The Gift that Keeps on Giving
Contrary to popular belief, Pinkie was arguably the most organized party planner in Ponyville, if not all of Equestria. She had to be, to manage hundreds of birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations required her to be at the top of her game. Nary a day passed without Pinkie knowing down to the milisecond when something was happening or where party supplies were stashed.
Except today, today sucked to the point even her Pinkie Sense was not helping her.
"Oh come on, there has to be SOMETHING that would be prefect for my little Dashie!" Pinkie was back in Ponyville after a trip to Canterlot and was a moving pink blur. She had made the trip in a record-setting 5 hour gallop, several Moohemians that she had gone by sworn she had developed a contrail and broke the sound barrier as she sped by.
By now, everypony was used to Pinkie's unusual antics, and a few thought she was flat out batpony-crazy. Where that fact she was batpony-crazy was true, and she enjoyed every second of it, this however was pure panic as she stumbled into the next-to-last shop she had not visited in Ponyville. Being the super-duper awesome marefiend that she was, she had a growing mountain of presents behind her as she entered the jewelry store.
"Ah hello Pinkie Pie," The jewelry mare, Facet Karat, asked. "how may I help you today?"
"I got a problem Facet, Dashie's birthday is in 5 days and I am having a problem finding the right thing for her. She is sooooo hard to shop for, I keep second guessing myself since she is my marefriend and-" The only reason Pinkie paused was because she had to take a breath, her face returning from light violet to its normal bright pink.
Facet chuckled. "Relax Pinkie, you aren't the first to come in here with the same problem. However, since Dash is an avid flier and takes great pride in her speed, I would suggest you stay away from jewelry. After all, earrings would rip out at the speeds she flies at, necklaces would weigh her down, and hooflets would fall right off."
Pinkie's mane and tail slightly deflated at Facet's words, but she knew it was sound advice. Dashie's health was top priority, even more than her love of baking, and would feel awful if she caused her dear pegasus harm. She always could tell when Dashie had a bad shift at the Cloudsdale Weather Factory, or a bad session with the Wonderbolts, and in these circumstances her Element came out in full force. Pinkie would always stop what she was doing to make Dash smile, and it never failed. Dash's Element, Loyalty, was also on display because both the speedster and party planner were loyal to the core, their souls entwined.
"Thanks Mrs. Facet, I just hope Rarity has the most super-duper special gift for my Dashie. However the problem is Dashie doesn't do fashion-ey fue fue...ohhh..." Pinkie sighed, her mane and tail now half flat/half curly as she headed for the door.
"Pinkie..." Facet said in a tone that Pinkie knew all too well, it was one telling her to stop and listen. "as many gifts as you got in that pile, I'm sure she will love all of them. You are a good mare and marefriend Pinkie, follow your heart and don't second guess yourself ok?"
"Okie Dokie Loki," Pinkie said with a half smile. "thanks for the advice and I will see you when me and Dashie get our engagement shoes fitted."
Facet smiled. "I look forward to it Pinkie, until then take care!"
With a nod Pinkie left and started her trot towards Carousel Boutique , only stopping to hide all the gifts in her room in a way only Pinkie knew how to pull off. As she resumed her trek her inner voice, Pinkamena, spoke up.
"You know Pinkie, I know we always disagree, we are polar opposites after all, but for once I sympathize for you. Our marefriend is more stubborn than Applejack with her likes and dislikes, and it is pretty rough. That is not even including the fact she is so fast in bed, you would think her famous remark of "10 seconds flat" would not apply...I really wish there was a way to slow her down and let her see where true pleasure lies. I am not gonna lie, sometimes it gets under my fur since she cums and is done, not even slowing down to pleasure you...pleasure us..."
For once in a very long time Pinkie found herself in agreement with her inner voice. The fact Dash was so quick on the trigger annoyed Pinkie, more than once she wished that the pegasus would be a nice little submissive rainbow of pleasure instead of the streaky mare she normally was. Pinkie felt smaller than a Breezie, a complete loss as her internal storm grew stronger and stronger. It nearly consumed her until something shiny caught her eye. She turned her head to look and what she saw restored her hope. There, being carried by Shining Armor, was a beautiful work of art.
It's base was made of the strongest and most supple leather. Pinkie could tell that it would stand the test of a good long and hard use, while still being comfortable, as she looked it over more. The way the curves flowed to peaks and valleys made Pinkie know deep down that Dash would get to love the feel of it between her wings, which would be held in place by the sturdy, flexible straps that would connect below the barrel. The thought of her being in full control of the prismatic Wonderbolt ignited a burning desire that shone on Pinkie's muzzle, just like the sunlight making the gold trim and gemstones shine like mulicolored suns. All this being pictured in her mind set her hormones in action, and she could already feel herself getting wet at the situation. Pinkie knew right then and there that was the present for her Dashie...and she needed it.
"Hi Shining!" Pinkie said bouncing over to the stallion, once again her normal chipper self. "What do you have there?"
Shining was startled Pinkie bounced over, but still managed to give her a small grin as he carefully set the harness down. "Oh hello Pinkie Pie, I was just picking up my gift for Cadance. Our anniversary is coming up in a few months and I thought I would indulge and get her something for...private times...so I got her a harness and bit."
Pinkie blinked as it clicked what he meant. "Oh! So this is to help with your productivity in the bedroom...What's wrong Shining, Cadance not as interested as before or trying for another foal?"
Shining stood there slack jawed. He could not believe that Pinkie had just did that to him, the Prince of the Crystal Empire, let alone do it in public. Several ponies who happened to be in earshot stopped what they were doing and started snicking, Shining knew he had to save face and salvage the situation. "P-Pinkie I-"
Pinkie did not hear him as she barreled into her rant. "If you are trying for another foal that is all well and good, but I don't know why you are even wanting to try for another foal. I mean, we all had our hooves full with Flurry Heart, even you and Cadance so the thought of a sibling?! I am one of the bestity best foalsitters around and even I am terrified at the possibility such a scenerio will create. Besides, I know Cadance is an immortal Alicorn but aren't you getting a bit old for such activities? Perhaps I was right and it is to help Cadance get reinterested since your productivity is starting to drop due to you being 33 and-"
"PINKIE!" Shining was mad, and if it had been any other pony he would have them arrested, but since Pinkie was Twilight's friend and an Equestrian Defender, he knew better than to invoke the hellfire of her sister's rage. Due to him using his Parade Ground Voice, Pinkie not only quit rambling but fell back on her haunches. Shining took a deep breath to quell his anger before speaking again. "Now Pinkie, you asked me a question and I honestly answered, but what you just said deeply hurt. No, it is not to get her "reinterested" as you put it, but to increase pleasure since she likes taking things slow."
"I'm sorry for what I said Shining..." Pinkie avoided eye contact, choosing to look at the ground, as she spoke. "Think you can give a me a few pointers on how to show Dashie how to take things slow?"
Shining chuckled and ruffled Pinkie's mane. "Apology accepted Pinkie Pie, but trying to reign in Dash? That would be like telling Sunburst to teach Flurry algebra, quite a challenge but doable over time. The trick is complete and total trust between the two involved, the sub trusting that the dom will not do anything they do not feel comfortable with doing. Another thing is do not be forceful, if Dash says "no" or uses a safety word then stop and try something different. The hardest part I imagine will be convincing her to let you fully secure the bit and bridle, since it will hamper her speech annd range of motion."
"I will keep that in mind," Pinkie said holding the bit in her hoof, her mind already starting to run wild again, and even Pinkamena was starting to enjoy the ideas Pinkie was coming up with. "so if you do not mind me asking, where did you get this from?"
"I actually bought it from Rarity," Shining said motioning back towards the alabaster unicorn's place of business/residence. "She decided to expand on her business ventures a bit in hopes of spreading her style into new opertunities."
Pinkie gave Shining a hug. "Oh thank you so much! I will head there now, say hi to Cadance and Flurry for me." With a new sense of purpose and once again fillled to the brim with hope, Pinkie galloped off to finally get her hooves on Dash's perfect gift...

Yes I know this is short and seems rushed, but my initial plan for this chapter seemed off. Instead of having this and the events at Rarity's all be massed together, I split it up in hopes of making it appear cleaner and flow better.
