battered and beaten up.

“So this is your way to escape. Cleaver but it ends here.” The stallion said as he drops salt and saw him cough blood on the floor.

“How did you find them?” Spike question.

“Oh, it was simple. I knew the ponies were trying to distract us but I didn't know what until I went back in and saw their tracks lead to the tunnel so I sent some guards to follow it. We had to kill all of the escape slaves but old salt lick here spilled on what happened so we teleport here and found you. Now Surrender what is ours and we will make your sentence a light one.”

“Don't listen green flame. This pricks will stab you in the back if you trust them.” Salt stars will said before getting a hard stomp on his back as he cries in pain.

“Your choice dragon. Let the pony die and will chase you later or surrender and we still kill the pony but you will get minor punishment.”

Spike looked in shock. He didn't know that to do. Salt growled and saw a knife sheath on the pony's leg.

“Sorry mate but looks like we won't be drinking together anytime soon." Salt lick said as he bit the handle of the blade and pulled it out to stab his holder in the leg. The pony in glasses growled as he turns to the earth stallion fighting his guards.

“Spike we have to go now!” starswirl shouted at him. He turned to the fight then growled then rushed in.

“Spike!” he heard him again but ignored it as he caught the stallion in surprise as he punches him in the face cracking his glasses in the process.

The hit sent the leader at the wall and fell to the ground. spike then saw the unicorn guard got his attention as the other fought salt lick. He holds a large spear in his magic as it glows in energy.

“Dragon catch!” Salt lick said passing spike a sword. He caught it and had a good grip on it. 'let's see if shining armor's basic training was worth it.’ spike though as he got in a stance.

When he was little he wanted to learn how to different himself and the girls so Spike had worked out at the Apple feels with big Mac learning hoof to hoof sparing along with some wrestling moves, next he asks shining if he can teach him some military skills.

At first shining was a little hesitant in letting spike learn this stuff since twilight would worry like the sister she was but spike managed to confine him to give him a few lessons about, sword combat, military strategy, and sign language and finally he learned how to survive from Zecora by teaching him the ways to survive in the jungle from scavenging to crafting and all the way to hunting.

As he came back to the reality he starts to fight the unicorn. He gave some basic swipes at him but the guard dodges easily. He then lunches forth his spear at him but Spike swiped it away and kick him in the chest.

As the guard fumbled spike swing at his head but the guard saw this he and duck then swing his spear at spikes side. Spike jump back as the tip nearly grased him.

Spike tried to look for an opening. “Spike under his shoulder,” Starswirl told him as spike saw his under side was not covered in armor.

The guard and again but spike bent low and slice up to cut the stallion's front hoove off. He screams in pain as he lay on his side.

Spike saw him in pain and in a way to him stop his suffering. He brought his sword into his head making him stop scream. Spike was in shock.

He had never killed anypony but only a day here and he was a forced to kill three ponies.

He heard a gurgling noise and saw salt lick slitting the throat of the final guard and let him fall. Salt lick pant and looked at Spike with a smug smile.

Just before spike said anything some blood spray on his face. He saw salt licks chest was stabbed by a stinger like spear and as he was lifted by the same stallion with a slightly cracked pair of sunglasses.

He smiled as he holds salt lick with his now stinger tail.

“You are talented dragon but no one makes a fool out of moon and stars.” He said as he throws salt lick at a wall.

Spike look in shock so he didn't see the stallion charge at him and his hoove turn into bug like armored as he punches Spike into a wall cracking it a bit. He fell to the grown growing in pain as he saw the stallion looking down at him.

“I did give you a choice.” He rases his fist and stomp it on his head as he put pressure making spike cry out. He couldn't fight back.

It felt like this is the end. He saw his friends and family flash before his eyes then a voice called to him.

"Is this how you will die?" It said with a deep voice.

"Starswirl?" He ask but this felt different. It felt more...powerful.

"Why let this stallion have his victory so easy."

"He shouldn't kill a dragon like you with one blow."

"Dragons are always ready for a fight"

"Don't just die like a groveling cowered!"

DIE LIKE A WARRIOR!

With great strength and speed, he grabbed hold of the stallion's hoove with his claw. “What in Tartarus!?” He said in shock as spike got up still holding his hoove then draw his fist back then land a hard punch to his face cracking his glasses in half. He crashes into the wall sticking in it as he a cough in pain. He looked up to see a pissed off dragon with a light green glow coming from him.

The stallion got out of the wall and change his tail into a manticore tail as he tries to sting the dragon but he would douge and as he got close he catch his tail. Then in a intent swung him up making him slam down on the grown and he felt the mad dragon pulling on it.

He quickly Chang his tail back to get free then change his hoove to an iron shell like fist as he and spike drew them back and collided with each other.

What seemed like seconds his hoove cracked and felt his bones break. He screams in pain before being backhanded to the side of his face sending him crashing into one of the machines.

He quickly launches back at him with his jaw now like a set of hydra teeth he manages to climb on his back and bit his left wing base. He heard the dragon roar in pain but felt a scaly hand on his horn.

He was swung from his back and slam him face first in the group and toss him to the doors.

As the stallion slowly got up he saw spike inhaling and his mouth was glowing.

When he gave a mighty roar he shot a fireball speeding at him. With no time to escape he set up a shield but it wasn't enough as he was blown away from the blast.

Spike panted seeing his work. He then turn to see salt lick still on the ground. Spike rush over to him and turn him over.

He saws softball size hole through his chest and he weakly looked at spike.

“Told you I won't die as a slave.” He said before coughing up some blood.

“Hang on I'll get you to help.” Spike try to stop the bleeding but he rests a hoove on his claw.

“It's ok mate you did enough for me just make me a promise.” He hands him a locket. “Give this to my wife turtle dove and make sure you help others like you did me. Maybe they might help you stop all of this.”

Spike started to tear up but hold it as he nods. “I will.”

“Now get on out of here mate and I'll see you in tartruse.” He gave one last cough before closing his eyes and smiled as he passed on.

Spike snift and saw the machine ready to teleport.

“We should go spike,” Starswirl said in a quiet voice.

Spike gave one last look at salt lick before heading to the portal then in a flash he was gone.

At the same time, Twilight walked the room and saw most of the machine destroyed and most of her solder's dead.

“Round up the dead and get this mess cleaned up.” She commented and the soldiers did as they were told

“Archmagister! I found one alive.” She heard one of her soldiers say. As she trotted to the sores she saw in a greater was the stallion was now bruised, cut up, and had a burned left hoove.

“Get Thrasher to the medical wing.” She commented as she saw the stallion being lifted and taken away then saw the body of salt lick. She got close to the body and glare at him.

“I want that dragon found. He has important Intel with him and if it lands in enemy hands will be an easy target.” She looked at the warp drive. “What are you up to starswirl?”

In middle of the night at a huge river a flash went off and there was a grown and pucking noises. “I am so done with teleporting.” Spike pant as he tries to stay together from the trip as he wip his mouth.

“Well, the good thing is that we are away from the house so I think we should get moving to a safer place-” starswirl didn't finish as he saw spike fall as he passed out from exhaustion. “Oh dear.” He sighed as he stayed with him until he heard
hoove steps then hid in spike's body as a light came on it.

“I think it came over here.” Said a voice in a country accent.

“Hey, I have something.” Another voice came up and a group of earth ponies in brown armor came to the passed out Dragon.

“What is it another monster from Everfree?”

“No, it looks like a dragon.”

“A dragon? What's it doing all the way out here?”

“Who knows maybe a dragon mercenary from white gold.”

“But it has hardly anything on it.”

A hoove felt his neck. “I got a heart beat.”

“Well, whoever he is he may have questions. come on let's get him in the cart and to new Ponyville.”

“Yes sure.” They lift spike and take him to their base for some questions.

“Oh dear not good,” Starswirl said to himself as he stayed inside Spike.
