Chapters Legend of Starlight Book 1 (Equality)
Author's Note
Hellow everyone, ProyectV here presenting to you a short fanfic, i’m not sure but i think this fanfic could be consider a mini-series, anyway, before reading there are somethings you need to know, dear reader.
1) In this fanfic i’m going to asume you know who are the main cast and the secondary characters, so there will be no description of the appearance of the character, also i will asume that you know at least how the main stages look like, still i will give a short description of the place if needed (I want you, te reader, to have as much freedom as you can when picturing the scenes, so i will not detail most of the places unless nedeed or that i want you to put in context)
2) For understanding most of this you should at least watch the season premiere and season finale of mlp fim season 5 and 6. (To get all the references you should watch at least the Starlight’s episodes of the season 6)
3) Please do comment the story, it helps a lot to see what things i did wrong and what things i did well, even if you want to theorise, make suggestions or other stuf, it really makes an autor happy to read comments, but please, try to not be an asshole while commenting, let’s keep the comments section clean of curses or bad words.
anyway, that’s all, enjoy this little story called “Legend of Starligt” (LOSt in short)
Pilot
It was a beautiful day in the village of Ponyville, the birds sang, the flowers bloomed, a perfect day for a picnic and they would have done it, if it wasn't for a small incident that had them very confused.
"What does this mean, Twilight?" A mare in a cowboy accent asked.
"No idea, Applejack, but it can not be good ..." Twilight replies.
"Well ... I understand that the map sent us to other parts of the world to solve friendship problems ... but ... Ponyville?" Rainbow Dash asks.
"Not only that, it's specifically pointing to this castle ... and it's all our cutie marks," Rarity says, looking at them.
"What problem can there be in the castle that the six of you have to solve?" Asks a confused Starlight.
"Do you have any problems?" Fluttershy asks calmly.
"Well ... no, not that I know, I have my personal problems like everypony, but those problems are so personal that I don't share them with anyone or let them affect those around me, they are mostly doubts that I have about myself ... that's not a problem of friendship, right? "Starlight asks them.
"Well ... you locked your anger in a bottle and ended up with a series of ponies wanting to hit Trixie ... maybe your personal problems are not as far apart from your friends as you think, sugarcube" Applejack suggests.
"And not only that, there's the time when she brainwashed us to do whatever she wanted and that time she traveled to the past and almost ruined all Equestria, and the time when you enslaved a whole people for Silly and ...!"
"Pinie, I think Starlight already understood your point" Rainbow says, covering her mouth.
"Look, I know I've made mistakes in the past, there's no point in denying it, but believe me when I tell you, these problems are very, very personal and I will not share them with you" Star says walking out of the room.
"You don't have to tell us what happens to you, but if you notice that it causes you some problem in the way you interact with ponies, don't hesitate to ask for advice" says Twilight smiling at her.
"Agh ... it's fine ... I'll see you," Starlight says, leaving the room.
"So ... we're not going to do anything about it right now," Rainbow Dash asks.
"Well ... no, not really, Starlight has gained some benefit from the doubt and I have not really seen her arguing with anyone ... so ... maybe it's something else," Twilight says looking at the map.
"Maybe the map broke,it has received many blows throughout his stay in this castle" says Applejack giving it light blows.
"I don't think it's damaged ..."
"And if it is damage, hitting it won't fix it," Rarity says to Applejack.
"Whatever we must find out what it is, check every corner of the castle, Applejack, Rainbow, check out the basement of the castle, Fluttershy, Pinkie, look at the kitchen, dining room, and the first floor, Rarity, you and I will review the library , The second floor and the ceiling, we'll see you here after about thirty minutes to see what we find"says Twilight to the group with a slight smile.
"All right, let's do this," Rainbow says as each group walks by.
"Well, let's first check the library," says Twilight, walking in direction to the library followed by Rarity, the castle library was large, not as large as Canterlot or the crystal empire, but it was larger than the old Golden Oak library, it had one floor, but unlike Golden Oak this had three dedicated rooms each twice the size of the old house of Twilight, the first room was round, had several libraries dedicated to history and science, their volumes went from humanistic subjects like art and music to sciences like physics and chemistry, passing through computer science and medicine like many others, the room had two doors to the bottom, one on the right side and another on the left, the room on the left Was a round reading room, had multiple tables with wooden chairs surrounding them, there was an immense glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room, lighting with its light bulbs, on the other hand, the room on the right was different from the others, it was rectangular and had only one object inside in the center connected to a strange machine with a book in it, both mares advanced through the library checking anything out of the ordinary.
"Jum ... something serious is happening ..." says Twilight reviewing a library carefully.
"What is it, dear?" Did you find anything? "Rarity asks.
"It's not something I found, it's something that is missing, or rather, several things that are missing ..."
"It's just books, Twilight and it's a library open to the public, it's not uncommon for anyone to take a book" Rarity replies without giving much thought.
"The problem is that very advanced magic volumes have been taken, there are 3 volumes missing and they'r called "Handling of the internal magic" "Use of the external magic" and "Ways of creating advanced spells", those are a series of volumes very Peculiar to take ...
"Im sure it's nothing ..." Rarity says as the library door opens to reveal Starlight with a red book.
"So you found the problem?" Starlight asks, putting the book in its place.
"You see? I told you" Rarity responds to Twilight.
"Management of the internal magic? Why did you read that book?" Questions Twilight
"Why not read it? I like magic, I want to learn more about it, this is a library ..." respons Star
"Yes ... it makes sense, sorry, things of mine ... two volumes are still missing. Do you have them?"
"No, I just took this one"
"I see ... well ... I hope they get it back, I'd hate to ..."
"Twilight!" Screams a small purple dragon with green entering the library with a parchment. "Princess Celestia sent you this, the letter says important on the outside" Spike says giving it to Twilight, which indeed had a red ribbon that said "Important".
"Thanks Spike, I'll read it right now" she says, opening the letter and beginning to read it, as Twilight read the letter, his face became more and more serious until a point where she looked worried.
"What is it, Twilight?" Starlight asks.
"Apparently Princess Celestia needs me in canterlot, it's something related to a police investigation, does not give many details, but says that it is very important that i attend and assist them" says Twilight looking at it.
"Then let's get going" Starlight says to her with a slight smile.
"No, I need you to stay here checking the castle and taking care of it while I'm gone, Spike and I will go to Canterlot to see what happened, that the map points to the castle and then Celestia says that there is an emergency, they have to be connected, come on Spike , We have a train to take" says Twilight as Spike climbed on his back and they both left the library.
"Okay i guess, take care of yourself Twilight, we'll let the others know you'r gone" Rarity says to her with a slight smile.
"Well, now ... let's go on with the search ... What are we supposed to look for?" Star asks Rarity.

"Did you want to see me, Princess?" Twilight asks, entering the throne room next to Spike.
"That is true my dear Twilight, I see you brought Spike with you," Celestia says from her throne watching them both.
"I am Twilight's number one assistant, of course I was going to be here. What would become of her without me?" Spike asks smiling.
"I have to agree with you ...anyway, follow me" Celestia says, guiding Twilight through the hallways of the place. "As you know, things have been relatively quiet in Equestria for some time now, no one has appeared to attack our kingdom in anyway and no problem has arisen in the last weeks.
"Yes, it is ... a little weird, usually we do not last so long without someone trying to do something or the map sends me and my friends to investigate something, but today before coming here The map called us all ... but in our castle, which is weird ..." comments Twilight thoughtfully.
"Well, I'm afraid you're going to have to leave the map for a moment ... you see, something happened last night" Celestia says, leading Twilight to a room with a few scientists examining a unicorn lying in A stretcher connected to a hospital machine, he looked very pale"His name is white knife, he's a criminal, last night he was being chased by the guards and he escaped from them for a moment ... then they found him a few minutes later unconscious ... all his magic was drained - says Celestia in a serious tone to Twilight.
"Drained?" But that can only be done by Tirek ... Did he escape from the Tartarus again?!" asks Twilight worried.
"That is what I thought at first, so I personally went to check ... he is still there, when I mentioned what happened, he said he did not know anything about it, but he did say that 'Appearances are deceiving' "
"Then ... if it was not Tirek ... it means we are facing a pony that gained the ability to take away the magic from other ponies ... that is bad ... if it absorbs a lot of magic there will come a point where we can not stop it ..."
"Exactly, that's why we need to take actions right away, I need you Twilight to help find out who this pony is before it's too late ... you're going to have to leave the map aside for a while"
"Jum ... certainly this is more important than a friendship problem ... well princess, the girls and I will work on this, you can count on us" says Twilight smiling at Celestia.
"Excelent ... you can leave now, but first, take this" Celestia says, handing a folder to Twilight. "Inside that folder there is everything we know so far, obvious things like the pony has to be a unicorn and clearly advanced in Magic"
"Well thank you princess, I will take care of it immediately," Twilight says, walking out of the room.
"I should be the one giving the 'thank you' ... be careful and send greetings to your friends from me ... and Twilight ..."
"Yes princess?"
"We have to see one day when the future of Equestria is not hanging by a thread or because there is an event" says Celestia with a slight smile.
"Of course, Princess, I'll open a gap in Twilight's agenda to come visit her" Spike says with a slight smile.
"See you," Celestia said as Twilight closed the doors.
"A pony capable of taking away the magic of others ... reminds me a little of Star when I took off the cutie marks."
"You think it's Star?" Asked Spike
"No, I'm just saying that it reminds me a little of her, that's all, I don't think it's Star, it can't be her, she dosen't do those things anymore, anyway... let's go home, we have a lot to investigate," says Twilight, heading back to Ponyville with a goal in mind, to discover the pony that was stealing magic from others.

"So ... they have not found anything yet?" Applejack asks the group.
"No, we haven't found anything, and it's been a good few hours already" Star says in a tone of annoyance.
"At this rate, I don't think we'll find anything" Rarity says to the group.
"That's the thing, Rarity, we're not going to find anything if we just sit here and do nothing" comments Rainbow.
They had already spent their good hours the six mares looking for who could be the pony that had a problem of friendship in the castle, they asked the guards, recurring visitors and other ponies in the place, but couldn't find anything, the girls meet up in the room of the map and they separated more than once, they registered every corner of the castle, every corner of the same, under each table, in every room, even in the rooms that normally were not of public access, until finally they reunited in the map room, frustration was a common factor in these situations and it was about to make them discuss, while Rainbow, Starlight and Pinkie wanted to keep searching, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy thought there was not reason for it.
"We haven't been able to find anything at all for a few hours, Rainbow, I don't think we're going to find anything, no matter how hard we look" says Fluttershy.
"I have to agree with her, perhaps the problem is not a friendship problem, the map not only sends us to solve friendship problems, the first time we were sent to the village of Starlight to stop her, perhaps we have to stop someone in this castle before they do something bad"suggests Applejack.
"But what if it's something serious? It has already happen with Chrysalis once, we lowered the guard and she managed to capture us, we can't ignore a possible threat under our own hoofs"says Starlight to the group.
"True, there could be a new villain, or Chrysalis herself, or an evil sect, or Nightmare Moon, or Discord, or who knows what else!"Screams Pinkie altered to the group.
"Exactly, we have to keep looking, if necessary to get everyone out of the castle to see if our cutie marks change places with the pony responsible for this" says Rainbow
"Whatever the problem of the castle is, it's going to have to wait" says Twilight entering the room.
"Twilight. Why did Celestia wanted you to go to Canterlot? Is something serious going on?"asks Starlight worried to Twilight.
"Yes, something very serious" says Twilight sitting in her chair around the map "Girls, we have a new enemy in our hoofs" says Twilight to the group.
"I knew there must be a new threat, I knew!" Rainbow says triumphantly.
"We do not know much about him, but we know he can take the magic out of the ponies" Twilight says, getting a few reactions from the present ones, some of fear, some of surprise, one of uncertainty and nerves.
"They're going to DESTROY EVERYONE!"Screams Pinkie runing out of the room at full speed.
"I'm going for her ..." says Applejack leaving the room after Pinkie
"Someone able to take away the magic from the ponies? Are you talking about Tirek, honey? "Rarity asks.
"Ugh, Tirek ..." Star complains.
"Do you know him?"
"Yes, I've had a couple of meetings with him ..."
"It's not Tirek, I asked and apparently Tirek is in his prison in Tartarus ... whoever is doing this is quite possibly a pony, specifically a unicorn" Twilight responds, surprising the group.
"Wait a second ... how can a pony remove magic from another pony?" Rarity asks confused.
"Well, if Starlight was able to create a spell to take away the special talent from the ponies ... it is possible that someone could develop a spell to take away the magic of other ponies" Spike says.
"That's true ... one moment, you said that you met Tirek ... Have you traveled toTartarus?" Rainbow asks suspecting Star.
"No, he appeared in my village and took the magic of everyone, including my magic, it was not until a couple of hours later that the magic returned to me and my inhabitants thanks to you"says Starlight with a slight smile to the girls.
"Oh ... I see ... that's fine" Fluttershy says quietly.
"But you said 'A couple of times' What were the other occasions?" Rainbow asks, pinning Starlight to a wall.
"Rainbow, I think that's enough," Rarity says to this one.
"Why? I'm just asking you important questions related to the topic"
"You're pushing her against the wall and questioning her as if it was her fault" Fluttershy says.
"Yes, besides. Why the doubt with me? Didnt I have´earn your trust after saving you from Chrysalis? "Star asks Rainbow.
"It's true, if it wasn't for Star, we might not be here at the moment, he has gained our confidence by actions and is innocent until he proves otherwise" Spike says with a big smile.
"Well, I think it's okay ... but I'll be watching you ..." Rainbow says distrusting Starlight
"As you wish, Dash, as you wish," Starlight replies quietly.

"So ... a pony that can absorb magic ... that's easy, we just have to look for powerful ponies in the magic and the list will be reduced, right?" Spike asks.
"It's not so simple, Spike, the magic of a pony can not be measured by conventional methods, it has to be by someone who has a good knowledge of internal and external magic"
"I could do it" Star offers surprisingly.
"Do you know about the handling of internal and external magic?"
"Yes. How do you think I was capable of developing a spell capable of removing the cutie marks? "I think it's okay, so let's start putting working" Twilight says as she heads to the exit of the map room just to get Applejack and Pinkie peeking through it.
"Um, Twilight, we have a little situation," Applejack says to Twilight.
"What happen? Did you find the castle's problem?" Fluttershy asks.
"No, Pinkie here dosen't know when to keep her mouth shut and always exaggerates everything that happens, so she alerted the ponies that 'They were going to destroy us all' "
"I see ... Can you and Rainbow handle it? I have to get with Starlight to investigate on an efficient method to find the pony responsible for all of this"comments Twilight to both.
"Didn't we say she was going to track down all the ponies who were powerful users of magic?" Rainbow asks.
"Well ... I can do it, the problem is that it would take a lot of time that way ... we have to look for a similar but efficient method to detect the level of magic of a unicorn ... we will basically have to invent a capable artifact to read that level of magic so that the guards can do the magic scan" answers Starlight to Rainbow.
"Okay ... Applejack, let's calm the masses" Rainbow says determinedly to Applejack.
"Oh, Oh, can I help, Can i help?" Pinkie asks.
"I think you've done enough scaring all the ponies ..." Applejack says while Pinkie shows an expression of disappointment and sadness.
"Come Pinkie Why do not we cook something rich for all of us? I'm sure that when Star and Twilight finish what they have to do just like Applejack and Rainbow they're going to be very hungry. Will you help us, Rarity? "Fluttershy asks.
"I'm afraid not, honey, I have to do some things at the boutique right now," Rarity says, walking out of the room.
"Then it's just you and me ... well, let's cook something," says Fluttershy smiling to Pinkie.

"Erm ... Applejack, when you said a 'little situation' I thought you were talking about something small, not about this ..."says Rainbow dash watching the streets of Ponyville in complete chaos.
"I swore you it was small a few minutes ago ..." Applejack says, watching the ponies run in circles around the city.
"Okay, let's fix this, I'll take care of the disasters that the ponies make and I'll save those who get in the middle of those, you try to stop them" Rainbow orders, taking a flight to see Scootaloo from above, she was about To fall to the ground from a two store building.
"HELP!" Cried Scootaloo as her grip on the roof weakened until she fell. But the moment she started to fall, Rainbow caught her in the air and laid her gently on the floor.
"Are you okay?" Rainbow asks.
"Yeah, I was with Sweetie and Apple Bloom, but we were separated when a lot of ponies started to destroy everything in their path as they ran screaming 'They're going to destroy us all' "she says.
"Yes, I imagined ... How did you get up there?"
"The girls and I tried to reach the high ground to avoid the ponies, but we parted on the way"
"Well, come on" Rainbow says taking Scootaloo with Applejack. "Stay with Applejack, I'll find your friends" Rainbow says, taking flight again.
"Come on, we're going to take you somewhere safe" Applejack says, leading Scootaloo towards Twilight Castle.
"But what about my friends? I will not leave without them"insists the little pegasus.
"Mmm ... I think it's okay, if you're not going to take shelter, then help me stop the ponies"
"How do we do that?"

"Erm, Twilight, we have a small situation"says Applejack peeking through the door of the room with scratches on her face.
"SMALL SITUATION?!"Ask Scootaloo with the burned mane.
"I can see, come on Star, let's stop this" says Twilight leaving the castle flying out the window to land on the ground, while Star was teleported to the streets of the village with Applejack and Scootaloo.
"I'll take care of the fire, you try to calm the ponies" says Star running to a burning house turning off the fire by making a large bucket of water appear on the top of it and turning it over, repeating that process with each house. Twilight on her part tried to control the ponies.
"Can you hear me a ...?" Twilight tries to say just so the pony will get past her.
"Could you calm down and..." The ponies continued to ignore her, at which point a pony ran past Star, hitting a pillar of a burning structure, collapsing it over Star.
"ENOUGH! "Scream Twilight using his magic to paralyze everyone in town.
"Aw ... I'm fine" Starlight says, coming out of the rubble with a few scratches.
"How can you...?"
"Remember, good handling of external and internal magic, you can't immobilize me or take me with magic.
"True ... now ALL THE PONIES ARE GOING TO CALM DOWN AND YOU'R ALL GOING TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE THAT WAS DONE AND THEN GO TO THE CASTLE TO AN ACLARATORY MEETING!"Explained Twilight receibing noods of approbal from the ponies "Good ... now ... get to work, you have a lot of work to do" says Twilight as the ponies begin to work together to put out the flames and repair the houses. After a couple of hours the village was completely repaired, the ponies gathered in one of the conference rooms of the castle, there was some uncertainty among the ponies, but the atmosphere was relatively calm, at that time, both Twilight and Spike Entered the room, Twilight with a notes and Spike with a projector, which connected and prepared to use.
"Okay, now, surely all present should have their doubts about the rumor of a pony able to take the magic off the other ponies"Twilight begins his speech.
"Is that true?" Asks one of the public ponies.
"Yes," she replied, causing the ponies to start panicking and screaming.
"HE WILL REMOVE MAGIC TO EVERYONE!"
"WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING!"
"WE ARE DOOM!"
"Now, althoug it is true that a pony is being able to absorb the magic of other ponies, at the moment it's not doing so with innocent ponies"says Twilight To the group.
"What do you mean, innocent ponies?"
"This" Twilight says as Spike passed slides showing a pictures of the ponies without thei'r magic each one had a photo of his record next to each picture of the pony as a criminal. "Apparently he is only attacking ponies who have a serious criminal record, such as grand theft scale, kidnapping, among other things much worse"
"I stole a lolípop, HE'S GONNA GO AFTER ME!"
"I don't think a lollipop counts as a serious crime" Spike says aloud.
"Yes, so do not worry about it ponies, at the moment you don't have to worry since you have not attacked any innocent poni, but neither should we lower our guard, when a pony has such power and ability it is common to become corrupted, excess of power takes out the worst of us and we become something that we are not, that is why we must be attentive to who surrounds us, at the moment we only know that the pony has to be yes or yes a unicorn, the rest we know nothing, But that should be enough to give us an idea of how to handle the situation and find out, my student Starlight and I are working at the moment on a feasible method to detect the magic of an individual and thus reduce the list of suspects, until then do not panic, but do not lower you'r guard. "Yes, princess" said these.
"Well, you can retire" Twilight says as the ponies leave the room "Well, that was a problem solved ..." Twilight says, adjusting his notes and making them disappear.
"Are you sure you handled it the right way?" Star says entering the room.
"Oh, Star, I did not realize you were at the door. Why do you ask if I handled it the right way?"
"Well, you basically said the suspect was a unicorn ... Is not that going to make the village ponies resent theirs?"
"Star's right, I think it would have been better if you had not told them he was a unicorn," Spike says.
"Oh, nonsense, I know everyone in this town and everyone knows each other, no one is going to treat another pony badly just for a suspicion, it will be fine" says Twilight leaving the room.
"If you say so…"
"How is progress with the device?"
"Good, but at a slow pace, calibration is the hardest part, but once we find the exact point to calibrate it, it should be no problem producing them in mass"responds Star
"Excellent, now, come on, we've got to keep working on this" says Twilight coming out into the library hoping to solve this problem before it gets out of control.

Evil alies
It was a quiet night in Ponyville, the flowers lay to catch the sunshine the next day and feed on these, the birds slept peacefully on the tree branches and the roofs of the houses to get up early in the morning to Wake up the ponies with their beautiful song, the wide and somewhat simplistic streets of the village were partially empty, at this time of night there were not many ponies in the streets of the place and those who were in the streets were going either to the nightclub to listening to Vinyl mixing or heading home, the latter was the case of Fluttershy who moved throught the streets of the village heading home, she had left her house at the last minute to buy a few bands and products to care for animals because didn't had the time to do it during the course of the day since she had been very busy assisting Starlight and Twilight in what she could with its calibration of the device they're working on, it had passed a week and a half since Twilight and Starlight began working on the reader and they had hardly progressed, but considering how sensitive the device was, it was expected that the calibration was the most difficult part of it. While Fluttershy walked throught the streets of Ponyville, she decided to take a shortcut throught an alley to her house.
"Hello girl ..." a voice sounds from a corner of the alley
"AAAAHHH!" Scream Fluttershy hiding startled for the sudden voice behind her, after a few seconds she look at the poni"Oh ... sorry, you scared me ..." she says in a slightly altered tone to the pony.

They didn't know what to do or who to go to, they only knew that they had to save them somehow, both ponies walked in circles through the town until they managed to see a well-known purple dragon walking the streets of the village with a cart full of books.
"Spike!" Snips grinning toward him.
