Rarity had gathered her things and set up on a Manhattan roof. Her clothes were dark colored and light in weight. She wore a mask that covered her nose and down. Her top was a black midriff shirt with a heart cut out at the top revealing some cleavage. She had on dark blue short capris so that her knees were visible. A pistol with a silencer sat in its holster while she looked through the scope of her silenced sniper rifle. She carried a combat knife opposite of her pistol. She had an ear piece to call in her helicopter when her mission was done. A picture of a woman lay next to her.

The night was clear and there was no wind to interfere with Rarity’s shot. She had been waiting hours for her target to show up. She had to wonder how she went from designer to assassin and then she remembered why. Rarity looked away and pulled out a picture of her little sister. “I’ll make sure no one gets hurt, I promise.” She kissed the picture and put it back in her shirt. She looked at the clock and found it to be near midnight. “Anytime now you little S.O.B.” Rarity looked back into the scope of her rifle. The streets were nearly void of people. Her target would be plenty easy to spot with such few people and Necromorphs.

Rarity breathed slowly and kept calm. Ever since the incident with the Marker, people changed in more ways than one. Some were physically and some were just emotionally. She considered herself one of those emotionally scared. “Starlight, you should have been my first target and now I don’t know where you are. I should have killed you the moment i saw you but.” Rarity shook her head and focused as woman with an axe came into view through her scope. Rarity quickly looked at the picture next to her and then back through the scope. This was her target. There was no doubt in her mind. She held her breath to steady her aim and then waited. The woman raised the axe and hit the door.

Rarity didn’t waste another second, she pulled the trigger and watched as the bullet went straight through her targets head and out the other side. Rarity showed no emotion as she stood up and called in her transport. She quickly put her sniper around her and put an X on the picture o the now dead woman. “No more pain sis, this is for you.” A small tear slipped down her cheek as she thought of Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle didn't derserve her fate and Rarity was going to make sure Starlight paid for what she did.

Rarity sat down on the edge of the building, knee raised for her to relax an arm on as she looked into the distance. Soon her contract with the FFA or Femme Fetale Assassins would be over even if she didn't really report to them anymore. It's was really just a formality then anything. It didn’t matter though, she was a part of something better than what any government could give. While the government sat around trying to find people, the FFA took care of people the way they should. Granted, Rarity avoided what she believed to be the unnecessary killings her group was involved with. The government couldn’t do a thing anymore anyway, not since the outbreak.

Rarity didn’t have to wait too long before her helicopter arrived. She looked up to the helicopter and then heard something crawling up behind her. She pulled out her knife and flipped around. She quickly made a horizontal swipe and cut off the tentacles, killing the creature. She wiped the blood off her knife and put it away. “Stupid lurker.” She grabbed onto the ladder and climbed up. “Let’s get back to the tower.” She told the pilot and stared out at the city. There were so many broken down and abandoned buildings. Luckily, Rarity was able to help keep the Necromorphs under minimal control. There were hundreds of fellow assassins in every city. Unfortunately Starlight was still out there using magic to actually control the undead demons. “I can’t wait to get my hands on her just so I can send a bullet through her head.”

“Rarity, we will find her, don’t worry about that. We all have a reason to take her out.” The Pilot, Spitfire, wanted to find Starlight but Spitfire worried that Rarity was obsessed with it.

“Don’t try Spitfire, you know what she did to my sister. Don’t act like you can relate. Now do your job and fly will you?” Rarity didn’t get along with Spitfire all too well. As far as Rarity was concerned, Spitfire was the reason Sweetie Belle was gone.

Spitfire groaned but kept quiet. She knew better than to tick off the one person in the FFA that could take her out without hesitation. Unlike everyone else, Rarity was so good at her job that she was given free range. Rarity got to pick and choose what cases she wanted and everyone else had to follow strict orders. To say Spitfire was jealous would be an understatement. Not only was she beyond jealous but she was furious with their leader for making her oblige to whatever Rarity wanted. She felt like a slave. “We’re almost there.”

“I can see that Spitfire, you don’t need to tell me what I clearly know.” Rarity was irate but inside she wanted to knock Spitfire senseless. The only thing keeping her from doing so was the fact that all of the FFA would be after her if she did. After a few more minutes, Rarity was dropped off on the roof of a large tower. Spitfire said goodbye but Rarity just scoffed. Spitfire closed the door and then flipped Rarity off before flying away. “Dreg.” Rarity pushed the down button on the elevator and waited. While she waited, she took a look through the scope on her rifle and zoomed in. She could see Sweetie Drops and Coloratura or Rara as Applejack called her. The two were back to back fighting off Necromorphs from all sides. They were winning too but there was a sneaky one coming up on them. Rarity held her breath and aimed her shots. She fired in quick, accurate succession and blew off all its limbs.

Rarity lowered her scope as she heard the ding of the elevator arriving. She walked in and pushed the number fifteen. It didn’t take long for the elevator to arrive on the designated floor. When the doors opened, she walked over to the couch and sat down. She set her things down and relaxed until she heard Twilight. “Any progress on our problem?”

Twilight turned to face Rarity. She was dressed in a blue and red wizards garb. “No Rarity, I have no update for you and would you please stop acting so high and mighty. You can’t expect me to find something so easily especially without any help. The others are gone and with you playing assassin all the time, I’m left by myself.” Twilight growled.

Rarity stood up and clenched her fists. “I’m making sure that no-one gets hurt again, sorry if that’s such a bad thing.”

“It is when it’s not done the proper way. Unlike you, I’m trying to hold onto my humanity.” Twilight said measuring out some chemicals for her latest attempt to solve everything.

“I’m doing more than the government is, so back off.” Rarity sat back down on the couch.

“Let’s just forget it ok, we’re both having issues with how things are turning out.” Twilight exhaled. “I’m sorry by the way, I know you’re trying to be useful in this effed up world.”

“I’m sorry too Twilight, I guess I’m just so upset with how everything is going that I just; I’m taking my anger out on you and I’m sorry.” Rarity rubbed the bridge of her nose, she could feel a headache coming on. When she looked up, she saw Twilight with a glass of red wine. Twilight handed her the glass. “Thanks Twilight.” Rarity took a sip and chuckled. “What’s wrong with me Twilight?”

“Nothing, we lost our friends and family and now here we are trying to make sure we make our families proud of us. I only hope I haven’t disappointed mine. Sometimes I wonder if I should let my anger rise and take out everyone who gets in my way.” Twilight paused and chuckled. “Yeah, we’re both pretty messed up aren’t we?” Rarity raised an eyebrow.

“Yes and you may be afraid of what your family would think but I’m still trying to be a lady.” Rarity twirled the glass of wine in her hand and chuckled. “That’s so hypocritical considering what I’m doing, isn’t it?”

“Yeah but like I said, we’re pretty messed up but look at it this way, it isn’t our fault.” Twilight chuckled.

“ I suppose. Well, I’m going to call it a night, see you in the morning.” Rarity set her glass down and walked away.

“Goodnight Rarity.” Twilight sighed and went back to work.
