A Princess's Problems
chapter 2
Previous ChapterI saw myself as an adult. As I walked away from the mirror with an obvious look of shock on my face, the stallion that was next to me, asked “Honey, are you ok?” I looked at him with a complete look of shock on my face. As I stared I realized that he looked like one of my classmates Wave chill but grown up and the little foals running around looked like little versions of us. I woke up very startled and worried. As I checked the time I realized that I should be downstairs eating already. When I finally got downstairs and finished eating we got in the carriage and Aunt Celestia dropped me off. I hadn’t told her of my dream. And when I got to class I realized that Wave Chill was showing off his flying skills to me and nopony else which was different seeing as it was only the 2nd day of school. But as soon as he challenged me to a race I was sure that id win so I said “why not.” We asked the teacher to ref the race so me and Chill (as his nickname was then) lined up at the start. “Ready……Set …….GO!!!!!” We were off and as soon as we started we were finished. Of course I won but at that time I had had lessons on flying from some of the best flyers in equestria and he hadn’t. Aunt Celestia had taught me to be a gracious winner and loser and as soon as he finished I walked right up to Wave Chill and said in between pants “Good Job you were keeping up with me pretty well until I rounded that corner and passed you up but other than that you were doing really good.” He didn’t respond he just looked me right in my eyes. I started thinking about other things Aunt Celestia had taught me. Right when I started thinking I remembered that Aunt Celestia had taught me a spell to read ponies’ minds. When I used it on Wave Chill he was thinking ‘Princess Alex has the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.’ When I heard this I started blushing and as soon as he realized I could read his mind he started blushing too. Then recess was over and Miss Cheerilee had changed seat assignments, me and Chill were sitting right next to each other. When class ended I said to Chill, “Hey you should ask your parents if you could come to the castle today. We’d take you there and we could practice flying with my mentor and we’d take you home to Cloudsdale.” He looked at me for a few seconds and asked “to the castle?” “yeah.” I replied. He screamed, “YES!!!!!!” he went and asked and his parents said yes. When Aunt Celestia came to pick us up she welcomed Wave Chill. When we got to the castle Wave Chill was in awe of all that he could see. he couldn’t see everything yet because the castle was so big. While we rushed into the castle Aunt Celestia yelled after us “Be careful!” I gave her a look that said ok and Wave Chill just followed me to the racetrack. We got there and noticed that my trainer wasn’t there yet so we decided to race each other again I won again. But as soon as we finished my trainer was there he was the trainer for the current wonderbolts and he said “Who's your friend here Princess?” “Oh, this is Wave Chill he’s my friend from school he tried to race me and I totally smashed him.” After I said that I scooted closer to Wave Chill and whispered in his ear “My coach teaches me to be very cocky and proud but I never really mean it when I say stuff like that.” He just looked at me and smiled. “That’s my girl” the coach said in response to my first quotation. “Well,” he said encouragingly to Wave Chill. “Show me what you can do.” So he did he went around the course once and it took him 3 minutes to go around once then I went around once and it took me 30 seconds “I'm a failure!!!” he exclaimed. “No you're not!” I yelled “you just need some practice.” I said caringly. My trainer than started working with him and soon he was almost as fast as me. My trainer didn’t want him faster than me so he taught me some tricks that the wonderbolts used. But all good things must come to an end and we had to take him home and right when we got there he looked at me like he wanted me to read his mind so I did and I saw something I would never forget.
