Author's Note

This music is the music that is playing as Sweet Song starts to think! I would make up my own music but I know nothing about ballad so going on you tube and looking for pretty is probably best.

Memories Of A Past Preformer

Sweet Song ran into her house and locked the door she then placed her groceries on the floor. She took the cloak off and placed it on her bed, she then walked to the kitchen. Sweet Song opened her refrigerator and she put her milk. Eggs, butter, carrots, watermelon, and apples in the fridge. She then closed the fridge and opened her cabinet as she put banana's in it.

She then sighed and walked back to her second back, Sweet Song levitated the skirt and silk cloth over. She sat on the floor and placed the skirt on the floor. She grabbed a pair of scissors and cut out a ballerina shirt with sleeves. Sweet Song teleported a needle and thread over to her and she sewed it into one piece. She then levitated a pair of thin lavender tights over and stood up, she put the tights off and then the skirt.

Finally Sweet Song put on the shirt and levitated the shoes onto her back hooves. Music started playing as she started to dance gracefully around the room. She closed her eye's as she felt herself relax and a memory came into her head.

Sweet Song was a filly she was eight and she was still a blank flank. She was at the Canterlot dancing studio she. She was board until her eye's landed on a pair of ballerina shoes. Sweet Song blushed slightly and looked around. When she saw nopony was there she put the shoes on and looked at the floor.

As it was covered in the dance steps routine the owners had for the day. Sweet Song nervously started following the motions eventually she actually smiled. She kinda enjoyed this, she continued until she was confident enough to look away from the paper. Sweet Song started to freestyle a bit as her dancing became less robotic and more fluent. Sweet Song was so busy she hadn't even realized she had gotten a bit of an audience.

Finally she ended as she twirled three times and took in her surroundings. Sweet Song gasped slightly when she saw a colt was looking up at her in awe. She backed away thinking the colt would laugh at her.

"That was awesome! You must be a professional!" The colt said and Sweet Song blushed,

"I-I'm not a professional. This is my first time." She said and the colt gawked. Finally he smiled,

"Well you'd certainly bring any professional to shame!" He said; Sweet Song blush brightened.

"Wow I can't believe I'm really that good." She muttered and suddenly a bright flash came from her flank, she looked to see her cutiemark. Sweet Song looked at her flank and she squealed, the colt covered his ears but was still happy for her.

"I got my cutiemark! I got it! I got it! I got it!" Sweet Song cheered much to the colts delight.

Sweet Song stopped dancing looking broken as the music ended. She then sat on her haunches and started sobbing. As she heard voices ring in her head. 'Your probably the ugliest and worst dancer to walk the eath!' 'Ya know Chelsea is prettier then you'll ever be!' 'Seriously did a baby paint on you?' 'You don't deserve to be a dancer! Not even the other fillies hang out with you! I bet nopony would even miss you if you disappeared!' Sweet Song screamed and started sobbing hysterically.

Meadow had just come from her date with Blood Bones and had decided to stop by Sweet Song's place. She ran towards the cabin and knocked on the door. She didn't get an answer and was about to walk off. Thinking that either Sweet Song was asleep or was too shy to answer the door. That was until she strained her ears and heard crying.

Meadow put her ear on the door and she definitely heard crying. Meadow knocked on the door louder,

"Sweet Song! Are you okay? It's me Meadow!" She said and the crying stopped. Meadow half-expected to wait for thirty minutes and still hear silence. But she was surprised when the door opened and she was stunned when she saw Sweet Song was in a ballerina costume. Meadow's eye's widened until she thought they we're going to pop out of her head.

Suddenly Sweet Song wrapped her hooves around Meadow. And started sobbing again harder this time. Meadow was shocked beyond belief as she hugged back not wanting to be rude.

"Thank you for being there for me!" Sweet Song blubbered, once the shock wore off Meadow realized something. A grown mare was clinging on her for dear life, while bawling her eye's out, while wearing a ballerina uniform. Meadow blushed she wasn't sure what to do about this, so she just hugged Sweet Song making sure she knew she was there. Fortunately for Meadow she stopped crying and let go,

"Your okay?" Meadow asked. Sweet Song nodded wiping tears from her eye's,

"I-I'm good now. Sorry I......I just.....I just needed to hug somepony." She said. Meadow smiled and she looked up at the starry sky in wonder. Suddenly her smile fell,

"What's wrong?" Sweet Song asked quietly.

"I gotta go home!" Meadow said and she started to gallop away, Sweet Song walked into her house and was about to close the door. But an idea popped into her head despite the fact every fiber of fear in her, which was a lot, was telling her to not to. She did anyway, she opened the door and cleared her throat. Meadow stopped and turned around,

"Would you like to stay here?" Sweet Song asked shaking like a leaf as if expecting a nuclear bomb to destroy Canterlot. Meadow stared in disbelief, her brain was telling her that Cream Cake would need her. But her heart told her this was a one-time opportunity. And if she said "no" then Sweet Song might cruel up into her military grade, high security shell.

Meadow nodded and she followed Sweet Song inside. And she smiled as she realized that she now trusted her. At least a little bit.
