There are things that we can't change......  Things that are a part of us.  Things that we wish we could change, but we can't.  Some ignore it, while others try to hide from it!  But there is no escape! There's no hiding from it, because it is a part of us and always will be. It taunts us, making us tremble in fear at the thought of it. The thought of us not being able to change it. The thought of us failing or losing because we can't change it. It's who we are and what we will be. It's who we will become. We are afraid of things we aren't sure of or can't control which is why we fear it so much. If it gets to your head, it could control you! It could deceive you! It has led so many peaceful souls to evil and many wicked ones to peace. It shows whats in your heart. It could lead your life to joy or misery. Its your fate. Its your Destiny!

Dear reader, the adventure that you are about to embark on will change the fate of Equestria forever, for you must know that things weren't always like this. Things weren't intended to turn out this way. But much like you reader, some pony wanted to change their fate! Their Destiny! Striving towards changing fate, can cause someone to loose control. Can drive someone into madness! It can turn them into something else. Changing Destiny is possible, but only achievable through the desire to gain power. Reader, the tale your about to hear could change the way you look at the world, at Equestria.

We will begin our story at the very beginning of it all. When suspicions rise from the Canterlot Castle walls. When Equestria's greatest hidden secret, is closer to its demise. When there is silence in the castle hallways, where are that is left to hear, are the darkest of secrets.
