A Princess's Problems

QUICK NOTE: I am a Filly in this story I don’t know any better. And Princess Cadence isn’t born yet.

“Do I have to go to school” I asked my aunt, Princess Celestia. “Yes. Don’t worry It will be okay. In a few days you’ll have lots of new friends and you'll love them all.” She tried to sooth my fear of meeting new fillies, but it got the best of me. “BUT I WANNA STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!” I Yelled. “Well you have to go to school.” She said hurriedly as she loaded us into the royal carriage and we went on our way ‘well’ I thought to myself ‘I might as well ask a few questions about school’ “So do other People live in Palaces and have carriages and guards?” I asked. Aunt Celestia had a surprised look on her face. “No” she said “We are royalty and we get things others don’t like royal guards and carriages. When you get older you will be taller than the rest. But don’t be ashamed you will be able to rule with me and Luna.” “But I won’t know anyone!”  I complained. “Too late we’re already here and you need to get out.” As I looked out of the carriage I saw everypony in a bowing position and as I step out everypony looks and waits for me to go in before standing again ‘uggg’ I thought to myself ‘what was that thing that I'm supposed to do to make them stand up…oh well I'm pretty sure miss cheerilee won’t pay any attention to me any way’ as miss cheerilee got to the front of the class she started roll call. Right before that she said if you have any nicknames say them instead of “here.” So when she got to my name she said Princess Alexia Louise Alison Devereux. I was too embarrassed to say anything at first and then I thought of my aunts words “Don’t be ashamed.” And that instantly made me confident and I said loud and clear “Princess Alex.” And nothing happened she just continued to the next name. Right when class got out everypony bowed and let me out first before leaving the school house. While we were flying away in the carriage Aunt Celestia asked how my day was. “Oh it was reeeeealy weird everypony was all nice to me and they all bowed and stuff it’s similar to how the royal guard treats us.” “Well” Aunt Celestia said “when you’re royalty like us it’s hard to tell who your real friends are and who's just trying to get to your money.” “WHAT” I screamed “people will try to use me just for my money.” “Yes” Aunt Celestia replied. “But we’ll finish this conversation later. I have someone for you to meet when we get back to the castle.” When we arrived at the castle I jumped out of the carriage. Literally! “Do I have to meet this pony right now?” I asked immediately. “Yes.  She's a filly just like you. Her name is Goldenray. She’s from the darkness kingdom but she's surprisingly cheery.” She said. “But I don’t wanna meet anypony right now I’d rather carry out royal duties.” I exclaimed. When I peeked into the ballroom I saw the other filly standing there. When I finally decided to walk in there she went into that bowing position that I still didn’t get at that time. When I walked up to her I said “Please stand up I'm getting annoyed of that horrid bowing position.” When she finally decided to stand up I introduced myself “I'm Princess Alexia Louise Alison Devereux. But you can call me Princess Alex.” Then she introduced herself to me. “Hi Princess Alex I'm Goldenray of the darkness kingdom.” Then there was an awkward silence as Princess Celestia walked in with her brother I didn’t know his name at the time and for some reason she didn’t introduce him to me I still don’t know why. (I eventually found out his name but that’s a whole other story.) When they finally decided to leave I went to my room and called my hooficurist and told her to paint my hooves permanently black and that I wanna keep them that way forever. As soon as she was done with my hooves it was time for dinner and when I came down Aunt Celestia looked at my hooves and was even more surprised than when I asked her if everypony had castles and carriages and stuff. She was speechless. But when she finally got her voice back she said “Wow.” That’s all she could say. So we ate dinner and Aunt Celestia came up to my room and read me a story and I slowly drifted to sleep. “Wake up honey the kids need food.” As I woke up there was an adult stallion in my bed and I was in a completely different room. I rushed to the mirror looking at the ground on the way there thinking ‘the ground is a lot further away than normal’ and when I looked in the mirror….
