Once Dead: Back For Vengeance

I may make this a short story now that I think about the pacing and then split it off later to a new beginning for Desmond, also I do not own MLP or anything mentioned, besides OCs and names for background characters releative to the situation

So even after that there were posters of me put up for my retrieval. I knew they would try to purify me with the Elements, but in doing so would leave them with a corpse. My soul is nothing but the opposite of Harmony now, but even in this form, I still can’t face them yet.

So here I am, acting like Cell from DBZ, stalking the low-lives of every city I came across. The Princess preaches of peace, but even her own ponies are just wolves under their colorful fur. This didn’t go unnoticed as some ‘hit men’ ponies tried to take me on. Five came in, only one armed and hornless unicorn came out.

“What do you want form us! You have taken everything! My gang is nothing now!” A bloody Earth pony shouts.

“Just making sure everyone knows that true peace in this world is a lie, even among the so-called beacons of it.”

A snap of his neck later as I turned into mist and turned his body to dust from overabsorption.

‘Desmond…’

I blink as I finally hear from Tirek after so much time.

‘Hello Lord Tirek.’

‘Your power has grown very well.’

‘I have you to thank. ‘

‘Don’t think this settles the fact that you have more than me, so you better give me more!’

I cringe as his anger grows.

‘Of course milord.’

“Princess, this… thing has been plaguing city after city! Former crime bosses are being found hanged, or barely anything at all!” A Guard from Manehattan shouted.

“And do you think that anypony would care for those criminals?!” Some Noble retorts.

A few murmurs agreed with him. Among all the victims, they had all done grave injustices that were overlooked, even local guards were slaughtered after being found guilty for corruption and abuse of power.

“Even with the wanted posters, anypony that went after him, lost more than just a limb. King Pin is a prime example!”

The file ‘King Pin’ was a local cartel of drugs from Zebrica, that made some ponies hallucinate, sometimes nicely, or to the point of going insane. When the flow suddenly stopped and the crimes became less and less, they eventually found the warehouse and nothing prepared them for what was inside. It was like a true nightmare… all ponies were hung in the rafters by makeshift ropes or pinned to the walls with nails. The King Pin was found barely alive as the back of his legs were sliced, later permanently paralyzing him, and an arm that looked like it went through a blender. He confessed to everything, just to get way from the monster that took everything away. He explained how the creature drained all the magic in the area before killing them without remorse.

Celestia was deep in thought that Desmond became the one thing she sought to never happen to anypony.

‘He has already done so much in so little time. Where did he get this much power?’

After the incident in the Crystal Empire, Twilight and her friends came back to tell them of their ‘discovery’. She tried to find him, but she ended being knocked out for a day from the raw magic he kept leaking.

Then Luna came running in tears as she found Desmond’s grave completely obliterated. Not just vandalized, but just a complete crater, and a broken coffin, but the body was nowhere to be found.

If this was Desmond, then he has left his heart accept the darkness and became a monster.

“Celestia!”

She was brought out her train of thought by the Guard who was still talking.

“What should we do?”

“Double the patrols. Do not approach or engage at all costs. We need to get him before he does anything drastic.”

“What’s more drastic?”

“If he decides to go after the Crown.”

6 months later

So, once again, Twilight had saved the day, as well as her friends as she finished the spell Starswirl couldn’t work out as it required the most important part… Friendship. And in doing so had ascended her into her Alicorn form and gained wings.

The ponies cheered for this accomplishment as well as Twilight was to be dubbed a Princess. One soul however, did not. He shrouded the building in mist as his eyes formed into a dark glare. A mouth-like opening could be seen before it let out a roar that sounded like a mixture of animals

It then descended right onto the newly crowned Princess.

She was brought to a wasteland that showed every horrible act Desmond has committed through his eyes and everything that he had taken by the ponies.

“I. WILL. HAVE. MY. REVENGE!”

A faint outline of Desmond slowly makes his approach as the dark dust surrounding him split off to make some bipedal copies. They screeched as they ran at her screaming as loud as a foal as she blasted magic at them to keep them back. A few scraped her with there claws, but they were minor cuts compared to what they could do. It did the trick as it seemed to weaken him.

“I better do his quickly…”

He then charged at her as he summoned more tendrils to hold her in place.

“Now for something I’m sure you would hate to lose.” His eyes glowed as his mouth opened and seemed to drain the energy from the room, slowly but surely she felt herself weaken.

“I’m going to enjoy prolonging this torture.”

A bright flash occurred as Celestia burst in shining light as bright as the sun and Luna clearing away the nightmare-ish creatures. The magic backlash sent Desmond rolling away and returning the magic to Twilight.

“Twilight, we finally got you, we have to move now!”

“Princess Luna?”

“I can only hold the gateway open long enough! Run!”

Twilight woke with a start.

“Doctor she’s awake!”

A stallion with a dark brown mane and tan coat appears with a clipboard.

“Thank you First Aid. Are you alright Princess?”

“Where am I?”

“You are in the Canterlot Medical Wing. You were brought here after that mist left you and went to who knows where.”

Twilight deadpanned. It was all her in head, and then she saw the bandages around her arms.

“Doctor… what happened to my arms?”

“Well aside from the minor scrapes from falling it seems as though something was scratching you. Almost like a cat. It wasn’t deep enough to cause any damage, but could break the skin easily.”

She then pales that her time unconscious was not coincidental, and that Desmond was getting more and more stronger. 6��2�y|�x�G
