I prowl in through the nights,
Searching for my given rights,

In her moonlight,

We slay her in slumber,
The Lunar Republic Rises!
The moon shined brightly in the night's sky as the alicorn trotted to the end of the cliff to observe the scene below. The sky a deep red a night of chaos was about to unfold. The alicorn was called Luna, her eyes filled with hatred for her sister Celestia after all this was her fault she was the one that cast her to the moon for 1000 years. She turned round to the ponies behind her and let our a royal Canterlot battle cry. Thousands of ponies all in dark armour clutching spears and stamping there hooves all cried back. All the hooves rattled like thunder against the night’s sky and at the front of this crowd stood one pony that had proven herself to be a true leader. She was Thunder Hooves and she was Luna’s personal guard and answered to no pony but Luna she has proven herself worthy at the fall of Ponyville and the Luna Republic had never been so proud to march into battle with her.
She turned away from the crowd to look upon a broken and burning Canterlot. The Solar Empire and their last legs this was their last stand if this plan works Equestia belongs to Luna and her Republic. Thunder lets out an almighty cry and begins the charge. Everypony begins to follow all chanting "DEATH DEATH DEATH" as the army of thousands of ponys all charge towards Canterlot. Thunders horn glowing a deep red as she gallops towards the protective shield surrounding Canterlot. She lets off an almighty spell that flies towards the shield and shatters it like glass, Canterlot is now open the time for battle is here! . She entered through the hole in the shield to me met by a familiar face “ive been waiting for this moment all my life ive learnt a lot since you last saw me, and now its your turn to feel my wrath” she flew up into the air and with glowing red eyes cast a fireball “DIE TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!!”
**5 Years Earlier**
The young mare walked into the enlistment office in the main city of Metroponyton the room was small with a table an older stallion walked over to her and handed a clipboard and a pen. She filled it out with a little bit of worry and handed it back to the stallion who left the room then a different pony stepped out he was covered in medals and wearing dark blue armour with a half moon crest. He walked over to her and said "welcome to The New Luna Republic today you have signed yourself up to the winning team”. She looked at him taken back, "its Lunas personal message to Celestia for imprisoning her on the moon for 1000 years!"
"....hmmmm I don’t know Celestia hasn’t done anything that bad has she?". "that bad! THAT BAD! ponies cant leave house after dark we have all our mail scanned. This is not what she was like back before the first equestrian war. She has become paranoid and power hungry". She stood back for a moment and thought things through he was right she had changed since the first civil war she had become far more stricter i mean the Solar Empire has doubled its security in towns and cities. She looked at him then back to the form and stamped my hoof onto the ground "IM IN!” She promptly left the enlistment office galloping to tell her magic mentor the one and only Twilight Sparkle.
She Stood there and closed her eyes and teleported to her second home Ponyville. She promptly dashed off to Twilights library she burst in the door and shouted "Twilight guess what!?!?!". Twilight was sorting out her shelving and nearly had a heart attack "what is it". "ive joined the New Luna Republic", Twilights jaw dropped "you’ve done WHAT!" "Ive . . Joined The New Luna Republic was it wrong of me to do so?".”Thunder, Luna is our enemy she is threatening to remove Celestia from her throne". Thunder stood back and looked at Twilight "what you saying that im now the enemy?". Twilight looked at Thunder and looked away "I don’t know what to think anymore, just go please". Thunder walked out with her eyes burning pure red and her horn glowing like fire she stopped turned to Twilight "see you on the battlefieild Twilight" and then flew off. Twlight slid down the wall "what have i done"..
The blood flowed through her body like fire her eyes glowing pure red she had never felt anger like that but at the same time pure energy and power she wanted to channel it. She landed in a empty field and tried to channel this new power to her horn and aimed it at a tree. The spell she cast was pure red a huge glowing red ball brighter than the sun that went flying into the tree turning it instantly into ashes. She stood there jaw dropped staring at the smouldering wreck that once was a tree, she smiled an evil smile.
She wanted to try another spell that she had learnt but before she could pegasi came shooting down out of the sky landing all around her. She looked at them they were wearing half moon crescents that could only mean one thing but before she could think it she came swooping down and landed right in front of her.
“P-P-P-Princess Luna”.
”Hello Thunder Hooves ive been watching you and might I say you have so much potential your skills for magic are unmatched I come to you with a proposal. I see you have joined our ranks but a pony like you with so much skill doesn’t belong on the battlefield, she belongs to lead it. That’s why im appointing you to be my personal apprentice, I will teach you all there is to know about magic and all the spells you will need in the battles you will fight and you will join the ranks of my elite Shadow Ops"
"see you at the recruitment office tomorrow, that's only if your interested!"
She had heard of the Shadow Ops they were the best of the best they where feared by everypony including the Luna Republic.
She walked in to the recruitment office the next day and there they were the Shadow Ops standing in all their glory. They walked over to Thunder and one of them spoke to her.
"You must be Thunder Hooves" the mare pony said
"My name is Captain Shadow Stealth and this is Lieutenant Fire Blaze welcome to the meanest group in all of Equestria"
Shadow Stealth was a pure black earth pony with white markings the same as Thunder Hooves. While Fire Blaze was a gray alicorn with black markings like Thunder Hooves but had pure green eyes and a mane that looked like a blazing fire.
Shadow turns to Thunder "as you have joined us i see fit that you are promoted to Lance Corporal congrats Thunder"
Thunder stands gobsmacked "Lance Corporal Thunder Hooves...i like that"
