The Layers of Death Metal

We are so Late

If you knew Death Metal, you knew she didn’t do fancy social gathering. She hated what they wore, she hated how the people acted, she hated the complicated food, and she especially hated the music. If you knew Pearl Necklace, you knew she was all about the formal suarez, she loved wearing her best dresses, and she loved charming the guests with stories of her many adventures. They were like night and day on the subject of formal gatherings. However, this begged the question as to why Death hated them so much, yet she was still ready, waiting downstairs, leaned against the side of a chair. Then Pearl, who loved these gatherings ever so much, yet she was rushing from the bathroom to the bedroom back and forth upstairs, getting ready still.

“I’m almost ready!” Pearl called down to Death Metal, who looked at her cell phone, counting that as the fourth time she’d said that in the past twenty minutes. Death merely rolled her eyes and kept leaning. The really bad part was that she was already hungry, and places like that not only had very little to serve on their plate, and the service took forever. Her only real hope for solace was that they would have some good appetizers.

The name of the restaurant was Le Flux. Apparently, Pearl had forgotten that she set up a lunch with a corporate owner from Canterlot there. She said it was either meet them here in two months or go on another business trip in the week she had with Death Metal, a week where she could hold off on her responsibilities and spend time with her. This was why she begged Death to come with her. She wanted so badly to spend every day of the week with her, and this was only the second day she would have off. It didn’t take much convincing, though and Death was more than happy to accompany her, but only because it was with her.

“I’m almost ready!” Pearl said again as she walked at a brisk pace across the hall, putting in her hair pins and spraying hairspray to keep her red hair up. The pink pony was now with fancy bright blue shoes on, a blue designer strapless dress with a skirt down to her knees, and beautiful sapphire pearls on her neck. Her hair was up in a fancy bun that was almost perfect in its spherical shape.

“You’re talking to yourself at this point, ain’t ya?” Death said as she checked her phone.

“Maaaaaybe!” Pearl said as she started walking down the stairs, looking at Death Metal leaning against the chair and smiling big. She had on a black dress that reached down to her middle shins, her panty hose was a very dark gray, while her shoes were shiny onyx. Her dress had no shoulders, but there were sleeves barely attached below the hollows of her arms. For once in her life, she carried a tiny black leather purse that Pearl gave her as a gift.

“Bout time.” Death said as she watched her descend the stairs down to the ground floor. “We got thirty minutes and we still gotta stop by your office to get those stupid papers.” She walked with Pearl to the garage, where the red hot rod lied in wait. If there was anything the whitish pony loved, it was that damn car.

“Don’t be like that.” Pearl winked at her. “Be nice tonight and you can drive.

Pearl let her drive it sometimes, and Death couldn’t help but get a big grin on her face when she drove on the highways going over the speed limit and feeling the wind in her hair as she opened the sunroof.

“I’ll be good.” Death got a little grin on her face and held out her hand, Pearl dropping the keys into it.

“Uh huh, I trust you implicitly.” Pearl gave her a little sneer as they got inside and drove away into the night. “So, Death, I want you to actually talk while we’re at this dinner. This deal is rather important to me. I’ve spoken the moon and the stars about you and the attendants are expecting a lot.” Pearl said, Death Metal giving her a look.

“What in Equestria made you do that?” Death asked, turning after a red light. “I’ll try to get some talking up, but I ain’t gonna do cutesy shit like you do.”

“Cutesy? What are you talking about?” The pink pony gave her an ugly look, her lips pursed and her eyes scowled low.

“Don’t give me that look, you hypocritical cow! You always gotta tell some story when I’m around. Especially when you tell them we’re dating and making a statement for lesbians everywhere. ‘Oh, darling, we should soooo put on our pajamas more often and paint our fingernails!’” Death Metal did her best impression of Pearl she could.

Pearl burst out in a guffaw, knocking her palm against the handle on the car door. She leaned her head against the window beside her and her chest began to heave up and down as her shoulders shook. Tears began to leak out of her eyes, she was laughing so hard.

“Uh huh, you’re laughing cause I’m right.” Death kept driving, eying Pearl, trying to make sure she didn’t laugh herself to death.

“I don’t care if you’re right, that was amazing!” Pearl’s laughter re-upped itself and she leaned forward toward her knees. “Please! Before I die you need to do that again.” She started to settle down, trying her best to catch her breath. “Oh, darling, I love you so very much.”

There was a long moment of silence as Death approached Pearl’s twelve story building. Crystal Ball Inc, so named after Pearl had successfully absorbed all of her father’s assets and merged her business with a generous portion of Vineyard’s, was a marvellous jack of all trades. It stood on iron clad foundations and was more or less self sustaining, even through hard stock market times. Pearl had set up backups for backups in the ways of stability in finances, and she made the corporation reach levels that even her father had not seen. Not to mention, she didn’t piss off the lovely ponies in Gemini Ties.

It was well after dusk now, the building was all but empty besides the night cleaners who were vacuuming hallways and washing windows. Pearl used her key to get into the front door, locking the door as she opened it. They walked into the building, the front lobby had every light off except for two, in case workers decided to go into work after hours, much like Pearl and Death Metal did now. She made the front lobby as bright and lively as she could when the building was being refurbished for her relatively new business. The carpet was a dark crimson, while the marble tiles that outlined it were a grayish white. The desk cross from the doors were rather stout with a lot of counter space with two chairs in the middle of it for two receptionists to sit to take calls and direct newcomers to the proper offices, calling ahead to inform them that they had visitors. There was no one there at the moment, their shifts started at seven in the morning on weekdays, nine on Saturdays, and the building was mostly closed on Sundays.

The two of them walked to the two elevators at the back right hand side of the lobby. Pearl pressed the up button, and the left lift doors opened. They stepped in.

“If I ever own my own company.” She lifted her finger toward Pearl before she could say anything. “Which I won’t, by the way.” Pearl clammed up and rolled her eyes. “But if I ever do, I’ll pick a floor lower to the ground. This whole penthouse office crap is for the birds. What if the elevators break?”

“Then I’ll call Spark to come and fix them. Then I’ll lift my skirt and he can fuck me while you watch and get jealous.” Pearl glowered at her as the elevator doors closed.

“Uh huh, then I’ll eat out his sister.” Death Metal mugged back at her as they stood close in the large lift cart which began to ascend.

“She is pretty hot, I’m not going to lie.” Pearl admitted, looking up at the numbers as they reached five. Death hummed her agreement. “Maybe I’ll join in.”

“Nope, you get to watch and jerk off.” They looked at one another, then met in a kiss. As they broke the little kiss, the elevator reached floor ten and it suddenly stopped, the light going out.

“What the fuck?” Pearl looked around, but the elevator went completely dark. Both of them waited for a moment, thinking it may be a power surge, but it just kept staying black, the lift still unmoving.

Death felt around the buttons for the emergency phone, found it and picked it up. She put it to her ear and listened for anything.

“Hello?” Death Metal said into the phone to no answer. “Fuck.” She put the receiver back onto the console and sighed.

They waited for a little while, seeing that there was still no light, it was completely pitch black to where they could not see a single inch in front of their noses.

Pearl pulled out her cell phone and turned it on, the light gleaming into both of their faces. She checked her bars and exasperated as she saw that there was no service at all. Elevators weren’t exactly known for their clear signals, afterall.

“Well, shit, looks like we’re in it for the long haul.” Pearl put away her phone and sighed. After a moment, she started to blow little bursts of air through her lips, making very quiet whistle sounds. “Are you gonna freak out?” She said, trying her best to look toward where Death Metal was, but, again, no light.

“Nope.” Death replied, putting her hand onto Pearl’s hip, then her thigh, and then taking her hand and pulling her close to her. The blue dressed earth pony blinked at the sudden sign of affection and wrapped her arms around her, feeling her very fine, soft fabric on her black dress and pressed her cheek to hers.

“I suppose it could be worse.” Pearl nuzzled the side of Death’s neck and gave it tiny kisses.

“Yup.” She said as she leaned her head away from Pearl to give her more room to keep kissing.

“You know, this is kind of a nice little happenstance.” Pearl whispered to her and now that it was dark, Death could give a little smile at her. “I’ve kind of fantasized about something like this happening.”

They turned to one another and started caressing their bodies all over, meeting in a nice deep kiss.

“Though, for the fantasy to be complete, you would be a very willing stranger.” Pearl found a nice little place closer to the back of her neck, latched onto it and began to rub her teeth gently along it. Much to her delight, Death broke out in gooseflesh and shivered a tiny bit.

“Oh yeah? The stranger fantasy, can’t say I would disagree with that.” A small moan passed her lips as she put her hand on the back of Pearl’s head, holding her against her neck so she wouldn’t stop. “I like the idea of the secretary bit.”

“I love the secretary bit. I dictate a letter to you. You show me that short skirt of yours and uncross your legs to give me a little glimpse of your pretty little pussy. I get wet and dictate you to get on your knees under my desk.” Pearl whispered into her ear and began to nibble on it, remembering that Death had on some black pearls in her left ear. Normally, she wore the spiked metal studs, but she didn’t put up a fight when presented with something a little more elegant, yet matched her personality, not to mention her dress.

“I would chomp your cunt so that whoever you’re on the phone with will know that you’re a dirty whore.” Her hands went up to Pearl’s huge DD tits and started to massage them.

“Maybe I want them to know.” They met in yet another kiss, only this time Death pushed her back up against the wall and pulled her shoulderless top down so her tits bounced out. She jumped on Pearl's breasts as soon as they were out, licking them and pinching her nipples. Pearl moaned in her ear as her hand traced up the pink pony’s leg and felt no fabric covering her soaked pussy.

“Yeah, I figured. Maybe you want to get with one of the guys from Canterlot?” Death Metal instantly went for her clitoris, she didn’t feel the need to do any kind of foreplay with it. “Maybe I’ll watch while he dicks you down on the restaurant table.”

“Oh, you piece of shit!” Pearl grabbed Death’s cheeks and nearly smashed their lips together in a kiss as she ground her finger against her sopping cunt. “I swear to Celestia, I’ll smother you while you sleep.”

“Promise to use your tits?” Death said as she went back to licking Pearl’s tongue, gasping and whispering nondescript words.

After a very short time, the two of them were on the floor. It started with the sixty nine position. Both of them licked one anothers pussies with determination. Their skirts were hiked up to where their juices wouldn’t get on them, and their tongues worked furiously on their pussylips. It was a race at this point to see who would cum first. Both put up valiant efforts, both in licking and maintaining their pleasure levels to a manageable degree. That was until Death Metal began to return to her savage ways with her pussy, her tongue started to go all over the place. She licked hard on Pearl, sucking her pussy lips and shooting her tongue into her little hole.

“Death, fuck! You’re getting too--mmmmfff!!!” Pearl came, and as soon as she came, the lights turned back on. They saw one another with their pussies out in full view, their tits hanging out in the open, and the elevator started to move again.

“Oh, fuck!” Both of them said in sync, and they started to get off the ground and put on their clothes. As soon as the elevator stopped, Pearl suddenly noticed her large areola was still showing. As soon as she tugged up her dress, the door opened to three janitors looking inside.

“Miss Pearl!” One of them said, a solid black unicorn male with headphones around his neck and a tool belt on looked at her with some worry in his eye. “Are you alright?”

She waved them all off. “Yes, yes, thank you, I am fine. We’re just here to pick up some paperwork for a meeting, and we’re already late. So please, continue with your night. Thank you again.” Both of them walked through them as she talked and all of them had no questions, knowing that if they defied her even a little bit, she take their jobs if she got annoyed with them. She was far more benevolent with her workers than she once was, but she also had a “take shit” meter that could run up pretty fast if one was not careful.

The two ladies walked past the janitors, who got back to work immediately. Pearl unlocked her office, walked past the secretary’s desk, and unlocked the direct door behind the desk. Death Metal stood by the door as Pearl turned on her light and walked toward her very large, very fancy cherrywood desk. The entire room was immersed in royal blue carpet, and the entire back wall was a gigantic window made of double pane, armored glass that could very easily survive a catastrophic thunderstorm.

She was doing quite well, as many have claimed. She kept her business going no matter how many pounds of business she had to do in a week, or how much she had to keep up with. She had her accountants in place, she had her council members looking after different facets of the business. Pearl was building her foundation on solid stone pillars, and doing it little by little.

“I hope those Canterlot guys are still there.” Death Metal checked her phone once again as Pearl opened a locked drawer in her desk, one that was stronger than many of the finest high end bank vaults. It also cost her more than the desk itself.

“I’m sure they’ll be fine. If not, it’s their loss. I’m gonna make them a sweet deal that they can’t refuse.” She pulled out and whole folder of papers. “Oh! Why did I put my lipstick in here? I’ve been looking for that.” She picked it up and put it into her purse.

“It’s offer.” Death Metal said, drawing Pearl’s attention. “It’s ‘Make them an offer they can’t refuse.’ Have you never seen The God Stallion? I barely watch movies and I’ve seen it.”

“Ah, it’s whatever. I can have you knocked off later. Let’s go.” Pearl said as she walked toward the elevators at a more brisk pace. “If we’re lucky the elevator will get stuck again.”

This made Death Metal give a little laugh.

Dim lights, fancy piano playing stallion, people in tuxedos and dresses that you’d see at a wedding, and caviar as far as the eye could see. Yes, Death Metal wasn’t exactly comfortable, but at the same time, the peace in this place was quite nice, as there was only a little dull roar of conversation around the very luxurious restaurant. As soon as Pearl arrived, the waiters started to signal each other from across the room. The Hostess, a very young mare unicorn with turquoise fur and aqua-green mane gathered the menus and greeted her ever so courteously.

“Miss Pearl! You honor us, please, right this way. Your table is ready.” She led them to the table and lo and behold, there were four ponies in business suits and business dresses. Two stallions and two mares, who all stood up at her arrival.

“Ah, thank you for the welcome. May we now get started?” At the table, there were two free seats, which Death and Pearl filled with their rumps as they sat down. As they did, she put her hand on Death’s, which was on her lap. The white pony gave her a strange, subtle look as she did.

“Of course, when you called this meeting,” One of the stallions said, his fur green and his hair pink, styled in kind of a wave upward. “You didn’t tell us that you would be bringing such a beautiful young mare with you.” He smiled at her with a warm expression.

Death couldn’t help but blush at the comment. She didn’t even know what to say right away. She glanced at Pearl, who was smiling at her. “Umm, thanks.” She said in a low, meek voice.

“Oh, I know.” Pearl pulled Death’s hand over onto her stomach, holding it close to her with both hands. “Death Metal is the most beautiful mare in this whole entire world.”

Death Metal’s blush only deepened as her eyes widened, her green eyes staring into Pearl’s red irises. The warm smile Pearl emitted was enough to melt her heart into a little red puddle and the way she was holding Death’s hand took the strength from her.

“Ever since I’ve been with her, she’s made me a better pony without even trying. Seeing her struggles made me take a look at myself and how I’d lived my life until then. Then I looked deeper and saw that while her cutie mark was a black heart wrapped in barbed wire, her heart was just as red as mine, and one that just needed some love to get it pumping again.” Their eyes never left one another, though Pearl’s hand moved down to her purse and brought her fist up to the back of Death’s hand. “Her courage protected me when I needed it. Her love revived my soul. Her toughness kept me in shape. Her mountain of life’s turmoil made me push even harder to win her heart. I took her into my arms, and I never wanted to let go.”

Death’s eyes were wavering, tears welling up in them as she held back her emotions as best she could. It was like poking her fingers into the hull of an already sinking ship. That ship sank as Pearl put a very small, soft box into her lover’s hand and turned it up to where Death could see it.

The white mare’s eyes widened, and her heart raced, tears flowing down her cheeks as she saw the little cloth-covered box in her palm. Pearl reached over and opened it in front of her, revealing a black diamond heart in a white gold band. Inside the shining, dazzling band was the tiny letters inside a heart “DM PN.”

Death Metal’s breath began to quicken, her mascara running with her tears.

“Death Metal…. Will you marry me?” Pearl asked. Her partner openly sobbing now, and leaning toward her. She pressed her forehead onto Pearl’s shoulder. Death couldn’t contain her tears any longer. All of her walls she had were now broken and crumbled to pieces as she pressed her face against her lover’s shoulder.

“Yes!” Death Metal shouted in the middle of the restaurant. There were cheers and thunderous applause from all over the restaurant, people standing around them and clapping. The ones at their table, who were simply people from Pearl’s work pretending to be business owners from Canterlot, they stood and clapped for the two of them. Death Metal heard none of this as she bawled ever so loudly. “Yes!” She shouted again. Her arms wrapped around Pearl’s midsection and the two of them embraced. Pearl’s fingers running through Death’s perfectly straightened hair as she cried her own quiet tears. They cried together, and after just a little while, Pearl slipped the ring onto Death’s wedding finger.

The two of them kissed ever so deeply. All of the sudden everything started to come back to them both. The very beginning when they were just a pair of bitches that looked down on one another, even resented each other for what they were and not who they were. Then the incident in the Wheatery. Then onto the Cloud Stone where they discovered love for the first time together. After that was Fable, with whom Pearl proved that there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her lover, even be there as she lost her virginity. Then onto Winter and his mother, with Pearl showing such amazing benevolence. Then came Cloud Stone again, where Death Metal proved that she was willing to do anything to protect Pearl. On and on they stayed together, even through their difference, it all came to this moment.

They slowly made their way from the table to a limo that was parked outside, with which the chauffeur drove them home, while another drove the hot rod behind them.

They stayed there in that limousine, balled up in each other’s arms. They were completely silent, they were blissful, in a state of zen that neither had ever known. Their love had reached a whole new peak and it was wonderful.

“Pearl…” Death said silently.

“Mmhmm?” Pearl leaned her cheek against hers.

“I love you.” She whispered into the pink mare’s ear, instantly causing her to break out in goosebumps, widening her eyes. She looked toward the white mare, a big bright smile on her face.

“I love you too, Daisy.”

They met in one more kiss.
