Nightmare Fight Night (Spike x Goldenrod)

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Nightmare Night was here once again. And so was the annual Nightmare Night Festival. Games, food, live music and all the candy any pony could eat. And of course, everypony was wearing a costume. It was a favorite holiday tradition of a certain blonde busty teacher named Goldenrod. She was dressed up as a sexy vampiress with a long silky black dress that proudly displayed her tremendous cleavage for all to see, as well as a pair of plastic fangs and several tiny skulls in her hair in place of her usual green bows. She was currently having a conversation with her friend Twilight Sparkle, who was dressed up as Starswirl the Bearded.

Just then, two little kids in ghost costumes ran between them, bumping into Twilight as they did. "Hey! Excuse you," Twilight snapped at them in annoyance. As Goldenrod watched them run away, she couldn't help but be reminded of something.

"Hm. You know, that actually reminds me of something I read online last year," Goldie said. "This pony that I follow posted something that said that she and her marefriend's car broke down outside of an old house last Nightmare Night and, apparently, they got tickled senseless by a bunch of ghosts."

"What? Come on, there's no way that's true," Twilight scoffed with a chuckle.
Goldie giggled. "Well, regardless, I'm sure glad that wasn't me in that situation. I would've laughed so hard that I'd probably be a ghost myself right now."
"Well, thank goodness you're not a ghost. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do this." That cheesy remark came from none other than Spike, who snuck up behind his spookily ravishing marefriend and surprised her with a kiss on the forehead, much to her joy. She turned around to face him and gave him a big hug, pressing her gigantic open knockers against his broad strong pecs.
"Spike, you made it!" Goldie exclaimed, delighted to see him. "I've been looking all over for you."
"Sorry I'm late. Had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction," he explained. "Hi, Twilight."
"Hi, Spike. Nice costume," Twilight complimented.
"Yeah, look at you. You look just like Humdrum," said Goldie.

Spike had gone all out to make the most accurate Humdrum costume he could. He had the red cape, the blue boots and gloves, the black mask, the utility belt and the red spandex that only covered his torso and crotch. "Thanks," he said. "I tried to make it as close to the comics as possible."
"Well, I think you nailed it. In fact, I think you're the hottest superhero I've ever seen," Goldie teased, admiring her boyfriend's muscular figure in his costume.
"Well, you are definitely the hottest vampire I've ever seen."

Seeing the two of them getting all flirty with each other, Twilight decided it was best if she took off. "Okay, it looks like you two wanna be alone right now. I don't wanna be a third wheel, so I think I'll go try my hand at one of those pumpkin catapults. You guys enjoy the fair."
"Okay. Bye, Twilight," Goldie and Spike said as she walked away. "Now, come on, Humdrum. There's a caramel candy apple with sprinkles with my name on it. Look into my eyes and follow me!" She said the last part in a sinister vampire-like voice.
"Yes, my mistress," Spike said, pretending to be hypnotized. "But it's a little hard to look at your eyes right now."

Goldie and Spike enjoyed all the fun experiences the festival had to offer. They snacked on candy apples and deep fried vegetables and steins of apple cider. At one point, Spike ate so much candy that he nearly threw up. Goldie made him feel better by winning him a big stuffed gorilla from a balloon darts booth. This Nightmare Night was turning out to be a blast.

Even so, they still hadn't made their way to the main attraction of the fair. The festival always featured a sideshow full of extremely rare magical creatures and according to the fliers, this year, they had a creature that was really special. The two lovers decided to go check it out. They got in line at the tent for the Rare Creatures exhibit.

"So what exactly is this rare creature that's so special?" asked Goldie.
Spike looked at the flier. "It doesn't say what species it is. All it says is that his name is… Ahgg."
"Ahgg? What kind of name is that?"
Once they got inside the tent with the rest of the crowd, all they could see was an enormous cage that was too dark to see what was inside it. Then a giant angry-looking eyeball appeared in the darkness and the creature stepped closer into the light. It was a giant spider, roughly the size of a baby giraffe. It reared up and gave an unearthly shriek.

"AHHHHHHGGGG!!!" everypony screamed.
"Well, I guess that answers that question," Spike commented.

The spider creature known as Ahgg was a truly horrifying sight. He had one giant eye, four fangs dripping with venom and three claws on each of his front legs. Everyone was so impressed that they all started snapping pictures, despite the sign on his cage very clearly warning against flash photography. Ahgg was so overwhelmed by the barrage of flashing lights that he became enraged and spat a loogie of venom which disintegrated the bars of his cage, setting him free. After he gave another terrifying shriek, the entire crowd panicked and ran for their lives.

Everypony was in such a panic that Goldenrod and Spike got separated from each other in the mob. They tried to fight their way through the huge cluster of ponies, but pretty soon, they each got swept away and lost sight of each other.

Once the crowd had finally dispersed, Goldie looked all around for Spike. "Spike! Spike! Where are you?!" she called, but there was no sign of him anywhere. She didn't have time to stand around and wait for him, though, because Ahgg was on the loose nearby and she had to get as far away as she could if she wanted to stay alive.

Eventually, Goldenrod made her way out of the fairgrounds and came across an old abandoned industrial complex. She didn't like the looks of it, but she needed a place to wait for Spike and this was the first major landmark she'd seen since she escaped the carnival. So she stepped inside. It was dark and super creepy and it smelled like death, but at least it had decent reception. She managed to call Spike and gave him the location of her hiding spot.

"Okay, stay put. I'm on my way," Spike said before he hung up.

Suddenly, something dripped in front of Goldenrod. It fell down from the ceiling and landed right at her feet. When the mare looked up, what she saw was the very last thing she wanted to see. The spider monster was staring down at her with his horrible dripping fangs. She tried to run away, but she ended up trapped in a wall of webbing, which was so sticky that she could barely move. As Ahgg crept closer and closer to her, all she could do was scream and pass out.

When Goldie woke up, she found herself completely trapped in a cocoon made of web, unable to move beyond wiggle. The only part of her that was free was her head. Goldie imagined it was because this monster was so sick that he liked to watch the face of his prey as he drained the life out of it.

As Ahgg came closer and closer to her, his mouth drooling with hunger, Goldie closed her eyes and said a mental goodbye to everyone she loved. Her family, her friends, her students, her co-workers and especially her beloved boyfriend Spike. With a quaking shiver, she prepared to meet her fate.

Then suddenly, the creature stopped its advance as both he and Goldie heard the door slam open. "HEY UGLY!" shouted a familiar voice. Goldie looked down and saw the angry face of her superhero costume-clad boyfriend glaring up at them, with Twilight standing right next to him. "That's right! I'm talking to you, spider freak! Get your nasty legs off of my girlfriend!"

Spike now had Ahgg's full attention, but Ahgg just gave an angry shriek in response to his demand, which only made the dragon even angrier. And then, something strange started to happen. Spike's body started to change. His scales became harder and more defined, jagged spikes started cropping up from his shoulders and knees and his whole body grew to almost three times his normal size. The angrier he grew, the bigger and more fierce-looking he became. And the more his costume suffered. There were shreds of it all around him as his monstrous new form gave out a deep, ghastly ROAR!

Goldie and Twilight couldn't believe their eyes. Nothing like this had ever happened before. In any case, Ahgg took his earth-shaking roar as a challenge and attacked Spike by shooting a stream of webbing from between his fangs. The web hit Spike directly in the face, but instead of fazing him, Spike grabbed onto the string and used it to yank the spider down towards him, then gave him a mighty punch to face.

Twilight didn't know what was going on with Spike, but while he had the spider occupied, she decided to sneak around them and free Goldenrod. She used her magic to teleport Goldie down to the ground and then shot a magic beam from her horn that sliced the webbing clean off of her.

"Goldie, are you alright?" Twilight asked.
"I think so, but what in the world has gotten into Spike?"
The two mares watched as the fight raged on with Spike breathing massive fire blasts at Ahgg, while his opponent got several bites in with his venomous fangs, which would've instantly killed any other creature, but for some reason, seemed to have no effect on this one.
"I have no idea," Twilight answered. "But I'd really rather not get in the middle of that brawl."
"Me neither," Goldie agreed. "Besides, I'm pretty sure Spike's winning."

Suddenly, the tides of the battle seemed to turn as Ahgg scratched off bits of his own hair into Spike's eyes, blinding the furious reptile. Twilight and Goldie grew worried as he tried to rub the hairs out of his eyes, but to no avail.

Feeling confident and clever, Ahgg silently crept around to get the jump on the big dragon from behind without being seen. However, Spike's instincts kicked in and he resorted to using his sense of smell to detect the big spider. When Ahgg charged forward and tried to jump his opponent from behind, Spike reared around quickly, grabbed him midair and slammed him straight through the wall with a mighty roar.

Then, for good measure, Spike stepped outside through the hole he'd created and walked up to the spider that was twitching on the ground in pain. As if Ahgg hadn't had enough, the furious dragon grabbed onto one of his legs, lifted him up over his head, spun him around and tossed him far off into the distance. Spike belted out a victorious roar. And then steam started coming right off of his skin as he began to revert back to normal, right before he collapsed.

Now that Ahgg was gone, Goldie and Twilight ran to Spike's side. Twilight tried to stay at a safe distance in case he was still angry, but Goldie knelt down and held up his head to make sure he was okay. She listened for his heartbeat and heard it. Spike was alive, but unconscious. Now they could see how battered and bruised he really was. He was covered in scratches and bite marks and his eyes and mouth were flaked with tiny black hairs. They realized it would be best to call for help.

The next morning, Spike woke up in the hospital with his head throbbing and Goldenrod and Twilight standing over him.
"Spike, you're awake!" Goldie exclaimed, wrapping him up in a loving hug.
"Goldie, you're okay," he exclaimed back, wincing in pain. Goldie eased up on him and let him go. "What happened?"
"Twilight freed me from the spider's web and you took on a giant spider monster all on your own," Goldie explained.
"I did? It's so weird. The last thing I remember is seeing you trapped in that monster's web. I got angry and then I just sort of… blacked out."
"You really don't remember?" asked Twilight. "You turned into a huge savage beast and went berserk."
"What?!"
"Yes. Your anger must've triggered some sort of primal transformation. You were so out of control, we were afraid of what you would do after you beat Ahgg. Fortunately, you changed back to normal after that. Thank goodness no pony else was around to see you like that. A lot of ponies already have preconceived notions about dragons. If they'd seen you acting like a monster, we'd probably have an angry mob after us right now."
"Gosh. I'm sorry I scared you guys. I guess I'll have to find out more about that primal side of me."
"Well, we can worry about that later," Goldie chimed in. "For now, you just need to worry about recovering."

"What did the doctor say?"
"Well, there's good news and bad news," said Twilight. "The bad news is that, during the fight, your spinal chord was damaged, so you won't be able to move for a while."
"Oh damn," Spike cursed.
"But the good news is the doctor says they can fix it. You should be up and walking around again in no time. Plus, it turns out that dragons are immune to the venom of Ahgg's species, seeing as how you got bitten several times and never succumbed to the poison's effects."
"Wow. That's certainly good to know," Spike said with a smile.

Goldie picked Spike up by the head again and gave him a big cheerful smile. "Come here, you big brave fireball," she said as she began showing her gratitude by smothering her heroic boyfriend's face with kisses. Then, when she pulled him in for another hug, his face ended up right between her colossal boobs. His face turned red as a ruby, especially since Goldie was still wearing her vampiress outfit with the revealing neckline, so he was getting pretty much all flesh right now.

'Well, if I have to be paralyzed for a little while, it might not be so bad if it means I get to have hugs like this,' Spike thought to himself.
