Sorry this chapter took so long. Both writers had alot of life issues they needed to do. If there any comments anyone in the tournament wanted to add, please tell me so I can add it in.

D.S.B.T: Match 2 - Logan VS. Alexi.

“Give Spike and Snipe a round of applause, ladies and gentlemen, mares and gentle colts!” Master Hand announced as the two kids teleported away with their teacher. “The next match is..” Master Hand paused as the hologram screen came up, randomizing the portraits.

“Alexis VS. Logan Wolf! The location you’ll be fighting, will be…” Master Hand stopped in mid-sentence as the screen rotated through tens of stages. “Oh! A quaint little place known as Town and City from Animal Crossing which may or may not look like a Ponyville you’re all familiar with.” Master Hand said as the Final Destination platform moved locations, soon stopping at what looked like Ponyville, except the buildings were all located in different parts of the land.

Logan cackled at the sight. “Place looks better without your castle, Twilight,” he noted.

Twilight, who was sitting in the crowd, rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help but grin. “My library was nicer,” she admitted.

“Now, before anyone shows any concerns. No, you won’t be fighting in town, but you’ll be fighting above town.” Master Hand said as he gestured to the floating platform across. “I will give everyone five minutes to get something from the snack bar nearby or any questions you may have for me.” he said.

Logan glanced up at Master Hand before giving the Town and City arena a more concerned glance-over. “These guys aren’t in actual danger, right?” he asked. “Nothing we do will hurt them?”

“No, they are not as the platform is above the town and there are barriers in place to prevent stray attacks from going too far.” Master Hand explained.

Logan nodded. “Good,” he said. “Very good.”

Master Hand floated on over to the edge of the Final Destination to ‘sit’, waiting for the time being for everyone to enjoy their five minutes before the second round starts.

Logan began to stretch and warm up his muscles, as Twilight stood next to him with a book in her magic aura.

“Okay,” Twilight noted. “If this ‘Alexis’ has anything like the magic of the alicorn sisters, expect heavy doses of beam magic, along with some deity-like flames.
“Right,” Logan agreed, drawing his pack link and testing its strength.

“This match also seems based on a stamina system,” Twilight added. “So even if you can avoid ring-outs, don’t get cocky and start tanking attacks right and left. You may have been able to take it back home, but your body will give out here if you take too many hits.”

Logan growled down at his body. “It better not,” he grumbled. “I managed to get up after a dragon broke every bone in my body.”

Twilight shuddered at the memory. “Why did you have to remind me of that?” she moaned.

“Because I’m a jerk,” he replied proudly. She sighed.

“Just concentrate on dodging and whittling down your opponents barriers,” Twilight insisted. “I can’t get involved until the match is over…”

“And for good reason,” Logan replied, pointing at her. “I don’t like you being in the thick of things.”

Twilight smiled. “Aw. You care about me?” she asked.

He smiled teasingly before adding, “I care about your combat skills. You’re a beast at spell casting, but when’s the last time you’ve thrown a punch or kicked at something?”

She scoffed. “I’ll have you know, alicorns have super-earth pony strength. We’re more than capable…”

“Well, I’ve never seen it,” he dismissed. “So just leave this match to me, and if I lose, feel free to gloat about how I should’ve listened to you all day long.”

Twilight chuckled. “Deal.”

-A minute minutes later-

Dante smirked as he leaned back, his pale bluish gray eyes meeting Twilight's.

"Alexis is tougher than she looks, and just as stubborn as…. well… me. Guess it comes with our bloodline," he commented wryly.

Twilight chuckled. “Blood may be one thing,” she replied. “Logan faced down a full grown dragon. Didn’t stop fighting even when every bone in his body was broken.” She shook her head at the wolf. “I don’t know how you can get more stubborn than that.”

Virgil snorted. "Considering that not only I, but my son impaled this idiot through the chest and he shrugged it off, that should give you a big hint… not to mention the style she employs is one even I have difficulty with… how she convinced him to train her on top of what her Aunt teaches her… I don't know," he sighed.

Alexis stood as she let her wings emerge, the silvery gray undersides and deep reddish copper tops obvious.

Logan hummed, before letting six pack links spiral out on his back, making it look like he had glowing white, skeletal wings of his own.

She exhaled as she tugged free the sheathed katana from her shoulder.

"Only time I bring out Aevìternius is in a lethal situation," she commented as she set it aside. "Besides… I have no desire to maim anypony," she finished as her hand flashed out, a runic seal allowing her to draw free an ironwood bokken.

“Fair enough,” Logan replied, bringing up his claws. “I’d rather save the shredders for the real bad guys too.” He sheathed his claws and rose on his hind legs. His front legs proved to be effective arms, as his paws up into fists, which he then shadow boxed for emphasis. “Just don’t expect me to start playing fetch with your sword. I may be a canine, but I still got my dignity.”

A gentle amused snort came from Master Hand, but the moment Logan looked over, Master Hand was whistling innocently. Logan chuckled at the hand’s display of innocence, and kept his gaze on his opponent.

Alexis cocked an eyebrow. "Play fetch? Please, If I wanted to play that, I'd go for Winona. I was always more of a cat person, myself. Doesn't mean that I don't admire the primal power of the wilder side of life," she quipped.

Logan shook his head at her mention of cats. “Those pesky felines…” he grumbled. “You know, they're twice as dangerous out in the wild. Lynxes. Panthers... ” He chuckled. “Oh, they’d make you admire them out there, alright.”

“Get a room!” Another Hand said, causing Master Hand to raise up to look.
“...Damn it, Crazy Hand!” Master Hand said as he floated up over to his twin opposite.

“Furrrrriiiieeesss-” Crazy was interrupted by a slap by Master Hand, causing his brother to fly away laughing.

Logan glared after the odd hand. “What’s he talking about furries?” he mumbled. “I mean… no duh; I’ve got fur.” He glanced at Twilight, who had turned beet red and was covering her face. “Yo, Sparkle. What’s he talking about?”

Twilight didn’t look up from her hooves. “I’d rather not say,” her voice squeaked out.

Logan whistled. “Got Sparkle not willing to explain something.” He glanced to where the hand had gone with a grin. “Impressive.”

“That was my brother Crazy Hand. Don’t know why he decided to pop in when he was behaving so well.” Master Hand said with a sigh.

"Probably because sometimes a little crazy makes things more fun. Though I'm just very thankful that I never picked up that ridiculous habit of Yang's… her and her puns, oi…. by the way… you may want this," Alexis deadpanned, tugging free her belt buckle crystal… which also happened to be her Token. She flicked it towards Logan like a shuriken, who caught it without looking. "That way, if necessary, you can contact me after this little Tournament. Hmmm… wonder if this is how Liu felt before the Mortal Kombat tournament," she commented thoughtfully.

“I don’t know who this ‘Liu’ or ‘Mortal Kombat’ is,” Logan noted. “But they sound like they’d be a great story for another time.” He stored the shuriken in his armor. “You can tell me all about it,” he then struck a combat pose. “After we do this.”

Alexis smirked as she instinctively saluted with the bokken. Logan replied back with a two-fingered salute of his own.

For just an instant, her ultramarine-amethyst irises flared a brilliant iridescent emerald as a soft predatory chuckle, almost a purr, escaped her as she could feel Jade almost bouncing in her mind.

Master Hand floated into the air. “Five minutes has gone by, are you fighters ready to brawl?” he asked the two.

Logan cracked his knuckles. “Born ready,” he replied.

Alexis simply held out a hand, palm up, before curling her fingers inward twice in a universal sign. "Bring it, pup," she commented bluntly.

Master Hand, with a snap of his fingers, teleported the fighters over to the floating stage. He flies over the stage and then holds three fingers up, lowering each one as he counts down. “Three, two, go, GO!” Master said into the mic, paying tribute to the original smash bros announcer. Master Hand floats up into the air to keep watch over the match.

Grinning as Master Hand gave the go-ahead, Logan lunged forward with a maniacal laugh.

Alexis cocked an eyebrow at his cackling lunge. "If that's supposed to be intimidating, it's about as intimidating as Applebloom, bub," she deadpanned. She drew the bokken with inhuman speed, a whisper of "Tatsumaki Reppu," escaping her lips as the Iaido draw created a twisting gust of air that could dislodge a rival's footing though its range was slightly more than a meter and a half.

However, Logan was already jumping. And as the gust of air shot under his paws - making his fur ruffle - he flipped over her attack and delivered a kick to the small of her back.

“Don’t count Applebloom out,” he said with pride as Alexis stumbled. “The girl may be a filly, but she’s got a heart as strong as an alicorn.” He followed up with two punches and a headbutt, careful to keep his claws and teeth sheathed.

Alexis grunted as the kick caught her before she rolled backwards in an inverted shoulder roll, reducing the punches to glancing blows, though the headbutt caught her flushly. "Not bad, kid," she commented, not realizing her irises flickered a rich emerald as Jade peeked out for a moment as she shifted her weight into a sweeping kick intended to take his paws out from beneath him before just as fluidly into a low hooking back heel kick intended to stun with a strike behind the ear.

In appearance, her heel kick looked closer to the Gancho Giratoria out of capoeira than a harder style. However, the snapping strength behind its impact, had she not held back, could bend a three inch diameter steel pole with ease.

Despite her impressive kick, Logan used the momentum from her sweeping kick to transfer to his front claws. Doing a handstand, his hind leg matched Alexis’ kick, sending him back to his hind legs, un-stunned but with a stinging leg.

“Not bad, yourself,” Logan replied, before taking a more defensive stance. Awaiting her next move.

Alexis smirked slowly as she turned slightly before she threw out a quick jab, the energy projection being roughly half the size of a Mini Cooper's height, yet having a range of only three meters or slightly under ten feet. The ring on her opposite hand's middle finger shimmered an iridescent crimson as she could sense her bloodlust.

As she sent out her projection, Logan sent out a jab of his own, matching her projection in what looked like a fist bump. Electricity crackled out as he punched out the projection without faltering, but in the stands, Twilight winced as she saw his stamina take a hit.

“Logan, be careful!” she cried. “Remember your stamina!”

Logan paused, clenching and unclenching his fist. Though there wasn’t any damage, he could definitely feel… something. It wasn’t exhaustion. He hadn’t been fighting nearly long enough for that. But it definitely sent a shiver through his fur.

“Freaking figures...,” he muttered, before he went for a shoulder rush, his body already poised to dodge like he had before.

Alexis tilted her head as she took a controlled breath. "Hakke Kūshō," she whispered as she threw out two palm strikes, misty shadows forming the vacuum shells as the first went at roughly waist height, the second at knee height. She knew they would burst on impact with the equivalent force of getting hit by a beanbag chair.

However, Logan was already expecting the attacks. Dodging the projectiles, he shot by in a flash of lightning.

At first, Alexis thought he had missed. But just as she felt a feeling like she had been punched, Logan shot by her again, the feeling of his fist on her back only registering when he had already landed a good foot away.

Alexis smirked as she shifted her weight, a misty emerald aura surging around her as she shot forward, her extended foot catching the canine between the shoulders. "So you wanna play speed, eh? I'm more of a flexible fighter where my brothers tend to be more power or finesse… me… I burn bright… Katon: Endan," she quipped as she coughed out a sphere of flames thrice the size of a basketball.

Logan spun, barely managing to cross his arms and form a barrier of light. The fireball exploded against his shield, propelling him over the side of the stage. As he tumbled through the air, he growled as he felt his stamina drop again.

“Stupid stamina rules…” he growled, before unveiling a golden rope similar to a lasso, and throwing it, catching the side of the stage. “Well, burn as bright as you want!” he snarled, yanking himself back onto the stage and forcing Alexis back with a kick towards her gut. “The dragons’ burned bright. And so did Celestia!” He crossed his arms again, reforming his barrier as he took on a more guarded stance. “I took them on, and I’ll take you on too!”

Alexis cocked her head. "I'm guessing that your Celestia is a right cunt, hai? My aunt is really overprotective… though I can't say she doesn't have much reason not to be, with my mothers basically stuck on the Moon for another four months… with that fucker Sigma using them like batteries," she grumbled. She flung a hand out, a rapidly rolling sphere surging along the ground.

“Well, Celestia got my mom killed, so…” Logan grumbled, before her sphere clashed with his barrier, bursting into multiple showers of gold and dark reddish pink sparks.

As the sphere uncurled, it revealed a raven haired woman with a bloodthirsty grin and slitted golden eyes dressed in a pink so dark it was almost red. She briefly leered at Logan before vanishing into a gust of pale reddish pink fog. Even as she vanished, Alexis winced. "Shut up your whining, damn it. This may be a Tournament but it isn't like that one," she muttered with a shake of her head.

Logan tilted his head, but did not drop his barrier. “Who’s whining?” he asked. He glanced at where the woman had been. “And who was that?”

"She was a Kombatant that I fought and defeated. Suffice to say a much older Displaced than us… restrained her… but she won't be able to make any mischief. She's whining in my head about 'making a fur coat out of the pretty wolf' which I really have no intention of indulging even a consideration of," Alexis sighed. She grimaced as she rarely let Mileena out for that very reason, though, if she's honest, she's tempted to let her out on Sigma when her mothers return.

“Making a fur coat, eh?” Logan chuckled. “She’d fit in with the bounty hunters I had to deal with once. All of 'em were technically trying to get me back to Celestia, and so many of them thought she’d be happy with my pelt.”

“And she wouldn’t!” Twilight shouted from the sidelines.

Logan merely grinned, while his barrier’s energy transferred into gauntlet-like projections on his fists. “I’d love to show your friend how trying to get my pelt turned out for the others… but I’d rather not do any permanent damage to you.”

Alexis smirked. "She tried the same with this, claiming it would be 'a good trophy to pick my teeth with' as she put it," she commented, flexing her Devil Bringer. "Only thing she got in return for challenging me… was a good hard ass-kicking," she deadpanned before she smirked.

"Heh, and she relied on going unarmed, much to our surprise," Virgil commented thoughtfully.

"But damn if she didn't do us proud," Dante said as he stood on the edge of the stands before Virgil swept an arm under his leg, planting him with a thud back in his seat.

"And you keep wondering why I keep wanting to kick your ass," Virgil grumbled.

Alexis shot both her brothers a look, her irises glowing a brilliant iridescent amethyst with swirling ultramarine and emerald at the edges. "Keep that up, and I'll make Nero bitchslapping the shit out of you two look like a love tap," she grumbled as her killing intent spiked.

She noticed the light violet Alicorn shooting her an odd look that seemed almost impressed though she wasn't quite sure. Her gaze shifted to the wolf before, in a gust of bright bluish purple flame, the Devil Arm Gilgamesh materialized on her forearms and calves, the veins pulsing a soft crimson as the mask engaged over her smirk. "Pretty obvious we both like getting nice and close when we dance," she drawled as she assumed the Shaolin Tiger stance.

“That’s us,” Logan agreed sarcastically, forming a stance more akin to a street brawler. “Real cuddlers…”

Virgil paled slightly. "Ah, shit. When she gets calm like that..."

Dante grimaced. "Hopefully she never meets a Madara Uchiha Displaced… or Madara himself," he muttered with a shiver.

“Heaven or hell, let’s rock!” Master Hand announced in an attempt to provide encouragement to the fighters.

Alexis chuckled at the reference. She rolled her shoulders as she kept an eye on her opponent. "Not a bad Guilty Gear reference, I'll give ya that. Though I suspect Nevan would have far too much fun making this pup dance if I pull her out. I will say she makes a very nasty combo with Leviathan, though," she quipped before she pushed off suddenly, pushing off into a rising uppercut-elbow strike. Logan dodged, only for her to come down with an axe kick at roughly one-third her strength as she'd found with Gilgamesh she could strike just as hard as Applejack could buck, though she really didn't want to break any bones or cause severe injuries.

With a snap of his fingers, Master Hand decided to add a little bit of an effect to both fighters involving the devil may cry’s combo system, thus the higher the number of hits, the higher their rank will be with a little style in the middle.

Not that Alexis needed to worry about broken bones. Logan caught her axe kick with his barrier flaring. Catching her leg before she could jump back, he flung her into the air with a pack link trailing behind her. Just as she noticed the golden thread wrapped around her leg, Logan yanked down, sending her careening into the stage floor. Leaping up, he moved to drive his paw into her back.

Alexis winced as she managed to roll from the slam before she blinked, glancing down at herself as she noticed she was wearing the slim armored vest of Zero in the form of a leotard before a faint smirk crossed her face before she pushed off, somersaulting with a burning Flash Kick up at Logan, the flames a bright ruby tone. However, she didn't stop at a single, but repeated it twice more with more powerful bluish purple flames for the second and, unknown to her, the dark burgundy tipped ebony flames that her mothers were known for… the powerful Eclipse Flames… for the third and final Flash Kick.

Virgil's eyes widened at Alexis' use of Eclipse Flames, as they were known to be lethal, though he sensed that these weren't on the intensity level of Eclipse Flames as he had sensed how strong true Eclipse Flames were, but were Shadow Flames which were actually a couple of levels below Eclipse Flames. They were also the strongest she could use without triggering her Devil Trigger, which she didn't quite have control over yet.

"Still haven't forgiven that idiot Sage for risking her fighting a Sin Belial," Virgil grumbled.

The flames didn’t seem to bother Logan - at first. His barrier pulsed as he tanked the attacks, getting driven right to the edge of the stage. Though Logan’s eyes remained narrowed in determination, he could feel his dwindling HP. Glancing back at the edge, he rolled his shoulders and got a grin of his own as a new plan formed in his mind.

“That the best you can do?” he asked, widening his stance and opening his arms in a gesture of defiance. “What else ya got?”

Alexis hummed softly as she tilted her head before shrugging nonchalantly. She tugged out a zap apple and a Smash apple before tossing the zap apple at Logan. "Quite a bit. Kinda surprised me that this was in my subspace pocket," she commented as she tossed the Smash apple over her shoulder.

Dante blinked before shivering slightly. He knew that strategy.

"Now… you'll have to get past me for that healing item… and I'm kinda impressed at that barrier of yours," she commented thoughtfully as she pulled out the Durga Glaive and rested it over one shoulder, though in its inactive state it only appeared to be a combat staff.

Logan didn’t move from his spot at the edge, but he grinned at her comment. “It’s like they say,” he replied. “What doesn’t kill ya makes ya stronger.”

Alexis laughed at that. "Damn straight on that. Though knowing my luck, my idiot brother will fall for Sunbutt," she commented bluntly.

"Hey, I'm not an idiot!" Dante and Virgil shouted simultaneously.

"Dante, when was the last time you did anything other than sit on your ass and eat pizza when you weren't going after demons? Idiot… and Virgil's ego, at times, makes a supergiant look like a ping-pong ball to Celestia's Sun, so, yes, you're both idiots in different ways and at different times. Though I can't comment on that, considering I spent a month and a half dealing with Mundus' shadow spies in a looping nightmare every fucking night and didn't bother to ask for help," she sighed, shaking her head. "Probably got all of twenty four hours of sleep in that month and a half… fuckers," she grumbled.

Logan snorted before glancing at Dante in the stands. “‘Dante,’ was it?” he asked. “My advice on Celestia; she’s a lot better a ruler than Sombra or Chrysalis or some of the other psychos out there, but she’s got a manipulative streak a mile wide where I come from. If I were you, I’d be careful putting my junk anywhere near that.”

Twilight opened her mouth to protest, before shutting it with a grumble, unsure how exactly to protest what he had said.

Dante shrugged. "She'd probably rival this idiot manipulating me through the Temen-ni-gru just to awaken my Devil Trigger," he commented dryly, swatting Virgil's head lightly.

"If there's one thing I'm thankful for, it's my Alicorn and Devil Heritage giving me accelerated healing and mana regeneration… as I recall, after that mess awakening my Devil Trigger, I slept for…. I think... thirty hours straight because my mana and stamina bottomed out. Woke up feeling like I'd gotten kicked in the head by Chun-Li," Alexis deadpanned. "Though I did find out that Devil-Alicorn hybrids are extremely rare," she sighed. She didn't miss the look of great interest from the younger Alicorn.

“Oh-ho, careful,” Logan noted with a grin. “Interest Twilight too much, and she may try to cut this match short just to ask all about that. Speaking of which…” he reformed his barrier. “Feel free to make your move. I want to see what else my barrier can take.”

Alexis smirked as she held up a hand. "Funny thing is, when I checked on another Displaced I met… turned out that he was forcibly Displaced by one of those Dark Displacers… pretty sure he said it was Moridin from the Wheel of Time series. His cousin was Displaced as my partner… but this will be easy," she commented, her voice shifting to a deep accented purr as her irises flared emerald. In a matter of seconds, she shot forward in a gliding aerial side kick, no less than four 'shadows' trailing after her. Each Shadow from the Shadow Kick multiplied the impact force by roughly three-quarters, so, at most, it would hit with triple the force of a normal flying side kick.

As she shot at him, Logan grinned… and hopped off the edge of the stage. As he jumped off, he snared her with a pack link. And before she could try to skid to a stop, he pulled and ensured she went over the edge, snagging the edge with his claws, cutting the pack link and then pulling himself back up in one smooth motion. He walked over to the smash apple, picked it up and shined it on his fur.

“You’re right,” he noted. “That was easy.” He glanced back with a grin. “Too easy, perhaps?”

(Delta - I can say from experience that a good flying side kick or even a spinning side kick can take the wind from you if it hits squarely.)

Alexis twisted as golden vambraces formed on her forearms before she launched a pair of serrated kunai on chains that she retracted to pull her back on the stage. A small smirk crossed her face. "How do you know it wasn't deliberately too easy?" she purred.

She knew if Logan looked at the apple, he'd notice that a marking no larger than a dime was pulsing before it would detonate with the force of a firecracker in a burst of smoke as she'd purposely marked the apple with a detonating Smoke Rune…. however, she'd done something she doubted anyone would expect: she'd used Fūinjutsu to seal a stronger healing item [3%->7%] within the apple so when the Rune triggered, it would release the item sealed within: Cherry Pie.

However, Logan sensed something off about the apple - hence why he hadn’t eaten it the second he grabbed it- and chucked it at Alexis. As the apple went off in a burst of smoke, Logan and Alexis were hidden from sight.

“Like my dad always said,” Logan said from the smoke. “If it’s easy, it’s either the lazy way out... or a trap.”

Right as he said trap, two more pack link lassos spiraled out, seizing Alexis by her wrists, and trying to drag her into the smoke cloud.

"Or a prank," Alexis smirked as she dispelled the vambraces, jerking her arms back before launching a far larger Hakke Kūshō shadow shell, roughly two feet in diameter where the others had been around four inches in diameter, at Logan, the momentum of the burst shoving a large chunk of the smoke cloud at Logan. Then her human arm flexed, shifting with prismatic silver before hardening into a deep crimson arm cannon as she desummoned Gilgamesh as she opened fire in several strong shots that would hit like beanbags from a shotgun.

She flicked out her Devil Bringer, snagging the Cherry Pie in her projection. "I mean, what's wrong with cherry pie?" she quipped as she caught it.
“Canines can’t eat cherries,” Logan’s voice replied. “Our bodies can’t handle the cyanide in the pits.”

Despite Alexis’ movements, the pack links hadn’t faded despite her shifting her arms. Logan jumped over the cloud of smoke and the projectiles and yanked himself in like a slingshot, his back paws crashing into Alexis’ chest with all the speed and power of a truck.

Alexis clung to the ground with chakra, yet still skidded almost to the edge of the stage as she had engaged the stronger defensive vest of the Onyx Armor than her Zero Armor. Even so, a bit of blood trickled from the corner of her mouth as she gritted her teeth as she felt her stamina take a heavy hit. "Ugh… damn. You hit almost as hard as Hanzo… heh…" she said in a grunt before she shifted her grip, holding onto his rear paws before he could push off, "but you didn't think about what Virgil said… did you? Hakkeshou Kaiten," she intoned before she spun rapidly on the balls of her feet, a dense dome of energy engulfing them as she spun, fortunately, away from the edge, close to three dozen times in the span of six seconds before she let go of Logan, letting him tumble away heavily disoriented before she gulped down the cherry pie before she burped a bit. "Damn… definitely gonna have a bruise from that," she commented dryly before she darted forward, jabbing the deactivated Glaive at his joints as she purposely didn't activate it as she knew it could punch through Royal Guard armor fairly easily which was why she made certain every Guard of any rank knew to contact her upon seeing Reploids.

Despite his head spinning, Logan activated his barrier, his arms up like a boxer as he tanked her shots. His teeth gritted as he felt his HP dropping - admittedly slower thanks to his barrier, but still dropping all the same. Yet, patient as the wild hunter, he waited until she made a jab at the joints in his legs. As she stabbed the Glaive forward, he finally dodged. As her stab went wide, he caught the Glaive and pulled her forward, hitting her with a shot to the throat before tripping her underfoot, jumping away to gain some distance and try to clear his head.

“Okay…” he mumbled. “Maybe your brother had a point.” He rose and popped his knuckles. “But no matter what you throw at me… no matter how much stronger you are… I won’t give up.” He smirked. “I’d say, as long as there’s breath in my body, but I get the sense this tournament isn’t gonna let us take it that far.” He dropped to all fours. “So come on; let’s finish this!”

He took in a massive breath, as his fur glowed like Celestia. Images appeared around him; three other wolves - one white, another black, and another red. They were shortly joined by images of Fluttershy, Twilight and Apple Bloom. And as the six images swirled around him, he let loose with a howl, producing a massive vortex of energy and sound that swirled towards Alexis, looking to knock her not just off the edge, but out of the arena entirely.

Alexis' head tilted slightly as her eyes drifted closed before they snapped open as her sclera visibly blazed as her irises bled to a pale lavender but swiftly faded near her now slitted pupils into a maleficent crimson. She let her legs slide a bit further than shoulder width apart. "The recoil is a bitch with this one," she murmured with an, unknown to her, sensual purring growl. "Hijutsu: Senkū Rasentaiho," she whispered in an almost teasing purr as the pale golden crimson aura surged in the form of a two tailed Kitsune as a shrill humming built up as an orb no larger than a basketball formed before collapsing to the size of a softball.

Dante's eyes widened. "Aw… shit. She hit me with that once at about that power level," he deadpanned. "It not only put me on my ass and shredded my clothes, but knocked me about a third of the way from Ponyville to Canterlot," he said with a grimace as the blast released. If Logan's technique was intended as a hammer of force, Alexis' was like a drill… and hit like a small runaway train.

Yet, despite Dante’s words, Logan managed to lock himself in place. His claws dug into the wood, carving trenches into the stage. But he still stood his ground, even as the blast shredded around his vortex.

As the two attacks collided together, the watchers were briefly blinded by a flash of light. When it faded, both fighters still stood, confident smirks on both their faces, even as ash marks streaked their bruised features.

Logan was the first to move, taking a shaky step towards Alexis.

“That’s right,” he growled as he took another shaky step. “I can take… anything you can dish out…” He paused as a beeping registered. His ears flattened. “Aaand… that’s my HP, ain’t it?”

Twilight grimaced at the big fat zero blinking at his health bar, and gave him an apologetic look. “I did tell you to watch your stamina,” she noted guiltily.

Logan sighed. “Well... ain’t that a bitch in heat…” he muttered, before his body collapsed.

“The Winner is… Alexis!” Master Hand declared.

Twilight teleported onto the stage, immediately moving to heal Logan. However, he waved her magic aside, only using her to pull himself back up to his paws. Despite having taken Alexis’ attack head on, he still managed to walk like normal. But despite his apparent lack of injury, Twilight still kept a careful eye on him, noting the tremble in his back legs.

Alexis darted over to Logan, focusing a soft emerald aura of healing energy through her hands and forearms, though she did wobble as she slid to a stop. "Damn… you know how to hit pretty damn hard, don't you? Not to mention you got Kurama's attention in a way I doubt anyone has since Naruto… though I can say right now, gaining a chakra network hurts like hell… if I remember it took me a good four days for it to settle down so it was flowing through my body calmly," she commented, dispelling the Onyx Armor's vest, unaware that fragments of fabric almost immediately fell from her destroyed clothes.

Also, almost two thirds of her upper body was one big mottled bruise in shades of pale and dark red, purple, and blue.

Logan winced as he noticed her bruises, and extended a pack link to her. The injuries faded from her body, briefly appearing on him before her healing energy made them fade for good.

“You knew how to hit back just as hard,” he praised. “Your Equestria is lucky to have you.”

"I also noticed that your last attack twisted and contorted in the air upon release but smoothed out like a shield or hammer with distance. Had you kept it twisting or even compacted it for a tighter blast radius, it would have made it far harder for my blast to break through it. My attack acts like a drill or when you stab with a sword, letting the tip carry the majority of the impact, basically, and if you think this was bad… suffice to say, unlike Dante who actually did kill a Belial… basically a lion demon almost like Tirek if what I've read of him is true… I fought a Sin Belial to awaken my Devil Trigger… Sin Devils are around 65 to 80 percent stronger than their average counterparts, we've found, on average. Didn't kill him… but I most definitely left him with quite a few scars from the brawl," she commented. "And amongst hand-to-hand fighters, other than Magma Dragoon, only Hanzo Hazashi has pushed me harder than you did. My idiot siblings are strong in weapons… but only Virgil is half decent in unarmed combat," she praised.

“Thanks,” Logan replied, before turning to Master Hand. “So now what? We get our consolation prize and head out?”

"Who says you have to leave back to your Equestria? All I have waiting for me, basically, is two things - training and studying…. and quite honestly… I'm bored outta my mind with both," she sighed.

“Sorry,” Logan replied. “But I don’t like leaving Carol with the guards. I don’t know how the Royal Guards are for you - or if your version of Twilight has a sect of guards - but mine need a lot more training before I’m comfortable leaving them for longer than I have to.” He turned back to Master Hand.

"Considering my Twilight still has a few months before the return of Nightmare Moon and Luna-” Alexis began to talk, however was interrupted by Master Hand.

“That’s the rules, Alexis. He lost the match and thus will be returning home with a basket of goodies. What will you be having, Logan? You can either choose what you’d like, or have one of each.” Master Hand said he held out two basket. One empty, and the other a bit full. “Choose all of them, or choose from what's in the second basket and move it to the first basket.” Master Hand explained before looking over at Alexis. “Besides, you can talk to them later if Logan desires for his Token to appear in your world.” Master Hand said.

Logan immediately started seizing the meat related food items: the steak, the drumstick, the dumplings.

"Logan!" Twilight cried. "That's meat!"

"And I'm a carnivore," Logan replied. "What's your point?"

"W-Well," Twilight stammered. "You've gotten by on fish," she noted weakly.

"And now I have the option to have other types of meat," he replied. "Again. What's your point?"

Twilight sighed. "At least put in a salad or something?" she asked.

Logan rolled his eyes, but grabbed the mixed vegetable salad.

"Thank you," Twilight said, earning a grin and a wink from the wolf.

With a final salute, Logan and Twilight teleported away. Back to their own world.

"Meh… who knows what will flow in the ocean known as time?" Alexis sighed rhetorically as she turned away, her wings flaring outward.
