It was a beautiful afternoon as Fluttershy attended to her garden, it had already been a week and her new Dinosaur house guess had already settled with her, Angel and the other animals at her cottage. But as of right now she was happily collecting the fruits of her labor, and she was even planning to plant a different assortment of plants…ferns and cycads liked the ones that’ve grown in the Mesozoic Era. After planting the seeds and fern spores, the shy Pegasus smiled at her handy work.
“Oh nothing like a little tender, love and care to grow a lovely garden,” said Fluttershy. “And I do hope Parker and Boulder will be able to enjoy these plants once they’ve grown.”
Fluttershy calmly sigh in peaceful bliss, which is until something caught her attention. It was coming from a particular birdhouse Rarity made during the inspiration manifestation curse placed upon her, Fluttershy could’ve sworn she was hearing music inside of. Peeked with curiosity, the pony went over to take a little peek…there inside she was surprise to see Teryx the Avisaurus doing some improve dance moves before addressing to an imaginary audience.
“Hey there name’s Teryx,” he greeted the imagined group. “You might think you know, but you have no idea…welcome to my crib, “Casa De Dinosaurio” the ultimate Bachelor pad in…”
“Teryx?” Fluttershy spoke surprising the Avisaurus a bit. “Uh not that I want to be a bother but…why are you inside…”
“My new bachelor pad?” Teryx finished the confused Pegasus. “Well a tiny proto-bird like me needs this space, and since nobody else seems to inhabit this place…I thought I might move in here.”
‘Well I guess you can stay here if you want,” replied Fluttershy. “Though could you at least let me know please…just for next time that is.”
“Oh I see,” Teryx realized. “Anyway I hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoon and if you excuse me…I need to choose a bedroom so I can make my nest.”
As Teryx flew around in search of a sleeping area, Fluttershy simply happily returned to tending her garden. Afterwards with produce in a basket, she returned to her cottage where she noticed as Dusk the Troodon was reading what appears to be a Bestiary.
“Oh salutations Fluttershy,” greeted Dusk. “I see that you had a wonderful harvest.”
“Oh thank you Dusk,” the Pegasus giggled. “How is that book suiting you?”
“Well I’m enjoying it quite well,” replied Dusk. “Though I’m a bit confused about on creature in this book…Timberwolves, now if it’s true
that they’re made of wood are they still considered an animal or are they actually some form of vegetation?”
“Good question,” replied Fluttershy. “But be honest, no pony had figured it out quite yet.”
“I see,” said Dusk. “Would be worth investigating in the future.”
The Troodon proceeded to go back to reading his little Bestiary while Fluttershy headed over to the kitchen, there she saw as Angel was lying on the floor exhausted at whatever he did earlier.
“Oh dear are you alright Angel?” Wondered Fluttershy while her rabbit shook his head no. “Home come you’re so tired all of a sudden?”
The rabbit pointed to a table as the Pegasus’s jaw suddenly dropped; there the table was pile high of vegetarian platters while Boulder the Leptoceratops was gorging himself on every meal that was in front of him. Fluttershy could only watch as pile upon file of food were placed inside the Dinosaur’s gullet, there the Pegasus decided to head back into the living room to lie down on her sofa. While Fluttershy continued resting from today, Parker the Parksosaurus walked in and noticed how seemingly overwhelmed the poor Pegasus was. In the kitchen he had a little discussion with the other dinosaurs, most notably of their host Fluttershy.
“Alright guys you know how much poor Fluttershy had given to us right?” Parker asked the gang as they nodded yes. “However I have a feeling that combined with caring for her critters as well as her personal life could be tiring her out quite a lot.”
”Really I thought she was just shocked at seeing Boulder’s appetite first hand,” said Teryx. “You know how much big dinosaurs need to eat.”
“So true,” Boulder replied while patting his belly. “That angel bunny’s a mean cook however.”
“Well I understand your concern Parker,” said Dusk. “Though if only we could pay back Miss Shy for her kindness.”
Once the Troodon mentioned it, an idea finally sprung in Parker’s head.
“Well why don’t we,” suggested the Parksosaurus. “Fluttershy already done so much for us, so why not pitch in and do something for her in return.”
“What like help out in domestic chores?” wondered Teryx. “You guys realized I don’t have the size to do such physical labor right.”
“You don’t have to do it on your own Teryx,” assured Parker. “You can help by mostly supervising when needed.”
“I guess I can do that,” The Avisaurus thought it over. “You know helping out might not be such a bad idea.”
“Indeed,” agreed Dusk. “I could help out with the cleaning and cooking.”
“And I could help Fluttershy with larger stuff,” Boulder smiled.
“Alight then I’ll Fluttershy with her animal friends,” Parker chuckled. “So are we all in agreement.”
Teryx, Boulder and Dusk nodded in agreement while Parker smiled at this.
“Then it’s settled everyone,” replied Parker. “By tomorrow morning we’ll start pulling our own weight to help Fluttershy out.”
On the next morning while Fluttershy peacefully slept in her bed, seemingly dreaming of an assortment of breakfast meals.
“Hmmm…freshly squeezed orange juice,” Fluttershy dreamt. “Oh and a bow of muesli, and a plate of… soufflé?”
Confused by the aromas, she woke up and realized that the food she smelled seems to be real. Peaked with curiosity, Fluttershy flew over to the kitchen where to her shock….Dusk was making breakfast.
“Oh good morning dear Fluttershy,” Dusk greeted the pony. “You’re just in time for breakfast.”
“You made breakfast?” the shy Pegasus asked curiously.
“Oh I did,” replied the Troodon. “Practiced all night…though I hoped you’re planning on replacing the oven, for some reason it blew up when I was preparing chocolate soufflé.”
Fluttershy took noticed of the smoke coming out of the oven, but paid no mind due to that she rarely cooked anything with the oven to begin with.
“Well thank you for preparing breakfast,” Fluttershy smiled. “But uh where are the others?”
“Well Parker’s attending to the animals,” replied Dusk. “Boulder’s out somewhere saying about learning to pull his own weight…and Teryx’s still sleeping the birdhouse, he had to help me last night in putting out the fire from the oven.”
“They’re doing what?” asked a confused Fluttershy.
