Bedtime

Although the cake was delicious you felt uncomfortable as you were engaged in a quiet game with her as you both found nothing to say to each other.

"Archaues, how do you feel about leading our troops into battle?"

"To be honest, I don't think that would be a good idea. I have no combat experience whatsoever, so just making me a leader right off the bat wouldn't be a good decision."

"I believe you are right about that evaluation, but who will you spar with? I don't think it would be fair for the cadets to take someone that has as much strength as you."

"Maybe you could set up some test dummies?"

"That idea does sound quite exemplary but you need to know what a real engagement is like. How about I have one of my finest royal guards to spar with you?" Thinking on the offer, you nod in response.

"That's sounds cool."

"Great."

"And another thing."

"Yes, what is your question?"

"Where am I going to sleep?" You ask, and the answer was just as you thought it would be.

"On my bed of course." Giving her a puzzled look, you fire back another question.

"What? Where are you gonna sleep then?"

"On the bed with you." She replied smiling. This was getting out of hand or hoof, whatever the hell. You had never met a girl that was so.... forward with you.

"Umm I'm good on the floor."

"If you insist, so how shall we pass the time?"

"Maybe we could just talk?" You were a fucking idiot for saying that shit because when you asked, she started talking about her life, she didn't start at a few months ago. Instead she started at the beginning of her life, what's so bad about that? Well, it would not have been a problem if she didn't have a several thousand year life history.

"Well my life dates back about several thousand years ago-"

'How about you tell me about yourself?" What a save.

"Alright, were should I start?"

"Maybe you could tell me what you like to do or eat?"

"That is an easy question, I love to eat cake and I also enjoy spending time with Luna whenever I get the chance. What about you?"

"Well I like to eat cake and pie, and I enjoy playing video games." You kept it short and sweet to keep the subject from dragging on.

"That's wonderful, what do you think of my chambers?"

"It's pretty big and spacious, smells great also."

"I'm glad you like it, Archaeus." You and Celestia were trading questions until the sky obtained an amber hue.
"Oh well look at that, I believe it is time to lower the sun. Would you care to watch?"

"Sure." You respond getting up from your seat on her humongous bed to walk over to where she was standing. You followed her outside and within seconds her horn begins to light up, soon after the sun fell and up came the moon. You assumed Luna was the cause of the moon rising.

"Wow, I've seen a sunset but not one like that."

"I am glad you like it. I would love to keep speaking with you but after I lower the sun, I am quite tired so I must retire." You followed her back inside, once you were inside she took off her crown and her amulet. In your eyes she looked so much better without out all the Royal stuff on her body. Walking past her you lied down on the floor next to the bed.
"Are you sure that you don't want to sleep on my bed tonight? I promise won't snore." Even though you wanted to, you had to do something tonight and whatever else didn't matter, not even sleep.

"Yes I'm fine."

"Alright you can come into the bed whenever you want if you change your mind."
And with those last words she turned over. You waited a few minutes before getting up to make sure that she was asleep, once you checked she was sound asleep. Now that you had an opening, you grabbed Axiom and walked out to the balcony. The view was great so you just stood there providing a vigil, waiting for another changeling attack to happen. Little did you know that Celestia wasn't sleeping, her eyes were just closed but after letting out a cough, her ears twitched in response to the noise and her eyes fluttered open to see you standing outside like a statue looking over Canterlot.

"He must really care." She whispered as she quietly left the bed, making her way to the balcony and over to you. She gasped loud enough so that you couldn't hear.
Then suddenly you felt something on your back, turning to get a better view you saw that it was Celestia and she had tears forming in her eyes.
"Please just come to bed, I know you want to keep the ponies safe but you can't skip out on sleep. It's not healthy for you and if you go through with this you will be in no condition to fight tommorow if an attack does happen. So please come to bed, we need you, I-I need you." You froze up almost instantly. Was she serious, or do ponies here have a really low self-esteem.

"I'll- I'll come to bed." Once you made it onto the bed, Celestia soon followed lying in front of you. You moved up and wrapped your arms around her she nuzzled her head into your chest. Slowly but surely you fell asleep with the princess in your arms.

When you awoke the next day, Celestia was out on the balcony bringing the sun back up. When the big ball of hydrogen came up, any hopes you had of sleeping a little longer were dashed out of the window.

"Uuuugh. Turn it off." You groaned, this elicited a giggle from Celestia.

"I see your not the morning type."
