“Mommy… Wake up mommy…. Please?.. Mommy??? Please wake up!” There groveled a colt, his hooves embracing a corpse. “WAKE UP!” The unicorn screamed punching it in the torso, making a small hole. Once he forced his hoof out it made the hole bigger, causing guts blood and over-all gore splatter out like spilt Jell-O. The colt stood in the middle of a newly ruined town. Fires burned near everything, rubble covered most everything, and everything in general, was just gone. The dead riddled the streets. A lot of them burned, more of them crushed, more still were torn a thunder. Basically, it was a horrific sight. Suffering an attack from the Dragon’s Kin normally wouldn’t leave anypony alive, yet this kid made it; he seemed to be the only survivor. “MOMMY!!!” he yelled before crying buckets, realizing just then that his mother wasn’t going to wake up…

A griffon in the middle of nowhere, harvesting some shrubbery when out of nowhere she heard roars off in the distance, followed by screams of terror. The griffon bolted skywards to see where the horror originated. Now… Was this griffon the type to go in head first into danger? Buck No! She’s even a little selfish too but nothing deserves to go through the horrors she was imagining. However when she got there, all the stuff she imagine did not compare to the sight she witnessed. She quickly hid behind a large pile of rock the moment she saw three dragons begin to fly off a newly ruined town. It was a minute or so when they where far enough to become blurs in the wind, and then she jumped upon hearing a child screaming for his mother. She swore under her breath as she clinched her claws, fisting the air. “A survivor. Damn it” she took a breath, composed herself then started flying to the ruins.

………………………………………………………………………………

When the griffon made it to the ruins she looked around for a bit. She gasped upon seeing the colt sobbing and embracing a corpse of a mare. The griffon’s heart shattered at the sight. Taking a deep breath she slowly walked up to the colt. She saw he was pale green with a jet-black mane, a tail, mostly burnt off and his entire left side was battered, broken and burned beyond repair, so thought the griffon. “Hello?” she said once she thought she was close enough.

The colt jerked up and turned in surprise. “NO! Stay Away!” he yelped.

The griffon stopped, she knew that this colt must have been through the most terrifying ordeal of his short life has ever seen. “Hay…” she blurted out. “Hay there.” saying it a bit calmer. “Look, kid…” She wanted to take things slowly, however fait didn’t like that.

“So, Is this your pony?” a deep voice came from just a little above the pair.

The griffon went wide-eyed for a second, knowing what that voice was. She turned around with a smile. A pudgy mid-sized yellow dragon, gnawing on a leg of a changeling. “Yes… yes it is.” She said. When the colt heard that he stopped his tears and glared at the both of them. The dragon deadpanned at the pair and the griffin’s smile became sheepish. She turned to the colt and mouthed “Please, play along.” If the colt actually understood the griffon didn’t know.

“Then tell it to stop that.” He growled.

“Yes sir.” The griffon said turning back to face the dragon then kicking the colt in the face. She held back cringing, thinking that she just hit a kid, hard.

The dragon grinned. “Now, I don’t care why you’re here, just pick up that filth and leave before I’m done eating and I’ll call it good. Savvy?” he said.

“Y-yes sir.” The griffon said turning around once more to find the colt unconscious. “Damn, I’m sorry.” She mumbled. Her gaze went to the corpse. “And I’m sorry to you too.” She heard the dragon walking away after that. “Ok, not out of the woods yet.” She sighed as she walked up to the sleeping colt. She picked him up and flew off, leaving the horror behind.

Within a decade…

Jester Jade grew up with a griffon for a mother. Turns out that griffons were treated near the same as ponies. The only real difference was the little rights the griffons had. The only reason why they had rights compared to ponies was because the dragons thought that griffons were stronger then ponies. That’s it. The only line between the two races. The griffons name was Harla Storm. It was lucky for Jade to be found by her. She was one of the griffons secretly raging war on the dragons and had connections that helped Jade in the long run. He did make a stronger bond to Harla then she herself didn’t like. Harla made it a point to tell the colt that she wasn’t his real mother from time to time.

JJ found out he had a talent for Impersonating others and impressions. So he honed his magical skill to do one vary specific thing. Hypnosis, to work with his talent. It was to the point where he didn’t need eye contact, however he is a rather impatient pony, which hinders his efforts.

He developed A vary energetic and a bubbly personality. However he did get some traits from Harla too. Like her greediness.

When JJ spoke of the Elements of Harmony, Harla told him straight up that myths were useless; that hope is swell and all but action to her was the better option. So Jade forgot about it… Matter of fact he almost forgot his birth mother do to his unwavering focus. Only thing that reminded him was that Harla was a griffon and he, a pony.

“You ready JJ?”

“Of course.”

There stood a griffon and a pony on the edge of a cliff, looking over a city of stone. The city itself was a part of a mountain, half of it carved away.

The unicorn carrying a few bags of dynamite, the griffon a bag of tools and supplies. Suddenly the griffon jumped off and spread her wings. The unicorn jumped on her back. The pair glided down to the tallest of the buildings there. A tower really. Kind of looked like a top with holes for windows. The pair landed on the roof as the few dragons popped out of the holes. The pair crouched and moved back a little, trying not to be seen.

“Well that was easy.” JJ said when he thought the dragons were far enough away.

“Speak for yourself.” Harla replied. “I had to carry the extra weight.” She said as JJ smiled.

JJ walked up to the edge and looked down. “You know, I never thought this before but dragons are really poor designers, aren’t they?”

Harla walked up next to him. “Yes, and that makes this the easiest idea that I ever had, thee it be a bit stupid.”

“Stupid?” JJ said looking at her.

“Yeah. To many future complications keep popping up in my head if we do this.” Harla said turning around and walking to the other side. “Destroying the place where they maintain order… Well, the little order they have.” She sighed.

“You’re afraid that Discord could come back.” JJ said following her.

“I know he’s dead, but I can’t help it.” She said ending with a chuckle.

JJ put a hoof on her side. “Sorry, we need to move Harla.” He said pulling out a rope from her bag.

“Your right.” She sighed, pulling out a holster as JJ tied a noose on one edge of the rope. He then put in under his left hind hoof. Harla meantime was putting on the holster. JJ then past the other end of the rope to her. She then tied it up ever which way. When she felt satisfied, she gave a little tug and smiled.

“Over doing it maybe?” JJ asked giving out a little chuckle. “You look like a dominatrix.”

Harla frown as she gawked at JJ. “And where pray tell did you learn what a Dominatrix was?” she smile with some prejudice.

“Oh Come now.” JJ said smiling. “I’m fifteen, I was curious. However I don’t think I’m ever going to do that again.”

Harla scowled at JJ. “And you couldn’t ask me about it because?” she asked.

“You were making plans at the time.” He replied.

Harla sighed. “Fine…” She said with clear trepidation. But we’re still talking about this later.” She said taking a step off the building.

“Yes MahaaaaAAAAAAAA” JJ said as Harla jumped off, pulling JJ with her.

Thirteen dragons all of sorts sat around, a round table like slab of stone, conversing with each other. “So gentlemen. Next on the list is… What are we doing about the harpy?” the biggest one on the back edged asked.

“I would love to know actually.” A small sapphire dragoness asked. “Like how this terrorist is so much different then the rest of them” She asked.

“Because miss, she’s doing some real damage to our way of life.” An orange one across from her spouted out.

Suddenly everyone heard a scream from outside. Half of them jumped out and looked out of the windows of the room. The half of them gasped to see a griffon and a pony in the air jetting downwards.

“What is it?” a green one asked.

“The Harpy!” a bronze dragon yelled back.

The rest of them gasped and took a moment to process the situation. The big one in the back then went wide-eyed. “EVERY DRAGON OUT!” he roared. Suddenly the lot of them heard thunder then felt a few tremors. Then a few seconds later felt the floor tilting a little, then a little more, little more… “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU IDIOTS WAITING FOR!!!???” he roared as he jumped up and stormed through a wall. The rest of them soon followed through. Hovering in the air, there were hundreds of dragons watching the upcoming horror about to fall upon their capital. The building itself was actually rather big. Could vary well destroy a few city blocks easily and it was slowly falling on it. “EVERYONE! OUTSIDE NOW!!!” he roared ever louder. Dragon then started popping out of holes riddles throughout the city. There were now at least over a thousand dragons up in the air and more were still coming out, however the giant top crashed down, killing what seemed to be hundreds still inside whatever structure was underneath.

The thirteen dragons from before all hovered around each other. “Speak of the Devil and he shall appear.” A gold one said.

“Shut up.” The sapphire said. “How many you think she just killed? Hah.”

“Hundreds… at least.” The biggest one replied gawking at the destruction that just occurred. A moment later. “I was thinking on just imprisoning her… After this though… what do you all think?”

“We Kill her.” The Sapphire replied first.

The rest of them agreed…

………………………………………………………………………………

A week later, at the home of one Harla and Jester Jade. There stood the young stallion in the mists of a burning house. He was in shock. Remembering everything that happened to him ten years ago. Seeing Harla dead and burnt to a crisp, on the floor in front of him was what did it.

“So, this was Harla’s place.” A voice came from behind JJ. He spun around and glared at a young looking, purple scaled, bipedal dragon. “I know how this feels…” This dragon seemed off to JJ. Firstly he was smaller then most dragons, only like, seven feet. Then he sounded like he was trying to be… friendly. To a Pony…

“Like Hell you do!” JJ Spat out. “What? You here to end me!?”

“No…” the dragon replied plainly.

“Then what?!” JJ asked. The dragon just sighed and sat down on the spot. “I asked, Why you’re here?” JJ said a bit more forcefully.

“You seem to care a great deal about a lonely griffon.” JJ snarled a little at that. “Oh… so that’s how it is… she was your mother then?” he asked.

JJ taken aback. How did this dragon come to that conclusion? Buck it. He thought. “If you’re gonna kill me I’d ask you to do it already!”

The dragon didn’t seem to listen however. “Harla, The Stormy scourge of Dragon Kind. Been a thorn in our side for decades. Then suddenly a pony was by her side for the last decade, working with her to destroy the peace of the Dragon’s…”

“PEACE!” JJ screamed. “WHAT? PEACE? The only peace dragons give is death.” The dragon just stared at JJ. “Why you think? Why you think she was doing any of this and all? Why You Think…”

“What do you know about the Elements of Harmony?” the dragon interrupted the ranting pony.

“Wha-What?” JJ sputtered. Questions just kept popping up in his head after that.

“The Elements of Harmony?” The dragon repeated.

“Oh-only what my mother said.” JJ replied. Stepping back a little. Accidently bumping into Harla’s body. He jerked up and hopped forward a little.

“You mean she told you about that?” The dragon asked.

JJ looked at the corpse behind him “No, she didn’t believe in them… No my first mother told me about them.” JJ then suddenly realized he was talking to a dragon. The race of beings that not once but twice now just killed his Mother, and he was having an open conversation with one of them. “Why the Buck do you care anyways?”

“How would you like to get revenge… justice, or whatever you like to call it?” the dragon asked vary nonchalantly.

JJ studied that question for a second, studied the dragon for another. “What’s the game?” he asked.

“I got half the elements all ready.” The dragon said.

“Three of them?” JJ interrupted.

“No, I got all six stones.”

“Then why…”

“Because.” The dragon interrupted. “These stones are utterly worthless without the bearers.”

“Bearers?!” JJ blurted out. “Mother never told me about there were any bearers for them…”

“Oh but there’s more…” the dragon said, causing JJ to sigh. “The Elements only work when it’s a pony wielding them.”

JJ Laughed at that. “So you mean to tell me, that dragon’s can’t use them, and that there are six ponies out there that can? But only six vary specific ponies.” The dragon just nodded. “And why exactly do you want me to help you with this?”

“Cause I just saw a pony survive a second attack from the Dragon’s Kin.” The dragon said standing up. “The amount of luck you possess can’t be coincidence.” He added walking up to JJ.

“Luck?” JJ Replied. “What’s here shows that I’m Lucky?” he said getting angry.

The dragon ended up in front of the pony. “Because you’re alive.” He then put his claws on JJ’s sides. “And you are officially under the protection of Spinlar Cicle.”

JJ just tilted his head in confusion. “What?”

“You can call me Spike…”

“What?”
