Spike was sitting in his room, wondering what he should do. Topaz truly believed he was dead, but Faust still wasn't convinced. "No... I've been running away from the truth for too long. I'm ending this now." he heard a knock on his door and said, "Who's there?"

Ember replied, "It's me hun."

Spike opened the door and kissed Ember before saying, "Listen, I need to be alone for a moment. I... I'm ready to face the truth. I'm going to confront my family."

Ember smiled and said, "Good luck... Bahamut."

Spike smiled back and said, "Thanks babe." after Ember left, Spike went into his shower and washed the green hair dye out of his hair, restoring it back to its blonde color. After that, he took out his mossy green color contacts, revealing his icy blue eyes. The last part was taking a makeup wipe and rubbing it across his eye, revealing a scar in the shape of an X. The voices in his head gave him support. He called Topaz, and when she picked up he said, "Listen Topaz, it's Spike. I need to be honest with you. I can't tell you this over the phone, I need to talk to you and your mother. In person. Meet me in the courtyard in half an hour."

After Spike hung up, Topaz told her mother about the call, and Faust said, "I bet he's just going to harass us again... But fine, we'll see what he wants." The two of them went to the courtyard, but didn't see any sign of Spike.

Topaz saw a boy she didn't recognize and said, "Wait... I thought Spike was the only boy here? Who's that?"

The boy got up from the bench he was sitting on and walked over to them and said to them, pulling his hoodie off, "Been a long time, sis, mom."

Faust and Topaz's eyes widened and they said in union, "Bahamut!?" and hugged him tightly

The boy hugged his family back and said, "I'm sorry, for all the pain I caused. I've been here the whole time."

Topaz looked at her older brother and said, "Wait... you've been Spike this whole time!?"

Spike nodded and said, "Yeah. I've been living as Spike since I ran out of money for the motel."

Faust sighed happily and said, "I'm so glad you're ok! I'm so sorry I pressured you into running away."

Spike smirked and said, "Don't worry about it mom. I'm back, and I'm here to stay this time."

Ember walked up to them and said, "Good to see your family back together, eh Bahamut?"

Topaz looked back and forth between her brother and Ember and giggled, "Is this your girlfriend?"

Spike blushed and said, "Well... yeah... Don't make fun of me Topaz! I've been with her for a long time!"

The next week...

Spike had been being referred to as Bahamut by the other students and teachers, but the girls, as well as Ember had still called him Spike, since it was what they had known him as most of his life. He walked into his mother's office after his last class and said, "Hey mom, are you ready to meet my foster parents for lunch?"

Faust looked up from her paperwork and said, "Almost sweetie, I've just got a few more papers to grade. Why don't you, Topaz, and Ember head off and I'll meet you there?"

Spike raised an eyebrow and said, "Mom... you're not trying to avoid them are you? I know they're not blood family, but I've lived with them a long time. This means a lot to me."

Faust sighed and said, "Ok then, I suppose I can get back to this later." she picked up her purse and walked out of the school with Spike.

Ember was talking with Topaz while waiting for Spike and Faust, and when they arrived, Ember waved to Spike and said, "Ready to go?"

Spike said, "Yeah. I just hope this goes good." The group walked into town and when Spike saw his foster parents, he waved, "Hey you guys!"

Spike's foster mother ran over to her adoptive son and said, "S-Spike! What are you doing with Faust!?"

Spike took a deep breath and said, "Listen, I've made peace with my real family, but you're still family to me. I don't want you to hate my mother and sister. I've grown up, and I've stopped running from the truth. I'm still your little Spike. But I'm also Faust's beloved Bahamut.

Before his adoptive mother could reply, his father said, "I'm happy for you son. It must have taken a lot of guts to do that. I'm by your side with any decision you make."

His adoptive mother sighed and said, "If you're happy, then so am I Spike."

The two families enjoyed a nice lunch, talking about the past, and their hopes for the future.

After they returned to the campus, Spike walked to his dorm with Topaz by his side. "Listen Topaz, I know I haven't been there when you needed me, and I'm sorry. But count on this. I'm not leaving a second time."

Topaz hugged her older brother goodnight and said, "I'm glad Bahamut. We're finally a family again!"
