Other Ponies, no problem. Monsters, maybe that's a problem?
Chapter 1: Joining the program
My name is Shadow Heart, and my special talent is dealing with things that go bump in the night. That’s not saying much when the things that go bump in the night are actually friendly. I’m a crimson furred stallion, with a blonde mane and tail. My eyes are gold and sometimes glow in the dark, they kind of intimidated ponies when I was younger. Anyway with that little bit of info out of the way I think I should tell you about my job. I’m a member of an organization that is the first line of connection between monsters and ponies. Now you’re probably wondering what constitutes a monster. A monster is any creature that falls under the domain of the night, other than thestrals. A few examples that are given to those joining the program are vamponies, wolfkin, lamias, gorgonys, spider ponies, and demons.
I only recently joined the program; actually it was shortly after gaining my cutie mark. Honestly I’ve been a blank flank most of my life, and it was only saving a vampony that caused my mark to appear. Vamponies aren’t going to burst into flames from sunlight; they can’t only die by piercing their hearts, but they are allergic to silver and rosaries. Rosaries can restrict their power, and silver can kill them if injected into the blood stream. Just touching silver burns their skin and fur. The vampony I found had a silver knife stuck in her arm. I’d pulled out the knife and given her some blood.
At the time I didn’t know why I did it, it just seemed the smartest thing to do when I saw her fangs. It was after that my cutie mark appeared. It was a black sun with a red moon embossed upon it and creatures of the night frolicking underneath. That was, oh three weeks ago now. When I got my mark I decided I’d dedicate my life to helping monster ponies blend in with society. Of course it helped the species collaboration act came out about a week after I took in the strange mare who I later learned was named Rarity.
Rarity lived in my guest room. However she would be just the first of many monsters to move in with me. After Rarity moved in with me I became a host for Monster mares, and this is where the SCA came into play. As a member of the pony race, a unicorn to be more specific, I was expected to provide for the mares under my care, until they got jobs, keep them safe, and never have intercourse with them. That shouldn’t have been a problem; little did I know that the mares in question had their own designs. The things I received as a host were free Remodeling of my home for monster girls, I would receive a government stipend, and I would be allowed to enter monster communities. Of course besides all this there were some drawbacks, I had to go out with any monsters that didn’t have a work visa and any crimes they committed I would have to pay for the trouble they caused.
Anyway after the SCA came into play, Rarity got a work visa and started to help out around the house. I was happy to have the extra help and income coming in, though part of that went out for donated blood, plasma pills, and Rarity’s wardrobe. Rarity is a very high maintenance mare, which isn’t surprising because from what I’ve heard most vampires are noble born.
Now before I go any further let me tell you a few things about monsters that are in the SCA packets handed out to every host. 1. Monsters are non-infectious, though if you drink their blood you can become a monster yourself possibly. 2. Monsters are as intelligent as ponies if not more so. 3. Monsters are not trying to take over the world. 4. Most monsters that are in the SCA are female looking to learn more about the pony lands. Finally 5, Monsters are looking for friends among the normal populace and if the SCA works out then they will open their borders to non-monsters.
About two weeks ago I met the director of the program in my area. His name was Creature Keeper. He was an interesting stallion with a pitch black coat and dark blue mane and tail. He was the monster hunter of Princesses Luna and Celestia.
After I learned a little about the program from creature he said to me “So you’re mark is that of a keeper.” I raised an eyebrow confused so he explained “Your mark is that of one who keeps the balance. The light of the red moon is the time when monsters are the most active. I nodded and thanked him.
When I got home from the Creature’s place, Rarity tackled me and said “Darling you’re home! I hope you joined the SCA like I asked you to.” I nodded and she said “Wonderful, so do I have you all to myself or should I worry about other girls moving in?” I shrugged. She stared at me and asked “You didn’t ask?” I shook my head and she sighed then said “Well then I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Also I hope you understand that I won’t mind sharing.”
I was confused by what she meant by sharing and would remain so until the extra species decided to make their point clear. I plopped down on the couch while Rarity relaxed in our recliner and said “I start work at the boutique tomorrow darling. The old owner is willing to sign it over to me as long as I do a good job however I’ll still be living here.”
I grinned and said “Great.” She raised an eyebrow and I said “It would get lonely without you here. I’ve grown used to you living with me.” She squealed and plopped down on my legs then lay down on top of me before hugging me. I stroked her hair and said “You don’t need a drink, right Rare?” She shook her head and I said “Good because I was going to offer to get you one from the kitchen, since you’ve been eyeing my neck.” She giggled and I said “Seriously you’re like a lioness eyeing a gazelle when it comes to my blood being available.”
She giggled and said “Sorry Darling, but you’re just so adorable. After all the first time I drank from you, you passed out.” I blushed and mumbled. She giggled and said “It’s alright darling; you didn’t exactly expect a pretty mare to latch onto you after you pulled a knife out of her arm. Though thank you for not pulling away, even if you did pass out. I don’t think I’d have survived if I didn’t get your blood into my system.”
I mumbled “You didn’t mention that vampires emit an aphrodisiac through their saliva that makes their victim enjoy being bitten.” She chuckled blushing and I said “Seriously Rare, I didn’t like being bitten before you did it. Now I don’t think I could get off in sex without being bitten because I’m so used to associating biting with pleasure.” She blushed and scratched her neck then I said “Anyway you know we can’t do anything since you’re an extra species and I’m a unicorn stallion.”
She giggled and said “You know the SCA is going to remove the no intercourse eventually because a lot of monsters have to breed with ponies.” I blinked and stared at her as if asking ‘Really?’ She nodded and said “Yes males don’t exist among many monster populaces and those that do the males are usually infertile unless they were turned from other races. An example is vampire males. My father was a vampire, as was my mother, but my father started out as a regular earth pony who drank my mother’s blood.”
I raised an eyebrow and asked “If he’d been a regular stallion would you still be a vampire?”
She nodded and said “Vampires always have female vampire children. Males however take after the father’s race. My little sister is a vampire, but a friend of mine whose father was a dragon was born a regular dragon not a vampire dragon.” I blinked and she explained “If we were to mate the foal would have a fifty-fifty chance of being a vampire or a pony. If they were female the chance goes up to seventy five percent.” I nodded slowly and she said “Honestly I don’t know why so many believe vampires can’t have children, we aren’t truly undead.”
I raised an eyebrow and said “I thought the undead thing was a rumor started by hunters so that vampires wouldn’t be protected.”
She smiled and said “No it was mainly started because our breathing can stop for a few minutes, our hearts can stop and, it takes the blood of other living beings for our heart to keep beating.” I slowly nodded and she said “Now then, I’m going to go to bed. I will see you in the morning. After all tomorrow you find out your part in the program.”
I nodded and bid her adieu then turned on the TV and started to watch the news. The night passed slowly, the news talking about the SCA, and my own mind filling in the facts they were missing. After about half an hour I turned off the TV and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I sat on the counter sipping my water as Rarity walked downstairs and said something about needing a drink. I started to ask what she planned on drinking when she pulled out a blood bag and cut it open before pouring its contents in a wine glass and sipping it. I didn’t flinch; having grown used to seeing such things over time, and asked her “What’s the type of today’s meal?”
She shrugged sipping from the glass and replied “AB negative.” I nodded and sipped my water staring at the wall clock above her head as she glanced around and asked “Not going to bed yet?” I shook my head. She asked “Have you even showered?” I shook my head again and she said “Darling that will just not do. Go upstairs and take a shower then head to bed. I’ll talk to you in the morning before you go to your meeting about the SCA.” I sighed but nodded in acquiescence. She smiled and said “Lovely.” I finished my water and headed upstairs hip checking Rarity on the way making her giggle and say “You’re so naughty darling.”
I chuckled as I headed upstairs and said “No I just like to have a little fun.” I heard her sigh as I walked into my room to grab a change of clothes. As I walked out she was walking upstairs. I raised an eyebrow and asked “Finish your drink already?” She nodded and walked past me to her room then I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She knocked on the door as I was about to get in, so I quickly pulled my boxers back on and answered the door. I asked “Yes Rarity?”
She blushed seeing me mostly in the buff and said “I just wanted to let you know I was going to bed because I have an early day tomorrow. I doubt I’ll be here when you wake up.” I nodded and she continued “Anyway good night.” I bid her good night and closed the door then tossed my boxers and clothes in the hamper and put my spare change on top of the toilet before climbing into the shower and letting the water run over my form. I yawned as my horn sparked and magic flowed out changing the color of the water from clear to light blue.
I yawned and blinked as the water changed color then muttered “Damn my magic is on the fritz again.” I started to scrub myself down with soap and washed my mane and tail with conditioner and shampoo then rinsed off. As soon as I was rinsed off I started toweling myself dry and stared in the mirror. My golden eyes reflected the light and my ears twitched at the sound of water dripping off the shower head. I sighed and muttered “You live with a beautiful mare you can’t touch because she’s a vampire. Sheesh, just your luck Shadow,” I sighed and stretched. I pulled on a pair of boxers and walked to my room then plopped down on my bed and pulled a sheet over me after turning on my fan and cooling the room down.
I fell asleep alone. As I slept I dreamed. I dreamed of my childhood, being insulted as a blank flank, being told I’d never amount to anything by my classmates, and the love my parents had for me. They’d had marks that had to do with monsters as well and told me one day I’d find my mark. I didn’t know that they were members of the royal monster hunters, but one day they just didn’t come home from a mission. I relived that day in my dreams as my uncle took me in and said to me “You’re strong Shadow. Don’t let the cruelty change your heart. Always help those in need and you will be rewarded when the time comes. You’re mark will appear when it’s time not a moment before. I love you kid, and your parents loved you more than this world. Your father and mother passed away on their mission but you are their legacy.”
I’d nodded and said “Of course Uncle. I will do my best to make them proud; I won’t give into the darkness and will instead rise above it. However I want you to teach me how to fight, how to defend. I will be a protector.” He smiled and agreed and then my dream went through a montage of my training. I saw myself learning how to track creatures, learning the different markings that were used by the different guards and branches of the military, learning the blade, spear, and bow. I saw myself learning everything my uncle knew, before finally reading my parents’ journals. After that the dream faded away as my alarm went off.
I woke up and let out a loud yawn then got up and got dressed. I decided to dress nice because today would be my first day working with the program to find a job. I dressed in a button up shirt, slacks, and polished boots. I walked downstairs and made myself a plate of eggs and hay bacon. I ate quickly and rushed out the door then got on my motorcycle and drove to the SCA headquarters in my area, which was also the former monster hunter barracks. I pulled up and parked in the visitor area then walked in and headed to the receptionist. She looked up and said “Ah Mr. Heart. I see your early, that’s good. The Director has plenty of time to see you today. Honestly if you like I’ll let him know you’re here and you can head on back.”
I nodded and she hit the intercom then talked to the director, who was of course Creature Keeper, and motioned that I could go back. I walked back to Creature’s office and he motioned for me to sit down. I did so and he said “So you want to work for the SCA’s board of directors?” I nodded. He smirked and said “Good, because with a mark like yours your life is destined to be intertwined with monsters. You would either be hunting them in the old days when they were attacking towns to raid and steal mares and stallions, or you would be working with the bureau to keep the incidents quiet. Either way you’re mark leaves this as your best option. So what do you want to do?”
I shrugged and said “I’d like to run a task force that keeps the monsters and hosts in check. I’d also like to be the liaison between the hunters and the SCA members. That way I can come out if needed. I’m trained in more extensive combat than the royal guard, to track the different types of creatures in our world, and I have a degree in language from Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns.”
Creature smirked and said “Maybe we should make you director.” I blinked and he laughed then said “I’m kidding kid, though I think we will make you the head of the task force.” I raised an eyebrow thinking “Task force, what task force?” He smirked and said “The M.D.C. or Monster Defense Corp is a group that protects the populace from rogue monsters and protects peaceful monsters from trouble makers, poachers, and vigilantes. The M.D.C is a separate branch of the SCA organization and only reports directly to me and their director, which is what you’ll be.”
I blinked and asked “Why me?”
He smirked and said “Because you’re mark is that of a pony that will deal well with monsters. Your parents were my best hunters, and your uncle recommended you. That and you put your life on the line to save a vampire who just so happened to be on your front lawn. All that and I see a younger me in you kid. You’ll report to me and the princesses. That said, you’ll also be a host so expect more girls to come to your home, and your home to be remodeled. You will have to set examples, meaning you’re going to be the head of the interspecies units.”
I blinked and asked “What interspecies units?” He smirked at me and I said “Seriously sir, what interspecies units?”
He laughed and said “The units that have both monsters and their stallion or mare they love working together as police, firefighters, etc. Yes though the SCA says there is no romantic or carnal relationship between monsters and ponies allowed, that’s just for those that haven’t already started relationships or plan to take advantage of the status an interspecies relationship would give them. We do background checks on anyone we allow to mate with extra species and so far we’ve only found four couples that weren’t in it for special status. Those four will be under your jurisdiction. All that said I believe unless you have some questions for me I just need to give you your paperwork.”
I blinked and asked “What if any of the creatures come onto me?”
He chuckled and said “Committing a carnal relationship with them or any other type of relationship is up to you. You are the highest authority next to me when it comes to this type of thing. Also you should expect that vampire lady of yours to make a move on you when she finds out you have special permissions.”
I winced and continued “Well if that’s the case, what about if I meet anyone I think should be allowed to be with the extra species under their care?”
He smirked and said “Then you fill out the paperwork and send it to me. I’ll review it and we’ll have an interspecies specialist come in to see if the two are compatible. Of course if not well then I’ll have to call you in and find out what they said or did to persuade you, then we’ll monitor them and see if they have hidden motives or they really love each other and just couldn’t pass the test based on not having enough time together. If that’s the case you won’t be written up but you will have to go to interspecies training yourself. Actually I think you’ll be mandated to have a study on every extra species and their habits. Be prepared.”
I sighed and nodded then said “I guess those are all of my questions for now sir. So I’ll be joining the program today.” He nodded and handed me the paperwork. I read through it, most of it was just waivers, allowing for background checks, etc., basic stuff that you would have if you joined the guard or any branch of the government. I signed, feeling like I was signing my life away and he said “How many extra species can your home hold currently?”
I shrugged and said “I have two floors so far, three bedrooms upstairs a living room and kitchen down. It would take remodeling for most extra species but the more pony like would be able to stay upstairs with me and Rarity.” He nodded and I continued “Is that all you needed sir?” He nodded and bid me adieu so I headed out the door and down to where I’d get my badge and what not to go with my new job. I didn’t start working for a week, but I would receive my first paycheck on my first day. I dug in my pocket and pulled out a piece of gum then put it in my mouth and started chewing as I walked. I walked into the badge assignment office and got my picture taken, my badge printed out, and my complimentary uniform.
I thanked them and headed home knowing Rarity would probably be there and that if things worked out we’d be getting a roommate before the house was remodeled. I pulled up to the house and parked outside then got out and walked in. I was hugged by Rarity the moment I entered the door and she said “Darling you’re home. So, did you get the job you wanted?” I nodded and she said “Wonderful.” I smirked and she said “How about a celebratory drink?” I shook my head and she sighed then said “Not even a little sip?” I shook my head and she sighed then said “Fine. So when do you start working?”
I smirked and said “A week from today so next Monday. Before that we’ll probably get a new guest. So that said I’m going to go play some computer games. Do what you want down here.” She sighed and nodded then I walked upstairs to my room and turned on my computer. I started playing games until it was time to make dinner. I walked downstairs and said “How does spaghetti sound?” Rarity shrugged watching a fashion show on TV and I said “You know you have no reason to be miffed at me just because I didn’t let you drink from me. I know you prefer warm blood but I don’t count you drinking from me as a celebration for getting a job a good way to spend the day.” She huffed and I chuckled then started making pasta.
It took about half an hour to make dinner then I poured Rarity a glass of blood, myself a can of soda, and served up the French bread and spaghetti. Rarity ate daintily while I dug in a bit more messily. When we were done I washed the dishes and the two of us curled up on the couch watching the news. Rarity fell asleep clinging to me, so I picked her up and carried her to her room. I undressed her and took in her voluptuous body. She was about five and a half feet tall, had at least a D cup bust, wide child bearing hips with a slim waist, and her mane and tail were perfectly groomed. I wrapped the sheets around her and whispered “Night Rare,” before going to bed myself.

I woke up at dawn, like I usually do during the week to the sound of someone banging on the front door. I sighed and muttered “God damn it. Who the hell could possibly be banging on my door this early in the morning?” I got up and got dressed in a pair of shorts and a t shirt not bothering to go through the effort of putting on pants just to answer someone who was banging on my damn door. I walked downstairs passing Rarity who was standing in her doorway wrapped in a robe and looking pissed. I waved her back to bed as I passed her and opened the front door. Standing there was one of my soon to be support staff Melody Breeze. I stared at her and said “Lady Breeze you’d better have a good reason for banging on my door at dawn. I personally was up but my house guest was not and if I hadn’t told her to go back to bed she may have drained you dry and I’d have all sorts of paperwork to fill out. “
She shivered and said “Sorry Sir. It’s just that your new tenant said she would be willing to go see you. You see she’s a bit nocturnal and as such she’s been up all night. She’s a succubus you see, so she has special provisions that allow her to be intimate with ponies being that spiritual energy is needed for her to function.” I raised an eyebrow motioning for her to go on. She sighed and said “She’s in the car.” I nodded and motioned for her to go get this succubus in question and leaned on the frame as she turned around and walked to the car. She tapped on the passenger side window and it was rolled down. I didn’t hear what she said but I could make out a rainbow mane and a cyan coat of the pony in the car.
I sighed and muttered “Dear Luna help me if this mare forces me to go to clubs with her.” The two walked up and I got a good look at the succubus. As I stated before she had Cyan fur, but she also had smoky magenta eyes, fangs, bat wings instead of a pegasus’ feathered wings, and a long spade tipped tail. She was wearing a black corset top, a tight pair of booty shorts that were dark blue, and had on a choker with a sapphire set into the front. She smiled at me and looked me over as if taking in my form. I coughed and said “Eyes up here.” She looked into my eyes and I said “I’m your host Shadow Heart. What’s your name and species?”
She smirked and purred out “I’m Rainbow Dash, and I’m a succubus. Although many call me walking sex on legs, I think you and I will get along just fine if you don’t consider me a plaything.” I snorted and she asked ‘What?” I shrugged and stepped out of the way to let her in. She stopped in the doorway and posed in front of me putting her decent sized, probably a C or D cup, breasts on display and said “I can be any mare you want, as long as I have a little magic to feed on and use to help myself. You unicorns have the best spiritual energy.”
I snorted and said “Whatever, your room is the third one upstairs. Don’t wake up the vampire living in the room across the hall from you, bathroom is the first door on the left, yours is the second. My room is the first on the right, vampire’s is the second. If you throw wild parties I will personally tan your hide.” She smirked and I said “If you think I’m just being kinky I’m going to have to say no. I have special permission to discipline those living in my home if they break my rules. Also don’t bring anyone home that will cause loud noises before dawn and I’ll put a sound proofing spell around your bedroom.” She nodded smiling sultrily and I said “No I’m not going to fuck you. I’m amazed I’m awake with how late I went to bed, but once I wake up I can’t go back to sleep.”
She blinked and asked “Did little Miss Melody wake you up by banging on your door?” I shook my head then started for the kitchen to make myself a cup of hot cocoa to wake up the rest of the way.
Melody coughed and said “Sir you need to fill out the forms saying you received your tenant and that you are taking responsibility of her.” I sighed and turned around then walked back and took the clipboard from Melody. I read it over and signed where I needed then handed it back to her. She took it and said “See you Monday sir.” I nodded and waved her off then motioned for Rainbow to go upstairs and unpack. She only had a small backpack on her back but I knew with expansion charms she could have an entire wardrobe in there plus whatever sex toys she deemed she needed. I sighed as I went into the kitchen and thought “I know. I just know Rainbow is going to make my life hell until I show her who is boss. I bet she and Rarity will fight for top female in the place then it’ll happen again when more mares move in. At least I don’t have to watch them in my home.”
I started a pot of cocoa and sat at the table eyes closed. I waited about ten minutes for the milk to heat up then poured in the cocoa and mixed it up adding marshmallows because hell even though I’m a bad ass, not really how I see myself, I love me some marshmallows. I stirred the pot and heard the sound of someone coming down the stairs. I called out “I’m in the kitchen. Rarity if you want coffee I’ll make you some though I can’t understand how you can drink something so bitter. I much prefer cocoa.”
The voice that answered was decidedly sultrier than Rarity’s and was huskier. Instead it was Rainbow Dash who said “I’ll have some cocoa stud.” I sighed and poured her a mug then slid it across the table leaning back in my chair. She sipped it and said “Wow this is good.” Her voice lost its sultry edge, but was still rather husky. I sipped my cocoa watching her and she said “Don’t worry I’m not going to jump your bones. I just wanted to find out what the rules are. You see my last host broke the law and tried to say my rent was sex, which I wouldn’t mind, but I’d rather work at a regular job and pay my way.”
I shrugged and said “Rule one No loud parties on weeknights. Rule two don’t touch the vampire’s blood supply or she gets pissed. Rule three don’t wake me up before dawn unless it’s an emergency, some is dying, or someone is at the door. Rule four everyone helps out around the house. Rule five the only time you aren’t required to work is if you’re sick or hurt. Rule six no killing your roommates. Rule seven no trying to kill me. Rule eight no fighting with the local idiots unless you want me to get involved, and trust me you don’t want me to get involved. Rule nine don’t enter my room without me in it. Finally Rule ten don’t start something you have no intention of finishing. If you follow the rules then we will have no problems and you can live here as long as you like.”
She nodded slowly sipping her cocoa and said “I don’t see any problem with following those rules. Why do you have so many though?” I snorted thinking “Most of those rules go with the damn SCA; the ones that don’t are the ones about working. How can this mare not see that?” I yawned as I finished my first cup of cocoa and got a second. She studied me and said “You’re not enthralled by me… why?” I shrugged and she said “Most males the moment they’re around a succubus they end up becoming enthralled and feeding her their spiritual energy in some way. You however just seem like you’re tired.”
I snorted and said “Tired, exhausted, irritated, aggravated, all four could be applied to me. Why don’t you go sleep? I mean you are tired, right?” She nodded and I said “Then have a nice rest, I don’t expect you to be up at the same time as me, but if you aren’t going to somewhere you’re allowed to go without me you need to let me know. I’ll try to get you a city pass.” She smiled and thanked me then headed upstairs to go to bed. I sipped my cocoa and muttered “Well to a degree she acts like a succubus, but to another degree she acts like a teenage girl who hasn’t been around most social situations and isn’t used to being less than popular. I bet she’s only twenty at the oldest.”
I put the legs of the chair back on the ground and sat at the table with my head in my hands and my eyes closed. I heard someone walking downstairs and said “What kind of coffee you looking for this morning Rarity?”
Rarity replied “I believe I’ll take a nice cappuccino.” I nodded and got up then made Rarity her cappuccino before I sat back at my place and sipped my cocoa. She sat across from me and said “So who do I have to maim for ruining my beauty sleep?” I snorted and she said “Ah I almost got a laugh with that one; I guess I’ll have to try harder. Seriously though, who was at the door and why is there another mare upstairs?”
I sighed and said “Rainbow Dash and Melody Breeze. One works under me and the other is our new roommate. To answer the question in your eyes, Melody works for me and Rainbow moved in with us. Rainbow’s a succubus.” Rarity sighed and mumbled something about having to compete and I wondered what she meant. I mean she couldn’t have meant she wanted to fight for my attention, right? Anyway I sighed and finished my drink then put the cup in the sink beside Rainbows and said “So Rare, no work today?” She shook her head. I grinned and said “Then what about we stay in and relax?”
She nodded then stopped herself and asked “Have you bought groceries?” I nodded and she said “Then that’s an excellent idea Shadow. I believe we can make a day of it. Anything you want to watch or are we going to order a movie?” I shrugged and motioned for her to pick as I grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge and tossed her a blood pack. She caught it deftly and bit into it then drained it dry before throwing the bag into a hazardous waste basin and I sipped my water.
I glanced at her and said “Take your time and pick.” She nodded and we collapsed onto the couch then she started flipping through the on demand movies. I sipped my water as I sat next to her until she found a movie she thought would be good. It was an animated film, and honestly I don’t remember a thing about it other than it was sickeningly sweet. After it was over I flipped to a horror movie and watched that, laughing the entire time. Rarity sighed and asked “Darling why do you watch those dreadful horror movies?”
I smirked and said “Because they’re hilarious. Vampires act nothing like in the movies, monsters aren’t all out to eat people, and the main cast are always a bunch of idiots who don’t know the first thing about survival. It does me good to see some idiots dying, even if those idiots are teenagers, maybe more so because of it.” Rarity sighed and I said “Sorry Rare but I sat through your sickeningly sweet animated movie, so I needed my horror fix. Want some popcorn while we get a movie we can both enjoy?” She nodded and I got up then made a bag of popcorn before sitting down again and flipping through the movies. We settled on Marevel’s latest movie.
I yawned and got the popcorn before the movie started then placed it in Rarity’s lap and lay on the couch with her sitting at my waist. I started stroking her hair as the movie began and we watched it eating from the bag and enjoying each other’s company. She played with my mane as she leaned back against me and I kissed her cheek making her blush. After the marevel movie we watched a chick flick that Rarity got engrossed in. I wasn’t surprised, she’d always been rather ladylike and chick flicks were just things that ladies were into.
After the chick flicks she turned and kissed me. I was surprised and she said “I’ve wanted to do that for a while.” I stared at her mouth agape. She smirked and kissed me again slipping her tongue into my mouth and biting my bottom lip hard enough to draw blood. I snapped out of it and tried to pull away but she wouldn’t let me. I sighed in my mind and thought “I knew I wouldn’t get away with not kissing her after chick flicks, but I was hoping I could just brush it off.” She smirked and nipped my lip again sucking on it. I stared at her and she said “Now then, you’re going to let me be in control and you’re going to enjoy it.”
I flipped us over and pinned her then said “I’m in charge filly.” She smirked trying to use her superior vampire strength to flip me but I channeled my mana throughout my body and met her with equal force. This wasn’t advised by most medics because the body could grow to depend on mana preventing magic users from ever doing anything but enhancing their body and it could lead to mana exhaustion. She blinked and I said “I’m not letting you take control. If we do anything I’ll be in charge, you have a problem with that too bad. I don’t’ take orders from anyone got it filly?”
She nodded and I released the magic from my body so my muscles didn’t become dependent on it and kissed her nipping her lower lip and sucking on it. She moaned softly as I rubbed my knee up and down her clothed center. I wondered if this was the effect of having a succubus living with us or just held in sexual tension. Rarity smirked and said “What are you going to do with me, Mr. Officer.” I raised an eyebrow and she said “Well you are the head of a monster police force.” I sighed and nodded not liking the term monster much preferring extra species. Rarity smirked and said “So what are my crimes?”
I smirked slightly and said “Assaulting an officer, drinking his blood, and being so damn sexy that I can’t keep my eyes off you.” She giggled and we leaned in for a kiss. Rarity nipped my lip again and we started to get hot and heavy when I heard the sound of someone clearing their throat. I turned and saw Rainbow leaning over the bannister and said “Yes Rainbow?” She snorted and pointed at us. I raised an eyebrow and asked “Yes something I can help you with?”
She nodded and said “Yes. You can let me in on the action.” I raised an eyebrow. She smirked and said “I have no problem with you two going and getting it on, I just want to be a part of it.” I raised an eyebrow at her and she said “What’s up stud?” I smirked at her and she flushed slightly. She stared at me and asked “Why are you looking at me like that?”
In response I asked “Do you always talk such big game, or is it just how you were taught to talk since you’re a succubus?” She blushed and I said “Because it sure seems like you’ve never seen this happen before. I bet you get most of your spiritual energy through a kiss.” She flushed and looked away. I smirked and said “That’s what I thought.” She turned and glared at me as I held up my hands and said “Nothing wrong with being a virgin.” Rarity chuckled and I lightly bopped her on the nose to tell her to behave then got off of her and went to take a cold shower. I kissed Dash as I walked past her and said “Don’t lose your innocence to anyone you don’t love just because of your species.” She stared at me as I walked into my room to get on my computer. I logged onto my computer and got on a few messengers I used. I checked my messages then logged out and started playing a few RPGs to relax.
I stretched as I played not noticing two mares standing in my doorway watching me and wondering what a grown stallion could possibly want with video games. I yawned and rolled away from my desk when I was done then turned to the two mares and asked “Yes can I help you ladies with something?” They shook their heads and walked into the room then sat down on my bed. I put my fingers together and stared at the two mares over the top of them. Rarity smiled innocently while Dash tried to put out an aura of lust.
I sighed and said “I’m not going to fuck either one of you.” They blinked surprised by my blunt vulgarity and I continued “I might kiss you both, but I’m not going to have sex with either one of you just because I can. Rainbow you don’t even know what you want out of a stallion, you just think you have to be a sex symbol because you’re a succubus. When you develop your own personality we’ll talk. Rarity you think you have claim over me because you’ve been here for a few weeks. Not the case. Honestly what almost happened downstairs shouldn’t have happened even in the unlikeliest of situations because I don’t think I love you. Anyway if either of you need me I’ll be in the garage.”
I got up and walked out the door, with them following, then walked downstairs to the garage and walked in. I turned on my stereo and started working on the project I’d started when Rarity moved in. It was a specialized cooler. I just had to finish cutting out the mold of it and then I could work on taking it to a friend of mine’s to get it made. He told me he needed a mold to work with or he’d never be able to create it. I’d just nodded at the time and told him I’d get right on it. I pulled on my welding gear and started to weld the mold as it was needed. It was supposed to be shaped like a dragon’s mouth.
After about twenty minutes I finished and let the metal cool then leaned on the freezer located in the garage and muttered “Now I just need to load this up and take it to my friend. Yay,” I yawned and stretched then put my welding gear away and plopped down in a rocking chair I had for when I’d done long nights. I looked at the clock and saw it was only noon and muttered “Should I make lunch, or let them find food for themselves?” After a few minutes I sighed and got up and walked into the kitchen. I stared looking around for something to cook realizing that the food I’d stocked up on was almost gone. I sighed and muttered “Quesadillas it is.”
I pulled out the cheese and tortillas then started to heat up a pan using butter so the quesadillas wouldn’t stick. As I prepared to get started on the first one Rarity and Rainbow walked into the room. I glanced at them and asked “Quesadillas ok?” They nodded and I said “How many?” Rarity held up two fingers and Rainbow three. I nodded and said “To for Rare, three for Rain, and just one for me, half a dozen in total.” I cooked the first one and tossed it onto a plate then started on the second. I set it in front of Rain, then when the second finished I slid it to Rare. I started on Rain’s second as she and Rarity dug in. By the time they’d both finished their first I was done with the second for each of them.
I started on Rain’s third one as Rarity daintily ate her second, which was an odd sight to see. I mean how can you eat something so inherently messy with such grace and poise was beyond me and my capabilities. As they both finished their second one I slid Rain her third and sat down to eat mine. I ate slowly, but still managed to get my plate coated in ooey gooey cheese.
When I finished I noticed the girls were watching me and I asked “Something up, ladies?” They shook their heads and continued to watch me. I sighed and said “Obviously something’s up or you wouldn’t be staring at me. What is it?” Rainbow chuckled and Rarity sighed then stretched out and I waited for the two of them to tell me exactly what they were hiding or wanted to ask me about.
Rarity finally cracked and asked “Why did you say you wouldn’t mate with either of us?” I raised an eyebrow wondering if that was really her only question. She sighed and said “Also we need to go shopping soon.” I nodded and got up then washed our plates. Rainbow watched me, and I unconsciously flicked my tail as I worked. I glanced back to see the two girls staring at me with half lidded gazes. I snorted knowing my physique was slightly Olympian but that didn’t mean much. I just kept in shape because I didn’t know what would be thrown at me at any moment. Also I liked to spar with the local guard because I knew most of them from my youth with my uncle.
It was nothing to brag about, but it sure did get mares to give me a second glance. I sighed and said “You two can stop staring at any time. I mean come on; I’m not some Adonis that likes to be admired. I’m a bit more down to Equus than that. If anything it kinda creeps me out when mares go into Lala-land just because they are admiring my figure. Anyway, besides needing to go shopping is there anything you two aren’t telling me?” They glanced at each other as I stared at them then Rarity motioned for Rainbow to speak this time. She sighed and muttered something. My ears twitched, but I couldn’t make out much more than the words we need. I snorted and said “You’ll have to speak up Lady Dash if you want me to hear what you have to say.”
She grumbled then said “We need you to go with us to open up bank accounts. I have to talk to the pegasi about joining the weather team and Rarity needs to open up an account because she’s started selling clothes.” I nodded and stretched then popped my back and she continued “Also the contractors called. They said something about expanding the basement; I believe it’s to hold a new tenant?”
I blinked and said “Huh they work fast. They’re probably going to have to expand the entire house before the weeks through if they’re going to keep adding tenants at such a rapid rate. I didn’t even know they wanted me to house any other tenants. I figured I was done after you and Rarity to be completely honest, but whatever. I’ll call them back and let them know the day they can start building. Is that everything? If so, I think I’m going to go for a run.” They shook their heads to show they had nothing else to add then Dash said something about going to bed while I got up and headed out the back toward the forest on the edge of my property.
I jogged out the door shutting it behind me then stretched and started running along the well tread path. I lived in a town somewhere between Ponyville and the capital so I didn’t have to worry about the Everfree forest but I was also not near Whitetail Wood. I jogged along the path for a while, having slowed down after passing the twenty minute mark, and found myself hearing humming coming from the path ahead. I slowed down to a walk and approached it. I found myself staring at a pony who was sitting in a clearing humming to herself. I walked up slowly and said “Hello there.”
She gasped and turned toward me revealing that she had the ears and tail of a rabbit. I blinked and said “Ah you’re an extra species. That’s cool I currently live with two extra species girls, one’s a succubus and the other is a vampire. I hope I didn’t scare you.” She shook her head and I said “Great. I’m Shadow Heart, who are you?”
She smiled shyly and said “Hello I’m Cotton tail.” I mentally chuckled thinking about how like how we ponies named foals, her name fit her appearance. She smiled slightly and asked me “Do you live nearby?” I nodded and she asked “Do you have a reason you’re out at this time?” I shrugged and she said “Ok, so what brings you to my little clearing?” I smirked slightly and shrugged again. She sighed and said “You seemed so willing to talk when you first showed up, why don’t you want to talk now?”
I smirked and said “I do, I just didn’t want to answer your questions right away. Anyway I should probably get back to my place before the girls come looking for me. It was nice meeting you Cotton. I’ll see you around I guess.” She nodded and vanished into the forest while I turned and jogged back to the house. I walked in smelling of musk, since I’d run the entire way back.
The girls studied me from the couch. Well Rarity studied me; Rainbow however was asleep in my chair. I studied them and said “Can I help you with something Rare?” She shook her head and I said “Great. I think I’m going to take one from Rain’s book and go collapse in my room. I’ll make dinner when I wake up, what do you feel like having tonight?”
She thought about it and said “You feel up to making chicken parmesan?” I nodded and started for the stairs then headed up to my room to collapse on my bed and fall asleep. I only stopped myself from collapsing on my bed long enough to take off my shoes and shirt, then I collapsed and passed out for the next three hours.
I woke up a little past eight at night and walked downstairs where the two mares were watching TV. Rarity waved at me and I asked “You ok with Chicken Parm, Rainbow?” She nodded and I got the food out of the fridge then started to cut it up. After about ten minutes I had three breasts, three thighs, and six legs that were usable. I put away the thighs and legs, then slathered the breasts in sauce, cheese, and baked them in the oven. I sat down at the table and waited for the food to bake. The girls walked in while I was waiting and sat on either side of me. I glanced at them questioningly and they just shrugged. I asked “Guessing nothing good is on TV?” They nodded crest fallen and I chuckled.
After waiting a while the food was done and I served us each a piece. I’d grown used to eating meat because of Rarity, that and I had canines so I could eat meat without too much of a problem. As we ate Rainbow and I got to know each other. She was an athlete, planning on joining the wonderbolts, but had a history in working with the weather. Like pegasi her wings gave her natural magic that allowed her to manipulate clouds. She wanted to join the wonderbolts because they seemed like a cool stunt flying group and she thought she’d enjoy it more than staying in the weather business. I told her not to quit her day job and she replied “I’ll do both if I can. I enjoy working with the weather, but I prefer stunt flying.” I nodded in understanding then Rarity got into the conversation asking Rainbow about what mane care products she used and what she did to keep her complexion clear. I chuckled and tuned them out then the three of us headed to bed.

Well there we go Two mosnters down four to go. Next up is Applejack, Three chapters after that with the other girls then I'm switching stories for a while. If you want to see any particular pony leave them in the comments with what type of creature you want them to be and I'll see if I agree with it or not. That said on to the next one and I hope you enjoyed. Also the sex is coming, but these two aren't going to get Shadow too soon. Probably will be after all the girls arrive. After Applejack is either Pinkie or Fluttershy and I'm saving Twilight for last.
