Chapter 1: Entering the Force (Cop)

When Equestria finally developed cars based on the human made versions everypony thought it would be a great way to go around. That was true the Country paved new roads started using cars just like humans. But that lead to a problem too and this certain problem was what the human police have trouble with and it was a street sport. Street Racing.

When the sport of racing in Equestria evolved when cars started showing up things were ok. Public racing events were held in many cities and towns for stallions and ponies that loved to race. That eventually led to the problem. But that was until some of them decided to race on the roads without a public event. Then like wildfire street racing became a place for racers and accidents. Equestria was eventually forced to create a police department to handle all the racing activities. But just like a hydra's head you knocked down one another one takes its place.

On Highway 12 which connects Ponyville with Cantalot Twilight and her friends including Spike were with Princess Celestia and were in shock. The right side of the highway was covered loose car body parts from 2 police cars there were rear bumpers to even the passenger side door of one them was ripped off violently after racers wreaked the 2 officers.

Rainbow then said to Celestia with shock, "I saw accidents before but this takes the cake! Did anypony survive the crash Princess?!"

Celestia looked at Rainbow and replied, "The 2 officers survived the crash Rainbow. But from the look of the area these racers were very aggressive. It's a matter of time before somepony or somestallion will lose their life."

Then Twilight said to her former mentor, "Is anything we could do Princess? We can't just let this just keep happening!"

Applejack agreed with and said, "I agree Twi! I'm starting to really getting annoyed by those racers right now!"

Then Celestia thought of something maybe the Mane 6 could do something about the problem besides they faced worse. But they never took on street racers before, but the police department needed drivers for a special force that handles high speed pursuits. Not to mention use some of the best cars through out the industry with state of the art tech.

Then Celestia smiled and said, "Twilight. I think I know how you and your friends can help."

Pinkie jumped up and down in excitement and said, "Really what is it Princess?!"

Then Celestia said to them and Spike, "The police had just created a new force to handle high speed chases dealing with street racers. They're looking for new members for this force and since you girls wanted to do something about the problem here is your chance."

Twilight looked at her friends hoping they would be ready for this task. They may have defeated Discord, Tirek, and Nightmare Moon together, but now they were about to go up against street racers using fast cars. Twilight's friends including Spike smiled and looks determination on their faces and they can handle this new adventure. Fluttershy kinda had a short brags smile, but it was close enough. Well they were about get into the driver's seat of many of the fastest and coolest sports cars ever built that is. They nodded at Twilight and she knew they ready to go get those racers. Then Twilight smiled with a determined look on her face and faced her old teacher and said, "Where do we start?"

Celestia smiled and nodded and knew they on the case now! Now Twilight and her friends and Spike are about to give the racers a taste of their own medicine! Cause now a new team was gonna show the racers they weren't the only ones with fast cars.

Hours Later at EQPD headquarters in Cantalot;

As the group of ponies and purple baby dragon sat down on their seats in the presentation room at EQPD's main headquarters in Cantalot waiting for a short film the department made. Then the lights were turned off and a movie projector was turned on and the short film started. As the first scene of the short film started as Twilight and her friends including Spike heard a male voice as the film showed a scene the Equestrian east coast, "Equestria. This peaceful land has recently become the place to speed. Also now is the playground and home to the most exotic cars and drivers in country."

During the dialogue sequence a 2006 race red painted Koenigsegg CCX drifted though a tight curve in a heavily forested area heading for a hallow log where the road goes through. Then the scene changed to pearl orange painted Pagani Zonda Cinque racing through the same forest and being followed by a yellow McLearn MP4-12C Coupé not far behind it as the 2 exotics raced past the camera! It showed them what types of cars they'll be up against in the future.

Then the dialogue continued as the voice continued saying, "But this place hasn't become lawless. Consent competition has lead to development of Equestria's newest police force. Equestrian Speed Enforcement."

During the second sequence of the short film showed a look at one of EQSE's new cars. A brand new 2017 Bugatti Chiron in a police livery started up as the CCX got closer and the officer of the Chiron activated the deployable rear wing as it came out of the back of the car and just like its predecessor the legendary Bugatti Veyron. The Chiron was ready for a high speed pursuit as the CCX raced by and the wheels of the Chiron spun and moved forward and chased after the CCX with it's sirens flashing and wailing!

Then the dialogue then continued saying, "The EQPD spare no expense to redline it all the way and make you pay."

While the dialogue going on the Chiron which was faster car rammed the CCX's rear bumper but the car stayed stable. Then looking at the driver side view mirror on the CCX showed the Chiron catching up and chasing the CCX through the forest! The Chiron wasn't going to let the CCX get away from it since it's a more modern car and is more faster than the CCX.

Then the scene showed multiple cars from the 12C, Cinque, the CCX, and a Ferrari red painted Ferrari F12 Berlinetta were being chased by the Chiron, a Ferrari LaFerrari police car, and a police helicopter that swooped down to stop the racers. The chopper flew very close to the past the CCX. Then the dialogue continued as CCX swerved out the chopper's way saying, "Everyday new drivers still show up to tame the roads of Equestria and out run the law."

Then the scene of the film changed to a fast approaching 2011 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupé police car with a black body painted body and the doors were white. The doors on both sides had small uppercase black lettering that said Speed Enforcement and above it was the word police in black lettering all in uppercase lettering with a red outline. The rear wing had had been raised up and the same word still uppercase lettering, but in white lettering and was also on the front bumper of the car.

The Aventador flew by the past the Chiron and LaFarrari racing at 225 MPH and catching up with 2 remaining racers and did a pit manoveur on the 12C as the dialogue finally said, "The ultimate drive starts here! Which side are you on?"

Then after the dialogue was complete as the Aventador roared past the screen chased after the Cinque as it caught up with in no time! Rainbow was impressed by the Aventador's performance and speed and wished she had a car like that. In fact everyone was amazed how fast the Aventador was and how easy it was chasing the Zonda.

Then as the camera went to ground level the Aventador did a another pit but this time on the Cinque as the car came at the screen and changed to a black. The girls and Spike were amazed at only 3 police cars they saw so far and wondered how many more police car were there. But Dash fell in love with the Aventador because it looked like a stealth fighter and it was really fast. Dash hoped one day that she'll drive that car in the future.

Then the screen came on again and they heard a female voice that sounded like it was coming out off police radio, "Welcome Cadets."

Then the screen changed to the EQPD logo with the same Aventador they saw in the short movie, "You 6 have been accepted into the ranks of the EQPD. Equestria's Fastest Speed Enforcement Unit."

During the dialogue 6 plates showing a photo of each of the girls on there respectively and that made them feel great. Then dialogue continued, "All 6 of you will begin your careers at Rank 1 Cadets with limited access to the department."

Then the screen showed them their level as multiple numbers appeared over the cadet level. Then the voice continued saying to them, "The pinnacle of the Speed Enforcement Unit is the rank 20 Ultimate Enforcer with access to any vehicle or pursuit resource required."

Then it showed film of officers doing their job as they chased after racers in different sports, performance, super, exotic, and hyper cars. One showed an 2013 Agera R police car racing after a seal grey Porsche 918 Spyder and a 2009 jetstream blue Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Then the female voice then said as a short clip of a 2017 Koenigsegg Agera RS police car drifting through a curved tunnel at high speed then more clips came of different police cars hazing after racers, "Your careers at the EQPD will measured on your performances on feild. All of your actions of all 6 of you will be monitored and recorded as bounty. The more bounty you earn during an active mission the faster you 6 will progress through the cop ranks."

Then the film on the presentation screen changed to a Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter chasing a heavily damaged 2012 red Mazda RX-8 and the female voice continued from where she left off, "Basic busting procedure is to bring the suspect to a halt or stop the vehicle with excessive damage as Intercepters all 6 of you are authorized to use any available force to bring the suspect in."

The scene showed the Ford ramming the Mazda making it come to a complete stop and the suspect was taken in by the police. Then the voice said, "The objective is to bust the suspect in the shortest amount of time minimizing the impact on the overall population of Equestria."

Then a another clip came and showed a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera police car chasing a Ferrari red painted Ferrari Enzo Ferrari as the voice from the film started, "All Intercepter Respose cars are equipped with a EQPD spec nitrous system."

Then blue flames ignited from the mufflers of the Gallardo and caught up with the faster Enzo Ferrari as the voice continued where it left off, "Use this system to give your vehicle a short burst of accelraction. Inabling you 6 to close the gap or impact the suspect with more force."

Then the film changed to a skyward view of a lone Ford Crown Victoria Intercepter driving as fast as it can on the highway and the voice continued from where it left off, "If the suspect gets to far away there will be a limited amount of time to reengage before the assignment is over. Stay close and stay sharp."

Then the video projector turned off and the room became pitch black until one of the senor police officers turned the lights back on. Just then one of the officers who was a stallion walked up in front of the Main 6 and said, "Well I glad to welcome you 6 to the force. But we have a lot of work to do."

Twilight and her friends and Spike were wearing new police uniforms and they were comfortable well to Rarity's liking. Then he looked at Twilight and Spike, "Cedets Twilight Sparkle and Spike. We have a minor pursuit near Ponyville right now that is at the right level of your rank. The suspect's car heavily damaged but I think a rookie should have her first bust. You 2 ready for your first mission?"

Then Twilight and Spike looked at each other and smiled. Then the 2 nodded and said together, "Yes sir!"

Then the senior officer he looked at Rainbow and the others and said to them, "While Twilight and Spike are on their first mission. All of you need to train at the track and hone your skills if you want to keep up with the racers."

Rainbow and the rest of the girls nodded and understood. But they were happy for Twi and Spike because this was their very first mission. As Twilight and Spike left for the garage to find a car to use Rainbow and the others went to test track to train. At the garage the duo found a Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter parked in front of the door waiting for them as the 2 got in both the driver side and passenger side doors. The duo buckled up with their seatbelts and Twilight put the keys in with her magic into the ignition and the car started as the engine roared to life. Then on the radio the same officer that told Twi and Spike about their first mission then came on the radio, "Ok you 2 today you're driving the Ford Crown Victoria. As both of you show your value to the department command will make more exotic equipment. Which means you'll be given new cars and be given Pursuit Tech. Ok good luck you 2 and be careful. The driver your about apprehend is driving recklessly be on guard."

Then Spike got the radio and replied back to the officer through the radio, "Copy that moving out!"

Twilight smiled and switched the car into forward and headed out the entrence from the headquarters. Twi turned onto the highway and Spike fliped a switch and the activated the car's sirens and Twi pushed on the gas pedal to get to the pursuit in Ponyville. Their first mission had just begun!

At Ponyville on Dashfeild Road;

On the police radio one of the dispatcher at the police headquarters said as the sound of multiple police sirens went off, "Officers in pursuit of a heavily damaged 2020 red Mazda MX-5 Miata RF heading north on Dashfeild Road!"

After that was said two 2010 Ford Shelby GT500s were chasing a badly damaged 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF and the driver was going crazy! He swerved into the oncoming lanes of traffic and onto the grassy land of the outskirts of Ponyville. Even animals that were friends of Fluttershy jumped for cover as the car's rampage kept going!

Then one of the officers who were chasing the suspect said on his car's radio, "Confirmed suspect is driving past all legal limits. Also Control he's going nuts! He's driving all over the place! Requesting imitate backup away right!"

The officer was right the MX-5 went all over the place and the driver didn't want to be sent to the county jail for a few months. Multiple civilian cars stopped in time as the chase pasted them in a hurry! Then Control replied back to the officer who requested the backup, "Copy that! Interceptor Assistance is approved by command and is enroute to your location now! Hang tight!"

After that Twi and Spike who were coming off Highway 32 that went to Cantalot joined the pursuit as Twi braked and turned north as smoke came from the tires as Twi breaked hard. Then after drifting through the short curve and into the right direction Twi shifted the Ford to high gear and sped up to the chase! Then after reaching the chase they came around a northbound civilian vehicle and caught up with the crippled Mazda ahead. The MX-5 Miata RF swerved around trying to keep steady. Then officer in the Ford Shelby GT500 replied back to command, "Affirmative Command! Interceptor Unit is on scene and is joining pursuit! Standing down over to you Cedet good luck!"

Twi smiled and looked at Spike and with a ready smile said to him through their Victoria Interceptor's radio, "Rodger that! Ok Spike lets get to work!"

Then Twi accelerated the Ford by pushed the gas pedal more and eventually reached the car's top speed of 150 MPH in 4th gear. Twi's patrol car rammed into the MX-5 Miata RF's rear bumper and the car swerved more than it did before Spike and herself joined the pursuit then she called on the radio, "Suspect is heavily damaged we're going in for the bust!"

As the two cars raced down the road they were just coming up on a curve and the MX-5 Miata RF slowed down and tried to drift through the curve, but that was what Twilight was waiting for! Then using the car's nitrous system Twi rammed the MX-5 strong force and sent it into a barrel roll and ended up on its side. Then Spike picked up the radio and said, "Control suspect apprehended this pursuit is over."

Then command replied back to new recruits through the car's radio, "Good job Interceptor 1 that was some record time."

Seconds later the officers came got the suspect out the car and put him in the back of one of the GT500s and drove off to the Ponyville jail. Twilight sighed with satisfaction of a good day's work. Also she earned some bounty from her first bust she hoped she'll get a another car. Then the other officer who is a stallion and is the one called for backup pulled up beside the Ford and rolled down his window and said, "Hey good job on your first bust Cadets."

Twilight looked at the stallion and replied to their fellow officer saying, "Yeah that was easy. Whoa I sounded like Dash for a minute there!"

The stallion just chuckled and said to the two, "Heh well its like that for the first bust, but just wait until you get to the faster cars around they're no pushovers."

Twilight nodded in reply and said to the stallion with a smile on her muzzle, "Thanks for the advice. Well Spike and I have to head back to headquarters."

The stallion nodded and said with his own smile, "Well see you 2 around then."

Then the stallion shift the GT500 to forward and headed for regional police station in Ponyville. Twilight then put her right beck leg on the gas pedal and drove back to Cantalot. As she got on the road heading for the capital city at the speed limit on 50 mph.

But both Spike and Twi didn't know coming up fast behind them was a Hyper car going at 273 MPH! Then the car passed the 2 and went in front of them showing the back end of a 2013 Azure blue painted and carbon Koenigsegg Agera R and before Twi could go into a pursuit the car left them in the dust and was long gone! Spike and Twilight had their mouths open like dinner plates they never saw someone driver that fast before and that was very amazing pro-driving skill. But they didn't get a look at who was driving the car. But there was one detail Twi could make out was that the driver had a medium tinted turquoise blue coat. Then Spike broke the silence and said to the smart lavender alicorn pony, "Twilight! Who in Celestia's mane was that?!"

Twilight's reply was short as she said to the winged young dragon as was in shock as well, "I… don't know Spike."

Then she snapped out of her daze and drove up the onramp to the highway and headed back to Cantalot. But Twilight wondered as they drove back to headquarters who was that driver of that azure blue Koenigsegg Agera R. The driver didn't look like any stallion or pony she knew from Ponyville or Cantalot. That was a question Twilight couldn't figure out and will have to uncover another time.

42 minutes later at the EQPD Training Grounds in Cantalot;

After arriving back in Cantalot and returned to EQPD headquarters Twilight soon pulled up to the police department's test track on the eastern side of the city. As two got out of the Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor the lavender alicorn saw her friends practicing on the track and they were getting the hang of driving a car since they had the same car just like Twilight. They were preforming pit maneuvers on officers that were playing as racers to get them accustomed to driving a police car. Then Twilight and Spike noticed 4 stallions watching from the side lines and were wearing the same uniforms just like Twilight, her friends, and Spike. 2 of the stallions where Earth Stallions while the 3rd one was a unicorn stallion that she didn't recognize before. The first Earth stallion had a fire red coat with lighting spiked blue mane and tail and his cutie mark was a streak of lightning and the other one had a reddish brown coat and had with a short and light black mane with a police radio for his cutie mark also he had some cool looking sunglasses too. The Unicorn stallion had a lightning blue colored coat with a ivery color electrical spiked mane and tail with a cutie mark that showed a stream of a electrical burst.

But the last stallion Twilight did know and she couldn't believe who it was! The last stallion was Shining Armor. Twilight's older brother and was on her team now! Spike then said with surprise, "Wait Twilight why's your brother here?! I thought he is suppose to be at the Crystal Empire with Cadence and Flurry Heart?!"

Twilight said in reply with shock as she couldn't believe it either, "I don't know Spike."

Then the Earth stallion with fire red coat looked behind him and saw Twi and Spike and said to Shining who was watching Twilight's friends train, "Hey uh Shining is that your little sister over there?"

Shining turned around and saw his little sister and yelled out loud to her, "Hey Twilight!"

Then Twilight had a excited look on her face and raced for her brother and in a few seconds she already there with him hugging him. Shining's checks blushed bright red it was great to see Twilight again but it was a little embarrassing. Then Spike walked up and said to the white unicorn stallion, "Hey Shining nice to see again."

Shining noticed Spike and replied back with a smile and said, "Hey Spike great to see you again too."

Then Twilight said as she saw the 3 new stallions, "Hey uh Shining who are these 3?"

Shining looked at the 3 stallions and remembered to introduce them to his sister. Then he said to them, "Twilight meet Lightning Striker, Reving Speed, and Jolt Stream they're part of the Equestria Speed Enforcement Unit just like I am."

Then the reddish brown stallion said to them with a grin, "But you guys can call me Rev. I like that name better."

Twilight chuckled and said to the stallion, "Ok Rev. That sounds like a good name for you."

But before Rev could reply a loud crash came and the 6 looked at the track to see a funny scene. Rainbow and Applejack had just crashed into each other and were arguing over who got the cop who was pretending to be a racer and ending up getting each other. Spike tried not to laugh at the funny scene including Pinkie Pie. The rest of the girls stop driving and were watching the scene play out even Discord appeared out of no where to watch what the outcome of this new Rainbow Dash & Applejack argument.

Twilight sighed and shook her head and said in annoyance, "Oh boy here we go again."

Then Discord said with a flat look on his face, "Well lets hope they won't make fools of themselves like last time."

Twilight remembered one time during the annual running of the leaves in Ponyville at the end of the race Rainbow and Applejack ended up getting into a fight. Not only they wanted to win they didn't finish a place either and they embarrassed themselves in the process. Twilight hopped that this time this argument won't turn out like last time.

After Rarity got the 2 to stop arguing the 2 friends made up and both apologized about the little incident. They walked over to the rest of the team who were waiting for them. Then Twilight said to her new team, "Ok since we're all here now lets think about driving pairs."

The team looked at each other and knew it was ok to have backup during a pursuit and sometimes they need some help in shutting down races. Besides 2 heads were better than one. Then Shining said to everyone, "Ok I'll pair up Twilight and Spike. If your ok with it Twilight."

Twilight smiled and nodded and Shining understood that she didn't mind at besides the 2 would have some catching up to do. Then Shining continued from where he left off, "Ok Lightning Streak you'll be paired up Rainbow Dash, Applejack you'll be paired up with Rev, Pinkie your with Fluttershy, and finally Jolt you'll be partnered up with Rarity."

The group nodded in agreement they like those pairs they get to work with their new teammates. Then Twilight got a call on her radio and the command told her she unlocked the 2009 Honda S2000 (AP2) and the 2012 Mazda RX-8. The group congratulated Twi and Spike and their first bust and unlocked 2 new cars from her bust. Then Twilight said to Shining concerned look on her face as the thought of the mysterious driver that drove that 2013 azure blue Koenigsegg Agera R flew back into her head, "Hey Shining. While Spike and I were on our way back here there was a azure blue Koenigsegg Agera R raced pasted us earlier today."

Shining suddenly gained a shocked look on his face and said to his little sister, "You saw a azure blue Koenigsegg Agera R! Twi was that Agera R you saw a 2013 model?"

Twilight nodded and said to Shinning as she continued, "Yeah it had those carbon fiber rims on the wheels. So it was the 2013 Agera R. Why do you ask Shining?"

Then Shining replied with a concerned look on his face and said to Twilight, "Well because Rev, Lightning, Jolt, and myself saw that very same car on the way here too!"

The team looked at each other with confusion there was a new driver out there with amazing driving skills. Twilight then told her team that the driver drove like a cop and went around her on the Dashfeild Road. As the team thought who this driver was they didn't know their world was about to be turned upside down.

My first Need For Speed video game series based story. I have the Limited Edition version of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010. In the next chapter we're going to racer's side and meet up with Sonic. So here's the main theme of one of my favorite racing games.
