Halo: The Pony Chronicles

Deep into the depths of space, far from Earth, a destroyed spaceship of the forerunners float endlessly. Drifting back and forth to no end, the once great ship Forward Unto Dawn now ceases to exist. Except for a blue colored pony with a rainbow colored mane and tail, who wore a space suit, flew towards the ship. Her eyes drifted over the big ship seeing the holes, the equipment hanging out and some even floating near the ship. The mare eyed one of the holes that penetrated the ship and went towards it. She was on a mission to look for the last hope humanity has to stop the Covenant. Years ago they had made a agreement that has finally been broken and now it is her who must fine Him.

This mare was sent to this place through shear unknown knowledge. She wants to head back home to Equestria but also wants to help the humans beat the bad guys. As she finally lands inside the Dawn she starts looking around seeing the dimly lit halls of pure white metal. Crates and equipment lay about and computers lay dormant. Heading towards the back of the ship, she felt confident that He was there. Broken windows and glass strewn on the ground, weapons lay about the skeletons of the fallen. It was The Covenants doing that everyone was gone, that the ship was destroyed but they forgot about the one who defeated them. As the mare walked into the stasis room, she looked around and saw a console in the center. On the right and left were empty and shattered stasis pods, but the lone one on the back wall held the legend of the Spartans. Frozen in ice of the stasis pod, he still looked awesome as the pictures the mare was shown.

The mare walked over to the console and hit one button and was greeted by the hiss of the pod releasing the air and thawing the ice. The figure inside slowly moved as the pod itself opens letting him out. The mare stared at him in awe of his size, his armor made him look strong and was a dark green. On his back lay his battle rifle and his right side held a magnum. He stepped out of the pod looking left and right before looking down at the mare and takes a small step back with his right foot.

"M-master Chief?" the mare asked

He nodded saying "How long has it been and may I ask who I'm speaking to?"

"I'm Rainbow Dash, sir. It's been years I think. I've been searching for you because They have returned." answered Rainbow while a glare to the side after referring to The Covenant.

"I thought we had an agreement with them for peace. Wasn't it signed 4 years ago?"

"Sir, its been 20 years according to the Forerunners..." Dash said looking up at his visor.

"Where are they now?" asked the Chief

"The Covenant are getting closer to earth, and the Forerunners are trying to get there before them. At this rate they won't make it in time." she answered

"Then we will just have to beat them both there and hold them off. Cortana, you there?"

A blue computerized figure, the size of two apples stacked, appeared from the console. She seemed to flicker a few times before calming and speaking. "Chief."

"Whoa..." said Rainbow as she was amazed at the technology of it. No one ever appreciates technology when something new is made. They abuse it or just use it till they can't anymore, but for this blue pegasus mare, she thought is was awesome. As always though she would think to herself that it's not as awesome as herself but still awesome.

               "Status for the ship?"

               "Most of the ships functions have stopped Working, but if you had to the docks command station you can activate a pod that can get yo-"

               In the far front of the ship to the back came a yellow wall of light that past through them before fading. It wasn't till seconds later when the ship was hit a few times with a laser.

               "Chief, I'm picking up Covanent ships outside."

              "That is not good." said Rainbow with slight worry on her face

              "Don't worry." said the Chief ever so calm as he grabs a chip from the console and pulled it out causing Cortana to disappear and he put it in the back of his helmet where her voice can be heard. "Rainbow stay behind me."

               He took out his rifle and started walking to the door. As he opened it, he scanned the outside first before stepping out. Rainbow fly in right behind him looking around carefully. Chief's armor seemed to shine in the last active lighting that Rainbow stopped and stared. Her mind told her it made him look 20% cooler and she herself nodded in agreement before she went back to following him. When he stopped at the next door, he looked over at the wall where there was two weapons and some grenades. He nodded towards it causing Rainbow herself to look as she flew over to them.

                "Take them and always take cover. Be careful. Do not underestimate your opponents. " he said to her.

                She nodded and grabbed herself a battle rifle and a DMR. She grabs 2 grenades as well before going over to him. He looked at her again and asked "Would you like to help me?" She seemed to smiles from ear to ear but then went to an easy going smile and nodded. To her she was excited to fight along side a legend. But not only that, this is her chance to finally be able to get home as well. Little did they know there war and journey is only the beginning...
