Love Knows No Season, Clime or Gender

Manehattan, 2 days before Hearth's Warming:

A blanket of snow decorated the entire city. Coupled with all the holiday decorations, central park looked like a proverbial winter wonderland. On a frozen pond, Rarity and Coco Pommel held each other close with the unicorn helping her little marefriend get the hang of skating.

"Just find your center, breathe and relax. Good, now hold your arms out and gently push yourself forward."

Coco tried to do as she was told, but she kept losing her balance and falling forward. Luckily, Rarity was there to catch her. She gave a frustrated groan.

"How do you make it look so easy, Rarity?' Coco asked.

"I've been practicing since I was a filly. But don't worry, darling. You'll be skating circles around everyone in no time. Now come on. Let's give it one more try." After helping her stand up straight, Rarity stretched Coco's arms out to the correct position. "Focus on what is directly ahead of you. Ignore everything else. There is only you and the open ice."

Following her marefriend's advice, Coco directed all of her attention on the the path ahead of her. She started out letting Rarity guide her along as she stuck close to her side. To her amazement, she had gone a whole five seconds without tripping. In fact, she felt totally balanced and in control.

Skating along the ice-covered river, her confidence began to grow and she started picking up speed. As her confidence grew, so did her passion. Her skating went from being clumsy to being graceful and dazzling. So much so that Rarity didn't have the heart to tell her that she had already let go of her.

The next evening was Hearth's Warming Eve, which saw Rarity lying sprawled out on her bed, feeling absolutely exhausted after a long day of filling out countless holiday orders. Her entire upper body was just crying out for some relief.

Luckily for her, Coco arrived home from her shift at the spa not long after Rarity had. Upon heading upstairs, she found her marefriend lying down, looking tired and drained. "Rough day at the store, huh, Rare?" she asked.

"Oh, Coco, darling. You have no idea. I've had so many orders to fulfill, I wasn't sure if I was even going to make it home in time. I love my job, but the holiday season can just be so taxing, you know? My entire body is killing me right now."

"Aww, you poor thing," Coco said in a half-teasing manner. She gave Rarity a sympathetic smile as she leaned in and placed a gentle, loving kiss on her forehead. "I know just what you need."

In spite of her whining, Coco got Rarity to sit up straight, allowing her to treat the tired mare to a nice back massage. She sighed in relief at feeling the professional masseuse work her own brand of magic on her frayed, worn out nerves. Her hands slowly drifted up towards her shoulders, the much welcomed pressure making her sigh all over again.

Rarity felt a bit of a startle when Coco's hands began fondling her breasts. Not that she didn't enjoy the feeling.

"Getting a little bold, aren't we, darling?"

"You said your whole body was aching. I take pride in being as thorough as possible when catering to my clients. You'd be amazed how much stress can build up in a pony's chest area. And with a chest as big as yours, there's a lot of ground to cover."

"Frankly, I'm surprised you would know so much about that," Rarity teased.

"Excuse me?" Coco didn't take kindly to Rarity's choice of words. It was time for a little payback. She unleashed a massive tickle strike on Rarity's stomach, making her cry out in laughter. "You got something to say to me, Miss Balloon Boobs?!"

Soon enough, Rarity was forced onto her back before she couldn't stand the torture anymore. "Alright, alright! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please make it stop!" Coco let her go and allowed her to breathe easily once again.

Hearth's Warming Day had finally arrived. Coco woke up early in the morning, put on her silky bathrobe, prepared her morning coffee and walked into the living room to find Rarity waiting for her on the couch. They greeted each other with a kiss on the lips. "Happy Hearth's Warming, my dear," said Rarity.

"Happy Hearth's Warming," replied Coco.

Their holiday tree was situated in the corner of the room left of the fireplace with presents scattered all around the base of it. Most of them had been sent to them by their closest friends. They decided to start with those. Coco pulled out the largest box, which was cylindrical in shape and decorated in bright pink paper with a hot red ribbon wrapped around it. This one was from Pinkie Pie. When they unwrapped it together and pulled off the lid, there was an explosion of confetti as something started to rise out of the box.

It was a three-layer cake decorated in white, red and green icing with the words Happy Hearth's Warming! written in blue on each layer. The top layer had tiny chibi versions of their faces smiling and winking.

Coco was very impressed, mostly by the fact that the cake seemed to have stayed in perfect condition the whole time it was under their pole. "Ooh, that looks delicious, doesn't it?"

"Indeed," Rarity agreed. "It certainly was a nice surprise. I only wish it hadn't gotten confetti all over my living room."

"Don't worry. We'll clean it up later." Coco took the cake into the kitchen to save it for later. When she came back, Rarity chose the next gift for them to open.

The second gift was wrapped in yellow-orange paper and topped in a red and yellow bow that almost resembled a sun. It was from Sunset Shimmer. There was an envelope on top of it with a card inside that read 'Try using this to spice up your next date night. Happy Hearth's Warming! Love Sunset Shimmer.' They tore off the paper and saw that it was some sort of board game called 'Labyrinth of Love.'

Coco looked on the back and read the directions out loud. "'You find yourself trapped in a maze and separated from your partner. The only way for you to find each other and escape is to reach deep into the darkest parts of your mind and perform the lewdest acts possible'? What?! 'Roll the dice, draw the cards, navigate the labyrinth and meet your partner in the center.'

Neither one of them knew how to react to something like this. They were surprised that Sunset Shimmer would send them such a gift. "This has to be some sort of gag gift, right?" Coco reasoned, trying to laugh it off.

"Probably. But perhaps it wouldn't hurt to just try it out sometime."

"I guess not. Who knows? Maybe it would be fun."

Setting the game aside for the moment, they moved on to the next gift. A small off-white colored box with cherry red ribbon, from Cherry Jubilee. When they opened it up, inside was a box of Cherry's homemade white chocolate cherry shortbread cookies. They each took a bite from one and savored their delectable sweetness.

"Mmm. These are divine. Cherry has outdone herself this time," said Rarity.

"You said it," Coco agreed. In that moment, she just wanted to sit there all day eating those cookies until her belly had tripled in size. But they still had more gifts to open.

On that note, Coco picked up a package that was wrapped in ordinary brown shipping paper and tied together with a thin string. Derpy's gift. Not the most impressive packaging, but whatever it was, the thought was all that mattered. Upon opening the package, both mares were pleasantly surprised to see that what was inside was a pair of brand new matching purses. One was aqua-colored just like Coco's mane and the other was lavender just like Rarity's.

"Wow. They're beautiful, aren't they?" said Coco.

"Oh, they're perfect!" Rarity agreed. "I can store everything I need in here and still look tres chic."

The girls were impressed. These purses were a surprisingly thoughtful gift for Derpy.

Now that everyone else's presents had been opened, it was time for the girls to open their gifts to each other. Each of them pulled out the other's gift and handed it to them. Rarity insisted that Coco open hers first. Inside was a brand new yellow dress with a floral appliqué and lacy orange trim. There was also a blu-ray for a movie adaptation of the Midsummer Theater play 'Nightmare: The Untold Story of the Princesses of Equestria.'

Coco's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Rarity. I love it. The dress is gorgeous."

"I'm so glad you like it, darling. I just know you'll look adorable in it."

Now it was Rarity's turn to open her gift. She was a little surprised at what was inside, but she giggled at it anyways. It was a strapless green bra and red panties. The bra's fabric was so soft and smooth that she just had to rub it against her cheek. "Oh, it feels so delightfully soft. Pardon me a moment, Coco." Rarity took her new lingerie into the bathroom, leaving Coco unsure of what to expect next.

Minutes later, Rarity returned wearing nothing but the bra and panties. Coco stared at her in pure rapture. Her marefriend looked every bit as hot and sexy as she had imagined she would in that particular set.

"Oh, Coco, darling! Thank you so much for these new garments," Rarity moaned as she slowly approached her marefriend with a seductive smile. She started rubbing her hands all over her breasts and lower form. "I just love the way they hug and squeeze my body. It feels simply marvelous!"

Coco blushed hard. She knew Rarity was teasing her, but she was really loving the show. She smiled back at Rarity as the latter jiggled her voluptuous rack in front of the other's face.

Rarity and Coco spent the majority of Hearth's Warming Day with their respective families. When they returned home later that evening, Rarity got an idea.

"What do you say we wrap up Hearth's Warming with a nice hot soothing bubble bath for two?"

"That sounds like a great idea. I could sure use it after listening to both my grandpas argue over who was cheating at cards. For the record, they both were."

"Splendid!"

The two of them headed upstairs to fill up the bathtub, which was big enough for two ponies. Once it was full, they removed all of their clothes until they were each in nothing but their birthday suits. Coco happened to notice their reflections in the mirror and couldn't help but comment on it. "Hey look. It's an absolutely perfect pair."

"Indeed," Rarity concurred.

"Oh yeah, and there's us too."

Rarity gave a sarcastic chuckle at her marefriend's little quip before sharing a loving kiss with her. They climbed into the tub together, where they sat side by side, giving in to the warm embrace of the water and one another.

"Happy Hearth's Warming, my love," Rarity whispered.

"Happy Hearth's Warming to you, too, honey," Coco returned. They held each other tightly while Coco nuzzled Rarity's soft bosoms like a pillow. "It's so comfy lying on top of you like this."

"Yes, as long as you don't start to tickle me again."
