Broken Bumper

Meanwhile on the other side of the portal….

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie we’re absconding with the book to power the mirror.

“Just wait till Twilight realizes it’s missing! It’s gonna be hilarious!” Rainbow said,

“Yeah!” Pinkie agreed. Fortunately for them the alicorn had just realized,

“RAINBOW DASH! PINKIE!” Twilight screamed. And she flew out of her castle towards the two, Pinkie giggled. She then threw the book to Rainbow and she flew off at high speeds.

“Pinkie!” Twilight said,

“Aww! Don’t worry Twilight we’re just borrowing it!” Pinkie said just as Twilight sped by her. Rainbow was laughing all the while as she held the book.

“Don’t worry Twi it’s not like somepony is on the other side!” She said,

“No you don’t understand! Timidthy and Bumper are on the other side!” Twilight screamed.

“What!?” Rainbow and Pinkie said simultaneity, unfortunately in Rainbow’s shock she had dropped the book. But before anypony could try to get it back. A manticore had ate and ran towards the Everfree Forest. The three mares chased after the manticore. Knowing that book was the only way Timidthy and Bumper could get back home.

Back on the other side of the portal…..

Bumper pulled out a chocolate bar, opened it, and broke it in front of Timidthy’s nose. The prince got up immediately and Bumper handed him the chocolate bar to eat.

“Okay now that Tim is awake…..how!? Twilight had a magnesium for the portal!” Bumper said, Timidthy nodded this time not hesitating to stuff his mouth.

“Well most likely the book has been taken or removed. So until the time being we either gave to wait a month. Or hope that the book is placed back soon.” Sunset said, Timidthy swallowed as tears started to build up in his eyes.

“I don’t wanna be stuck here.” He wined, sounding like an actual six year old who wasn’t getting desert.

“Well I don’t want to be stuck here either; no offense. But your world is horrible.” Bumper said,

“And how is it so bad?” Rainbow asked challenging the former unicorns beliefs.

“Well…me and Tim can’t use magic. And Tim can’t fly, we’ve both been humiliated recently in this world. And to add to that me and Tim said we we’re going to be here for a week. How do you think our parent’s will react when they find out we’re stuck here!” Bumper replied his face actually going red with rage,

“Bumper deep breathes.” Timidthy said. Bumper rolled his eye’s but took a couple deep breathes as told.

“Look we know y’all are upset but our world can be pretty fun once ya get used to it. How about we show ya around?” Apple Jack suggested, Bumper shook his head.

“I just want to be alone.” He said before walking off, Twilight tried to go after him but Timidthy grabbed her wrist.

“He wants to be alone.” He said sternly,

“Are you mad!? He could get himself hurt or lost!” Rarity said. Timidthy looked at her,

“No he won’t. He needs to clear his head.” He said. “Trust me I know my friend.”

Bumper wasn’t sure how long he had been walking but when he looked up at the sky. He saw it was dark he sighed and started heading back home. Almost all the lights we’re out as everyone was heading to bed. Sad music began to play as Bumper looked up into the sky.

Why can’t life be fair to those who deserve it?

I never wished to be cursed with my obsession.

Popularity means nothing to me.

Why can’t life give those needed the courage to go forward.

Timidthy never wanted to be a coward.

He wants to be brave, and to be respected.

But many reject him.

He praises his mother and wishes to be like her.

Too bad be doesn’t believe to be a good leader.

Life please have mercy on thee and all who I hold dear.

Why can’t life be fair to those who deserve it?

The music had ended as Bumper walked into Pinkie's house. He quietly walked up the stairs and into him and Timidthy’s room. He was shocked once he saw his alicorn bud was awake.

“I’m glad your back. Wanna talk?” Timidthy said, Bumper smiled and sat down next to him.

“So how are you feeling?” Timidthy asked, Bumper sighed his smile disappearing.

“Well I feel like kicking Twilight’s skull in when we get back. But other than that I’m just really sad right now.” He said,

“Here.” Timidthy said. Bumper looked to see a sushi plush in his friends hands. It was a nigiri it had a white body on the bottom with a cute smiling face on it. As light blue happy eyes started at Bumper. The top had a large piece of navy blue salmon with three white slashes going over the top. Finally the two pieces we’re sewn tightly together by a long black piece of cloth.

Bumper licked his lips feeling his body shake, Timidthy held back a laugh.

“It’s fake. I got Rarity to make it. It’s a comfort object. I’m not gonna be around all the time. So when you feel embarrassed about your obsession. Or when you have a nightmare, like last night, and I’m not awake or around. Just hug it and it will play a phrase. Not to mention it’s super soft and plushy.” He said, Bumper blushed.

“Thanks. But don’t ya think it’s a bit girly? And counterproductive against my obsession?” He muttered,

“Admittedly Yes. And a little bit. But you know it’s fake, you need the real stuff to get you to go nuts. Unlike me who literally would run away from a plush bird.” Timidthy said muttering the last part. “Plus if you spend more time in contact with this. It might just give you a bit more resistance to real thing.”

Bumper smiled,

“Come on take it.” Timidthy said. His friend gulped and took the plush in his still shaking grasp, Bumper took deep breathes repeating in his head that it was fake. He looked at Timidthy who was looking at him expectantly, finally Bumper hugged it.

“Avoid my kind and you’ll be fine!” The sushi exclaimed in a girl's Japanese voice, Bumper relaxed slightly as a smile formed in his face.

“I’m glad you like it her name is Chinami.” Timidthy said, “ Now let’s get ready for bed it’s late.” Bumper nodded and placed his new plush on his bed, he then walked into the restroom.

“Take your time.” The prince said,

“Don’t worry I won’t be long.” Bumper said. Having a feeling he’d sleep much better tonight.
