In Vinyl and Octavia's house:
I slowly start to wake up and look next to myself, thinking, 'Why does Octavia never wait for me to wake up?' I looked to my bedside table and saw my cellphone which read, "2:45PM." I thought to myself, 'Bucking tartarus, that's why she's up.' I slowly got up from mine and Octavia's double bed, then stretched and popped my joints and released a loud yawn. "Aaaaaayhhhhh!" I hate getting up because I hate going to sleep, but I do it for Octy. I scratched my mane with my hoof then got on all four hooves, trotting to mine and Octavia's bathroom, which is connected to the bedroom. I turned the shower on to have my morn... I guess mid day shower. As I was about to get in the shower, I heard Octavia scream.
"Octy?!" I didn't care about the shower, I just ran to Octavia to see... her... fine? "Octy, are you okay?" I asked her with concern in my voice, slightly panting.
"Hah!?" Octavia must have been surprised to see me. "Oh, hello Vinyl, are you alright?" I just stood there staring at the most sexy mare in all of Equestria. 'I just cant believe I'm dating the most sexy mare ever.'
"Y-Yeah, I'm good Octy." I just stood there, staring at her, she's just perfect.
"Vinyl, I have bad news." The moment she said that, I was pulled out of my thoughts as I stared into the eyes of my marefriend.
"Octy, what's wrong?" I was terrified with the tone Octavia was using.
"I-I have to leave a week, now I swear on Celestia name I tried everything to take you with me, but I can't." She looks to the ground. "I am truly sorry Vinyl, I must be the worst marefriend ever!" I ran over and wrapped my hooves around Octavia, who started crying.
"I'm here for you, always will be. Did you forget how you have saved my life? Before I met you I was nothing, I was dead inside. But you made me alive again, without you I would most likely be dead-"
"Vinyl, you could never die! Not for any reason, you're my everything, Vinyl Scratch!" I started crying from that. Who would have guessed that somepony like Octavia could have fallen in love with a nothing like me?
"I'm nothing..." I whispered and was met with a hard, burning, smack across the face, and was then pinned to the wall, and with a furious glare, Octavia screamed.
"YOU ARE NOT NOTHING, VINYL SCRATCH! Ever since I met you, my life has been filled with so much love and care that I cannot repay it! You are the DJ-Pon3, the best DJ in Equestria, the same DJ who has released 3 gold platinum albums and my marefriend. My first and only lover, Vinyl Scratch, DJ-Pon3." After she finished with her speech, she gave me a warm smile and a quick kiss on the lips. "I love you, Vinyl Scratch." Hearing those words made my heart flutter in my chest and a slight blush spread across my face.
"I love you too, Octavia Melody." I love saying that, it me feel alive. "Octy, when are you leaving for a week?" My heart fell when I said that, I hated knowing that she'd be going to leave for a week.
"Um... 6:30PM." She said. 'Good, good. We still got 3 hours and 40 minutes,' I thought.
"Maybe we could do something together?" I asked, trying to make the most of our time together.
"Like what, though?" She does have a point though. Oh, I have an idea.
"Hey Octy, I can cook us a romantic dinner for two, just us, what do you think?" I've always been the cook for the two us, Octavia may not want to admit it. Because, I don't know, it messes with her proper mare look or something like that, but I don't think she can cook.
"Oh I would love that Vinyl." So, it was set, I would cook a romantic dinner for us two, but what to cook... 'oh, I know! I'll cook Lasagna (vegetarian obviously) and garlic bread, yeah it's simple to make.'
Moving to the kitchen cupboards, I got out all the stuff to make it
"Okay, when its done, we'll have 50 minutes to eat and do anything else after."
Later, when the food is done.
"OCTY, DINNER IS READY!" I called to Octavia from the kitchen as I looked at my hoofwork. Two plates of Lasagna and two pieces of garlic bread, red wine, sliver knives and forks and two wine glasses, all laid on a lovely white cloth. When I was done looking at that, I saw Octavia walk into the kitchen.
"Oh my, Vinyl, this is lovely." She says as she wraps her hooves around me. "You always do nice things for me, Vinyl, so many nice things." I love doing things for her because she gave me a life, she made me who I am today, and if didn't have Octavia, I might not even be here.
"Come on, Octy, let's eat!" When I said that, she let go of me. She always loved food, and sat down to eat and I did the same. I then poured the red wine in each glass.
"Oh thank you Vinyl." I shouldn't give Octavia too much alcohol as she can get drunk very easily, like, two glasses is enough for her, but I can hold my drink very well though.
"Octy, remember not to drink too much." I always have to remind her of that.
"Yes, Vinyl, I know, that's like, the millionth time you've told me." As we ate, I could only think of how I was going to be alone for a week, seven days. I have never been alone since I first met Octavia, she's helped me so much. I've never felt so loved, my parents never cared about me, I had a brother but he... well, hurt me. Badly. I don't think about that anymore, it's bad memories, but all my good memories have began since I've been with Octavia, so I will be with Octavia, no matter what. I will always be with Octavia... this week might be hard for me, but I must be strong for Octavia.
"Yeah, sorry Octy, I just care about you is all." I care too much, I really do think that sometimes... more like all the time.
"I know, Vinyl, I should be leaving soon, I am truly sorry Vinyl." a single tear fell from my eye.
"Its alright Octy, I'll be here when you get back." I give her a warm smile which she returned, then she grabed her cello and went to leave the house before stopping.
"O-okay, Vinyl Scratch, it's just a week, not long, you'll be just fine... I hope."

Vinyl POV:
So here I am, laying in bed trying to sleep... without Octy witch is like the first time in ages...
"Buck it!" I say throwing off my sheet and jumping out of bad, making why downstairs.
"It's almost midnight and I can't sleep, might as well get something to eat and drink since I'm kinda hungry" I make it to the kitchen, make a hay sandwich and got some cider, sat down, ate, drank, watched some internet vids on my phone but after awhile I started watching a documentary about child abuse, my eyes drift to the very faint, but still somewhat noticeable, light pink scars across my left hoof, fealing a familiar itch I haven't felt in some time, last time I felt this was before me and Octavia got together.
"I promised Octy that I'll would never do it again... but maybe..."
I walk over to the far end of the kitchen, opening the drawer and pull out my butterfly knife I have in case we have a break in, but today it's not being used on a criminal.
I place the blade onto my skin, I take a deep breath and roughly cut my flesh.
I gasp in pain, accidentally cutting deeper and dropping the knife to the ground, witch is now dripping with my blood, I grip my bleeding cut witch starts to bleed more.
"Stupid Vinyl!" I scream to myself, still griping the cut, I make my way to the medicine cabinet just to find out that there is nothing treat myself with, I walk over to the sink, shaking badly from the loss of blood, I turn on the water, ready to let the cool water go along my cut.
My eyes go wide as I realise I didn't turn the cold warter... I turned on the hot warter so I pulld my hoof away quickly but in doing so I fall back hitting my head on the tabble becoming out cold.
In Vinyl's dream:
I lay there in my light blue ben, pain, all I feel after big brother has touched me again, fifth time today, why does mother tell him to do this to me... it hurts so bad.
I start crying wishing for the pain to end... for everything to end.
"W-Why... why mummy... why big brother... why" I say crying my eyes out, hating everything, hating when I go to school and all the kids make fun of me for my red eyes and white fur combo and... the cuts on my left hoof, except one girl, one very pretty girl, I think her name was Octavia... yeah that sounds right, we haven't really spoke before but she always stands up for me against those bullies, she's so nice to ne, I don't think she even know's my name it'll be nice to get along her though.
"I guess there's one thing to always live for" I say with a bright smile on my face as I start to think more about how kind and pretty Octavia is, I can't wait for tomorrow so I can speak to Octavia for the first time, we haven't really spoke before not really.
The next day in Vinyl's dream/ memory:
Manehattan School:
I walk though the main large gate to see the school playground, or in my opinion the prison with all the steel fences all around the place, I start to look around and my heart drops... Octavia hangs out with all the popular girls... if I walk over there thay will all just pick on me, Octavia would probably join in and I'll back to being completely alone.
"Um... are you alright?" it was Octavia but how could she know something was wrong, I then feel tears going down my cheek, I touch my cheek to check if what I'm feeling is ture or my imagination and to dismay, I was crying like a baby in front of this pretty mare, she's so pretty, I quickly clean my so it was like I never even crying at all, but with the slight blush and the pink puffy eyes it didn't do mush help the fact that I was crying like a baby in front of not just a pretty girl whose nice to me but a pretty, popular girl whose nice to me.
"Oh I-I'm alright, Miss Melody thank you though" I'm a terrible lier, thats what mum says anyway and it's ture, I bet she's seen right though my pathetic lie, ha pathetic like me. Octavia let's o punished ut a small giggle.
"Oh no need to call me that I'm Octavia or just Tavi or Octy to my friends" is she calling me a friend? should I ask? would she laugh at me? I'm just going ask!
"Um ah O-Octavia are we f-friends?" that's it I've ruined everything, she hates me now dosent she, the only pony I could have become friends with and now I never will.
"Of course we're friends, why wouldn't we... I always see you alone or getting bullied so I want to be your friend, not for pitty reasons but because I bet your a really cool pony!" She has the biggest and brightest smile I've ever seen, she's so beautiful.
We were having the best conversation I've ever had with someone at school but of course it had to be ruined by those bitches the preppy girls that always bully me, I can't see way Octavia would hang out with them she's sush a nice girl.
"Why ya hangin with this runt, Tavi" the worse one, Starfire a Pegasus, there 'leader' or as I call her 'The Bitch' she started the insults and the physical abuse and I don't even know why she does it I've never done anything to her or it might just be for kicks, I don't know.
"Star can't you leave Vinyl alone for just one day?" wow, Octavia was protecting me? I don't understand, why would anyone want to protect someone like me?
"Wait don't tell me your going soft on is us, Tavi like your the one who told us it pick on this goddamn runt at the beginning" wait is that ture? Was it Octavia? Why would she do this? Does she hate me? No, she's my friend! Right?
"Yes I did, once, just once, when I was in your group of bitches, now I may hang out with you but I'm not in your group anymore! I'M NOT A BULLY!! Not anymore... not like you" Wow... that sounds genuine but how can I be sure?
"WE'RE the bitches? well so are you and always will be, Octavia. A 'bitch' like me, your mother and the runts mother!" My... mother? yeah she's not great, at all really, but what she got to do with Tavi's mother... nothing for I know.
FIRST BELL INDICATING FIRST LESSON
"We'll talk about this later" Starfire to Tavi in a surprisingly calm voice as she walked off, no matter how calm it is it's still terrifying.
"Come on Vinyl, let's get to class" Tavi said to me as she wrapped her fore leg around me and we walked to class.

"Haaaa" I yawn as I wake up from my dream but it was also a memory from way back when I was in school and I mean way back... but I don't seem to remember that day or Octy being a bully "ah whatever I needed some sleep anyway" I look down at my wrist and see the blood drying up the cut "well at least that sorted, Vinyl you idiot".
"I should probably get a shower and put my proper glasses on, I can barely see" I then think for a quick moment "Good Job, Vinyl Scratch... your talking to yourself"
